Great location and great house. very happy with it.

Comfortable home with all the amenities desired. Close to the Village and the game room was the cherry on top! Would return again.
3.0
The house was spacious, convenient and the layout is better than expected from the pictures. The price was fair for the dated condition with some minor issues. The supplies the management company claimed were there were in part (e.g. no paper towels). All the batteries in the TV remotes were dead. Grill handle was broken, grates were clean but pan was not and flamed up burning food. With that said management staff was friendly and available in advance of check in. If the price were right we would give it a second chance. For point of reference, we are worldwide users of VRBO and appreciate honest reviews.

Layout of the house was perfect for our group. It's an older house, but the location and amenities are good. No complaints from my end.
5.0
The house was very clean upon arrival and the description of the house matched what was posted in the details. There were plenty of kitchen accessories which made cooking for the group very easy. The house was spacious and located about a 3 min drive from Palisades resort. Great spot to stay for a ski vacation. Would definitely rent again.

We stayed here with another family for a weekend ski trip and it was the perfect base camp. Our kids loved the foosball and pool table, while the kitchen was spacious and well stocked for the adults to cook and chat around the dining table. We'd definitely stay here again, maybe with 2 other families next time as there was plenty of space.

Property was fine. It’s outrageous that in the midst of an epic storm, road closures and no ability to ski that we aren’t able to get a refund when I notified the manager that we were leaving three days early shouldn’t get stranded. Instead I continued to get notifications that I could pay more to get an extended stay.

We had a great stay at Victory Place. The house was well-equipped and very comfortable - the two seating areas and kitchen were perfect for people to have plenty of room to spread out and relax. The location can't be beat!! Would absolutely visit again.

The cabin is a great place for a large family. Plenty of room. There was some deficiencies like salt and pepper, paper towels, dish washer detergent, bathroom soap and shampoo. The refrigerator was a little dirty. These are minor issues that are easily corrected. I would stay at this cabin again. Great location for activities in Olympic Valley or driving to other areas of Tahoe.

House was awesome! Very spacious, kitchen, well-stocked, and close to town and mountain. Management company was very responsive to questions.
Loved the foam roller and hot tub for after ski therapy.
Hopefully I got the rating correct, with 5 being the best (website didn't indicate rating system). We would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable house with open layout, 2 living areas, wood stove, jacuzzi and more. Close to Palisades Tahoe so you don't have to leave super early to get a parking spot. Property managers are very responsive if you have any issues.

Roomy and close to the slopes
This property was great for our trip with extended family. Roomy with lots of bedrooms and space to spread out. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing, and speaking of skiing, we loved how close we were to the slopes. Our only suggestion is that the TV in the family room is too small for the space. There is a comfy sectional that is nice for watching sports or movies but the smaller, older style TV was hard to see. A bigger Smart TV would be an awesome addition to the space.

Wonderful Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this very large home in Olympic Valley. The beautiful kitchen was very well stocked. Recommend for a large crew of skiers

Fun for the whole family
Overall, it was a good experience. There was adequate space for all family members of all ages to spread out and enjoy the property. Whether it was game time, quiet time, meal time. Once, we got accustom to the daily visit of mountain ants, the grandkids calmed down. We understood that the amenities list provided on website was a general one and came prepared. Yet, the absence of kitchen dish towels / pot holders was a surprise ... a bath hand towel was used in a pinch.

Dirty & disappointing
Definitely not worth the high rate we paid for this house. Unacceptably dirty and there were many broken and disappointingly run-down parts of the house and furnishings. Upon arrival and not wanting to wait for TG to clean the next day, we spent the first hours of our vacation going to purchase cleaning supplies (this house had only dish soap, dishwasher soap and laundry soap. There was not even a broom.) and then coming back to clean. Front deck: dirty & stained chairs (one with an old half empty Starbucks cup), dirty table & windows, vines growing well onto the deck & thru a chair. Dust and cobwebs on internal surfaces & sticky spills on bar chairs. No window screens on master doors/windows so we could not cool down at night. Walls dirty. Debris in garbage disposal and bathroom sink (really gross). I could go on. I should have paid attention to the recurring complaints in previous reviews. Oh, and they still have not furnished the kitchen with hot pads. How hard is it to fix that? Indicative.

Good Location, Spacious House, Not really Cleaned
This house is closed to Squaw Valley resort and in a good and quiet location. The house was large enough for our group of 8 including two children.
Our only concern was that the house was relatively dirty. Some of the bed linens had spots, and body hairs on them. Pillow cases were also dirty and yellow in color instead of clean white. We needed to wash them again. Some bathroom bathtubs were clogged with hairs. The walls in the upstairs game room were covered with dried beers.
When I called Getaways I was told that it could not be true and that the house was always thoroughly cleaned.

