Only the top 1% of vacation rentals listed on the VRBO and Homeaway websites qualify for this prestigious status. To qualify, the home must be selected by Andrew Harper and complete their 75 point check list.
Private, direct beach access from this beautiful 3,000 square feet ocean front home...five bedrooms + kids' bunk room. Floor to ceiling windows throughout. Waves, surf, and whale watching galore. Fabulous location five miles south of Lincoln City and only one mile from the Salishan Coastal Lodge (golf, spa, swimming pool, tennis, fitness center, fine dining, zip lines).
Neptune Vacation Rentals is the ideal vacation home on Oregon's central coast. Perfect for large groups who need a spacious home or cozy enough for a couple looking for a private luxury getaway.
The ocean is right out the backdoor with a private path down to the beach. For folks with mobility issues, there is a gently sloping public entrance to the sand four houses away. It is a short drive to a wide variety of restaurants, groceries, shopping, antique stores, casino, and the Tanger outlet mall in Lincoln City. We are located five miles north of picturesque Depoe Bay and 15 miles north of Newport with its world class aquarium.
Neptune Vacation Rentals is a custom home built in 2006 and is over 3000 square feet with five bedrooms plus kids' bunk room and four full bathrooms. It has the finest quality furnishings and amenities.
There are three master suites. All of the beds are very comfortable and have luxury linens.
There is a living room on the main level with hardwood floors; a gas fireplace that has a quiet, adjustable-speed fan that throws out lots of BTUs; a large flat screen TV & DVD & DVR; and slider doors to the large, ocean front patio with a fire pit. You may see whales AND surfers!
There is a kids' play space with bean bags chairs, glow-in-the-dark stars and constellations on the ceiling, buckets of building block toys, and a basket of books.
The house also has a baby high chair, two Pak 'n Plays, baby dishes, cups, utensils and a dozen or so plastic covers for the electrical outlets. Step stool in each bathroom so toddlers can reach the sink.

Enjoy the oceanfront patio with wood-burning fire pit for cozy evenings watching the waves by moonlight. Watch the surf after dark with the beach flood lamp.

The fully provisioned gourmet kitchen has 180' oceanfront views, granite counter tops, island with a high end six burner gas cook top with telescopic down draft, double convection wall ovens, ultra-quiet Bosch dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, waste disposal, and built-in microwave. Off the kitchen is a fenced courtyard facing the ocean.

We’ve stayed here two years in a row and both times were excellent! The house layout is nice and open (kitchen/eating/living space). There is an amazing view of the ocean from the patio! I could sit out there all day! Love the fire pit!! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking for the family. The trail to the beach is difficult for older family members, so just be aware of that. If you’re able-bodied, you won’t have a problem.

Over the years, my wife and I have stayed at a LOT of vacation rentals across the country. This is one that truly exceeded expectations. The location is exactly as described on the beach with a private trail/steps a few meters down to the beach. There are gorgeous views from all the west-facing windows in the living area and upstairs bedrooms. And the house is as pictured in the photos.
The home was spotless when we arrived and exceedingly well organized. The kitchen is without question the best equipped of any vacation rental we have ever seen. Not just every imaginable pot, pan, appliance, and utensil. But quality stuff, not cheap Wal-Mart furnishings.
Communication with the host was excellent. And the checkout procedures were reasonable, not the endless list of tasks that some hosts expect done. All-in-all a first class operation in every way.

The house had everything you could possibly want, from GOOD toilet paper to a kitchen stocked to the hilt! It was so beautiful, comfortable bed, amazing views of the ocean everywhere, lovely, breathtaking balconies, ocean sounds to sleep by... it was just so cool, and that's only the HOUSE! The parking was perfect; we had four cars and didn't need the street. BEST OF ALL, I just had to walk out the door and down a little path to the beach and the ocean. I went for several walks in the 4 days; it was amazing, soul-feeding. I was so fortunate to have the means to do this. I wish everyone could.

We loved the view of the ocean & beach and proximity to Lincoln City, tide pools, and kayaking. Kitchen very well equipped and plenty of dishes for our 10 people. Ground floor bedroom off the garage, which we thought might be unappealing, was actually nice for those who need a more quiet space and their own private bathroom. 7-year-old and 18-mo. old children LOVED the playroom off the top-floor bunk room. Our couples in their 30s loved the 2 bedrooms that share a balcony and ocean views, while my husband and I, in our 70s, loved the spacious bedroom #2 with our own large bathroom. Path to beach might be challenging for those with mobility issues, but we all managed it fine, even with a baby in a back carrier. Parents loved that they didn’t have to pack cribs or high chairs or children’s dishes. Good and speedy communication with host.

Sandy’s house was the perfect getaway spot! The house is huge and had everything we could possibly need. And I mean everything! The beds were comfortable, everything was so clean, and the kids loved the little room connected to their bunk room. The views from the back porch and balcony were stunning, and we loved making s’mores over the fire pit. Everyone in our group absolutely enjoyed our stay, from age 11 to 45! This is a gem I hope to revisit someday.

We spent a week at the beach and the house fit our needs very well. The pictures in the VRBO listing are a good representation of the actual conditions of the home and furnishings. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We liked being able to look out the windows and see the ocean. Access to the beach was easy and we walked on the beach almost every day. Our host was very responsive to our questions and needs. Thank you.

The property is well maintained, very clean and well stocked. Floor to ceiling windows provide great ocean views. The second-floor bedrooms as well have wonderful views...... balcony is a real added bonus. The location is very convenient only a quick drive to Lincoln City and Depoe Bay. I can't say enough about Sandy, the host. She is extremely responsive, friendly and accommodating. Great stay!!!

