About this house rental
Beautiful, cozy wood cabin with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and hot tub.
The home has 3 levels:
The Bottom level has the entrance to the house, and a bathroom with shower. The entrance leads to the stairs to the main level. The stairs are made of 10 steps, which may be difficult for a person with mobility issues.
The Main level has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with cathedral ceilings and opens onto a brand new large deck with Lake Views and BBQ area. On the deck there is a table, 1 small Weber BBQs, and an 8 people L-shaped sofa with a table. In the summer we install sunshades. The Living room offers a 55 in flat panel TV, stone fireplace, Bluetooth speaker, and wireless Internet. The kitchen has been updated with a Wolf stove, stainless steel French doors fridge, and a beautiful black granite counter, with bar stools. The original wood kitchen cabinet were kept in order to maintain the rustic "Tahoe cabin" look that we love! There is a hand-made table (built with recycled wood from a late 1800s house on Telegraph Hill) , which comfortably sits 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped, including spices, dishes, pots, microwave, etc.
Off the main floor there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (with bath). Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed, a large window and a glass door that leads onto a private deck overlooking the forest. There is also a toddler mattress in the closet. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed, and 2 large windows. There is plenty of closet space in both bedrooms. Additional linens, towels and blankets are stored in these closets. Additionally, we supply shampoos, soaps, toilet paper.
The top level has a loft, one master bedroom and one bathroom with black granite counter (with bath). The loft has amazing lake views, a sofa/futon, a coffee table and 2 sofa chairs.
The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, a full size bed, an additional twin mattress (under the bed) and it opens onto a private deck, which overlooks the forest.
The Hot tub is located outside, is accessible from all levels, and has a view of the lake and the forest. The hot tub is serviced by a professional hot tub cleaning company.
There is a 1 car garage, 2 cars can park in the driveway, and there is an additional 2 car parking at the street level (only in the summer months).
The house is located in Kingswood Estates (Kings Beach) at the edge of the forest -a hiking trail starts just behind the house. You will see chipmunks, bunnies, Steller's Jays and other local wildlife from the decks.
The house is a 2 min drive to the lake and Safeway, 8 min drive to Northstar, 20 min drive to Squaw Valley, and 5 min drive to the casinos in Nevada.
Please let me know if you would like an early check in and late check-out.

Communication with the owner is a 10+, the owner responded quickly and was very flexible. We were going to cancel due to a family member having COVID, the owner offered us to change our dates if we wanted. This was after the cancellation date had past.
CONS about the rented, descriptions will need to be updated. There is no front entrance, the only entrance is through the 1st or second-level bedroom. You'll still need to go through the 1st level bedroom because it's the only door that you can use the key to get in. The garage has no entrance into the house.
The 1st level stairs leading up to the main floor are very straight, and have no handrails.
The stairs leading up to the loft have handrails on the side that is not needed (the wall). The other side is open, accident waiting to happen. The loft is very spacious but very hot during the summer months. Fans do not do justice. The loft has 1 futon, and 2 full/queen bed (not as described). All beds and bedding are very old.
Suggestion: Put handrails on both stairs. Put screen doors on both the rooms that have a slider and door in kitchen/living room, so can be open for cool air during summer months. That helps cool the room faster than using fans. Replace some of the mattress, as it's lumpy and sunk in when you sleep. Since the main room where everyone hangs out is on the 2nd level, move the hot tub to one of the patio on the 2nd level. Easier for everyone to enjoy instead of in the parking area.

Had a great time with my family. The house was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The jacuzzi was a great time to relax at night, just keep the volume in mind! The house was perfect distance from all stores, food, and lake. I would recommend this stay to anyone and will be back one day.

Very spacious home with lots of room for everyone. Clean and well-appointed. Owner communicates well! One thing to note: the main entrance to the house is through the lower level, which is one room that has a bed and is therefore listed/advertised as a bedroom.

The property location is the best---- for winter and summer activities! We spent a full week there the last week in December, skiing and snowboarding at North Star and Incline.....a very short drive to both....and to the lake too. Many great recommendations for eating nearby too.
Paola was so easy to communicate with the entire time. Graciously had a lot of wood available for the wonderful fireplace----which we used every day.... The decks were great, though during our stay, were covered with snow.
As the description indicates, this is a 3 story home, with the entry on the ground floor----and the stairs could be difficult to maneuver for very young or elderly. Also, the driveway was pretty steep. Having the garage available for our car was a huge asset!
Plenty of paper products available as well as kitchen and bathroom supplies.
The living room, dining area, and the loft area---terrific for a large group.
We all enjoyed our stay and the home very much!

