Decent cottage. Only major problems were the bed was firmer than you could ever imagine a bed being. Would’ve been nice to have a couch rather than 2 chairs. And a television that was bigger. Shower was great! Great location!! Decent value.

Francis was a great host! The property is beautiful, quiet and unique. We'll definitely be coming back in the future.

There are no accommodations for the elderly or/and persons with special needs such as a bed that is not three feet above the floor and dramatically firm. The bathroom is much too small. I was unable to assist my wife in her needs. It was demanded that dishes be washed, etc, yet the floor was filthy.

This place was amazing! My only regret was the weather and our schedule didn't allow us time to walk around and see everything. Will have to come back to take in all the beauty 😊

This property was perfect for a short get away - the cottage was well appointed and high-end with lots of thoughtful touches. It was great to have such luxury and also be able to walk around the farm and see the animals. Francis was so gracious and took me around with her to see the goats and chickens. She has a wealth of information on the area and can give you guidance. Great location where you feel away from it all but a short trip to downtown Fairhope and all the shops and restaurant. Highly recommend this property!

Everything was as described. A cute little cabin on a farm. We were greeted by ducks in the mornings. Everything worked, and we were very happy.

The “farm” was very picturesque with beautiful trees, extensive property and cool animals. Clean and modern cottage had all the amenities need for a comfortable stay just minutes from downtown fairhope. Electric gated entrance was easy and made the stay feel safe. Parking right next to the cottage was very convenient. The internet access was intermittent, but all else was great!

Quiet and Unique Getaway
I really enjoyed this remote and quiet cottage. My wife loves goats and when I saw that this cottage was on a farm with goats it was a no brainer. If you are looking for quiet site away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist area, this is your place. The farm is a couple of miles outside of Fairhope, on a very secluded and safe environment (The property is gated with an access code for guests only). The host and her daughter greeted me when I pulled in and they gave me a very thoughtful overview of the property, my cottage and the livestock. The goats were incredibly cute as were the baby ducks and chickens. I went on my vacay to unplug and relax and this was an excellent place. If you like to veg out and watch movies, this is your place, they had the largest choice of dvds I have seen outside of a video store. The room was clean and the furnishings are very nice. When I choose a Vrbo cottage I like to find unique, non-touristy spots; this cottage and location fulfilled my expectations.

Fairhope Get away
Nice place to stay for a get away from the city sounds, but close enough to Fairhope to go do what you wish. Host was great, very informative and provided info on everything we were interested in doing.

Very Quaint
Exceptionally small quarters. One bed room literally means one room (about the size of a hotel room). We were expecting a separate bed room. Very clean with nice amenities. The working farm was 6 goats, some chickens in a pen, and some ducks. Property was nice, but not much to see or do as one would expect from a "working farm". The TV is the size of a computer monitor and the sound is awful. Owner provides many good movies, but the TV is just too small to enjoy any of them. The owner is very nice and pleasant. The farm is a short drive to downtown Fairhope and overall a better experience than a hotel room.

A vacation away from your vacation!
This is an excellent place to stay! We wanted to visit the beach yet didn’t want to fight the crowds. This was the perfect place to relax and get away. Fairhope has wonderful shopping and restaurants. We also loved watching the sunset at the pier. We enjoyed visiting with the owner and the property has beautiful trees and a very warm atmosphere. WalMart isn’t far away if you need something.

Disappointed and Hurt
Owner was very demanding on how she wanted things done She doesn’t take constructive criticism very very. My husband fell and busted his nose and the palm of his hand. We made suggestion about the flood light not staying on long enough for older people to get in house and that a brick at edge of walkway entrance was sticking out further than the rest of bricks on that side . This was the cause of my husband falling. In my conversation with her on the morning that we were leaving I expressed those 2 things to her . she replied in a way that the timer on the light was pretty much how THEY wanted it and asked me if that was the only THING we had a problem with. She was very rude and abrupt and didn’t show any empathy whatsoever. I never mentioned to her that the only closet she had was too small , there were no drawers to put your personal clothing and no where to put bathroom items as all 3 of these areas were stuffed with HER belongings. The description of the stay was misleading. It mentioned farm fresh eggs and homemade jam as a special treat. We never saw any nor was there any ice because the frig did not have a freezer. We will not stay there nor recommend the house to anyone!!

Owner was not considerate of our family’s tragedy
I came down to the area to visit my sister and niece, who was fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer. My niece’s condition was critical and several family members began traveling down. Because my room was a double occupancy, I asked the owner if my daughter could stay with me for a few nights to save her money & visit my niece. The owner said no. I thought this was very indecent. The listing did say no visitors but I was willing to buy extra to add a guest. Just be aware, you are not allowed ANY visitors. Staying there felt like a prison to me. My niece passed away three days after I checked in, so I never slept on the property after her passing. because I wanted to be with family. Also be aware that cats will crawl all over your vehicle while you’re there and the property is poorly lit, especially if you are staying there alone. I was scared every night I was there. I will not stay there again.

Fabulous Little Getaway
You can't go wrong here! My daughter and I went for an impromptu trip to the beach. We only spent 2 nights at the farm, but wish we could've stayed more. The little cottage was the absolute best I have ever been to. We were greeted by the owner. She was so welcoming and hospitable. We had fresh eggs in the fridge from the farm (very tasty), along with homemade jam and soap made from their goats milk. Everything was there that you could need, including things you may have forgotten. Looking forward to going back very soon.

Relaxing stay on the farm
My husband and I stayed here for five nights in July. The farm is beautiful. Frances is very welcoming and friendly. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. They have everything organized to the littlest detail. I loved the flexibility of being able to participate in the farm experiences I wished. But you don’t have to. I definitely plan to come back and bring my kids! Loved it!
