It is a pet-friendly home (maximum 2 pets under 50 pounds). We now have a fenced in yard, but owners still must have their pets under the control at all times. Complaints from neighbors will result in loss of security deposit.

We are located off the Little Wicomico River with easy access to the Chesapeake Bay. Great Fishing.
Bring your own boat or rent a 17' Carolina skiff for the day at Tucker's boat rental in Shackelfords, VA (50 miles away) or at Recreational Rental in Gloucester, VA (57 miles away). Fishing license included in rental.
Explore the Little Wicomico River on the pedal boat, kayaks or canoe (provided for your unlimited use at no extra cost). Enjoy the Hot Tub, Pool Table, Ping Pong and bicycles (bring your helmet). Bring your own boat for fishing and swimming and moor on 80' dock. Beautifully landscaped, custom tri-level home on 1+ acres with vaulted ceilings. The surroundings provide a warm sanctuary on the water. This spacious waterfront home offers a beautiful view of the water with your own private 80' dock with moorings for large boats.
Upper level 16’ x 20’ deck overlooks the water is located off the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The deck has 2 gas grills for outdoor grilling and a Weber charcoal grill. Enjoy your BBQ fixings on the large 10 foot table cushioned swivel chairs and love seat. A heat lamp keeps you warm on those cool nights when a little extra warmth is needed. Sit back and watch the herons and otters catch their breakfast while you sip your morning coffee.
The upper level also offers a master suite with a sliding glass door water view, 42 in. HDTV, and master bath with ceramic tile floors, soaking tub, shower, toilet, double sinks and walk-in closet. There is a second bedroom with a sliding glass door water view, queen bed and 32 in. HDTV. There is a second full bathroom located next to bedroom. Stunning River Retreat has a large selection of DVD movies for adults and kids.
The entry level has a tiled foyer with a living room with leather sofa and love seat with 48 in. Smart HDTV, DVD, stone fireplace (for ornamental use only--no fires permitted) and hardwood floors. The house has on demand water heater for unlimited hot water.
The lower level consists of a billiard table with a great water view, wet bar, 50 in .TV, stereo. There is a large adjoining room with a ping-pong table, dartboard, Nintendo Game System, other games, stereo and extra full size refrigerator/ice maker. The third full bathroom with ceramic tile floors is located next to the two bedrooms. The lower level bedroom has a queen size bed and the fourth bedroom has two double bunk beds--twin on top of full size beds, TV, and DVD player.
Walk out from the pool room to another deck '30 ft. by 10 ft. and hop in the HOT TUB with seating for 6-7 people or down to the waterside deck with picnic table and large bench at the dock. No mosquitoes as you relax around the yard.
Catch crabs (May-October) with a net or crab pots (supplied) on the dock, or go swimming 'safe for children' as the gently sloping shore leads to deeper water along the sandy water’s edge. Kids can enjoy fishing off the dock where small fluke, trout, spot can be found (poles provided). If you want to catch large fish, there are several charter fishing boats to go out on. Bring boats and keep them at your own private dock. Boat ramp at Smith Point Marina is available 3 miles away for launching your boat.
Ride bikes through the quiet neighborhood (10 bikes are located in shed for your enjoyment), or play a game of basketball with friends in the driveway! Charter a fishing trip or take a cruise over to Tangier island. This home is just two miles away from Smith Point, historic Reedville and both cruise boats.

● Tenant shall not possess or attempt to possess illegal substances
● Tenant shall observe property boundaries at all times
● No on-street parking is allowed. All vehicles must be parked in driveway (maximum 4)
● Tenant shall not possess or use fireworks while on premises or within the local neighborhood
● Tenant shall provide accurate information to Landlord. In particular total number of persons, pets,
vehicles to occupy premises.
● Pets must be leashed and under the control of their owner at all times. Complaints from neighbors about pets entering their property will result in loss of security deposit.
Failure to comply with the above guidelines may result in immediate termination of this Lease without refund,
forfeiture of security deposit, prosecution or any combination therein."

We had a wonderful week filled with fishing, crabbing, kayaking and canoeing! And that was just the outside activities! This house has it all! My family loved all the amenities like the pool table, ping pong, darts and let’s not forget the hot tub! Cheryl and Maurice were amazing hosts! They had a book filled with recommendations for restaurants and activities! The house is completely stocked with everything you need for the kitchen and more! Highly recommend!

Communication was quick. Check in was super easy. The home was very clean and had everything a person could want. It's better than described. There is so much usable space, everyone was able to hangout together or getaway for some privacy. The deck

This home is so spacious with so many amenities, and it is so well appointed. The pictures do not do justice to this home. There are spaces we never even used, and we were a party of 8. The home is very comfortable. The outside deck was great for a crab feast one afternoon during our stay. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs as well. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need during your stay. The well-appointed kitchen is no joke. They seriously have everything. We crabbed, fished, kayaked, and SUP’d. The hot tub was so relaxing after being on the water all day.
All of this being said, there are lots of “rules” posted throughout the house. I don’t know if the owners have had a bad experience previously, but the threats of loss of security deposit, eviction, and prosecution made me anxious, and I wasn’t able to rest and relax like I had hoped to on a vacation. I understand that owners want their property to be safe, and we are responsible adults who respect that, but posted/framed/hung “rule” signs everywhere made me feel like I was in 1st grade again.

House was everything we thought it would be and was very well stocked by the owners. We had quick replies to a few very minor issues and all went well for the next 4 weeks. The area was laid back and very relaxing, which is what we were looking for. Golfing was perfect for our group as we found 3 real nice courses, we tried various places to eat and found just what we were looking for.

