We greatly enjoyed our stay! The location to the main lake is wonderful. No wake zone but only a 2-3min float to the main lake. The house had everything to accommodate our family and the kitchen had everything you could even need. The bottom of the stairs leading to the dock is a little tricky, and could use some work. Find for me and the kids but not comfortable with taking my elderly father-in-law down then. Thankfully the marina is a very short drive and he could get on the boat that way.

House was comfortable, spacious, and had a great view of the lake. Host was quick to respond, and neighbor was friendly.

Great week at the lake. House fit perfect for our family. Nice location and very clean. Look forward to staying again in the future.

The Lure was a great location for our annual extended family trip to Norris. The host was quick to respond when issues arose. The fire pit on an angle/hill which was the only thing I would change. The minimal steps to the dock were manageable for my parents that do not walk well. Thank you again for a great stay.

Great spot, nice house. Beautiful lake.
Upstairs Bathroom is weird and dock is on the outdated side. Otherwise lots of fun.

Great house with plenty of beds. Love the location with minimal steps to the water. I have had several different groups of family and friends stay here multiple times. Plan to return next year.

This place was perfect for our family, and will stay again. The location is great, steps to the lake are very manageable for all ages. Amie was great, and very easy to communicate with.

We've stayed at The Lure several times over the years. This is the first time we've had the pleasure of dealing with Amie. This is our annual family trip including grandparents, siblings and nieces and nephews, so we cover a wide range of interest and tastes. To a person, including the young ones, everyone had a great time. This property is located at the ideal spot on the lake in a private cove so the swimming and floating at the dock is perfect. The dock well seasoned and could use some updates but it serves its purpose well. We did have a problem with the A/C at the house on this trip. Fortunately the weather was cool enough that, though inconvenient and not ideal, it was not too big a deal. The owner/manager was quick to communicate and address the problem. I highly recommend this property for your family lake trip.

We had a great stay at the lake for the holiday weekend. The House and private dock were great for a nice boating weekend!

Very clean, comfortable house on the lake with dock for a relaxing family vacation. Everything was as advertised. Because of the hurricane we decided not to trailer the boat there but cove was deep and looked easy to navigate. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time. The lake was awesome like usual. This has the best parking situation of anywhere we have stayed on Norris lake. It was nice to have bit of flat lawn in front too and got a little game of catch in. Dock set up was good and the number of stairs was less than normal. The bottom set of stairs could have used a scrub. The landing was a little slick and a couple kids slipped. The decor was nice and beachy. I liked the artwork and took pictures to duplicate it for myself. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. The bathroom set up was a little challenging for our group of different families. The full baths on the main and second floor were in bedrooms. The bathroom in the basement was pulling double duty as a utility/ laundry room and bathroom. It was a little odd with the extra fridge in the bathroom. The basement was really cold as basements are but there was no way to block/close the vent in the basement bedroom. I would put extra blankets on the beds in the basement. The kids had fun with the ping pong table and foosball table. The fire pit was in a nice location but we did have trouble with hot tub tho. It would be nice if it was under the upper deck rather than in the elements. We would stay here again.

The property was great! Plenty of parking. Clean!

The house was great but the water there was the real hit! It's far from the main lake but the fact it's "no wake" was amazing! We were able to float around all day without worrying about speed boats. Water was amazing! So clean and clear! You see your toenails in the water! The one weird thing about the house was the bathroom upstairs was inside a bedroom but there were 2 other bedrooms up there to share it somehow... Otherwise great house!

Excellent Property, Location and Host
This is our second trip to Norris Lake and this property was better than our prior stay. House was exactly as described and host was extremely responsive and helpful. We bring our own 21 Ft boat so the logistics for our boat are extremely important in our consideration of homes. The access to the property was pretty easy for towing a boat and there is a private launch right down the street and was super easy and I’m still a boating novice. Dock was great and covered with a very calm and quiet cove so my boat was in great shape. Great neighborhood with higher value type properties and quiet street. House was very clean and very nice kitchen and living areas. We only had 5 people in total 3 adults and two teens. Absolutely no issues with this house. Steps down to dock are very easy and not steep. I love this area of the lake. Close to Powell Valley Resort and Flat Hollow. Powell was completely remodeled and very nice. Flat Hollow undergoing improvements so will be nicer next year. All in all would absolutely stay here again. The lake itself is so incredible we love coming here.

Wonderful short weekend getaway
We stayed here this past weekend for my moms 60th birthday. Everyone was wonderful. The house was spacious and fully stocked. All communication with Amie was easy and punctual! I would definitely visit again and stay at the Lure! Highly recommend

Great spot
Comfortable house. Fun game room. More than enough kitchen stuff. Quiet Cove. Less than 15 minutes to Powell Valley Marina. Felt clean and great communication with the renter. Most importantly for me, if you’re towing a good-size boat, great space across the street and gravel for comfortable parking. Thank you!