The large deck was a very nice place to hang out. Lots of sitting areas and tables.
A mix of old with the new. Beds were comfortable and a nice touch were the toys and books for kids.
The only oddity is the fact you need to walk through a bedroom to get to the main living area at each level. This is a plus if you want to take a walk while everyone is still a sleep.

This home was perfect for our family’s needs. It is in a great location!
This home was unbelievably spacious for our two families and cozy enough to provide memorable family memories like having meals together in the beautiful deck. Nestled in the woods, it felt as a truly beautiful and comfortable getaway! We recommend this property for your family!

Wonderful stay
Paola was super - communicative and kind. We got 10 feet of snow in the December snowstorms in the Sierras, and yet the driveway had been cleared for our cars to get through to the house entrance. The hot tub was excellent as was the heating system. The location is very convenient for the ski resorts and amenities in the area. The house is large enough for over 10 people. We wished we could have used the deck in the sunshine but it was under literally 10 feet of snow! A magical winter wonderland. Highly recommended.

Great stay in Kings Beach!
The property was just as described, and perfect for our multi-family ski vacation! Great for kids. Hot tub is nice after a long day of skiing. Paola is very responsive and easy to deal with. Thanks for a great stay!

Had everything we needed
Paola was absolutely great and understanding. We originally had the property booked for the end of August when the fires were happening, Paola graciously allowed us to reschedule our reservation. Paola was also kind enough for us to check in earlier and check out later. I love that the property had everything we needed in terms of utensils, plates, cups and even body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It was very thoughtful. It was a great experience.

Cabin feel in great neighborhood
Our family group of 6 adults, 4 kids, and 2 dogs stayed in July. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us comfortably with futons to spare! The deck and main living space are great and we had plenty of room to eat and play. The kitchen was well equipped to make big family style meals. We appreciated the games and books. Overall the house was very kid and pet friendly, aside from a set of stairs open on one side. The house was a short drive to the beach, and we really enjoyed evening walks on the forest service trails easily accessible in the lovely, quiet neighborhood.
The house does not have A/C, and most of the windows do not have screens. In the 90+ degree heat the house got very hot during the day. It did cool down at night - but then we had bugs through the open windows. The upper and lower bedrooms have minimal ventilation options and were warm pretty late. There were two portable fans, which we put in those rooms. I think this would be a cozy house other times of year, but we probably would not rent in high summer again. Also, the only entrances to the home are through bedrooms up narrow stairs - the couple staying in the room with no door had to go through other people’s bedrooms to get in or out - not a big deal for our group but worth knowing in advance.

Awesome stay for skiing trip!
Paola’s house was perfect for a spring skiing trip to Northstar. Paola was very helpful and communicative. House could comfortably sleep 10 and was reasonably priced for the area. 5 mins from the grocery store and lots of cool hikes close by. Would definitely recommend!

We loved this cabin! Great location, beautiful deck.
Our host, Paola, was very responsive and helpful. We loved the hikes right from the front door, and our son found places to fish nearby. The lakefront at King’s Beach is also a nice scene. Don’t miss the Mexican market in town! All in all, we had a great stay.

Spacious, comfortable cabin in great location
My group had a great time at the cabin over a long holiday weekend. The large kitchen and open dining area allowed for us to all comfortably socialize and relax. The covered deck was so enjoyable to have during the hot afternoons. The check-in/out process was seamless and we would definitely be interested in returning!

Paola was simply WONDERFUL to work with. His communication was impeccable! This cabin is situated in the woods, in a very peaceful and quiet location. The location is perfect, half way between Incline Village and Squaw/Alpine Meadows. The VRBO listing is represented 100% correctly. We WILL be back again.Because the house was cleaned and ready, Paola allowed us to check in early the day of our arrival date. I Emailed the request for an early check in, and since it was ready..He said no problem. Really a dynamite cabin. I cannot say enough good things about the property owner-Paola.... Very honest, genuinely nice, and immediately responds to questions.. Thank you very much Paola!Phil / Rancho Mirage, CA

