About this apartment rental

It will only take about 30 seconds to walk to the sand from our unit. It is also centrally located near Vons Grocery store, a liqueur store, several nice restaurants and fast food. A Subway, a donut shop a coffee shop and Jack's Surf Shop are at the end of the street. You will have much more in this kitchen than in the average rental, similar to your kitchen at home. The unit is updated and very clean. In the garage we have bikes, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, toys and more.

Our neighborhood is one short block from the boardwalk to Balboa Blvd. Most of the homes on this street are full-time residents with just a few rentals, so it is relatively quiet compared to some other areas known for parties. Location is great since it is so close to the bay, the beach, the Newport Pier, restaurants, grocery stores, drug store, etc. It is really not necessary to drive anywhere for basic needs. We usually walk or ride our bikes to restaurants and other establishments.

Walking and biking are the main ways we get around as it is an easy walk to most stores, restaurants, the pier area, the beach and the bay. Biking is fun as you can ride on the boardwalk for almost the length of the peninsula making it a safe ride away from cars. That being said people do like to drive to Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach and Disneyland which is an easy drive and scenic for the beach cities. The fun Zone and Balboa Island Ferry is a longer walk for small children, so a car is appropriate sometimes for that area.
The city of Newport Beach has a rule for community noise control. This is due to the fact that we have a lot of visitors on the peninsula and the islands, and homes can be quite close to each other. So occupants must be very respectful of their neighbors. There should be no noise to be heard from neighbors from the hours of 10 pm to 7 am the next morning and during the day the noise level should not be disturbing or more than 45 DBA. If this rule is broken by any occupants, they could be subject to a $500 fine.

This was our second stay & it did not disappoint. Trying to impress 3 teens is no easy task, but all 3 kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay & are already asking when we can come back. This place truly has it all. The location is fantastic & is central to just about anything you would want to do while down at the beach. The accommodations were just as great. The unit is spacious, super clean, updated, and very well maintained. Getting to park in a garage space is always an added bonus, so that was appreciated & having access to a washer & dryer was a nice treat. The kitchen was extremely well stocked (more than most VRBOs), and there were plenty of games to pass the time and beach gear/equipment stocked in the garage. The kids took full advantage of the bicycles in the garage & enjoyed daily bike rides. With all of the different amenities this place has to offer, it’s very easy to just pack a bag & go. Lastly, communication was easy & the hosts were very accommodating. I would definitely come back!

We can’t say enough about our experience at this beach house. It was perfect! Beautiful view of the beach/ocean while relaxing on the balcony. Steps away from your toes in the sand. We could go play at the beach then walk back to the house for lunch, then back to the beach. Location couldn’t be better! My family all said this was their family beach house of all the ones we have stayed at over the years and I agree! Loved the convenience of the washer/dryer and that owners supplied the soap and dryer sheets! So nice! And the beach toys and gear…so generous to provide use of all these items. Saved us a loy of extra packing when we planned this trip. Thank you thank you! We will be back! 😊

Great location and huge garage space with lots of beach supplies. Perfect spot for our family getaway. Joe was a gracious host and always available for anything we needed. We will stay here again!

We had an amazing time during our stay. The space is large and everyone felt like they had their own space. We were so close to the beach you could hear the waves and smell the salt air. The location is great. We will be back for sure.

We lived in CA 1980 through 2001. Grew up taking the bus to the Pier and staying all day at the beach. Loved the local flavor of the food. Loved the place we stayed. Overall great time.

We had a wonderful time in this upper unit! Spacious and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some including everything you could imagine to use at the beach. Super clean and updated which we loved. Location is perfect, 2 minutes from the beach, and could walk to anything we needed. Garage was spacious for parking which was great as well. We LOVED our stay and will definitely be back! Thank you Joe and Joan!

My family enjoyed the rental. It was very well stocked with all needs, like beach towels, towels, soaps, dishwasher detergent, etc. the appliances were great quality, which made washing clothes easy and quick especially since the washer/ dryer was in the unit! (Rare for beach towns in So Cal.). Overall it was a great location to beach and very close food and grocery store. Our kids loved the beach toys. I would stay there again as it was a pleasant experience.

Great location, incredibly comfortable/cozy and clean! The owners were very communicative and helpful when we got a “tad” lost. Walking distance to the beach, eateries, and shops. Our teenaged kids loved it - would 100% come back for our next beach get-away!

We stayed at this home for 3 nights in March, grandparents, adult kids, and 5 young grandkids. Even though it was cold and rainy during our stay, it was wonderful to be so close to the beach! It's a perfect spot if you want to have easy access to the beach and a cozy place to come back to. We stayed in the upstairs half. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and the house was very quiet - the family staying below us said they couldn't hear any noise from the kids. This home is also close to the shops at Newport Beach. Doughnuts almost every morning!

Located just 60 feet or so from the beach and boardwalk on Newport Beach, this house was incredible. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and this might be the most equipped and well stocked house for all of your needs on your vacation stay. It is truly a gem, and we will stay here again!

We had a wonderful family trip to Joan and Joe's home in Newport Beach. The place has been recently remodeled and was beautifully furnished. We slept great on the super comfortable beds. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the essentials and we really appreciated the little extra things like aluminum foil and plastic wrap. It was nice that beach chairs and towels were provided and our grandson enjoyed playing in the sand with the beach toys. The location is perfect. Just steps to the beach and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It was nice to have a garage so we didn't have to search for on street parking. Joan and Joe were great hosts. They were very responsive and easy to work with. They communicated with us throughout the rental process and made sure we had all the information we needed. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us, Joan and Joe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to be back soon.

I found the unit to be almost luxurious with all the amenities- ample dishes and glassware- a higher quality than I would have expected. The unit was spacious. I enjoyed having a 2nd TV!

This property was THE BEST! It was clean and had everything available! Bikes beach essentials the kitchen was loaded!! The location was PERFECT! You could walk less then 10 minutes to food and fun. We would 100% stay here again!!

What a beautiful home. Sitting on the balcony watching the waves in the morning made my day. Our family had plenty of space and felt very at home. It’s close to everything you want out of Newport and the beach was spectacular. The home had bikes, beach toys, chairs, etc. Joe and Joan were excellent hosts and very responsive. We will be back!
