This is an amazing place to stay. The unit is perfectly set up and very homey and super clean throughout. Great sitting areas, the gardens reflect the careful attention of the owners, who are some of the most gracious and helpful people we have had the pleasure to come to know. One cannot go wrong here!

The three of us (3 adults) had a great stay at The Hacienda. The apartment was cozy and had plenty of space. The grounds were absolutely amazing. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their gardens. And we can't say enough about Ciella and Quincy and how good they were to us. They offered to meet us in town and take us up to their place when we arrived in Boquete. They also helped with arranging transportation for us the first day we were there. We did end up renting a car which we would recommend because it is a bit of a drive from town to The Hacienda, but all worth it because there are lovely views from their property. Highly recommend The Hacienda. Thank you Ciella and Quincy!

The Hacienda was difficult to find at first and is a steep windy road up the Mountain. However once you find it it is easy to get back. The Hacienda was lovely and well equipped. It has beautiful grounds and pathways. Definitely would go back if ever in Boquete.

The hacienda was even better than expected. It is huge (2 bed 2 bath) with all the comforts and conveniences. The location is beautifully cared for and lush and tropical, with several (like 4!) places to just relax, hang out, listen to the birds and enjoy the sun or shade. It truly is a magical place, and Ciella and Quincy are charming, warm and friendly. Don't miss the Hacienda!

The road up and down to town was daunting the first few trips, but the fresh air, lush gardens, and spectacular views made it worthwhile. The apartment was very comfortable for 2 couples, though I was a single with a couple. There IS a sink coming for the kitchenette, which will make a big improvement. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Great sleep with the rain and rushing creek!

Hacienda in Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda in Boquete. The grounds and views of the area were spectacular. The beds were comfortable and our hosts, Nancy and Mike, we’re lovely. They shared their impressions of the area with us and helped us feel right at home. The only downside during our stay was we had no real kitchen with a sink. We would have liked to cook more since we were there for a week. As I understand it, the owners are planning to upgrade the kitchen. I highly recommend the Hacienda!

Could have easily stayed longer
What a beautiful place. Well worth it to be just out of Boquete. The sunsets and star-filled skies were breathtaking. The accommodations were fantastic, comfortable, clean and more than amply stocked with so many little extras to make you feel at home. The owners are fantastic. I'd most certainly stay again.

Fabulous Stay!
We all enjoyed this little haven away from the bustle of town. Ciella was the perfect hostess - she fixed lovely breakfasts and gave us great suggestions as to things to do! Would highly recommend this great place to stay in Boquete! Just remember to pack some warm clothes for the clime in January! We were a little chilly!

A slice of heaven!!!
A few years ago I came across this gorgeous property while searching VRBO. I saved it on my “favorites” and hoped that some day I’d stay in this home. Well this year that wish became a reality. My husband, our two children ages 9 & 12, and my sister had the privilege of staying at the Hacienda. Ciella has great attention to detail and is a wonderful host. She picked us up from the bus station in Boquete and gave us great references for local taxi drivers. Ariel is more than a driver, he is full of stories and history about Boquete. Ciella provided a delicious and healthy breakfast that satisfied even the pickiest eaters among us. The garden area is a wonderful retreat in itself. Our children loved spending time exploring and playing in the meandering trails. It rained during our stay in Boquete, but this was not a problem. The Hacienda is the type of house that you welcome the opportunity to just stay in, relax, and be grateful for the peace and beauty of this magical place. Truly a slice of heaven and we are so thankful that Ciella shared the Hacienda with our family. Our children even said it’s one of the best homes we’ve stayed in and gave it their highest rating.

Best place in Boquete
A friend and I stayed for 3 days at the Hacienda and really loved it. Quincy and Ciella provided us with delicious breakfast and activities suggestions for the day. Walking through the property is a little adventure on its own and you can find new hidden treasures every time. We also enjoyed very much to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening and watch the breeding hummingbird. Boquete is a beautiful place and the Hacienda is the perfect base camp to explore it.

Loved the property, owners, and breakfast was delicious
John and I stayed with Ciella and
Quincy at their wonderful Hacienda. Quincy was so helpful with dinner ideas, we just had dinner after Ciella's very filling breakfast! He also helped us find the best bird guide, Cesar at Finca Lireda, and other great excursions! And Ciella shared so much of their love for Boquette, how they juggle family back home and running a business! We are seriously considering a longer visit to this lovely town!
Thank you both !!

PERFECT FOR US - THANK YOU QUINCY & CEILLA!!
Four of us stayed at La Hacienda for five nights during the Annual Jazz & Blues Festival. Ceilla & Quincy were very welcoming and provided perfect directions and area information. The breakfast each morning was superb – lots of fruit, delicious egg dishes, yogurt with muffins and wonderful jams and terrific French press coffee. The Villa with all the outdoor living areas is charming and exactly as shown in photos. The road up is an adventure but worth it to a beautiful setting. The perfect place to wind up our long days with some great wine. Highly recommend and we plan to be back.

4 senior citizens.
Our stay at La Hacienda was very relaxing and the owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful with suggestions for our time in Boquete. The breakfast each morning was super and served when ever we wanted it. Fresh fruit was wonderful and the hot egg dishes, perfect. We had a rental car so were able to drive into town for all it has to offer. It was probably our favorite town in all of Panama. The villa itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wanted including hot water. The only reason we would not give this property a 5 star is the location. Without a car, the walk into town was impossible for us. The walking trails through the beautiful flower and fruit gardens were steep and not what we expected. That said, we are 4 persons in our 70s, so our needs are different from people who enjoy hiking. I am sure others would enjoy the walk into town. I would fly back to Panama over a long weekend, just to have the fish tacos at Big Daddy's.

