Why stay at a hotel or condo development where you’ll share a crowded pool? At High Blue Heaven, you’ll enjoy the best location on St. Thomas on the breezy, green North Side close to beautiful beaches, delightful restaurants and the ferry to St. John (Virgin Islands National Park)… but quiet, private and high above the ocean so you can enjoy the view without the sand flies. And you will enjoy your own very private pool!
As you enter High Blue Heaven, your eyes will be drawn out over the edge of the pool on the deck to Magen’s Bay, Hans Lollik Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The main floor includes one of two master bedroom suites with full bathroom, the Great Room with living room area (queen sleeper sofa), dining area, kitchen, laundry room and a powder room. Up the mahogany staircase, a second master bedroom features a four-poster bed, full bathroom, walk-in closet and a second deck.
Our house is decorated in a casually comfortable Caribbean style with tile floors throughout and bright colors flooded with light: it’s a place where you can feel at home and relax into island living. From the spacious deck, enjoy a meal…or a swim in the pool while watching the lights flicker on Jost Van Dyke. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to craft a romantic dinner. Or sample half a dozen terrific restaurants within minutes of the house.
You’ll enjoy the prevailing trade winds that keep High Blue Heaven cool and comfortable. Our house is West Indian style, meaning that every room has a ceiling fan. Each bedroom also offers its own self-controlled air conditioning system, as well as television, DVD player, and outdoor deck or balcony with gorgeous ocean views. Wi-Fi is free throughout the house.
Ideally and centrally situated on the breezy north side of the island, High Blue Heaven is seven minutes from swimming and water sports at Magens Bay, one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world (National Geographic).
Coral World Marine Park and Charlotte Amalie with duty-free shopping are just ten minutes from us, as are Red Hook (catch the ferry to St. John) and East End restaurants.

This property is perfect for two couples. Rob met us at the car rental and we followed him to the home where he gave us a quick tour which was very helpful. The house is clean and well stocked with everything you need. However, it isn't going to be a perfect fit for everybody. We experienced some rolling power outages while in St. Thomas that are affecting the whole island, so best not to stock up on any foods that might spoil quickly because there is no backup generator. And don't forget your sunscreen because the deck and pool get a lot of sun and you won't want to be anywhere else (except the amazing beaches!) There's no A/C in the main part of the house but the individual A/C units in the bedrooms can cool down to icy levels for sleeping and the ceiling fans combined with some open windows and screen doors kept the house from becoming too uncomfortable during the day. A dip in the pool really helps if it starts to feel . We were pleasantly surprised by the almost constant breezes and lack of bugs on the deck. You definitely need to rent a jeep (and be prepared to drive on the left side of the road) to access this home. It’s high on the mountain and somewhat remote in that you cannot really walk to any restaurants or shopping, etc. If nothing in this review scares you off, then don't hesitate to book. The house is very comfortable. The pool is deeper than expected and the view is completely indescribable. It can't be photographed and must be seen to be believed! Magical!!!

So much more than we expected, the host was amazing and quick to come when we were out of propane for the grill. We never left the villa, great view, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen with a few spices for cooking so we didn't need to get much. Will definitely return.

THE VIEWWW!!! The pictures do the view no justice. It is so amazing. My fiancé and I were in AWE every single day. The communication was great and they escorted us from our rental car to the house & even gave us a little tour and explained the property upon arrival. A few notes..RENT A JEEP! The streets up the house are narrow and steep and the driveway alone would be difficult without a car that can handle it. The house is close to everything..usually within 5-15 minutes of all the good stuff! We had so much fun! Now…things to know there is no A/C in the living room/kitchen which can take some getting used to (island life) 😊 but the bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fan, ac unit that blows like ice! And a floor fan. We slept comfortably, and as people from the south who have their fans on yearlong that says enough. The house is also a little dated so the door knob to the front house was a tad tricky and some of the windows wouldn’t close or open properly. It was so nice swimming, looking at the view and seeing the iguanas in the trees. We WILL be back!!! Thank you to the owners and Katie for the help and for accommodating us!

The house met our every expectation and need, and the view was difficult to take our eyes away from! The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and condiments in the fridge. You will need to bring/purchase your own laundry detergent though. The bed was very comfortable, probably the most comfortable of any 'vrbo' we have rented. The house was also in a perfect location; shopping, beaches, restaurants, grocery stores are all conveniently a short drive away. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend it!

