About this cabin rental
The cabin located on Lake Tahoe's famous West Shore in the Sunnyside area and up against the Kent Nat. forest. And our property HOA has our own private beach (700'). The cabin looks over the forest which makes it very private as there are no homes in the back, only the forest. The road in front has very light traffic and the whole neighborhood is very peaceful. Parking for 4 to 5 cars and full snow removal is automatically done in the winter. You can walk to our private beach which has benches, picnic tables, bar be cues, play ground, horseshoes, basketball & volleyball all on Lake Tahoe. Your can also walk to the famous Sunnyside Resort Which is next to our property.
There two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs and each has a queen-size bed. There is a fireplace in the living room/family room and wood is provided. Upstairs there is a bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed. The other bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. The cabin can sleep up to 10. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and everything else that makes up a modern kitchen. One half of my rental business comes from past renters.
Please not that June, July, August and the last half of December require a one week rental period. If you have any questions please send me an email. Please note that you must bring you own linen (sheets, towels and pillow cases) Otherwise the cabin if fully furnished including high speed internet.

We have used this cabin several times because of its gigantic deck, its access to the private homeowners' beach, and its usefulness for large family gatherings. This is a great "old Tahoe" ski cabin with the bonus of a wonderful deck for summer users. There is comfortable seating in the living room and a large dining table with a colorful vinyl tablecloth. It has comfortable beds for plenty of people, small bathrooms and a "two butt" kitchen that nonetheless has the plates/cutlery/glasses and kitchen tools to easily feed 15 people. Be sure to look for the full sized John Wayne poster in the main bedroom! A fan helps with upstairs air stagnation. If you are looking for utility and an authentic old Tahoeatmosphere, this is your place! PS the owner is very helpful.

My family and I loved staying in the beautiful cabin. Access to the private beach area is a huge bonus, especially if you have kids with you. Also proximity to a market and a great breakfast spot. We'd love to stay here again! Thank you Chuck 🙏💛

This is a great place to stay, the private beach area is amazing and in walking distance! Having to bring your own sheets and towels was no big deal, kind of liked that I knew they had been washed and cleaned. The place was mostly clean, however we found some dishes were dirty in the cupboards, but not the end of the world. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was great! My friends all agreed we’d return the next time we’re in Tahoe. Excellent location to stay at if you’re headed to Palisades and Alpine Meadows. It’s only about a 15-20min drive.

Communication with Chuck was great. Cabin was conveniently located near town and a couple of great restaurants. We enjoyed the private beach immensely. We did need to buy a new propane tank for the bbq because the two that were provided were either empty or didn't work. Also, be sure to take all of your belongings. I'm still waiting to receive an item we left behind even though I've offered to pay for any shipping costs. Not Chuck's fault we left the item behind but would appreciate getting it back. Overall, the cabin is great especially for large families.

This was my second stay in Chuck’s home. Wonderful new upgrades. When I go outside on the deck I feel so relaxed and contented. My communication with Chuck has been so positive. I will be returning, hopefully, many more times.

We had a wonderful stay. It was clean, had great cabin vibes and very peaceful. It accommodated our family great with the kids being able to all stay together in the large room upstairs. The host was very communicative and easy to work with. We travel to Tahoe 2x year and are happy to have found this cabin to return to. It checks all the boxes!

The cabin was exactly what we wanted - an affordable, spacious and friendly cabin, well located, clean, supplied with everything we needed for our 5 night stay , among the snow and pines while our adult son went snowboarding at nearby Pallisades to celebrate his fortieth! The owner messaged us on our arrival to make sure everything was OK (which it was).

Had a week long stay during heavy snowfall. The driveway was cleared in the morning and a shovel was available for snow around cars. The cabin was warm and comfortable even with the weather outside. Relaxing place to spend time at Tahoe.

Loved this cabin so much! Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen and responsive owner. Vintage mountain decor made it even more special. Would definitely rent this again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Sunnyside cabin. It had plenty of space for our family of five. The floors and couches have been updated from the pictures shown.
It’s just the short walk to use the beautiful private beach. The deck is very spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. We loved the cabin in the woods experience and we plan to return!

Beautiful Cabin
This cabin is absolutely beautiful and stocked with everything you’d need. You do have to bring your own linens and towels but everything else you could possibly need was provided.
My only real disappointment was that the description didn’t mention there is a very busy campground directly behind the cabin. I was looking for a quiet weekend and happened to stay on a very busy weekend. So there wasn’t much peace and quiet due to rowdy campers.
There was a small issue with the cleanliness of the kitchen, but that is definitely not the owners fault. Seems some dishes were accidentally put away dirty. I spoke to Chuck about this and he was very apologetic and I’m sure he had taken it up with his cleaning service by now. Alas, we are only human and these things happen.
All in all we had a great time. The private beach was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant suggestions from Chuck were terrific.
Chuck was extremely kind and very responsive. It was sad to me that he had to put signs up asking people not to write on the walls? Who could be so inconsiderate of another’s property?
I will definitely stay again, I will just be sure to not go on a holiday weekend!

