Russian Hill Penthouse top floor contemporary condo. 2,200 square feet. San Francisco downtown and sweeping bay views with Alcatraz in the center. 3 carpeted bedrooms plus additional room/office bedroom adjacent to master bedroom for more guests. King bed in master, second bedroom with double bed, and single bed, and third bdfroom with double bed. Room adjacent to master can have portable queen and twin aerobeds for more guests. Two and half baths with double sinks, glass shower, and tub. The Jacuzzi leaks and can not be used- sorry. Huge gourmet kitchen with thermador gas cooking. Sudden hardwood living room. 70"l’ screen TV, WIFI, and washer/dryer. Three large outside decks. Completely remodeled with cathedral ceilings, and hardwood, Dining room complete with table that seats up to 8 people. Everything is sparkling clean and disinfected. Close by public transportation. This property is outstanding. It is spacious, clean, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The deck is awesome and provides amazing views. The location is fantastic, and we loved the neighborhood. It was noticeably quiet and safe. Bill was the perfect host, and i would definitely stay here again! definitely stay here again!

Would love to give this property a higher rating as the Penthouse itself was beautiful, a nice kitchen and good location. However, the lack of the basics expected in a lodging costing $1,000/ night (with all the extra fees) resulted in the lower rating. As mentioned in other reviews, - the lack of washcloths - only 3 for 6 people, very thin pillows, master bed on the floor (which you only find out by looking through all the pictures in the listing - not mentioned in the description) missing or broken items, i.e.. curtain in room connecting master bed room to bathroom missing, Jacuzzi nonfunctioning, outlet not working - all of which could be easily rectified by the owner of he chose yo

The 5th floor view was great the location allowed us to easily see the city on foot and via the street trolley. Located between Washington Square and the Wharf. Perfect.

The location of the penthouse is great. You can walk to the piers, shopping centers, and lots of amazing restaurants. The penthouse itself is clean and spacious. The views are incredible. I would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is incredibly clean and quite large for a San Francisco apartment. There are some very nice views and located very centrally (easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, Chinatown, Financial District, etc.). The host is communicative and very responsive. Definitely would like to stay again!

Within one mile of all attractions. No fire station or hospital near by. Worth the climb from the bay for the peace. Great views of Alcatraz.

I’ve lived in sf for 7 years. My family is moving east and as a last hurrah we booked this property with a group of close friends. All I can say is wow! Absolutely stunning, excellent location, wonderful views and very comfortable. Bill the property owner was splendid, communicated welll, and was a very nice guy. 10/10 would recommend this property.

This was our first visit to San Francisco and we could not have chosen a better place to stay! The home was beautiful and comfortable and Bill, the host, was amazing! He checked in several times during our stay to make sure everything was going well and answered any questions we had. The property is very conveniently located. Within walking distance to Fisherman’s Warf, grocery shopping, and public transportation. We did not rent a car and only took an Uber twice while we were there. I would highly recommend and hope we have an opportunity to visit again in the future!

We agree with many of the positive reviews about this property. We stayed at this property for 4 nights in March 2024. It is a very spacious place with everything necessary for a pleasant visit. The location is in a quiet area and is very convenient, within walking distance to tourist attractions, shops and good restaurants. I It also has a great view of Alcatraz Island. We had some remote work to do, and found the small office space next to the master bedroom very useful, and conducive to work. Communication with the host was very efficient, and the check in/out was very simple. All in all a great property and we would love to stay there again given the opportunity

We had the best stay! We (our work team) come to San Francisco every year and this was our best stay yet! The check in process was easy, the place has a lot of space and immaculately clean. Great communication with Bill throughout our stay. Great neighborhood and could walk to everything in North Beach. Thank you so much!

His communication was prompt and clear, the place was comfortable and spacious and our team really felt like we had a home away from home. This is a beautiful penthouse with a lot of space. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, including an electric mixer I used to bake a small wedding cake for my son. It was a perfect location for our small group of friends to hang out while visiting the Bay area for my son's wedding. Walking distance to Ghirardelli square and Pier 39.

Stayed 2 nights in this nice penthouse condo that is in a great neighborhood, close to the tourist stuff but also beautiful just walking around the neighborhood. No complaints about the property. It is spacious, and nice, and the owner is diligent.

the location of this property was exactly what we were looking for, walking distance to ghirardelli square, pier 39, fishermans warf. pats cafe among other close places to eat , walking distance to chinatown, lombard hill, etc. the place had older decor, but was well appointed and clean, including secure entry and a great view of alcatraz

Very easy to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf area, good parking garages close by too. Location has a beautiful view of Alcatraz and bay. Apartment is spacious and clean. Bill was wonderful at communicating and check in and check out was a breeze.

Bill was extremely responsive. This is very clean LARGE penthouse condo on Russian Hill. 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. Spectacular views of Fisherman’s Wharf, SF bay, Alcatraz; fun watching the Alcatraz lighthouse beam circle at night. Shoes off at front door (no chair provided), kitchen was fully outfitted. No icemaker, filled Brita in the fridge, gas Viking stove. Dishwasher and pods, washing machine and laundry soap provided, dryer too. Large screen TV and living room sofa, huge dining room table, WIFI. Bedrooms, your luggage is on the floor, no chest of drawers, chair or luggage rack. Bath towels were provided on the beds, but no face cloths. Bill said face cloths were in the large closet, but I could not locate them. Hand towels were in the bathrooms. TP was plentiful, no Kleenex. PARKING WAS NOT INCLUDED. On street parking was difficult to find, and we saw broken car glass on the street. We parked at the Hilton .8 miles away, parking cost $ 29 / day and Uber was $ 12 one way. Uber to the water front was also $ 12-15 one way. You could walk. Owner does maintain clothing, sporting equipment in the closets. There are notes posted on the walls throughout the home. Neighborhood seemed safe for a city, Traders Joe’s 1 ½ blocks. Check out instructions were to put the towels in the washing machine and run it on Sanitize. This was a little off-putting. I wondered if the prior traveler had followed these directions. I would stay here again for the location & the view.

Overall this is a fantastic place to stay. I would not bring children as there is white carpet. Pictures are a little deceiving; you can not use big tub or fireplaces.

Location is an easy walk to North Beach restaurants and Fisherman's Wharf, etc. Nice kitchen with all the comforts of home. Parking is a bit of a hassle/inconvenience. Had a hard time figuring out the TV. Queen beds would be a nice upgrade. Overall, we had a great time and Bill responded quickly to inquiries.

We are so glad that we chose this place for our vacation stay. Nice quiet location with walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf. The home was very clean and well-maintained and very comfortable and spacious. Kudos to the host who was very responsive and accommodating. Great location with easy walking distance to multiple nearby hot spots & attractions. Accurate description and photos of space. The host is very responsive. However, given the price, would likely consider alternative spots for our next trip since there are very stringent guidelines for how the host wants to keep his space (e.g. signage all over the condo indicating blinds must stay closed, shower needs to be squeegeed after each use despite there being a steep cleaning fee, etc.). Although it was a great location, it was hard to relax in the space with ease given all of the stringent signs and “rules.” Gave 4/5 stars!

Clean, secure, quiet apartment in an excellent location with lots of good restaurants, a Trader Joe's grocery store, and smaller local markets nearby. Photos in listing are accurate. On the top floor of the building with easy elevator access right outside the unit door.
