The stay was excellent except for the complimentary valet service taking an excessive amount of time getting my car back to me. I had a time-sensitive destination that I needed to get to. Great room amenities and seasonal lobby decor.

We stayed here for an anniversary trip and loved it. They upgraded us to a suite without even knowing it was our anniversary, which was so kind and generous, and it was so comfortable and beautiful with views of the bridge. Loved all of the amenities and the restaurant was great. Perfect for a romantic getaway and would definitely stay again!
4.5
Beautifully restored military base that used to protect the straight into San Francisco Bay. Now part of the National Park. E-bike rentals come with your stay along with joy rides in Lexus cars. We tried the convertible hot rod and drove to Tiberon. Hiking trails right from the grounds. Epic views of Golden Gate and downtown SF.

Room was awful. Bathroom had no counter space.
4.5
Beautiful location and great hospitality.

Check in, Farley Bar, Valet attendants are amazing service. The only thing that needs help is detail to the cleanliness. We were at one of the historic buildings and the front porch with the chairs, the table had metal plates that looked like it was from a heater or something mechanical and a almost empty Rock Star can. It sat there for 24+ hrs./ No one came to clean or pick it up. It was such beautiful weather it would have been nice to sit outside our room on the porch to have our wine but the porch area was gross, dirty and used.
4.5
Classic place with tons of history and views of the golden gate and the city. Wonderful location.

while the hotel was nice, it just didn't have the right flow for us. There is a pool "heated to 99 degrees" it certainly did not feel like that . There is pool but you have to make a reservation and can only stay 2 hours and there are people getting massages al around so you aunt really talk.
I also booked this room for my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary and there was no note or anything saying congrats and they charged the room to my parents credit card which made for an awkward encounter as they were leaving and I really did not want them to know what the room cost. I would say the staff not very knowledgable on appropriate ettiquette

The bridge view was great! Yoga in the chapel was a nice added benefit. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Always love this place. Had poor experience at restaurant. Don't mind the prices, but quality was low. The room are starting to feel dated.

Great amenities, bikes , cars , restaurants, walks , spa, yoga , happy hour ..
Absolutely stunning setting!

Beautiful property with great service. It’s important to know that the pool is part of the spa and kids are not allowed at the pool.

Location and staff made our stay outstanding!

This is a special hotel/resort. Situated under the Golden Gate Bridge, right on the bay. The contemporary rooms are very spacious (we did have an upgraded room) and nice.
Being next to the discovery center cannot be beat if you have younger kids.
On site restaurant was good.
Staff is amazing.
Quick hop back into the city.
Marin at your fingertips.
I cannot wait to go back!!!

A very nice spot right under the golden gate in front of San Francisco.
Rooms are big, clean, spacious.
But overall it is quite expensive. Breakfast was not included. And they charged (racketed) us 120$ for the « free services » they were offering like electric bike and car that we did not used at all…
IMO they’re are better and cheaper option in the area.

This is one of my favorite hotels. It’s such a unique and charming property. It is a fantastic launching point if you want to hike Mt Tam and/or head to Muir Woods. It’s great to grab a ferry ride from Sausalito to SF, or simply to get a treatment at the spa. Sula’s is amazing! If you are into wine, you have to try their “orange wine.” It’s incredible! Too many good things to say about this spot to put into one review. The only criticism we had was regarding the beds. They were too hard and not particularly comfortable. That said, this place is truly delightful. We will be coming back to Cavallo Point as soon as possible!

Our trip was amazing, we will be back.

The area is beautiful, especially the room view we paid for. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by a wedding preparation right in front of our balcony, with setup of a very nice but portable porter potty. The workers set up the place the whole day right in front and came up to our balcony with leaf blowers while I was in my bath robe. When I requested a room change they said they could move us to a different location but it would cost extra for an upgrade. So much for excellent service!! Nothing against the wedding of course, but I felt cheated on the specially booked hotel for our anniversary. They would not even acknowledge any concerns I had.
Needless to say, I would not be getting this kind of service at a JW Marriott or Ritz Carlton for a similar rate. Very disappointed.

