Wonderful!

Perfect house for our Santa Fe getaway. The house itself was charming, very clean, extremely well appointed (love all the art) and what you want in a Santa Fe experience. We enjoyed the spa and movies at night and appreciated the quiet neighborhood. Fran is an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again when we are back in town.

Our recent stay was an absolute joy from start to finish. Tucked away in the quiet corner very near the heart of Santa Fe, this house was a joy.
We were immediately taken with the unique character of the adobe-style home. The architecture beautifully reflected the traditional Southwestern aesthetic, while modern amenities seamlessly complemented the historic ambiance inside. The living spaces were tastefully decorated with artwork and furnishings that enhanced the overall atmosphere of warmth and authenticity.
The layout of the home, ideal for a couple or small group, provided ample space to relax and unwind. The well-appointed kitchen was a joy to cook in, equipped with everything we needed. The cozy living room was perfect for lounging after a day of exploring Santa Fe's rich cultural offerings.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality extended by our host. From the moment we booked, they were attentive to our needs and provided invaluable recommendations for local attractions, dining, and activities. Their genuine enthusiasm for sharing Santa Fe's best with us enhanced our experience and made us feel like welcomed guests in their home.
I'll be back!

We had an amazing time. It is a beautiful property. The hot tub was a really nice extra as well as the Kiva fireplace. The kitchen was well appointed. We stayed a week in Fran's home on Garcia St and after a few days it felt like we'd moved to Santa Fe. It's such a pretty and quiet neighborhood, yet with easy walking access to Canyon Road, or a longer but pleasant walk to the Plaza area. Highly recommend.

The adobe home on Garcia in the historic eastside of Santa Fe exceeded our expectations. Tucked away among other homes off Garcia Road, the location was private and very quiet. We were able to walk to Canyon Road through a neighborhood gate, arriving at Alameda and Canyon in under 10 minutes. The home is a large two bedroom that could easily accommodate 4 to 6 adults with two bathrooms, ample kitchen, and convenient utility closet for washer/dryer. The kiva fireplace and large supply of firewood (piñon and oak) made for a wonderfully cozy fire every night. There is also a large backyard covered patio with table and barbeque grill. The hot tub off the primary suite bathroom was very clean, with high power jets and consistent temperature. The artwork in the home is gallery-quality and representative of the Santa Fe and northern New Mexico styles and cultures. The VRBO owner, Frances, was extremely helpful and responsive in our communications. She made the extra effort to suggest activities and restaurants as well as clearly delineate her expectations for guests. There were detailed booklets describing checkin and checkout procedures, guidelines, and highlights of things to do in the region. We plan to stay here again in the future.

We booked with Fran for a friend’s birthday celebration, and our two West Highland White Terriers were welcomed along with all their people. Before we even arrived Fran shared her online guest book which is full of very helpful recommendations from dining to shopping to adventures.
The check-in process was seamless, and Fran was proactive in communicating, but left us to enjoy her place and all Santa Fe has to offer. The neighborhood is tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of Canyon Road.
We truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you.

We enjoyed the house overall . It had great patios for dining al fresco and plenty of space. The plaza, many shops and restaurants are walkable. The hot tub was clean and an added perk.

This home was spacious for a two bedroom and exuded an authentic southwest vibe. It was tastefully decorated with a very nice kitchen and included all of the necessary essentials. Even included a guitar! Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was great for relaxation after a long day of exploring. Nice covered patio was great for outdoor breakfasts. Walking distance to the galleries on Canyon. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming adobe in a quiet neighborhood. Walking to Canyon Road and downtown is a huge plus. Always like a keyless entry. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, nice Apple TV was great. After walking all day it was wonderful to return to the new hot tub. Thank you, Frances , for sharing your beautiful home.

We had a very relaxing stay and we were very happy with the recommendations for food provided by Fran.
After a long day of getting our steps in... it was nice to relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine. I would highly recommend.

This may be a 1937 adobe on an historic street, but it's been renovated so extensively that it felt like spending a week in a new home. The master bedroom is huge, with a large walk-in closet, and the generous master bath features a shower with lots of hot water and terrific water pressure. Better yet, a private door from the master bath leads to a small courtyard with a hot tub. We particularly enjoyed taking our meals in the comfortable, separate " morning room" off the kitchen.
The location is excellent, about a 5-minute drive to Museum Hill and a 10-minute stroll to Canyon Road, but at a full mile, it's more of a walk/hike into town than a stroll. If you're going in for dinner, you'll probably want to take your car. All in all, we had a great week in "Gorgeous on Garcia" and appreciated all of the helpful recommendations provided by Fran, the owner. If you're looking for a comfortable, modern home in a great location that embodies all of the unique charm of Santa Fe, you've found it here.

