About this cabin rental
Beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bathroom cabin. Cabin is 1900 sq ft, new construction (finished in the fall of 2014) 2 story with tongue and groove walls, knotty alder cabinets, propane fireplace, vaulted ceiling, large soaking tub in master bath, spacious kitchen with new appliances, quite neighborhood. Located in the heart of island park. East of elk creek gas station. Minutes away from atv trails for summer and snow machining in the winter, the buffalo river, and around a 30 min drive to West Yellowstone, 80 miles away from big sky mt and 60 miles from grand targhee resort. This is cabin is perfect for the avid outdoorsman, but cozy enough you will never want to leave.

We are sure there are few places where you will read reviews that come close to the reviews of this beautiful cabin in Island Park. It is secluded in the forest with nearby properties that are at a nice distance.
For your consideration, we have taken a different tack, and will briefly discuss what we look for in a Vrbo rental. We look for premier owner-operated properties. Our experience with property managers has been too hit or miss.

This is our second stay here, and our impression upon entering the cabin is… wow, this place is brand new. It was built in 2014, I think.

We had a group of 5 adults and we were all extremely happy with the cabin. Everyone had ample space and privacy. The cabin is in a very convenient location to everything we wanted to do, Yellowstone, Big Springs, Harriman Park etc. We were also happily surprised at how well stocked the cabin was. Fantastic gateway to Yellowstone
We choose this property for its location and value to explore Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was everything we had hoped for. Property Managers were is to communicate with. The kitchen was wonderful and well stocked with cooking ware. The house was very clean and was exactly as advertised. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a clean, comfortable place in the woods to explore the beautiful area.

Great place to stay when visiting YNP
The cabin must be new or nearly new. It's in great shape. Very large living/dining room and kitchen. The master is on the main floor and is decent sized. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and they are also decent sized. However, neither of the upstairs bedrooms have a dresser or closet,, so no place to put clothes.
The neighborhood has some very old trailers on the street but there are new homes being built. The neighborhood is quiet, but the dirt road coming in can be bumpy..
There is no grocery store out here. The nearest is 30 ,minutes away so buy your groceries in West Yellowstone. There is not much else in the area. The Mexican place about 10 minutes down the road is great, but there are no more options except the pizza place, which we did not try. No fast food at all within 30 minutes.
The owner, Joeyh, is very repsonsive.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient
We were a group of 3 - myself, hubby, and my father - in the area to visit the National Parks. This cabin was a wonderful base for us for a few nights. It was very clean and well-stocked. Check-in was quite simple. Location was a bit away from West Yellowstone, but the drive was easy, and it was actually better to be in such a quite neighborhood, as opposed to the bustling town of West Yellowstone. Kitchen and living area were spacious, porch with chairs was relaxing, bedroom locations offered privacy from other guests. We would stay here again if we return to the area in the future.

Beautiful remote cabin
Cabin is even more beautiful in person. Well stocked. There was 4 persons in our party over 50 yrs old. We had two family members who require limited stairs, this cabin accommodated with only 2 steps into cabin with 1 queen bed and 2 full bathrooms on bottom floor. 2 queen bed rooms and one bathroom upstairs. The only problems was the barbecue is old and needs to be cleaned. We never used it. It was also reported the down stairs bathroom shower water did not heat up. This I do not understand as we had plenty of hot water/pressure in the upstairs bathroom. Did not have time to explore. I will absolutely re rent this cabin if/when I return to visit west gate Yellowstone. Never saw a bear… but I was always looking. GREAT place to stay.

Highly recommend this property
This property is beautiful and so well stocked. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and two infants to have our own space to unwind after very busy days fishing, shopping and Yellowstone. This house is only 30 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone, fishing is two minutes away and shopping was a little over an hour to Rexburg. We are ready to go back again!

Fantastic accommodations, great access to West Yellowstone
We had a wonderful time at this Cabin. The location was as promised in the rental agreement and photos, had great access to West Yellowstone, and some dining options nearby. I’d recommend this location to anyone wanting easy access to the Yellowstone West entrance. The Tetons were a bit of a stretch, but we were able to sneak it in as well! Five Star Island Park Cabin
Upon entering the cabin the first time, we were extremely impressed of how beautiful and clean the cabin was. The owners definitely pay attention to every detail of the cabin. We have a family of five with children ages 16, 26 & 36. Everyone was very comfortable and it helped make our vacation and family time special. The cabin is located in a prime location in Island Park. We rented ATVs for 3 days from Island Park Rentals and road such fun trails right from our cabin. Again, the cabin was a perfect location for us to visit Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Cody, WY and Jackson Hole, WY. The owner, Joey, notified us the 2nd day we were there they captured on the cameras a Grizzly bear walking through the cabin area between us and his next door cabin. Leaving the cabin Saturday morning heading to the airport, we were excited to see a male moose right outside our cabin. If you are visiting the area, we highly recommend staying in the Steelhead Lodge cabins. You will have a blast!!

Great cabin, great location!
My wife and I traveled with two other couples across the country and we stayed for three nights at this cabin. It really meet all of our needs. The cabin was clean and well stocked. No AC but we were out and about all day and the evenings were cool so it was okay. Robin’s Roost is the place to go get your food if you want to cook at the cabin. Lakeside Lodge is also a great place for dinner and close to the cabin.

We have rented through VRBO in the past and this was the very best property. It was "like new"inside, from the furnishing, appliances, and very well stocked with everything you may need to be totally comfortable on your vacation.I do have a few suggestions that would make everything perfect.... The bed in the master bedroom rattled and squealed when someone turned over at night which resulted in the other person waking up. I'm sure that the bed frame can be tighten to eliminate that situation.... The gas BBQ was so dirty that we wouldn't use it. Again, it's the end of the season and I don't think the cleaning crew had it on their list to clean. Past renters that used the BBQ most likely used a great amount of sugar type BBQ sauce and it baked onto the grill and burners. It needs a thorough and heavy duty cleaning.... We attempted to put our trash into the provided dumpster and it was totally full. I couldn't even move any of the trash in the dumpster to make room for our trash bag. As a result, we took it home with us.This is why I rated the overall experience a 4 star rather than 5 stars. Saying that, we would rent this property again in a heartbeat..

Best VRBO Property Yet

This property exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful and clean. The kitchen is stocked with basics which was nice. It is located on a dirt road which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Also the step up to the front door probably needs a handrail. It was a little dangerous in the dark.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cleanliness, location, price and stocked supplies were top notch. Had much more than what we needed. We were only there to sleep and spent one early evening hanging out on the porch. Other than that, we were gone enjoying the great outdoors. Perfect Stay
This property had everything our family needed to visit the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area. The home was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking, towels, and entertainment. Communication from the owner was excellent and check-in/checkout instructions were very clear. Wifi worked excellent as our phone signal wasn’t the greatest. I’ve already recommended this property to friends traveling to the area.

We were 2 families, 4 kids total, traveling from SoCal & this cabin was perfect! Tucked away , super clean & had everything we needed & then some. Joey was responsive & easy to communicate with... the house was a nice easy trek to Yellowstone & we found a fishing hole for the kiddos down the road. We loved this home away from home!
