Beautiful location on the shore of Lake Superior! Great space for a family adventure. Tons of room. Exceptionally clean! Definitely would stay ahain

Fantastic views of the lake. I'm sure sunrises are amazing, but you have to get up pretty early to see it😂 this property is very well stocked with everything you may need for your stay. The baby gates on the stairs were very much appreciated as we had small kids with us. The layout of the house was a little funky, but once we got used to it, it was fine. There was plenty of room for everyone to have the space they needed. We had a great vacation! Managers were very quick to get back to us with any questions or concerns we had. It was quite buggy outside, but could have just been a hatch this time of year bring near the water. We had a great time and are glad we chose this property for our family vacation!

Our stay here was fantastic, just missed mud season which made it even better. Great outdoor lot as well here, roomy backyard for our K9's and frisbee, pretty private, fire at the pit, great lakefront to get down to via a static rope, lots of shoreline got explored! More than enough room inside the place, we only ended up using half of it! Well stocked with dishes, seasonings, towels, blankets, plenty of kitchen utensils (pots/pans/everything) sometimes you don't get this at vrbo's, paper towels, kleenex, grill was full of LP. Real comfortable inside, roomy. Has a nice porch out back, a nice upper deck, nice screened in porch, all with seating.
To top it off the owners are great, super responsive, they take care of their place and it shows. We had a great time and will more than likely be back. Thanks for having us Luke!

We loved it. The great room and kitchen were amazing. Beautiful spot

The prosperity is very spacious and has separate spaces for multiple families, beautiful views of the lake and an awesome well stocked kitchen!
We enjoyed grilling and a bon fire overlooking the lake. We loved the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, and are looking forward to be back next year!

This was a great property. Lots of room to move around. The neighborhood was very quiet - we only saw one car go past the house in 4 days. The crows nest was a wonderful spot to sit and watch Lake Superior. We could hear the lake from our windows every night. A few good hiking spots nearby like Meyers Beach. I would definitely book again.

This “cabin” by the lake is great for small or large groups. The location is on the water (listen to the waves) with a spectacular sunrise orientation. It is remote, but we loved it as it was ideally located for the activities we enjoy - bike riding (check out trails in Duluth and north shore), kayaking (Cornucopia and Washburn), hiking, and relaxing with the sound of the waves. The cabin is well appointed and has the most spectacular kitchen that is well stocked with cookware and great knives that actually do the job when slicing and dicing. (We stay in a lot of rentals, and this usually is not the case.)
Cornucopia, Apostle Islands, and Bayfield are all excellent. Plus, we found a great pup sitter in the general area via Rover.com for our Mylo when we were out with activities he couldn’t join in on. Also, if you are there in the summer, Bayfield has an amazing collection of produce/fruit stands. Iron River has an exceptional meat market (Jim’s). And, be sure to enjoy a Friday fish fry if you are in the area. We were there almost two weeks.
Enjoy!

This was the perfect site for a large family get together. It is clean and has lots of space for a large family or group and has beautiful views of Lake Superior.

We (3 generations and dogs) had a lovely stay here- the area is so pretty and quiet, and property location is great, and the house is wonderful! Lots and lots of space and amazing kitchen and living area.
Highly recommend!

Easy check in, beautiful location and home. Peaceful. Just what we needed.

Luke and Miranda's property has an amazing view. We had 4 families staying here and there was enough space to fit all of us extremely comfortably. Waking up to the waves of Lake Superior crash against the cliffs and watching the ice flows go in and out with the tide is hypnotizing and one of the best ways to forget about the cares of daily life. The space was clean and well taken care of. The hosts were extremely responsive to all of our inquiries and were a pleasure to work with.

This was the perfect size for our large group. Very cozy! The teens/young adults enjoyed having one side of the house to themselves. Beautiful views, even in winter! Our favorite part was the location right on the lake. We were able to park in the heated garage, too. Definite bonus!

