About this house rental
This 2 story home has 4 bedrooms, 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 set of bunk beds and 2 twin beds sleeping 8 comfortably. It has an on suite bathroom off the master as well as a full bath on the 2nd floor and a 1/2 bath on the first floor. It is a light and airy space with a side yard, great for outdoor dining and relaxing. This home is just a few blocks from the beach, you can see the boardwalk from the street!! We have 2 beach cruiser bicycles that you can use to cruise Main street or ride the boardwalk to Asbury Park!

This was our first week long stay in Ocean Grove and we loved it! Julie communicated early with info for our upcoming stay and was responsive to our questions. The walk was easy to the beach and we rode bikes everywhere, including all the restaurants and activities in Asbury Park. Sea Star is cozy and fit our family of 7, 2 of the bedrooms were perfect for our 4 kids and we loved the primary suite. The available bikes and beach gear was a big plus as well!

This house is well-kept, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. All amenities were as described. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The kitchen contained everything we needed for food prep (we did a lot of our own cooking). Julie is a fantastic host - her communications were timely, helpful, and very kind. There are narrow stairs and low ceiling to get to second floor, and AC window units (a little noisy but kept house nice and cool), all typical for Ocean Grove. The location is great - beautiful wide street, quiet friendly neighborhood, lots of parking close by (not always a given in OG!), easy walk to the beach. Highly recommended!

Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. All amenities you could need for a beach getaway. We appreciated the outdoor patio area for bbq and family meals. Town and the beach were just a short walk from the house plus there was plenty of parking for our cars. Very relaxing trip! Don't hesitate to book!

Just Perfect!
We had a wonderful week at the Sea Star Cottage. The house is beautifully updated, bright and spotlessly clean. The front porch was our go-to spot for our morning coffee, to relax, chat with neighbors and just enjoy the neighborhood goings-on. The house is fully stocked with everything you need to cook or bbq. The fact that it is pet-friendly was a huge bonus - our dog had the time of her life hanging on the porch and being within 5 blocks of the beach. We will definitely be back. Book with confidence - you won't be disappointed!

Gorgeous vacation in OG
My destination wedding had been postponed this year due to the pandemic and Julie’s home at 74 Webb ave provided my family with a beautiful vacation as a consolation. We had a gorgeous week of family dinners on the patio after long days on the beach. We were so sad to leave. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely week
Like many other guests have said, this house is much bigger than it looks in the photos (and from the street). It's perfectly appointed--comfortable furniture and beds, great decor, plenty of bathrooms, lovely renovated kitchen that is easy to cook in, a good book collection, and a great outdoor area (where we ate dinner every night) and porch (where we had coffee every morning and played Scrabble in the evenings). The house is located on a quiet, pretty block that is an easy walk or bike ride to the beach (props for the beach cruisers provided!), and we loved that our dog was welcome to join us. Julie, the host, was super responsive and helpful. Our only two small quibbles: no outdoor shower and no clothesline, but all in all, it was a great stay and we would love to rent it again!

Great location, adorable home
We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and we really enjoyed our visit. The home is adorable and is very comfortable. It's clean, well-stocked and was located just a few short blocks to downtown Ocean Grove and the beach. Julie was easy to reach and very accommodating (we needed to extend our stay one day and asked for a later check-out). The newly updated kitchen was great and the beds were comfortable. The street is nice and quiet, and the homes were beautifully decorated for Christmas-it was really quaint and helped make the holidays special despite not being in our own home. We would enjoy staying here again-perhaps in the summer to enjoy sitting on the porch and the great beach town. Thank you Julie for your hospitality!

Another wonderful stay in Ocean Grove
This was our second stay at this property and once again it was perfect. The house provided plenty of room for visiting friends and family and the location is ideal for walking anywhere either in or out of the Grove. The house has all the amenities to make the stay easy and comfortable. Loved sitting on the large porch and watching the world go by. Beds are comfortable, room configuration excellent and the house great for just 2 or up to 8 people. Added bonus was beach chairs in the basement. Hope to return again.

Fabulous vacation! We stayed 3 weeks. Family/friends visited us for dinners/beach. The house looks small but was accommodating and the owners were very helpful in making it work! Love the location...quiet and walking distance to everything we needed! My favorite...sitting quietly on the porch in the morning with my new grandson & coffee while everyone else slept in! ❤️

Terrific place to spend some idle hours

I rented the house for the week of Columbus Day. I needed a home that could house my friends as they came to visit me for a week. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals and the porch was a great place to relax at night. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and newly renovated. Perfect house in a great location!!

Great House!
In Ocean Grove for a wedding. This was a great house for us. Very clean and has all the supplies you need. Upgraded & efficient kitchen, nice outdoor spaces and very comfortable bedrooms. Given the heat wave we were experiencing, the multiple a/c units did an excellent job keeping us cool. The living room was also nice with a big screen tv aptly covering the big space of the room. Very nice touch was the outdoor “sparkling” lights to guide you home at night. Overall, great experience - would highly recommend.

We loved our stay in the pink star house. The wagon, beach cart, beach toys, and chairs were so helpful to have with two kids. Would definitely recommend.

Summer Bliss
The Sea Star was the perfect retreat for our family of four. Just the right walking distance to the beach, the Great Auditorium and Asbury Park. The quaintest front porch for reading, playing games and sharing laughs. The brand new kitchen was well appointed with a fabulous ice-maker, beverage fridge (in addition to the full size fridge) and phenomenal blender. Every bedroom hummed with a fan or air-conditioning as the weather changed. The beach badges, chairs, cart and umbrella completed our daily excursions to the ocean. We treated ourselves to ice cream at Nagles and Days, listened to the music of Queen live in the Great Auditorium, laughed with John Cleese after a showing of Monty Python's Holy Grail at the Asbury Park Convention Hall, played mini-golf on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant and pinball on boardwalk in Asbury Park. Two weeks is the perfect amount of time to unwind and enjoy the Jersey Shore in Ocean Grove. The Sea Star is the perfect place to be called your home away from home (even doing laundry was pleasant)!

The town of Ocean Grove is so sweet with cute little shops, nice restaurants and of course ice cream parlors. The beach is beautiful also and only 3 blocks away. We enjoyed a wonderful week here.

Awesome house everything you need for a great family beach vacation!
There were 8 of us and we were all comfortable plenty of outside space as well to hang out in evenings. Great kitchen beer/wine fridge was a plus! Host was great to leave bikes and chairs/umbrellas for enjoying beach time. Great property wiuld definately stay again!