If you go in the summer, big patio will make it up for aging cabin with questionable cleaning crew.
Owner is very responsive and you can't beat this location.

We had a great time at Chuck's cabin in Lake Tahoe. There was plenty of room for the five of us and it was a great location. All was as advertised. The generous supplies of laundry and dish soap and a very well stocked kitchen were great pluses. We were originally asked to provide our own towels and sheets but when we explained we were flying to California and weren't able to provide those, the owner provided them. The large deck and quiet back yard backing up to a national forest campground (that was empty at the time) was a great asset. The restaurant and deli within walking distance was very handy, the Fire Sign Cafe had a wonderful breakfast. The owner was responsive to our questions and issues. The only reason I gave it a four instead of five stars was that I felt it was a little less clean than most units I've stayed in, but when I mentioned it to the owner, he said he would check it out with his cleaning service, so hopefully that issue will be rectified in the future. The furnishings were a bit worn but I think that can be common for older cabins in the woods, it was well used and well loved it seems! All in all it was a great stay and i would go back in the future. thanks, Chuck!

Spacious & Comfortable; Wonderful Deck
The McCormick cabin is well appointed and lovingly maintained, with access to a pleasant nearby private beach. As advertised, it has a very spacious back deck overlooking a forest campground, plus 4 bedrooms & enough beds to sleep 10--yet felt perfectly cozy for our smaller group of four adults. Chuck was a genial host and clearly wanted us to enjoy his place. Our one big disappointment--very noisy construction next door--was beyond his control, and he ultimately compensated us very fairly for the lost opportunity to enjoy his delightful place during the weekdays.

Cozy and convenient
The pictures don’t do this place justice! It’s a must see in person. Very roomy, cozy and comfortable for our group of friends. It’s only a five minute walk to the private residential beach and there are some cute restaurants and shops at the end of the street. The deck is amazing and backs up to a forest and campground. The place is fully stocked with kitchen and cleaning supplies. Chuck was communicative and courteous. We had a great staycation and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Stay
Loved the location. It is walking distance to the community lake access. We were 10 people and had plenty of room! The large deck attached to the living room door was amazing! Held our whole group comfortably. Driveway held 3 cars. Plus fully stocked with cooking accessories. Small kitchen but very upgraded. Loved the cabin feel very cozy. We would love to stay here again. Only negative things I can say. The upstairs room with 4 beds. The windows are floor length and lots of light come in. The curtains are white. So if you like to sleep in it’s very bright in the morning. Also the windows are updated, but one window opens to just a screen then drops two stories to the ground. Made me nervous to have the window open with my 4 year old.

PERFECT GETAWAY
We loved this home. It was well equipped and very cozy. The deck was amazing and we ate all our meals outside. It was just a couple blocks from the private beach and the Sunnyside Resort. We can’t wait to come back.

Very nice cabin, excellent location.
Comfortable 4-bedroom cabin with a wonderful back deck. Easy walking distance to High Sierra Water Ski School, Sunnyside Restaurant, West Shore Market, West Shore Sports, Fire Sign Cafe and Spoon restaurant. We went boating, tubing, and kayaking on the lake, and out to a fancy dinner, all without getting in the car. We also had some meals on the cabin's beautiful back deck. The cabin is in a quiet, peaceful, wooded neighborhood, yet only a short drive to downtown Tahoe City. Hiking trails, Tahoe Treetop Adventure Parks, Squaw Valley and beaches are all nearby. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking and eating in. The beds were comfortable, and the blankets provided were especially soft and cozy. My only criticism is that the upstairs bathroom was not clean when we arrived. I would stay here again.

Awesome experience!
Chucks house is beautiful and is in a fantastic and quiet neighborhood located close to major ski areas. We leverage quick access to the backside of alpine meadows. Lots of space in the house and lots of snow!

Lovely Family Vacation!
Chuck is awesome and his cabin is lovely! Plenty of room for my family! It really was the perfect place for our family vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! As a kid, my parents took my siblings and I to the Tahoe Park neighborhood every summer for vacation and I am delighted to continue the tradition with my own children. Thank you, Chuck! Until next year!

Lake Tahoe cabin
Our family recently rented the Tahoe Park cabin for a small reunion. We had 5 adults and two children in the cabin and there was plenty of room for everyone. The cabin itself is clean and well-furnished with all the items needed for the week including all the cooking gear, plates, silverware etc.
We spent a great deal of time on the deck. It is outfitted with a large wooden picnic table and umbrella which we used for most meals. Also, there are several comfortable lounge chairs and seats which made it a great gathering spot.
The private beach area is a short walk away. We ended up driving there and parking as we had to bring all the beach toys, chairs, umbrellas etc that we like to use. The beach area is very nicely appointed and was enjoyed by our family.
There is a nice (safe) bike path that runs along the lake for some distance. We rode into Tahoe City for fun and shopping.
All in all, we were very pleased with our experience. The cabin is not fancy, but was a perfect family gathering location and we would love to return sometime in the future.