Had a great thanksgiving here - easy kitchen to cook in

Fantastic house for our group. 10 people in the house and we never felt cramped. Thanks Luke for your quick responses. You really made us feel like we were home.

We were nine people and a few dogs, we stayed in Herbster for five days. Could not have been happier with the place! Plenty of room, well-equipped, very comfortable. Just a 40 minute, beautiful drive from Bayfield, where we visited twice ... though we were happy to spend most of our time just hanging out in the big yard playing games and watching the lake. We will definitely be back!
4.8
The home is large with a huge table in the family room/dinning are so all 11 of us were able to eat together with elbow room, as well as play board games, and gather. Great access to kitchen, with many supplies provided. House layout is unique, a person can get lost (really fun for the kids). Although a bit unconventional as a private residence, it's perfect as a recreational property, especially for large groups! Location on Superior is really special, listening to the waves crash on the rocks. All of us in the group would love to return.

Great location. Great house.

We had a great get away with my family! Although the weather was not the greatest the house was perfect for lots of food, games and laughter. The house is very large at first we all got lost. Great place for kids playing hide and seek. The kitchen and game room were very well stocked. The owner got back to us in a timely manner with any questions we had. But everything we needed was right at the house. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us.

Large home with fabulous Lake Superior views. Luke was amazing to work with.

This wonderful property is a quiet retreat with an outstanding view East on Lake Superior. The house is big and up to date and was very clean. The hosts went out of their way to make this feel like a FourSeasons / Ritz-Carlton experience in Herbster WI.

Great location to explore northern Wisconsin, Lake Superior south shore, and Apostle Islands. Something for everyone in our group - hiking, kayaking, beach time, exploring.

Rented home July 16-23. Upon arrival, we found the home was not clean; rugs, chair coverings were dirty and stained. There was dust and dirt under beds and around furniture. We cleaned the areas that were dirty. A bag of dog poop was lying next to the food grills in the garage. The garage had empty cardboard boxes and a lot of junk lying around. The outdoor grills were dirty. We cleaned the gas grill Saturday early evening to be able to use it.
The house was in need of many repairs. Walls need patching, painting; the outdoor screened door on porch was ripped, the molding around the shower door and the glass panel in the basement bathroom was falling off, light bulbs in the kitchen ceiling needed to be replaced, the screen door on the sliding doors in the lower level fell off. The box spring on the bed in the room with the sliding barn door was broken, a leg on the bench at the kitchen table was wobbly. The yard had not been mowed.
I contacted the owner the day we arrived and informed him of the condition of the house and yard. He sent over a repair man, someone to mow the yard and a cleaning lady to clean the pellet grill. The repair man fixed the leg on the bench, replaced the light bulbs in the kitchen ceiling, reapplied the molding to the shower door glass and attempted to fix the broken bed but it was not able to be repaired. The repair man was unable to replace the screen on the screen door porch. We were told the local hardware store did not have replacement screen.
The refrigerator in the kitchen areas had been defrosted and cleaned and we were not able to use it when we arrived as it had been turned off. The owner indicated we could access the private area in the lower level as there is another refrigerator in that area. The private area was not locked as were told it would be. When we entered the private area that was dead mouse on the floor and a cluttered dirty room.
The yard has an overgrowth of bushes and trees blocking the view of the lake. We noticed other houses on Lake Superior did not have the overgrowth that this property did.
On day 4 of our visit, biting black flies swarmed the house and yard. We asked a neighbor about this, and she stated the flies had just hatched and would be everywhere. No one has control over the biting black flies.

Great place for a family of 12
The location was beautiful and there was a lot of space to spread out in the house. It was a bit of a maze to figure out the floor plan, as most of the rooms and all of the bathrooms have two entrances. Some of the bedrooms are open spaces, so there isn't a lot of privacy, so that's something to be aware of.
There is a lot to do in the area, from parks and beaches to hiking and visiting nearby communities.
We had an issue with the property and the owners were super quick and responsive and made it right immediately. Would recommend.