We really loved the communication with the property owner, but some of the required tasks seemed excessive and there was mold on the inside of the shower curtain. Everything else was great!

My husband, son, and I all thoroughly enjoyed staying in this well-appointed rental. We had everything we needed - the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans, the beds and linens are very comfortable, and the hot tub is a wonderful bonus! Fran's artwork is the icing on the cake. After exploring all of the galleries on Canyon Rd (a short walk from the home), you feel like you can come home and equally appreciate her artwork. Fran left all the instructions and recommendations we needed. Santa Fe is our favorite getaway and now we have a favorite place to stay while there!

My wife and I stayed at the this awesome house to celebrate her birthday and valentine’s day! We had an incredible time and made many wonderful memories.
The home has an awesome location, it is situated within a mile of many of the attractions within Santa Fe including Canyon Road, one of our favorite. It is furnished with all the essentials including a hot tub and an indoor fireplace. While we were visiting it snowed, the snow gave us a beautiful experience and the host provided a service that cleared the sidewalks and driveway. The host, “Fran,” was exceptionally helpful. She provided suggestions for local entertainment, dining, and site seeing. Fran was very responsive to any questions that we asked.
We were so impressed that we have already recommended the house to our friends.

We loved staying at Fran’s place and exploring Santa Fe. She had a great guidebook (including a map of a short cut to town) with suggestions for stores, museums and restaurants. Downtown Subscription (coffee shop) was a quick walk away. Loved the Teahouse on Canyon and wish we had more time at Doubletake vintage clothing store.

This lovely home was one of our best VRBO rentals. It was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, traditional kiva fireplace (with wood) and a hot tub. Location is central, with easy access to the historic plaza and elsewhere in a very quiet and upscale neighborhood. Communication with owner was excellent. Perfect set up for 2 sets of friends or a family needing 2 private bedrooms and baths. Highly recommend.

If this property is on your list of places to stay in Santa Fe don't miss out on the opportunity. It is in an amazing location but set off the main roads for peace and tranquility. It is apparent that the property is well looked after and so much thought has gone into it, the artwork, how well it is stocked, etc. Fran has amazing recommendations and is the most thoughtful and communicative host I've had the pleasure of staying with. It was the perfect place for a girl's weekend and we can't wait for our next trip to Santa Fe!

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the "Historic Eastside" property. Though the Santa Fe weather didn't always cooperate for us (very strange weather for this time of year) - the property was a convenient and a walk-able distance to Canyon Road, with a short drive to the plaza and the many close by restaurants and shops. The adobe style home is quiet, despite being close to the plaza and town. We enjoyed sitting in the rear courtyard a couple evenings after day trips outside of Santa Fe. All amenities worked perfectly: TV, internet, etc.. Check-in/access to the property was easy and the owner provided us with a good bit of information on Santa Fe and property specifics prior-to and during our stay. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay - and hopefully we'll get a chance to stay there again.

Lovely outdoor patio and hot tub. Couldn't have been nicer.

Stayed for 2 weeks. One for working from home and one for vacay. I was so appreciative of the extra monitor on the desk to WFH. This place has everything you could ask for and the location is stellar. Comfy beds, tons of kitchen gear, even a coffee grinder & a Chemex coffee maker! We were delighted! Fran is a great host.

This house has everything you would want for a Santa Fe getaway. We drove out for a long weekend, and remote work trip, so we spent a lot of time in the home during the days, and spent the late afternoons and evenings strolling the gorgeous neighborhood. It's such a great location, with shortcuts (thanks Fran!) that get you anywhere you want to go. We walked an easy walk to the plaza one night (Upper Crust Pizza, yum!), and enjoyed a brilliant sunset on the way back home. We walked up and down Canyon Road, having lunch at the Teahouse and marveling at all the flora and fauna. Our kids loved everything about it, especially coming back to the private hot tub! The kitchen was fully stocked, which made cooking fun and easy. Plenty of space for our family of four, comfortable furniture and a nice large TV connected with all of our streaming shows. The back patio and front porch provide extra dining/living spaces, with singing birds and butterflies adding to the magic. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which made our week even better. LOVED this place. We shall return! Thank you Fran for all your help and great recommendations and communication. 5 STARS all around!

