House was perfect for our group. Well stocked. Lake is beautiful

House was great for our group of four families. The big bedroom was good for the kids. We rented a pontoon from the bait store just down the road, and it worked out great.

We rented the Eagle View house for our wedding party as we got married this past weekend. We really wanted a place where we could all be together for an extended weekend and this was the perfect place. We had plenty of room both upstairs and downstairs to get ready before the wedding and it was a great place to come home to. Beautiful view of the lake and dock access, we rented a few boats for the day after and had a great few days here. Would love to come back again in the future. Great place for big groups!

Thanks Michael for a great stay on a great lake in an area of Wisconsin we love! Kayaking was perfect as well as the lake gave up enough crappies to have a big fish fry at the wnd of the week!!Thanks for everything!!

My family really enjoyed the accommodations and access to the lake, however, we thought the house would have been cleaned more thoroughly than how it was when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

My extended family stayed at Eagle View Retreat over the July 4 week. My group consisted of 10 adults and 7 kids, aged 8-15. The bunk room worked out GREAT for the kids - they loved having their own space! I loved that some of the bedrooms have sinks - made things easy with a large group! The kitchen was well set up and the fridge in the garage was a bonus for supplies. We used the grill - a huge bonus to cook outdoors. We had some hot temps the first few days so the cabin got a little warm, but the helpful tips in the binder were helpful. But it's WI in July. Warm temps are to be expected and it was not a big deal at all!
The docks worked out wonderfully for our boat and rented pontoon (Dave's Outboard is great!). The swimming area was used a lot by the kiddos too. We caught a couple of fish off the dock. The lake is great for fishing (my dad found an area where they had great luck!), the kids had a blast tubing around, and we all enjoyed a nice lake cruise. Not too much traffic on the lake, which was nice, but it was still lively.
We checked out the Rockford House Tavern a couple times to grab a cocktail and pizza. Nice that it's only a short drive down the road, or a shorter cruise by boat! The cabin is a short drive to several towns, and my crew took in the Shell Lake street dance. We also ventured to Trego to tube the river at Jack's Canoe Rental. Highly recommend it - the set up is top notch, including nice tubes for floating!
Would definitely recommend!

This was a great place for my family to stay. 5 couples and 5 kids (infant to 12) fit comfortably. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've stayed in after several years of VRBO-hopping around MN and WI. Living space is large and open to the kitchen. The kids enjoyed fishing off the docks and we all got walks in around the neighborhood and at the Hunt Hill Audubon Society Nature Preserve (lovely - though very buggy at dusk). Bring your own watercraft as none is provided. The only downsides were the cleanliness (not the most clean rental we've visited) and the lack of AC, but closing the curtains and windows at the appropriate times of day and reopening them at night worked well enough to sleep comfortably at night.

We had a short family fishing trip. Caught lots of fish, not too many keepers but we did come home with enough for us to have a fish fry!
The lake house was very hard to keep cool! Even with all the recommendations they had in the handbook for keeping it cool. The steps down from the lake house to the lake…. If you need a daily work out, you’ll get it there!! We enjoyed our time there and the lake!

The place was clean. Plenty of room to park boat trailers. Great fish cleaning set-up.

Mike, the owner was amazing with fast communication of anything we needed, both prior to checking in, during our 5 day stay and even afterwards! Great location & wonderful view of Long Lake. We had nights by the lake for campfires, fires in the livingroom fireplace, and wonderful meals enjoyed at the large dining room table.
The 5 of us friends enjoyed Cranberryfest in Stone lake and the restaurants on Long lake.
Again, Mike is easy to work with and would recommend his beautiful house for family memories or gf time like ours!