Outstanding Stay in Boquete
My wife, myself, and her sister and husband had a wonderful three night stay at the Hacienda B&B. The place was immaculate and located in a very private, beautifully landscaped setting. We drove down from San Jose, Costa Rica and arrived much later than expected, at night. The owners, Quincy and Ciella, met us at a restaurant in Boquete and we followed them to the property. They were extremely friendly and accommodating, which made our trip even more enjoyable; you could not ask for better hosts. Breakfast each morning was so fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and a great start for the day. We played golf at Lucero (sp), which is an absolutely beautiful course, and one I'd put near the top of the list for "nicest courses ever played", and it's only 20 minutes or so away from the Hacienda. We, and one other threesome, were the only players on the entire course. The last bit of road getting up to the Hacienda is a little tricky at night if it's raining, but not that bad if you're paying attention. We missed a turn onto a dirt road one night on our way back to the property, and have no idea how we did it, but ended up several miles back up the main highway before we found civilization again. You just need to keep your eyes peeled for the turns. We now understand why the owners meet you in town and lead you up the hill. The restaurants in Boquete are great. We got hooked on the Fish House and ate there twice. Boquete, and especially the Hacienda, is a definite "go back" experience. If you're from Costa Rica, the prices in Panama are great, comparatively speaking. There are several large chains, not unlike Target, including hardware stores offering a good selection of goods. I bought a number of things at great prices that I had on my "next return trip from the States list". Again, the prices were exceptional. Gas, if you're driving is about $2.80 per gallon; we're about a dollar more in Costa Rica, but I think Panama is bit higher compared to current fuel costs in the States. A great trip.

Gorgeous Property, Wonderful Hosts
Our family of 5 stayed at The Hacienda in April. Prior to arriving, Ciella was excellent about answering my questions. We arrived on Good Friday, which we now know is a major holiday in Boquete. Our hosts Ciella and Quincy knew that we might have trouble finding a restaurant open or taxi to bring us to their B & B, and met our bus from David. They then took our luggage back with them, while we followed their suggestions in finding a place to eat. Quincy offered to come and get us when we were done. Wow, what a welcome!
Once at The Hacienda, we were immediately struck by the beauty of the grounds and accommodations. Ciella and Quincy quite obviously love it there, and are happy to share it with others. It was a wonderful place to stay, whether inside, out in a hammock or sitting in one of many areas carved out for that purpose in the gardens. The views are incredible here, as it sits on a hill just above the town.
The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious! Ciella even accommodated my son, who has dietary restrictions. Most times, we had no need for lunch after the big breakfasts, and we just waited until dinner for our next meal.
While there, we took advantage of their recommended massage therapist, Joy, who came to The Hacienda to do the massages. We also visited Jardin Encantado, a botanical garden and wildlife reserve, which we highly recommend. We also did a great tour of Finca Dos Jefes, a local coffee farm. Get a tour led by the owner, Richard, if you can. The two restaurants we ate at were The Panamonte and Big Daddy's Grill, and both had great food. Follow recommendations by Quincy & Ciella, they won't steer you wrong.
One note, if you don't want to rely on taxis to get you around (or if you are traveling on a holiday or during a special event), rental cars are available and the town isn't too difficult to find your way around. I walked to & from town from The Hacienda, and it's a steep trail that isn't for anyone not in shape. It was about 15 minutes to town and 45 minutes to get back.
They provide essentials: small fridge, microwave, electric tea kettle, triple filtered drinking water, assortment of teas, french press for coffee. They also provide two cell phones for use while in Boquete, and have a list of local contacts.
I can't say enough about Quincy and Ciella's hospitality! The next time we are in Boquete (and there will be a next time) we will certainly return to The Hacienda.

Gardens are a treasure. Views of Volcan Baru mountain range is spectactular
Shortcut road is an adventure and fun to this hideaway jewel. Close to town 15 minute walk or less than 10 minute drive but far away and tranquil set in immense picturesque setting of banana trees, lush grounds, running creek, waterfalls, orchids and bromeliads. Paradise found. Luxury appointments everywhere you look from the beds to the down comforter and high count sheets. Furniture is upscale and comfortable. Outside sitting areas are everywhere whether you want to be on the swing, grab one of two hammocks, go down to the creek or stare at the Mountain range. 8 areas in all to enjoy. Breakfast was more than you can imagine with 3 types of fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, quiche, English muffins and French jam. The hosts were delightful, informative and fun. All is provided including local phones, maps and hikes. I can not recommend this place enough. Simply put do not stay anywhere else in Boquete.

Rainforest Hacienda in Boquete
Everything and more. Hosts could not have been more hospitable and the home and setting were breathtaking. We recommend a four-wheel drive SUV as the location is mountainous but worth the ride.

My stay could not have been more comfortable and magnificient
Breakfast for a B&B was the best I have ever enjoyed. Owner was delightful and full of local information. Sheets and beds were elegant and thoroughly enjoyable. Slept best ever. So peaceful and quiet with the sound of birds and hummers all around. Scenic vista and magnificent gardens with sitting areas and terraces abound. The hidden delight of the magic walkway down to the stream was worth the trip. Highly recommend not missing this jewel.