We stayed at this house with a variety of ages from kids to adults and had a wonderful time! The view was amazing and the short walk down the path to the beach was so convenient. It was a peaceful location and is a great place to stay because you are about halfway between Lincoln City and Newport which made driving to various places really easy to do. The rooms were spacious and we had plenty of space to spread out in the house. The views from the living room and the upstairs bedrooms that face the ocean were breathtaking. Sandy is a fantastic host and was easy to reach with any questions. I highly recommend this house and this location. It was memorable for everyone and we would love to come back again!

Easy entry, well laid out, great beach access. Host was super. Only gripe and this is something that is an issue with almost every rental. Renters don’t wash dishes well at all, almost any hand wash item always requires washing before use.

This house was perfect for our family/friend trip. With great on-site beach access. Lots of room for everyone to be together in the living room and kitchen/dinning room area. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. With 4 of the 6 bedrooms basically being primary suites lots to choose from. Very nice beach decor throughout the home. Amazing house for our multi-generational family. Rooms are spacious and the multi levels meant that everyone felt like they had privacy if they wanted. Gorgeous views with large, floor to ceiling windows and patios made for spectacular sunsets even if you were busy in the kitchen. Can't say enough about it and the owner of the house is awesome with communication and graciousness.

This home was a dream. We used it for a mini family reunion: 5 couples and 1 single. The king and queen beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, even providing some coffee which we forgot. The main living area overlooks the ocean, and was the most relaxing distraction we've had in a long time. We made use of the oversized dining table for eating, playing games, and reading. The weather was pretty near perfect for December, and we enjoyed the fire pit one evening.
There is a path direct to the beach that we all used daily. We had a little problem with one of the TVs, but our host Sandy was very responsive and easy to communicate with, and she had it fixed as soon as she could.
There are stairs. My 94 yr old dad climbed the 5-6 stairs to his bedroom each eve and did fine. Just be aware of this. The basement bedroom while it doesn't have a view, provided the most quiet and privacy.
The home is in a quiet neighborhood, and we meet several locals who used the adjoining lot to access the beach. It was a delightful stay! Thanks Sandy!

We stayed for a long weekend in early December. The Ocean views are unbeatable! The main living area and 2 of the upstairs bedrooms have huge windows with full view of the ocean. The house sits on a cliff/steep hill about 20-25 feet above the ocean. We had a 1.5 and 4 year old with us and they needed close supervision in the front yard. There is a reasonably easy path down to the beach right out the front yard. For folks with balance issues or knee injuries, there is even easier access 1 block north.
The kitchen was well stocked. We made most of our meals there. There is no vent or fan for the gas range, which is nice visually, but the smoke detector went off a couple of times when we were cooking even though there was no smoke. We ended up leaving the door cracked open when cooking to keep it from going off.
There were lots of beach toys for the kids as well as books for little kids, a kids nook and duplo blocks. The beds are comfortable. We never ended up going there, but we heard the Side Door Cafe just a few blocks inland is very good.

Awesome ocean view!!! We were coincidentally treated to a storm while there and we spent the whole day watching the crashing waves…. The house was immaculate and it was so nice to have the well stocked kitchen. Also having the garage to park in since it was raining sideways was wonderful. The owner (Sandy) has gone above and beyond, not only in he the home is furnished but in making sure the kitchen is stocked just like you would find in your own home. She also was so great at communicating with all of the information needed for the rental prior to us checking in.
The only word of caution is the tied to the parking situation for such a big house. Only 4 cars are allowed as there is no street parking. The listing is very clear on this and Sandy gave us lots of warnings leading up to the trip, which we appreciated!! We did not have any issues for our trip, but it might be more difficult if you have smaller groups of people coming together from different places and all planning on staying in the home.
We had family in a separate rental across the street, and I am sure it will be a race to see who can get this house booked first when/if we venture back to Gleneden Beach!

We love this home so much, this was our third time staying. The house is very well appointed and has the most amazing beach views. The beds, couch and chairs are all very comfortable which allows everyone the ability to relax. The kitchen is so well stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, ziplock bags, foil, cling wrap, paper towels and napkins that you only need to supply the food. Sandy is so accommodating and easy to work with and is quick to respond to emails. This is our favorite beach home and we look forward to many returns.

The home, amenities and views were spectacular. We had a long delayed family reunion and greatly enjoyed each others company. We did puzzles, cooked and watched baseball as we reconnected. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, five of the eleven of us tested positive for Covid after returning home! Despite that, it was totally worthwhile.

A group of my first cousins and I meet up here every year and have a glorious extended weekend. The house has never been anything but perfect when we’ve been there. And the location couldn’t be better as it is right on the ocean and if the weather is bad you can still enjoy it through the beautiful living room and kitchen windows.
Sandy is lovely to work with as well.
Not to mention it is an extremely good value for where it is, and the size of the house- which I GREATLY appreciate!

I have stayed at this gorgeous home several times, and already have it reserved for next year. We love the location, right on the beach for our long walks collecting agates. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you need for preparing meals. There is plenty of room for a group. The location is excellent for quick sightseeing trips or finding good restaurants. There is a little market only two miles away, and a larger (Safeway) market eight miles from the house. We love to purchase fresh seafood from Barnacle Bills in Lincoln City. The halibut is incredible! The host is very attentive, providing all the information you need, and is easy to reach should you have a question. I can't wait for my next stay!