Our family stays at a family cabin every summer. This is, by far, the worst we've ever stayed in. The first thing we noticed was the garage and the refrigerator in the garage were filthy. (Old blood in the bottom of the refrigerator/cobwebs and dead bugs throughout the garage). Second, at supper that night (with a group of 12) there were only 10 full sized plates for a house that is supposed to sleep 20 people. I had to clean out the ball of hair plugging the shower drain so my seven year old could shower. We needed to keep the windows open because the house has no AC- which we quickly closed due to the overpowering sewer gas smell coming from the overflowing septic holding tank. We reported this to the property manager on Monday and it didn't get fixed until Wednesday. Apparently the septic overflow alarm was unplugged and the discharge pump was no longer working. Equally disturbing was the bat that appeared at dusk flying around the living room (which we caught with a fishing net and released outside). We then continued to hear other bats in the attic throughout the stay. Multiple people have complained about the steps to the dock. They are so dangerous- I don't know how this place has ever passed inspection. Both my 70 y.o. father-in-law and my 7 y.o. daughter stumbled on them and fell. Don't lean on the deck railing- it is not safe or sturdy to lean against. Overall, this place needs major updates and major repairs. There are other little things: like the sink in the upstairs bathroom isn't fixed to the countertop (moves around). The ceiling fan in the upstairs queen bedroom is completely out of balance and unusable (makes a clicking sound with every rotation) (that was fun to sleep in with no fan and no AC). The lake is beautiful but the house and property is not what I would recommend to anyone.

Great place to stay. Plenty of room, liked the extra fridge in the garage and that we could use it. Had some nice campfires overlooking the water. Also nice you can swim right there. We also liked boating to the different eating places they were all great.

My family loved the open concept of the home!

The house was perfect for our group. We enjoyed the lake and property immensely! The host was responsive when needed. The “climb” from the lake to the house was a bit much for grandpa and Auntie but they made it! We loved it!

The lake house was a perfect location for our large family gathering from 4 states. Large kitchen and eating area for family meals and lots of sleeping space for ages 5 years to 91 year olds. We had amazing weather on a wonderful lake both good for fishing (even with a fish fry Friday!) and recreational activities. The only part of the property that I would say was hard was the last lag of the stairs near the lake were a bit tricky with some knee problem and great grandma due to being uneven. Would recommend this place though for we hope to return in the future!

We had a fabulous time! Many memories made. Steps to the docks was a challenge and no ac made for some hot nights but other than that all was good. Great accommodations all around. The views, private docks/swim area. Space for our family and loved having a table for all of us to sit at. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such a beautiful place.

Everything was as promised. The house is beautiful, kitchen very well stocked with lots of glasses and plates, the cookware is super! The beds are very comfortable with luxury sheets. There is an upper deck over the fish cleaning garage that my husband found wonderful with a sink and garbage disposal and refrigerator. We used this deck frequently to watch the lake and make fires.

We needed a place for us to go with our kids and grandkids. This was perfect and very clean! We used the bonus room with our size group and it was great. We loved that the firepit overlook the lake, yet was just one tier down from the house. That helped to keep our little ones asleep while we talked and laughed around the fire.
The lake was sandy as you entered and had just enough room for our three year olds to be able to walk and play. At the end of the pier the water was deep enough for our teen grandkids to jump and dive into the water. We also caught quite a few fish off the pier! This lake provided the best fishing we had in years and ended with a fish fry.
It was great that the upstairs bedrooms had fans, sinks and mirrors. And there was plenty of chairs and outdoor games for us to use.

Eagle View
Our family enjoyed our stay at Eagle View. The fishing was very good, the lake was very nice. It’s nice to be right on the lake. The house was beautiful and very roomy for our large group. Plenty of space and plenty of storage. The walk to and from the lake can be challenging because of the elevation. Plan accordingly and bring everything you need down to the dock in one trip and you’ll be fine. Golfing was close and a nice course. Overall we had a great time visiting Eagle View and yes we did see Eagles almost every day.

Great house for a winter multi-family get-together
This property worked well for four families + kids, with almost all kids staying in the extra room. Beautiful view of the lake. Driveway is steep but was well plowed before our arrival and was not a problem for 4WD vehicles.

family fun
Perfect setting for a large family, especially with the fifth bedroom for the children. Not much traffic at this end of the lake, making for ease in kayaking and lucrative fishing. Plenty of other activities within 30 minutes (golf, go-carts, zoo, casinos, etc) if the lake doesn't hold your interest.
There are ceiling and floor fans in every room, essential for a hot week without central AC.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The owner was very quick to respond back to any issues/questions that we had. We definitely hope to return to this house!

Extended Family Get Away
If you are looking for a peaceful place on the water, look no further. The setting is amazing! We had 11 ( five adults, five teenagers and on 11 year-old) in our group and there was plenty of room for all of us. Plenty to do on and off the water. Mike was super accommodating and very responsive with questions and what-not.
