Great location, great hospitality, good breakfast

Location, quick access to market, comfortable bed. Young lady from front desk with fantastic hospitality, always smiling. Thank you !

Superb

The breakfast was excellent, prioritizing local and Greek products and quality over quantity, but with plenty to choose from for various tastes. The location was convenient, with parking available. It was nice to have a pool available. The hotel was nice and new and attractive, with a pleasant lounge area in the lobby and very comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional--kinder and more helpful than anywhere else I can remember.

The pool was a bit small and had odd hours for use, although the hours were not set in stone. Towel racks are needed; there were only an inadequate number of hooks for towels. A second comfortable chair would have been useful in the room. The room cost seemed rather high, especially since breakfast was not automatically included.

everything was amazing. The staff were super friendly, the rooms was beatiful, newly renovated and the bed was very comfortable.

Comfortable place to stay but the staff could be friendlier

Very comfortable room and nice bathroom, clean, and quiet. Short walk to town centre and good breakfast place nearby.

The staff were not very welcoming or helpful with queries. The parking was a bit tricky as there weren't many spaces on the road outside, and none that were dedicated to the hotel, but there was a large unpaved carpark about 5 minutes walk up the road.

Great stay at The City!

We had an exceptional stay at the City Hotel & Suites! The hotel has been newly renovated and has been done very tastefully. The decor made us feel at home and comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely and we also had a good breakfast. I liked the tea provided in the rooms and at breakfast as an alternative to coffee too! The hotel is also well situated with a short walk to the Old Town and beach. Thank you!

Nice Rooms - Kind owner - Excellent Location!

Our stay in City Hotel and Suites was very good! Rooms seem brand new and the hotel is only 5 min walk from the old town! Owner Mr. Papadakis is extremely kind and helpful. His recommendations about where to go and to eat were very helpful! We would like to stay here again when we come to Rethymno!

A self in the shower room would be really helpful.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Beautiful design of the rooms. Good location close to the town centre.

Just remind before the breakfast is not included. The breakfast was excellent and good value for money, but just a quick reminder that is not included would be better.

Very nice city hotel. walking distance to old city. Friendly staff, cozy and comfortable room. Coffee/tea corner in room, Fresh breakfast, with some cheese, sausage etc. for a good start. Parking in front of hotel. Recommended.

Exactly what you need for a short stay in Rethymno

The large and comfortable rooms, the modern and tasteful makeup of the hotel and the fact that, although outside of the old city, it was close enough to reach the main attractions and the city vibe in less than 10 minutes and the walk served well my needs after the heavy Greek dinners (+wine+tsipouro) we enjoyed every evening at quite reasonable prices. Parking was readily available, so we forgot about the car.

For me nothing really, my needs were met in full. Other people may have missed a better view of the old city and harbour but I prefer to live them than view them

Everything was great for the value, city centre is close, there's a nice pool. Rooms were clean and comfortable, had the best night of sleep during the whole week here in Crete and staying at 6 different hotels.. The guy at the reception table was super cool and helpful, got us everything we needed!

Comfortable family run hotel near Old Town

The owner, son and Sarah were very thoughtful and helpful with information on the area,restaurants, beaches etc. Easy 6 minutes walk to old town, shops and restaurants. I felt covid safe in and outside the hotel. Breakfast was simple but plenty of it and good. Bed was very comfortable.

The pool and sunbeds were never in the sun. We stayed in early September, it may be different in May, June, July and August.

Room was very comfortable and clean, with a very new and modern shower. Location is not exactly in the city center, but very close by

Light, clean, modern, minimal

It seems there was no building insulation or it was poor, because during the dawn time the room was very hot from the sun. Fortunately, the air conditioning did a good job, however it took some time to chill the room.
