My family loved our time at this condo. It was beautifully updated, clean, very spacious and well stocked. The view from the lanai was amazing and was one of our favorite places to relax. It will certainly be the first place we look into booking when we return to the big island!

This condo is true to the photos (much appreciated)--immaculate, well appointed, choice location with fabulous views, nice amenities. The owner is a pleasure to work with, communicated clearly with kindness and accommodation. There were many things that enriched our stay, beginning with the welcome fruits/coffee/cookies, the beach equipment (chairs/cooler/umbrella/etc) and snorkeling gear, clear instructions how to use and care for condo equipment and appliances, nice linens and towels. This owner takes pride and care of their property and we truly appreciated the experience. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home.

We have stayed 3 times at Kanaloa and this is by far the nicest we have stayed in. It has a fully equipped kitchen, marvellous views, comfortable beds and everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The welcome basket was greatly appreciated.

Beautiful condo. The owners have thought of every convenience. Kitchen is as well stocked as we’ve ever seen. The view is gorgeous. We are golfers so really enjoyed watching people tee off right in front of us. We spent so much time out on the beautiful lanai that we wished for a second chaise lounge. Otherwise, pretty perfect!

The property exceeded our expectations! The view is exactly as pictured. The unit is more spacious than depicted in the photos. The unit was extremely clean, and the furnishings were very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen included everything you would need if you chose not to dine out. One of our top requirements was A/C throughout the rental, and Condo 1502 delivered cool nights along with stable Wi-Fi. The property was quiet. We loved the ocean side pool! We would definitely choose this property should we visit Kahaluu-Keauhou again!

From the minute we walked in, we could tell we made a great choice. We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and this one rates at the top! The listing and description of amenities and the pictures are spot on, cleanliness was superb. Thanks too for the Kona coffee. Sipping coffee and eating our breakfast papayas on the lanai was a great way to start off our morning as well as watching the sunset in the evening- so peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed the Ocean pool - lots of lounges and relaxing to hear the waves crash against the shore. The only thing I wished was that there was a music system or CD player in the living room. Would be nice to listen to music as we fix meals- but not a deal breaker. This complex is very quiet and well maintained. Thank you Mindy and Don for opening your home to us. We would love to return some day soon.

I wanted to reach out and say 'thank you' for the great stay (our second at Kanaloa) we had at your place last month! As always, your condo shines above the rest! We have very much grown to appreciate and enjoy what a great place you have. The weather was amazing during our stay, and we've enjoyed becoming comfortable with the area and all it has to offer that end of town (we even walked over to the Keauhou beach, which we'd never done before because the pools on property are go great)!
We are already starting to look at next year, and hope to be able to return again soon!

Our First Stay in 1502
The unit was one of the best ones in the resort (we have stayed in 3 other units and at the resort many different times). It was clean, decorated "Hawaiian Style" (but more comfortable furniture), the unit has been updated and everything was in great condition, everything we needed was available. The kitchen was well equipped, with supplies, pots and pans, and many cooking essentials. Also there was a lot of outdoor equipment, including masks, fins, and chairs. We are getting lazy and did not use these items. Sitting on the Lanai and watching the ocean and golf course was just the right activity for us! When we arrived, there was a basket of fresh fruit, some juices and water. I love avocados, and I can truly say that I have never seen one as big as the one that was left for us. It really was about the size of a small football! Also the owners could not have been more gracious working with us throughout the pandemic mess. This trip was booked over 2 years ago, and they moved the dates for us twice. We will definitely try to rebook 1502 in the future. Aloha, Craig and Sue

Wonderful condo and price value but no mention of facility removal of curbs with lots of construction noise in the mornings. I was disappointed that this was not mentioned when booking the condo.

Smooth, relaxing, beautiful stay
The stay was great, directions for things were clear, accessible, and easily found. The hosts were responsive but we hardly needed to bother them during our stay. Everything just went so smoothly. The bed is comfortable, everything felt clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, the view is great, and the condo is tastefully decorated. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Awesome condo with a spacious lanai for the sunsets
This was a great stay in an ideal location close to everything in Kailua-Kona. Best snorkeling was 4 mins away and 8 mins to another beach. Plenty of pools and bbq pits to use around the complex. The unit was clean and large and had everything we needed, including the lanai for breakfast and to watch the sunsets.
The reason for 4 stars was because of an additional fee that was charged. I messaged through the app the day of the reservation and did not get a response till I sent an email a couple weeks later. The policies say maximum occupancy is 6 people. Nowhere on their website or VRBO does it mention that any more than 4 people will there be an extra charge. Still today, no mention of a fee. Standard practice is to disclose all fees. So for an infant and a toddler, I was charged the same as if two grown adults stayed.
Other than that, everything’s was great and I would stay here again.

A view of paradise
A beautifully appointed 2BR condo with a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset, and overlooking the golf course green. Has EVERYTHING you need to feel pampered and also very much at home. I loved cooking here! Super easy to book. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because of noise from the upstairs condo during our stay, some related to construction.

Amazing Big Island vacation!
We've rented places all over the world, and Mindy's condo was BY FAR the nicest we've ever stayed in! We loved seeing all her artwork in the unit. The renovations/upgrades to the place are tasteful, well done, and they made us feel right at home. The bed was super comfortable, the double headed shower was amazing, and the kitchen has absolutely everything any chef would ever want!
The check-in and check-out process easy, and the people working at the property were all super friendly. It didn't rain much while we were there, but having the reserved covered parking was a very nice amenity as it seemed crowded during our stay.
We spent many nights just sitting on the lanai with a cool drink in hand watching the sunset. We ate out a few times, but with how nice the kitchen is, and how close the KTA is to get groceries, right here was the place we wanted to be!
The grounds and pools at Kanaloa are awesome, especially the Ocean Pool! Everything is very well kept and very presentable. You will have an amazing stay here too!

