About this house rental

The perfect setting for a relaxed family get away or group retreat! This beautiful rustic-modern lake house provides restoration and peace on one of the best coves of the lake.

Property features almost an acre in a quiet cul-de-sac, 4 bedrooms including a new bunk room, making it a perfect space for retreat and connection.

Covered patio complete with solo fire pit, large backyard for play, outdoor grill, and plenty of space on the dock for kayaking, fishing or other sports. Our deep cove offers the experience to enjoy each other with plenty of personal space.

Our lake house sits on .75 acre lot with beautiful trees scattered throughout. Our 4 bedrooms complete with a new garage-converted bunkhouse is complete with 3 full bottom/twin top bunk beds and a private bath.

Some of the things so many of us love the most about our home include:
- a deep cove at the south end of the lake great for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding
- a private dock with a beautiful viewing of both the cove and open water
- 2 fire pits - solo on our relaxing porch and another closer to the dock
- an indoor fireplace
- a bunkhouse and game room
- quiet cove for walking, biking
- well-equipped kitchen with Nespresso Vertuoline and Keurig, toaster, spices, dish ware and flatware, microwave, gas stove,
- a propane grill

This is our fourth year in a row booking at cedar creek lake and And this location is by far the best location er have stayed at!! The host was very attentive and answered all the calls right away. Our family has stayed at several VRBOs on Cedar creek.We have finally found our favorite...perfect location on a quiet cove. our grandchildren range in age from 17 to 24 and the bunkroom was perfect for them. We found everything we needed in the kitchen...all of it labeled. Plenty of storage for food and extras we brought in the laundryroom. Two refrigerators were very helpful. We enjoyed the deck during the day and at night. We caught lots of fish right off the dock. The paddleboards and kayaks were used alot. We enjoyed meeting the great neighbors and their pups. Great times and memories were had by all. We will definitely be back. Thank you April for your hospitality.

This property has a beautiful setting with many mature trees, a spacious lawn and a very nice lake view. The yard is fenced, which is great if you have small children. There is a large patio where the views can be enjoyed, especially sunsets! The house has a large living room with huge windows overlooking the lawn and the lake, furnished comfortably and tastefully. The kitchen is efficient and roomy and fully equipped. The master bedroom & bath are large and well appointed; the other bedrooms are a little small but very tidy. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a delightful, nicely decorated, well-equipped home right on a beautiful quiet cove. We spent a long Father's Day weekend there with our kids and grandkids. We had more than enough room inside and loved sitting out on the porch watching the kids play in the beautifully landscaped yard. It was especially nice to have the yard fenced all the way down to the lake so we didn't have to constantly worry about the little ones around the water. We were able to tie our pontoon boat up to the dock and take it out often so the younger ones could have fun tubing and the older kids could wakeboard and kneeboard. The kitchen has literally everything you need, and as an added bonus, the drawers and cabinets are all labeled! We can't wait to go back!

We had a great weekend at the beautiful lake house for two families. The house was perfect for our trip including the large dock for fishing, swimming and boating. We caught endless fish right off the dock with the kids loved it. We spent the majority of the time on the lake, on the dock, or playing in the large back yard. The kitchen had everything you would need and could not think of anything I would ask for different. The owners we also very helpful and gracious with anything we may have needed (although we did not need anything).

We loved our week long stay here! I don't think there's anything I would have changed. The house was very roomy and open and never felt crowded. The kitchen had labels on the drawers and cabinets so it made finding things a breeze. The backyard was huge and completely fenced so we never had to worry about kids going where there weren't supposed to. The dock was plenty big enough to tie up our 22' boat. It is located in a quiet cove in a no wake zone so no worries about the children swimming off the dock. Lots of stores/restaurants within 15 minutes to get anything you may need. We would definitely stay here again!!

HIGH dollar 4 night stay at a sub par rental. No cleaning supplies, worn out furniture, lights don’t work and half of the bulbs burned out, Wi-Fi is trash, lady who runs it is in for quick cash grab. States a pet fee, she charged me double that. Place stays 16 I guess she doesn’t realize that people travelling from all over can’t carpool. She is trying to charge me for damage to the grass that was already there and claiming we damaged the neighbors septic. Yeah right. Cash grab. I’ve stayed in over 50 rentals over the last 10 years and I’ve never had a problem, not one. Never again.

We celebrated my mom's 75th birthday here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is clean, comfy, and spacious. We had more than enough space for 6 adults and 5 kids. The bunk room is such a perfect addition and we stayed in that space with our littles. We cooked all of our meals, so we were thrilled that there was adequate space to keep our food- 3 fridges and shelving in the utility room. The yard and boat dock/deck were perfect for hanging out, swimming, and fishing. We loved being able to use the stand-up paddle boards and kayak, too! Lonestar Marina is close-by, so we were able to easily rent a boat for part of our stay. We loved that this house is tucked into a cove, so boat traffic was minimal and it was a quiet spot. The neighbors were also really sweet and helpful, but we also had zero issues hearing from the owner/manager whenever we had questions. Response time was really quick. We made some great memories at this lake house and would definitely rent it again!

This lake house was the perfect setting for our small family reunion with my husband’s mom and brother’s family to celebrate Christmas. The kids fished from the dock, we enjoyed the fire pit and tree swing, and had an overall relaxing stay. Everything we could need to prepare family meals was there. The house is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and in a quiet peaceful setting. Huge backyard backing right up to the lake. We hope to plan a summer visit as well and rent a boat or bring some kayaks.

We really enjoyed staying at this Lakefront property it was exactly as pictured and described. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was very well stocked and organized. The only reason for less than 5 stars was that the grill was unusable and unsafe and unfortunately we had planned three dinners for using the grill! Oh well we improvised and it was fine. But given the condition of the connections and starter it is not safe and should be replaced for others after us. Otherwise we had a great time and had lots of fun kayaking with our family.

The description and photos don't do the property justice. Its much better in person. The house was equipped with everything we needed for two families of 4. Lake access couldn't be more convenient. One thing that stood out to me and separates this experience from other properties we've vacationed at is the neighborhood treated us as if we've lived there for years. Sometimes vacation rentals get frowned upon in neighborhoods but this was not the case. We met every adjacent neighbor and were welcomed over as if we were family. Would rent again for sure.

The property was immaculate, designed for lake living, comfortable and functional furniture, large body of water (that was just the master bath), expansive yard (used for Easter Egg hunt), extensive meal preparation items, and dock capable of being used by numerous fishermen. Nice yard. Horrible experience. Nothing works. No tvs, cable or dvd players as advertised Jetted tub doesnt work, again as advertised Half the lights didnt work Contacted property owner and complained and we were told as long as we left by noon we could get a refund. This was after we unpacked, spent over 500 on groceries and got settled in with our special needs 4 yr old. Dont do it. 2000 grand down the drain.

We loved our weekend stay at this home. It is has comfy beds and furniture, good water pressure, and plenty of linens. It has a very well equipped kitchen. Overall It feels much more like staying in a friend's home rather than in a vacation rental. The neighborhood is quiet, the lake is great for paddling (we took our kayaks) the views out the back are lovely and even in cool weather you can have a cozy lake visit with the firepit on the porch or the fireplace inside. This is a great spot.

My family enjoyed staying at The Retreat House. The main living/kitchen area is open with high ceilings & a beautiful view of the lake. The large manicured lawn with tall trees and a tree swing Is great for playing outdoor sports. The boat dock has a large outdoor sectional couch & a picnic table to spend time relaxing on the lake. The hosts provide many essentials for cookIng and we’re kind to provide a welcome basket filled with snacks. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend!