We stayed with friends after Christmas and we had a great time !! we had several kids and they loved the game rooms and the downstairs area was perfect so they could hang out and. the adults could be upstairs. The house was very well stocked with everything we could've ever needed. It was clean and charming, and check-in was a breeze.!

We had a wonderful time. The back yard was an absolute dream. The house was stocked with activities and all of the necessity. It was a perfect location for our family to have a break from the craziness of life, rest and reconnect.

This is a fabulous property with lots of amenities! Hosts were very thoughtful and responsive. The only reason for a 4/5 on stars is that there isn't a lot of shopping. It's fairly rural.

The property is actually undersold in its descriptions. The owners definitely have the house setup extremely well for guests. They thought of everything. The water and doc are perfect for fishing. The house was great for families and friends. Would love to stay there again.

The property and owners are so welcoming! The house is almost unbelievably well-stocked—even extra toothbrushes! The were a party of 6 senior adults. Each couple had one bathroom for their use.

Overall the house was absolutely wonderful ! Communication with the owner was very clear and quick responses. I was blown away at how much supplies they have compared to other houses even down to kitchen supplies such as bags, foil, etc. My kids had so much fun with being able to fish, crab, bike, play games inside on the provided systems and ping pong table ! The dog fenced in yard was a HUGE draw and was absolutely worth it! Definitely would recommend! My kids are already asking to go back here !

Enjoyed the home amenities like the deck, pier, boats and patio. The fishing pier and the family games the home offered we all enjoyed.
Did not us the hot tub jacuzzi because was turned off about getting charged extra even after taking a shower before entering. Didn’t need to worry or stress about all those rules. Family was on vacation to enjoy not stress about anything. Loved the gated back yard for the dogs to enjoy!
Washing machine and drier don’t work that good. I had to rewash and dry everything at home.
The sheets had stain in the bed and didn’t seem like there were fresh sheet. Like to wash or bring new sheets to assure I’m sleeping in clean location. The refrigerator was not clean. Addressed this issues with the owner.
Bring mosquito repellant because at night they like to bite.
Other than those issues, enjoyed the short fishing vacation. Kids loved fishing and got pretty decent size fish.

We had a great stay at Stunning River Retreat house. There was a lot to do at home and in the nearby area for a low-key but fun mini-vacation. The abundance of outdoor space and activities was a huge plus.

We booked this home for a three generation family vacation and had a great week spending time together. The home is very well kept and clean. There is ample storage space in the kitchen, as well as bedroom/bathroom areas. The outdoor area was our favorite place to be! My Mom enjoyed sitting under the shade tree in the yard and watching her grandkids kayak paddleboard, fish and crab, and chatting with the ones taking a break. :) The yard was large and well fenced, which allowed the dogs to romp and play and enjoy the outdoor space too, w/o fear of them leaving the property.
The only downside to the trip, was the large amount of jellyfish near the dock, which prevented the dogs from enjoying the water, and made fishing a little tricky at times. This was our first time to this area, and I did not see it in any other reviews, so it was definitely unexpected. We ended up finding two nearby beaches (15-20 min away) where the dogs could play in the water, but had they been able to use the river by the home, we could have avoided wet dogs in the car. Also the trip to Tangier island was a little disappointing. It was a nice ferry ride, but the island itself, is not worth the 3hr ferry (RT). We made the best of it but would have rather just spent the day at Stunning River Retreat.
Oh one other note, we have T Mobile, which did not have good coverage in the area. The locals seem to have AT&T, which seemed to work much better. :)

The moment we pulled up and saw where we would be at for the next few days...we were all so excited! There's not one thing you would want for! They seriously thought about everything! They only thing we had to leave for was getting groceries. They had everything you would need to cook...spices, cups, paper plates! We were welcomed with a treat basket and got to get a complimentary bottle of wine too! The jellyfish were bad but thats of no fault of theirs! It didn't spot us from using the paddle boat or trying to fish. Even set up a little pool for the kids! Was a wonderful experience, beautiful home/property and best host we have had as of yet!

We had a great stay at Stunning River Retreat house. There was a lot to do at home and in the nearby area for a low-key but fun mini-vacation. The abundance of outdoor space and activities was a huge plus.

This zero stress home and neighborhood made our vacation ideal. No Kayak rental time limitations, just go out for a row and be gone all day if you wish! The indoor play opportunities with Billiard table, Ping Pong table, Cards and various other popular games had us laughing and enjoying this lovely home that much more. To top it off a Hot tub and small pool! This property really did have everything when fenced in yard and pet friendly for small dogs was available. Your home felt warm and welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the amazing communication and being a great host!

The house honestly looks way better in person than in the picture. It is very clean, well stocked and maintained. It was nice to be right on the water and travel out with our boat. The marina is only a couple minutes away. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Beautiful dock and lots of activities at the house. So much space!! Even the towels were thick, white and clean.

This home has everything you could need to enjoy an on the water, courty quiet vacation. They have so many things to keep you and your family busy there is no need to go anywhere. Being on a dead end cove it was nice to not have lots of water traffic. The neighborhood is very quiet and a nice place to walk with no fear of traffic. There are lots of bikes but many could use some replacement or work. Inside the home there is plenty to keep entertained as well. Our weather didn't not cooperate as I had hoped so we enjoyed the pool table and all the games in the "play room". We dis not get to explore the area much but there is a cute small town about 25 minutes away. If your looking for quiet with lots to do all in one place look no further.

As a small family reunion we had a wonderful time catching up with one another. Proximity to the water and the ample supply of recreational elements and kitchen elements set a great context for being together.