Wonderful, secluded, property with plenty of room for a family of 7 adults and 4 children. Great gather rooms and rooms for privacy.

Amazing Place!
This house was very clean, spacious, and welcoming. We loved the location of the house. The view of Lake Superior was stunning at all times, but especially at sunrise and sunset.
Our hosts were very accommodating and available whenever we had questions. Thank you for the time we spent in your house. We would highly recommend this beautiful peaceful house. We will back again!

Stay in Herbster
We had a great stay at the beautiful home in Herbster. I rented it to use for my job so that my staff team could have a nice retreat and we could do some planning. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful! We were very pleased with the home and our stay over all; the only thing we ran into was when we arrived one of the bathrooms seemed as though it had not been cleaned super well. There was waste in the toilet which made us question the cleanliness of that bathroom. A part from that, the house was very clean!
I would definitely recommend staying here and we would definitely love to come back!
4.8
We stayed only in the main cabin as it was just me, my husband, and our 3 little wiener dogs. We spent a good portion of the time sitting in the screened porch stargazing. The rest of the house is really nice. Lots of comfy seating. but also plenty of room to gather together. The kitchen was amazing - my chef/hubby loved the stove and made us some great ribeyes on the indoor grill.
Location: This place is pretty remote and you probably won't want to drive back and forth to Bayfield all the time. (one trip per day was my limit!) Be prepared to chill and enjoy the scenery. The lovely little town of Cornucopia is not too far but everything closes around 5 or 6. There is a beach less than a mile from the house and one in Cornucopia - both were absolutely lovely and fairly empty when we were there. Don't count on being able to reach the water directly from the property. It's a fairly steep cliff with a decent hedge between the property and the drop-off.
Pets: The hosts are so accommodating with pets. One of my dogs is blind and I was happy to see a safety gate at the top of the stairs in the main cabin. They did get a little freaked out by the constant sounds of the waves
Amenities: Games, books, television - no worries about wasting a rainy day here. Plenty to keep people occupied! Also, no matter what you forget, they probably have it. Lots of towels and blankets, tea kettle, coffee maker, washer, dryer, fireplace, firepit, plenty of firewood. I don't believe the house has air conditioning but you constantly get the breeze off the lake and there were plenty of fans when it got a little warm.
My only complaint is that I never had the opportunity to hang out on the patio - because we always chose the upper level screened in porch!
Bedrooms: Main cabin has a king sized master bedroom with a bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is the main area with a second bedroom which has 2 queen beds and sloped.
ceilings. The beds are solid with really nice Serta pillows (my fave). Extra bedding was in the closet.
The Grounds: The yard is spacious and well-kept but it looks bigger in the picture than it actually is. I can definitely imagine some group games if we had a bigger crowd.
Pro Tip: If you have a small group. don't dismiss this house! Our hosts were very gracious in offering us the main house at a reduced rate. Luke was very easy to deal with and very responsive.
Hoping to see it during the winter!

The house is very clean and comfortable and well stocked. The beds are super comfy - mattresses fresh. Plenty of games, great books and a well stocked kitchen with an amazing stove. The setting feels very remote and isolated with no access to the shore which is why we gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Luke is a great host and helped us trouble shoot the fireplace and wifi and made sure our family had a nice trip. We appreciated it very much.

Great property! Beautiful location!
We rented this house with friends and we had more than enough space to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked and Viking range was great to cook on. Beautiful area and great views out the windows. The chaise was the best seat in the house.

Beautiful setting
This is a pretty house on a gorgeous property. The kitchen/dining area generously accommodated our 9 guest plus two visitors who joined us for a short while. There was ample room for everyone to watch the sunrise. The bed linens are soft and inviting. The house needed a few repairs which the owner said he will fix. Overall good stay.