Great house, great location
The house was extremely nice
The hot tub was 104 degrees-perfect
We had to eat in because of the covid, and the kitchen was well equipped
Just a short drive to squaw valley ski resort, which had excellent beginner slopes for old folks like us
I would definitely stay there again

Spacious yet cozy
Victory Place is spacious with 2 living rooms, 5 bedrooms and a game room all with peaked ceilings. The open plan including kitchen, dining, and one living area with a wood stove gives the main part of the house a cozy atmosphere. There's space to be together or spread out. Hot tub with privacy from neighbors is a bonus! The management company was very friendly and responsive. Location is great - 5 minute drive to Squaw Skiing Resort.

Pictures look great, BUT...
Generally speaking, we were disappointed in our stay. The pictures posted are not a true reflection of the state of the property. Things look in way better shape, are far more clean, and seem much larger in the pictures than in reality. In reality, the property was very tired, was not clean, and was in bad condition when compared to the pictures. We are talking spider webs, dirt on carpet, stains on the floors, hair on half used soap bars, etc. We had trouble with the Refrigerator which means some of our food spoiled (it just never got cold enough to keep our food from spoiling). Management was responsive to our calls but did not actually do anything to address our issues, except they were able to fix the water heater. One example: they offered to bring us a temporary fridge (great!) but when we asked them to bring it, they changed their mind and refused to bring it. In the end, we tried to make the best of the situation, but left with a very bad taste. I would not stay at this property again. After our trip we sought partial reimbursement from management and they refused. Disappointed in our stay and in the "service" provided. Also the booking entity refused to help fix the situation.

Lovely stay
My friends and I were in Tahoe for a wedding and booked this home. It was perfect for a group of 12 people, with plenty of beds and space to hang out, cook, hot tub, etc. The property management company was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was great to be so close to the biking/walking pathway near squaw and the hot tub was a great addition for hanging out later in the night when it got cooler. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place to stay
We truly enjoyed staying here. The reason for the trip was the World Champion Spartan Race so with this place the entire group was able to stay together and have some fun playing pool and foosball. Was not prepared though for the low setting on the hot water. Wasn't even hot enough for washing dishes and had no dishwasher soap. And no hot pads for cooking. Was able to find the soap at the nearby store but still no hotpads😔. Other than that was a really nice place to stay
4.0
Perfect for our group. The boys were in Spartan race and we all were there to share the experience.
Only issues were no hot pads for cooking and the hot water heat was too low clean the dishes as well as no soap for the dishwasher. Otherwise was perfect

Beautiful Home
The home is beautiful. Be prepared for no AC and be sure to check all bed linens - we had one bed with unclean sheets. A few windows did not open or did not have screens which makes a difference in summer weather. Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Squaw Valley
The neighborhood was beautiful with easy access to the top spots in Lake Tahoe. The house was nice. There were a few windows that would not open and some linen not quite clean. Overall the property was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Victory Place at Squaw Valley
Everything about the house and our stay was great. Only thing that could have made it better is if when it was built they had added 7 bathrooms instead of 4 for the convenience of the 6 bedrooms! Hahaha...

Victory Place
We loved everything about it. ( only exception would be if there would have been a bath for each bedroom). On arrival the property did not look like the picture. The front yard was very small and there were cabins very close to it. I was afraid that the inside was going to be misrepresented as well. Everything was great. It just threw me off seeing it in person, it was not as pictured and yet it was.

Great location! Nice neighborhood
Excellent! Needed better supply of dishwasher soaps paper towels and dish towels. No wash clothes?
Little things over all great stay.
5.0
Great location, lots of space and really well stocked kitchen and spacious rooms.
A luxury property that was perfect for our girls’ ski trip. Location can’t be beat, only 5 mins from Squaw Village. Open plan kitchen that is well stocked and nice, spacious rooms
4.0
Cozy cabin, great location!
This place was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 5 kids. Great location close to Olympic Village and enough space for all. The upstairs game room was perfect for the kids and adults. My only complaint would be that there are no accommodations made for babies, (pack and play, high chair etc) this is something most rentals provide or will make happen at request of renter. The options were a expensive rental company that would deliver these products. Other than that we loved the place and enjoyed our stay! We would def come back again!

House was good, location was great. Working with Tahoe Getaways was not great. They left dirty sheets on one of the beds, they were vague with what was available at the house (hair dryer, coffee filters), and they just acted like they didn't care that much. Also, the house says it fits 12 people, so we ended up with 12. But, technically, there is a small room off the main living area that has a trundle bed (not very comfortable) that could be great for kids, but I would not count that as a bedroom, nor would I count that as sleeping room for adults.

We were so happy with Victor Place! Photos did not do this home justice. It was so comfortable and spacious that it housed a dozen women easily! We were situated so close to the mountain that it was easy to get up and go for a day on the slopes. Its also close to down Truckee and the beautiful lake so I felt it was the perfect location.

Five women from across the country gathered for a ski getaway. This house was perfect for all of our needs. The kitchen was equipped with a good supply of cooking equipment, dishes and spices. The bedrooms accommodated all of our luggage and there was adequate bathroom space for all. The hot tub was a great treat at the end of the day. Location was excellent to Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley and Truckee. Snow removal services were also very good.

The blizzard on March 1st had us worried to drive down to the bay area, however the management gave us great rates to extend our stay making for worry free travel... THANKS TAHOE GETAWAYS!