Great long weekend at the lake
Thanks to Amie for a great home away from home. It had everything we needed for a great time at the lake. The kitchen was well equipments and the bedrooms and layout was just as pictured/described. We had plenty of room for all 18 of us. The kids took over the basement and the adults had the upstairs. Thanks again!!

Nice area
The house was at a good location to reach smooth water for water sports. Go past Flat Hollow Marina a ways. The house has a well stocked kitchen but bring your TP and paper products. The floors were not overly clean and the windows were very smudged but overall the house was clean.

Wonderful trip!
We love this house! This our third time staying at the Lure and we will definitely be back! Great location, easy parking for trailers, nice quiet spot! We love it! Amie was wonderful to work with and was quick to respond to any questions we had. All around great experience!

Great home and location
Location was great as it’s near 2 marinas. Boat ramp was easy to use and the additional property to park across from the house was much needed with our 3 trucks and trailers. Rental states trash bags, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper is provided. Do bring extra because we ran out of toilet paper the 2nd day, there was not hand soap in each bathroom, and no trash bags or dishwasher soap was provided.
Kitchen is very well stocked, my daughter requests a waffle maker.
Stairs to get to the boat dock are great, not steep, until your last set.
Overall the home is beautiful, large, clean, and very accommodating for your needs to eat, sleep, and relax.

Great family vacation at The Lure
This was our first visit to Norris Lake and our first visit to The Lure. We always plan for the entire family, so the ability to sleep up to 18 was a must. The Lure had plenty of space and would have accommodated 18 beautifully. The sleeping arrangements were great. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house appeared very clean. With sleeping on all three floors, we could spread out our three families. The kitchen was well equipped and met all our needs. If you have a large group, I would suggest packing extra paper products, however. Access to the lake was easy. The dock was very sturdy and the steps down to it were well maintained. The boat ramp was nearby and easy to use. The house is on a quiet, no wake cove which made swimming and fishing very doable. The dock has a nice swim ladder that made getting out of the lake easy. Because the water is deep, young children will need life jackets. They can't just wade in. The owner was very responsive to communication before and during the trip. We would love to return for another visit.

Great House, Great Location!
What a great house! One of the nicest decorated houses we have stayed at Norris. There was plenty of space for our group: two families with high school & college kids. The basement was a hit with boys. The deck offered plenty of seating for morning coffee and late dinners. There was plenty of seating for everyone to eat and the sectional was perfect for game night.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and cooking utensils, plenty of silverware & glassware for all. We appreciated the little touches: hot pads, dish towels, hand soap, Kleenex throughout the house, kitchen sponge and dish soap. There were pitchers to make drinks, measuring cups/spoons for cooking and lots of pantry space. Nice fire pit area with chairs and grill with extra propane, if needed.
The two refrigerators were perfect (kitchen and basement). There was even a counter top ice marker and it was amazing!! Super easy to use and quick to make ice. There were two dryers! Perfect after a day on the water and lots of damp towels.
Two things we found odd: the steps down to the dock didn’t line up with the dock. It wasn’t an issue for us but if we had little kids, it could have been. Secondly, the upstairs had three bedrooms and one bathroom however the bathroom was in a bedroom which the other two rooms had to share. If we had three couples, it wouldn’t have been an ideal set up for privacy.
Amie was great on all communications. She answered any and all questions prior to and after our booking.

Beautiful house on quiet cove
The Lure has an amazing view of a quiet no-wake cove. It has a large open concept main living area, extra fridge, extra dryer, ice maker, comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen. The ping pong table was a hit with the kids, and we absolutely loved the dock area. Having a place for up to three boats was awesome in addition to the seating area on the dock and extra chairs. There was even a clothesline on the dock to dry towels and life jackets on. The cove is amazing…peaceful and beautiful. There are maybe two dozen steps or so down to the dock, which was very convenient and easy to get up and down. We were so grateful for the use of the landline phone since cell service is poor. Make sure you follow the owners instructions for how to get there instead of just using GPS, especially if towing a boat on the winding hilly roads. There is a paved community boat ramp just down the road. Parking area is excellent at the house and can accommodate several vehicles and/or boat trailers. We had a great time in this serene relaxing home. The owner is very responsive and will answer your questions quickly. I highly recommended!

Everything you need!
Everything we needed for a large group ages 15-82 was on hand in this home. Well maintained and clean. Amie was excellent at communicating with us and responded quickly to any questions we had. Kids were catching fish off the dock and had a great place to kayak. No complaints from anyone! Would definitely recommend this home!

Getaway without the kids
Enjoyed a great long weekend at the lake. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for our group and the location was perfect. Tucked in a no wake cove close to a boat ramp. Would definitely stay again with the kids.

Great house on a cove
We stayed here for a short vacation with family and friends. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything we could have needed. The house had enough space for all of us, plenty of beds. The location on the lake was wonderful- set back in a quiet cove, no wake zone, great for swimming. The home owners were very accessible, helpful and easy to work with. We definitely enjoyed our stay at The Lure.