We can't guarantee that you will wake up on Christmas morning to a foot+ of fresh powder but the main living area of this home is ample in size and warmth for a family gathering of 6-12 comfortably - maybe more if you are not in the home as much as we were! The kitchen was large enough for 2-4 cooks working together - we were there Dec 22- Jan 2 so we had many holiday meals and baking projects going! The kitchen is adequately equipped and when asked Paola, the owner, with whom I communicated sought to get a few extra things for our stay! That leads to other highlight of this home's experience - Paola. As I think about becoming an owner/renter, I can not imagine the time and patience Paola lent to our stay! I began with questions a month out from our stay and she consistently and promptly answered each one! Leading to the aforementioned supplies left on the counter with holiday tablecloth, dish towels and enough decor to keep it festive! The location would be another highlight of the home. We included some real estate tours in our stay and we were able to cover the better part of North Lake Tahoe from the Kings Beach location. The street and the home's driveway are served by snow removal services and we were able to move about easily in the snow!We would recommend and also like to thank Katie tahoe adventure company for finding a guide - also thank you Kelly - for a Christmas snowshoe hike (30 minutes from home near Boreal); and lake tahoe snowmobiling for a great Boxing Day tour with more awesome lake views (right down the road from the home). There is a loft area for some mat workout space - if all the outdoors is not enough but for the gym rats - guilty - we thank high altitude fitness for the great facilities and visitor membership options (15 min from home in Incline Village); for Pilates junkies - guilty - thank you Dusty the sanctuary for a great private - also great massages the sanctuary (15 min away near casinos/stateline)Paola has some great restaurant recommendations in her visitor book. As noted, we ate at the home often but we loved The Grid for some of our (football) bowl watching - some of the best bar food we have had! And the friendliest bartender we met! Overall our family's first white Christmas could not have been better! It was a few of our first time to Tahoe and it will not be our last! If I do become an owner/renter, I hope I take some lessons from Paola in the area of customer service! Enjoy!

Great North Shore location and roomy for a large group
We had several family members come in from out of state and wanted a large vacation home to accommodate 11 adults and 1 child. There was plenty of sleeping room for all of us, and the kitchen living room was a perfect gathering place for meals. The instructions to open the home and take advantage of all the amenities, including the hot tub, were spot on. We only spent 4 nights and everyone was sad to leave. We would have rated our stay 5 stars but the steep stairs to access all the levels was a little difficult for our older guests to manage. Other than that, the property had everything we needed to make our Tahoe vacation perfect. Thank you Paola Dozzo for making our first VRBO rental stress free!!

Great Vacation Rental in North Lake Tahoe
My group of 6 friends rented this house in August for a 3 day weekend getaway. Our requirements for the rental were: fully equipped kitchen, patio and bbq grill, hot tub, and close proximity to the north shore, so this was the perfect vacation rental for our needs. We liked the layout of the bedrooms, and they were all spacious and comfortable. We especially loved the open space between the living room, dining room, kitchen and patio. It was great for entertaining and spending time together in these common areas. We made all of our meals in the house, utilizing the bbq grill both nights. The patio was great for hanging out after dinner and enjoying the peaceful quietness of the lake. The house was a short drive (<10min) from grocery stores and the local beach so it was very convenient to get to. The owner was very easy to communicate with and the rental process was straightforward, so we would love to rent this house again in the wintertime, as it is very close to Northstar.

Great vacation! Great house!
The home we stayed was great! The house is spacious and comfortable, we loved the light in the living room and the spectacular view from the deck. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and having 3 bathrooms was a plus for 8 people. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook each night. We also found they had lots of spices, probably left over from previous renters ;). Every night we came home from a full day of awesome skiing, we would have the hot tub ready for us in the beautiful context of the nature of Tahoe. If we had any questions or concerns Paola (the owner) was always very helpful and cheerful, great girl! I definitely would love to return to this house for our next visit to Tahoe!

We love this charming, roomy, home-y house!
My wife and I have stayed here twice in the last few years and can't say enough good things about the space and the house's owners.
The open common space with large, well-equipped kitchen; adjacent ample dining room; and big, super-comfy living room are perfect for getting friends and family together for shared cooking, group meals, and lots of fun and laughter. The light from the large windows is just wonderful, and we love the number of private sleeping spaces that offer a cozy sanctuary for quiet reading or rest.
Hot tub. Large west-facing deck. Minutes to Northstar and King's Beach amenities. Everything you want from a summer or winter rental.