Our stay was great. The house was perfect for a family of 4, and our dog enjoyed the fenced in backyard. We loved the location near Canyon-which is a short walk away-and the other beautiful east side homes. For all the runners out there: our morning runs from the house were fantastic. You can reach the Atalaya Trail up by St John’s College fairly quickly, and that was a beautiful place to run.

This charming home is located within walking distance to Canyon Road and the Plaza. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Great for dog walking! Enjoy Santa Fe and come back to relax in comfort. The beds and linens are great, kitchen fully equipped and patio is private and lovely. We had a great time and would enthusiastically recommend this property.

G on G...knocks it out of the park
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gorgeous on Garcia. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet, and within walking distance to Canyon Street with galleries and cafes. It is a five minute easy drive to old town and rail yard shops and restaurants and of course Whole Foods. We loved the home’s charming traditional adobe style—its thick rounded walls, peaceful views from every window, and captivating local art. Everything from the appliances to fixtures to furniture are solid quality and comfortable. The kitchen is very well outfitted. Wifi/television were the most user-friendly I have experienced. It was peaceful to open the windows and experience the cool breezes of the southwest and birds chirping—no background or road noise to disturb that. I wish I were able to spend a couple more nights, barbecue, and enjoy a meal on the patio surrounded by the lovely yet drought tolerant garden. You cannot go wrong with Fran's place. It's a sure home run if you get the chance to book it, do not hesitate. We will do our very best to come back here and stay again. Thank You!

Excellent place to stay in Santa Fe!
If you are looking for peace and quiet near everything in Santa Fe this house is the perfect choice.
Fran the host / owner has a wonderful place here. The location is near everything and is even walkable if you are so inclined. The house itself is beautiful. There are 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The decor is southwest but also subtle with neutral colors. The beds and bedding are high quality as well as the bath towels. An added bonus is the jacuzzi spa outside behind the master bath. So nice to come home after a long day sightseeing and have a soak with your favorite beverage. The stars are amazing! Do not hesitate to book a stay here. You will not regret it!

Gorgeous on Garcia Lives Up to Its Name!
First, I want to share about how responsive our host, Fran, was. She very quickly answered our questions during the booking process, which put us at ease as we made our vacation plans for our first big trip since the pandemic restrictions have lessened with the availability of the vaccine.
When we arrived, her directions and instructions were perfect. In fact, I have not seen anything on VRBO that is more well put together to ensure we know how to safely and fully use the home. Totally let us know her expectations and further made us comfortable.
And, that home… Just BEAUTIFUL. The back covered patio is perfect for morning coffee. The bed was so comfortable and relaxing. The coffee maker set up was perfect for that fresh ground cup in the morning. THE HOT TUB! Would compete with anything Ten Thousand Waves offers. Plenty of firewood for the kiva. Really nice furniture and a huge TV. All of the amenities to feel perfectly comfortable during our stay. We cooked. We cleaned up. Did some laundry. Had whatever we needed. And, when we had questions Fran was wonderfully responsive. We also bought some supplies which she offered to reimburse us for (totally unnecessary though…). Just the consummate host.
She also provided a fantastic overview of things to do in Santa Fe. We have been coming to The City Different for several years, and so many of our favorites were on her list. A fantastic spot-on resource from a local as you plan your trip. And, since we have been traveling to Santa Fe over the years, we have been in search of our perfect place in town. And, Gorgeous on Garcia is it!
Five stars across the board. You do not want to pass on this place…

Fantastic Location, beautiful place with upscale amenities
This one was on the best VRBOs that we have stayed in. The amenities were luxurious and comfortable and the location was incredible. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Fe and who wants to be close to Canyon Road and the center of town and also wants a private location. We will hopefully be visiting this property again.

Cozy Close Casity
We really enjoyed our stay in Sante Fe. This is the first time we got a casita in town. It was really easy to get in and out without having to fuss with a key. It had all the amenities we needed. We had trouble finding the hot tub at first, but it's a secluded spot once you realize it's just off the master bathroom. The fireplace was awesome and Fran provided wood and instructions to make a fire. We did struggle a bit with the nest thermostat. I'm sure a few instructions on how to work it or adjust it to your schedule would be useful. If I had questions I just wrote Fran on this app and she answered very quickly. It snowed two days while we were there and the sidewalks were quickly salted. Thanks for hosting our stay! We enjoyed our trip.
