Quiet area. Very spacious. Lots of bunnies in the yard!!!
We truly enjoyed our stay!

Very nice place to enjoy family time

Great little cabin! Good location to travel to blowing rock/ grandfather mountain. Cleanliness could have been a bit better, there was a left over article of clothing on the patio from a previous guest and one of the bedrooms had a pet odor. Master bed felt a bit like an air mattress. Overall, small issues to a cute place to stay for a weekend trip. Would come back!

Cleanliness was very good, the decor dated and can tell high traffic. That said beds were comfortable, carpet seems almost new. Living room dated. The layout was a bit strange and pictures didn’t really show the bedroom layout and specifically the loft bed and entertainment / pool table in a bedroom. The hot tub was nice and clean.

Wife just retired after 38 years teaching. She wanted to go away on first day of school and take our Dog who always has to stay home when we travel. The cabin was perfect -quiet neighborhood perfect location and everything we needed was there. Will definitely come again.

This lovely home is ten minutes away from downtown Blowing Rock and also near Grandfather mountain. It is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with a partial view of the mountains, large grassy lot, and plenty of room and spaces to hang out or be alone both inside and outside. We found the house to be quite clean. There were a few cobwebs here a there (such as on the chandelier and hard to reach places), but all of the furniture, hard surfaces/tables, bedrooms and baths were impeccably clean. The house was well appointed with all basic kitchen needs, plenty of towels, trash bags, pillows and even DVD's although we did not watch any TV. The internet password was located inside the house binder and was very fast, so much so that one of us was able to work remotely with ease.
The house was somewhat challenging to find as the house numbers are not in order and the house itself is shielded by trees from the road (and we arrived after dark, and the neighborhood is not well lit- which makes for a great nights' sleep). There is a wooden sign with the name "Mountain Hideaway" which we eventually found. By comparison, all switches and amenities are labeled in the house which helps you get oriented to where everything is. Everything was so easy.
The rental company contacted us frequently (by email and text) to make sure we had everything we needed and it was much appreciated.
The house was extremely comfortable and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Perfect home for us; plenty of room; close to anything you could possibly want to do. However housekeeping was an issue. Food under the bed, spills on one bedroom door, found someone's eyelashes on the couch; problem with main floor shower - loud squeel a few minutes into the shower.

We just stayed at this property for a long girls’ weekend. There was a total of 4 adults and we enjoyed our time. The house is spacious, the deck, hot tub and views were perfect, the couch was comfy and we took full advantage of the fireplace. It was easy to get too, although the area had gotten about 14” of snow a few days before we got there and the driveway was not scraped. We wouldn’t have made it up the road or in/out of the driveway without AWD. Kitchen had ample pots, pans and storage for food but there didn’t seem to be enough eating or cooking utensils for a house that sleeps 10. We were fine; just something to keep in mind if you have a larger party. We were only given one dish towel so we went through a lot of paper towels. The wood floors on the main level are nice but the carpet in the bedrooms has seen better days, and I found a few fake nails on the floor in my room. One thing the pictures don’t show is that the pool table is IN the bedroom downstairs. That was a tad awkward but it didn’t kill the vacation by any means. And the pull out couch wouldn’t be a go-to for sleeping - mattress is quite old and flimsy.
The agency was great to work with and sent several detailed emails leading up to our stay about the house, procedures, services they offer (like grocery delivery) and the area. They even emailed to check on us while we were there. In general, we had a great time and would stay here again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!
We enjoyed the property so much! Plenty of room to spread out , and we loved the hot tub and fireplace . The oven broke during our stay, and they brought us a brand new one! Great place to stay and great management!

We loved the property and location. We had two families and this only had beds for 3 of our 6 children. We had two on air mattresses and one on the pull out couch. Next time I will choose a location with more actual beds. For a weeks stay the children deserve to sleep on an actual bed.

Nice property
We had a nice time at the property. The driveway was ok since it wasn’t snowing but it would have been a bit tricky in the winter. The property was well equipped and the hot tub was great. The only issue was that it was poorly cleaned. Two of the bathrooms were not clean and gross. Thanks.

First experience
This was a very nice first time experience with VRBO. I think more information could’ve been given about the house in a sense but beyond that, it was very nice, cozy, and affordable.

Great
Great trip and cabin amenities!

Good location, easy access.
Check in process was super easy. The communication was excellent with the rental company. No real issues with the cabin, plenty of room we just wish the weather was a little better, we had a ton of rain so it was very wet and cold.

Great mountain cabin!
We came to snowboard and we not in the house much but enjoyed the views and homeliness of this cabin

Great Shelter from the Storm!
Family of 5 (3 adults/2 kids) had a FANTASTIC time for a birthday vacation. The neighborhood is a perfect 1/2 mile loop for walking the dog. The hot tub was clean and operational. We had a snowfall of 8" during our stay, and the cabin was the perfect place to experience it. Weber grill was clean and had a full tank. Recommend you bring a sled for the kids in the winter, as the side yard is a perfect incline. We had a great time, thank you to VRBO & the owners!!
4.7
Amazing Weekend!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better location and house for a family weekend!! Everything was great... hot tub, sledding hill in the backyard, kitchen FULL of all the cookware you could want, a beautiful fireplace!! The management team is so helpful and we couldn’t say enough positive things about our experience!! Thank you!!!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin due to company and location. A few minor concerns-it seems the fireplace flue needs cleaned out. When we started a fire on the main floor fireplace, it smoked out the downstairs. Also the property was not as clean as we had hoped upon arrival. Towels were still in laundry rather than in bathrooms and trash was overflowing in the outside trash can (although as soon as we called the rental company, the trash was picked up within the hour).