Beautiful peaceful place for weekend getaway. Gorgeous views. Easy to park the car, electric car chargers. Nice restaurant for breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends

This was the first time we stayed at Cavallo Lodge and it was amazing . Staff very helpful, and informed us on all the amenities available . The room ( the commanders suite) was amazing with breath taking views of SF bay. The suite was very comfortable, clean and very spacious. They offered turn down service , which is an added comfort. The only neg was the parking, our suite had its own parking space but someone else parked there which made us park a distance from . They offer free rental electric bikes which we thoroughly enjoyed. They have a spa which I wasn’t able to enjoy due to time So many amenities. We definitely will stay here again! It was a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary. Cavalla lodge was the original Fort Baker base and it was redone tastefully but still has the historic charm. The restaurants at the lodge were very good and reasonably priced. We so enjoyed our stay , we’ll book for longer stay next year!!

Every facet of the stay was stellar.
The views, the food, the drinks, the staff.

Sometimes life gets so overwhelming. I am so grateful and blessed that I have Cavallo point to go to as a reset. It is truly one of my favorite places in the Bay Area to treat, refresh, and relax. The proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge, and downtown Sausalito are just a couple of the perks. The smell of the eucalyptus that surrounds the property makes you automatically Melt your tension away.
Whenever I come here, I like the contemporary rooms better. I have stayed in the historic and they were a little loud and not as light filled as I like. I love waking up in the morning and walking to the lobby to get coffee and pastries, and come back to the room and to relax before going on hike in the surrounding beautiful areas.
The healing arts Center is truly healing. I had the best deep tissue massage this weekend and it was a such a peaceful setting. This is one of my favorite places to stay ever!

Beautiful property with amazing views. Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff!

Very close to Sausalito and a fantastic view of the golden gate. Stayed in the historic property - so no elevator which was a bit of a trick - but the 2 bedrooms and sitting area were huge and a great place to relax after a day in the city.
4.5
Wonderful location and very supportive staff. Love this place, especially the historic rooms.

What a great getaway with my mom and niece for her birthday. We really enjoyed the area and property. Staff was really hospitable and friendly.

Beautiful room, beautiful grounds, gorgeous view of San Francisco. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Such a special location with excellent accommodations!

Loved this property. This historic property is meticulously kept up. The service was fantastic, restaurants were great, and historic room was unique and comfortable. We will definitely come back.

It was our 12th anniversary, thought this would be something special. Arrived, asked for a room upgrade if possible. Was told already upgraded. Went to our room, and it was pathetic. At check in, asked if we needed reservations for dinner the following night. Oh yes, it is required, check for availability, only 4:45 available. Arrived for dinner thinking this is a resort, our reservation was in the bar, loud and table space was crowded.. not many people, not sure why the reservation at that time…needless to say this stay was very disappointing….
4.5
This place is about the extraordinary location. The historic room was nice, the bed was fantastic! For the high rate, we were surprised that there were very few outlets, no thermostat or instructions at all, so you must know how to turn on a gas stove and regulate radiators.
4.5
Charming view of Golden Gate Bridge. A beautiful room with all the amenities. Charming staff.
4.5
This is a beautiful property, and the buildings are old and charming. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. Very strangely, however, there was no temperature control in my room and it was way too warm. They explained to me that there was a control knob on the radiator but the radiator wasn’t even on so I had no way of cooling the room except for opening the windows, which were screenless. The front desk offered to send over a fan, but for a $600 room I really think that I shouldn’t have to sleep with fans blowing on me when it’s only 50 degrees outside. Very strange.
4.5
This place is amazing. It has retained it's historic flavor but updated with a cool modern vibe. Great service, terrific food and close to Marin and SF. 5 stars for sure.
4.5
Great property, very helpful and polite staff. The rooms are comfortable and have great amenities.

We had a great time! Thank you staff

Cavallo Point is a gem hidden below the Golden Gate bridge. Our 3 night stay was truly fabulous: great room with a view of the bridge, fabulous food, superb service, sensational spa and top notch amenities including retro e-bikes and a Lexus convertible. We took advantage of all the amenities and still had time to relax, unwind and savor the tranquility of the setting. We will return.
4.5
Very nicely preserved historical property in a beautiful location. The view of the city and GGB was amazing. The staff were very friendly and considerate, service was great. Food and drinks were amazing at both restaurants on site.