Fantastic condo, great location
Incredible condo, amazing view of the 12th hole of the golf course and ocean. The sunsets were amazing, and we got great pictures from the lanai. Close location to shops, restaurants, grocery store. Loved having 3 different pools to choose from. Since we were there right after Hawaii opening up, we often had a pool to ourselves. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Kona for more shops and restaurants. the rooms were large and really comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with glassware, pots, pans, etc. We really appreciated having the chairs to take to the beach, and boogie boards to use so we didnt have to rent any. Our only minor issue was the temperature of the condo. The book in the condo indicated to keep the temperature at 74 degrees, however, there was a lock box over the thermostat so we weren't able to change it from 77 degrees. We ended up using the fans majority of the time to help keep the condo cool. We would definately look to rent this condo again in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property for our family of 4! It was our first experience reserving a condo as we are used to staying at hotels. Communication with Mindy was great! As soon as we walked in, we felt like it was home for the week. Property had everything you needed and was super clean, which was so important to me! Having the A/C was great! Location of the property was great! First floor with lanai to see the beautiful views of the ocean and golf course. We highly recommend this property if you are in the Kona area. We were bummed to have to leave, so we extended our stay an extra night and Mindy was so accommodating with the extension. Hope to be back soon! Mahalo!

For a Great Vacation, Stay in Unit #1502
This is a beautiful and comfortable unit. This condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay on the Big Island. We were welcomed with a beautiful basket of fruit and snacks! The kitchen is fully furnished, including coffee maker and gold filter, wine bottle opener, freezer packers for a portable picnic lunch, and a few basic seasonings too. Paper towels are provided also. The bathrooms have enough large towels. The shower heads have good water pressure. The shower has shampoo, cream rinse and body wash available. The beds and pillows are comfortable for sleeping too! We enjoyed the ocean and golf course view from the covered lanai and ate our meals out there, even when it was raining. We appreciated the owners providing beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and even snorkel gear for use, if desired. It is a short drive to the shopping center where a grocery store, ice cream shop, and coffee are located. The pictures and description of this unit and condo complex are accurate. Everything was as expected. Instructions were clear and text messages were timely reminders too. This is a great place to stay during your vacation.

Wonderful stay
We loved our stay at Kanaloa at Kona, Condo 1502. Everything was wonderful. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and updated. The kitchen was well provisioned. All the linens, towels, beach towels and even shampoo and conditioner were provided. The location was excellent for our first trip to Hawaii. We used it as our home base to explore Kona, Hilo, Volcano National Park, Pu'uhonua O Hōnaunau National Historical Park, Kealakekua Bay and Honokohau Beach. And as others have mentioned the evening sunsets and ocean pool were fabulous. Would highly recommend this property.
Our only difficulty was in accessing the sofa bed as the coffee table is extremely heavy and hard to move. We also did experience some noise from above, but that happens in attached units.

Excellent Condo - Met or Exceeded our Expecations
The condo was perfect. We loved overlooking the golf course to the ocean. We enjoyed the manicured grounds of the golf course, the swaying palm trees and the waves crashing up on the rocks. Every evening we were home, we took the chairs that were stocked in the closet, along with our cocktails, out to the golf course to watch the sunset. Just be sure to stay at least 45 minutes after the sun dips below the horizon, because that's when the color really develops. The condo was updated, well decorated and roomy. We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the view. The closet is stocked full of chairs, snorkeling gear, coolers, boogie boards, etc - everything we needed.
The fruit basket was especially appreciated because we arrived late and hungry - so nice to have those snacks! There's not much within walking distance, but the location is still good. The night manta-ray tours are just around the corner. There is excellent snorkeling within a short drive. Downtown Kona a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Condo - Met or Exceeded Every Expectation
The view from the condo was spectacular. We prefer looking over the golf course to the ocean front because of the manicured green lawn and the swaying palm trees. You can still see and hear the waves crashing up on the rocks. Being right next to the golf course has the added benefit of easy access to wonderful sunset views. Just be sure to stay the 45 minutes after the sun dips below the horizon, because that's when the color really develops. We brought our beach chairs (from the excellently stocked closet) and our drinks out there every evening. Magical! The condo was well decorated, roomy, and updated. As mentioned before, there is a closet stocked with chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, sand mats, etc. Everything we needed was there. The condo grounds are also well maintained. The condo is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Kona, but there are excellent snorkeling sites both south and north from the condo, which makes it a convenient location to jump off from. We would definitely stay here again!

1502 - Perfect in Everyway
Condo 1502 at the Kanaloa at Kona was amazing. It is everything advertised and more. This was our third year there, and what a surprise when we walked into remodeled condominium. It has always been wonderful, but now it is totally updated. We never have a problem with any of the equipment or facilities. Along with the great facilities we are treated to a beautiful view of the golf course and the water. What more could you ask for?

Comfortable stay
We were very impressed with the detailed online photos and information posted when we booked unit 1502. The ocean view and wave sounds on the lanai were even better than the pictures. Every evening the ocean sunset was stunning. The condo was clean and comfortable with quality furnishings. We had every convenience we needed. We were glad we opted for the air conditioning upgrade. There was a nice fruit basket gift waiting when we arrived.
We appreciated use of the beach items such as chairs and umbrellas . The covered parking spot for the unit was not available because of some reconstruction so we had to load and unload a little further from the unit.
We had complete quiet the first 9 days of our stay . After that 2 families with children checked in above us . We were instantly impacted from noise above inside and out .We consequently made the choice to change our flight and
left a day early.
The owner was very helpful regarding any questions we had all through the rental experience. The Kanaloa Condo 1502 was very attractive and convenient and the grounds are beautiful.
