Came up to Chico to escape the urban fireworks in Oakland. Had a lovely stay with our pup and got to adventure up to Lake Almanor.

Very spacious and comfortable little craftsman bungalow updated and remodeled nicely. We had plenty of room with all necessary amenities. Having an ev the car charger was very convenient. The porch is wonderful for cool mornings and evenings - the only suggestion there would be a screen door. Host was very communicative and friendly. Highly recommend and we shall return again.

A wonderful house for a visit to Chico. Walking distance from Cafe Code and Helen's Donut Nook is a huge perk, and it seemed like a quiet part of town while we were there.

The house was extremely clean and well appointed. It was an oasis in a very hot and tiring trip moving my daughter into her rental house on her college journey. I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for us and our dog. There was no problem finding the house or gaining entry. The house was absolutely immaculate and just as described. We will definitely stay there again.

The house was clear, had all the amenities, and only a 4 minute drive to downtown Chico. Very spacey to have family to come over for a few hours. Supplies for cooking, showing, and cleaning were provided.

The rental is recently remodeled and has a modern open floor plan. It is close to downtown, Sierra Nevada Brewery and Lower Bidwell park. The backyard’s low back fence gives you a view of the Little Chico Creek.

It would of been good to know ahead of time that there were homeless and tent camp next door

Our family with 2 dogs stayed here a couple of nights to visit family in Chico, House is exactly as presented and met our needs well. It is centrally located and close to everything. As others have noted, Chico has a large homeless problem and some are camped nearby on the creek. I walked

The place was great for us while in town for a game. The house is perfect for 4 people. We found it clean, neat, and well stocked. Only two additions would be 2 more chairs so all could eat at the table and a wider bathroom door for the visible door from living room. We loved the open floor plan and fenced backyard. We appreciate the warning of the intermittent homeless camp close by. There were no issues, just a potential. We will stay again when there is only 4 of us.

After reading some of the other reviews we were a little concerned about the surrounding area, but had no issues at all! The house is incredibly clean, modern, and decorated in a way that feels warm and comforting. The setup was perfect and we had everything we needed. Super close to downtown! Our dog enjoyed the closed in backyard where she could walk around, sniff and do her thing…and we didn’t have to watch her. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we go to visit our daughter in college. Thanks Rogers for the awesome place and swift and easy communications! Until next time…!

Excellent layout -all modern - great rapport with VRBO owner
Highly recommend- easy walk or biking to Bidwell Park

Everything was fantastic except there are homeless tents right behind the house and somewhat around it. Nothing you can do about it but I think future renters should be aware. We had a five year old with us and I was a worried. We also walked to downtown which is about a mile away but the neighborhood was not kid friendly. The Main street also had lots of homeless people sleeping on the street. Maybe this is part of Chico but was unexpected for us, first-timers.

I would love to be able to give this house a good review but due to the horrible neighborhood it is located in could not. The house itself was nice but when we walked in and went out to the backyard you are looking at a transient incampment. Really feel this should have been disclosed as we would not have stayed here. Woke up in middle of night to a fight going on there. Not fun. So, cannot recommend this place.

I had a last minute booking with a few of my friends to go shopping in downtown Chico for my birthday, so I figured this would be the perfect spot to stay as it is less than a mile from the downtown shopping district of Chico. This house ended up being so much more! The host was incredibly polite, the area couldn't be beat, and the inside was so tasteful and open. The kitchen especially was a blast to cook in! We seared and roasted a whole untrimmed tri-tip and it went like a dream with all the baking cooking essentials provided by the wonderful host. I will definitely be booking this VRBO again, as it feels just like home!

House was perfect! Adorable, cozy and VERY comfortable bed. Struggled to figure out the door code thing, but the owner responded quickly and it all worked out! Thank you-

Nicely done renovation, it's a small house but so roomy, clean and comfortable. Can't think of a single amenity that was missing.

The renovation of this property was done with the utmost thought of welcoming future guests. The added touches did not go unnoticed. My stay was ever so comfortable in this sweet home. I will most definitely make this my home away from home on my Chico visits!

Perfect location for visiting my daughter attending Chico State! Would have loved a little more common area seating for hanging out with friends but still a great spot to stay when visiting!

We enjoyed staying at this Humboldt St house. It was close to everything. The large tree in the backyard shaded the backyard all day. I loved sitting outside. The homeless camp had been disbanded, but there was one tent that came back. No problems at all. I will definitely stay there again, as my son is going to Chico State.

We absolutely loved this adorable house. It was clean and very thoughtfully renovated. The pictures do not do it justice. We had no issues with anything. While visiting our daughter who is a Chico State student, we spent a day driving around and visiting the antique shop downtown. The next day, we drove about 15 minutes to the Sacramento River to fish and enjoy the beauty of the area. It was a wonderful few days. We will be back to this home for our next visit!

This property was a wonderful, cozy, and immaculately clean home for our weekend visit to see our Chico State student. It was close to everything and super convenient to get to the freeway or to downtown. The bed was comfortable and the washer and dryer were very helpful after a long day of hiking. I would definitely recommend this home for couples or a small family.

We were very happy with our stay! It is centrally located, easy to get to and from anywhere in Chico. I was away for a well needed girls weekend and it was perfect!
The only downfall would be that the backyard was not as well kept as the rest of the house so it wasn't as inviting to hang out there. There is a homeless camp below, but they don't bother the property because there is a fence and high wall. Also, it is pretty close to the racetrack and that could be heard, but they stop racing pretty close to 10:00 it made it tolerable.
I would definitely stay again! The place is equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and cute and well maintained. Loved it!

We stayed for 4 days to visit family. It was a great central location for all parties to meet and relax together. The house is well appointed and Rogers has done a great job of updating it throughout. The Chico skate park is a quick couple of blocks away and my kids loved using it. The only drawback is the homeless situation. They are literally living in the creek area directly behind the backyard. We had to place paper over the back window so they wouldn't be able to look in at night. We didn't feel safe in the backyard and my young sons actually saw a woman taking her clothes off presumably to "wash-up" in the river...It's too bad, the house is really cute and we had a great time other than the homeless issue, hence the 4 stars. I would suggest raising the height of the back fence however...

My husband and I came to Chico to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we rented this home. It is immaculate and nicely remodeled. We brought our dog who loved hanging out on the front porch with us watching our favorite college town go from day to night. We were able to walk downtown and check out some of the newer restaurants and hot spots. Bidwell Park is also within walking distance. The house could use a bit more seating in the living room/dining room area--the couch is small and if more than 2 people stayed it would be a tight fit. Also the backyard outdoor furniture was pretty dusty (though the furniture on the front porch was clean). Overall a great spot for the price.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully renovated Chico home. The decor and updates were great, location was central and close to downtown. The yard was great and we loved being able to walk a few blocks to the park! We will definately be back.