We travel a lot and stay in very nice homes. This house was one the best houses we have ever stayed in. Its location was stellar. The views were amazing and the breeze delightful. The house amenities were great. The pool was beautiful, we had it heated and loved that we could. The beach chairs, coolers and towels were used daily. The rooms are set up perfectly and decorated beautifully. We used the grill 3 times, drank our coffee soaking up the view every morning and took wonderful night swims.
Great restaurants are close, Brooks Bar and Fishbar were 2 of our favorites. The Fish bar has a great happy hour. We also bought fresh locally caught fish and grilled it. Katie, the house manager shopped for us before we got to the house, so it made very relaxing immediately. She was great. The beaches were beautiful and we enjoyed them daily

Perfect size for us. Very convenient location. House was outfit with everything we needed and more (e.g.plenty of beach towels, snorkel gear, etc). Only suggestion would be a covered patio area. It rained several nights and the patio furniture was wet most of our trip. Would definitely stay again.

This was our vacation for 30th anniversary. We felt like a kid on Christmas morning when we arrived to the villa, the view is absolute amazing from the turn to the driveway to the back porch.
We met Rob after we got our jeep rental. He was very nice and informative.Home was beautiful and the pool was the ticket to the view of the backporch. Our daughter and husband went with us and they were in love with place as well. The island is beautiful. I will say if you go to town in St.Thomas be prepared for people to come to you to spend money. We went to 3 beaches and we loved Solomon beach for the privacy but you will have to hike to get there in St.John. Coki beach is not for kids and mature adults. Only thing we liked was the snorkeling. Everytime we turn around someone was trying to get a nickle and dime from us. Locals there have no respect for tourists (cursing, gives you the go to hell look, smoking weed, yelling etc.)
The guy we rented snorkel gear from was polite and helpful.
Also shop at Moe's grocery for just about anything you need. Eating out was expensive but if you choose wisely you can save money, especially if you prepare meals at the villa. Be sure to get a case of bottle water to put in fridge so that you can help conserve water for the home.
Weather is awesome considering we are from Texas. We were really surprised by numerous restaurants were closed till mid October. (Reason is peak hurricane season). We Texans dont close till its on our backdoor.

I have to say this was our best getaway experience we had so far. Glad we picked this beautiful house for our vacation. First of, Rob was very kind and friendly in the beginning. He met us at the airport and guided us to the location. The place was very neat and super organized. Having a swimming pool was a big plus. We basically spent most of our time in pool on hot days.
If you consider going to St. Thomas, This is a house you need to book with no doubt.

A “Magical Caribbean Gateway to Unwind and Relax” is the perfect way to describe your stay at High Blue Heaven!!! The pictures are amazing but it’s even better in person!! The ocean breezes up in the hills, made enjoying the deck and floating in the infinity pool the highlight of our trip!! We grilled out and did drinks at the house several times and it was an amazing way to enjoy the sunsets! We recommendation a sunset dinner at the Fish Bar Restaurant, some cold beers & terrific home cooking at Brooks Bar after relaxing at Megans bay, and definitely do happy hour & pizza at Island Time Pub at Red Hook Marina!
We did an awesome half-day snorkeling trip on the snorkel cat out of Margaritaville, and did a great sunset dinner cruise on a catamaran out of Frenchman’s cove in which the “Painkiller” rum drinks were flowing!!!
Rent a jeep wrangler because of the road conditions and inclines and take it on the car barge over to St. John. Stock the cooler and chairs from the house, on St John, stop at Provisions coffee shop and get some of their terrific sandwiches for your day exploring St John! Plan your trip to St John when cruise ships are not docking, so you can enjoy Trunk Bay uncrowded, it’s beautiful! Or explore some remote & amazing beaches, like Lienster bay or Coral bay! High blue Heaven is 5 star plus and we will be back for sure!!! The property manager, Rob was great, he met us at the airport, guided us to the place, and was accessible all weeklong!

This was our second stay and it did not disappoint. The owners are extremely responsive and accommodating. I cannot overstate how much I appreciated their efforts to help us book our stay.
The villa is located close to Megan's Bay and (one of our favorites) Udder Delight. The amenities truly elevate the experience. We spent time in the pool and on the patio. The kitchen allowed us to make breakfast at the Villa. Having a washing machine on site is really a convenience. We spent days at Coki Beach, Megan's Bay, Cinnamon Bay (St. John) and Virgin Gorda.

This place was absolutely amazing. We would have rated it 10 stars if that was an option. Rob and Katie were great to work with and owners quickly responded to any questions I had beforehand. We were in the pool as soon as we got back each day. Toured St Thomas, St John and Water Island. Definitely rent a Jeep as they aren’t kidding about the roads! This made our 30th anniversary one for the record books!

My family and I had the very best stay. It was the first time visiting St. Thomas for most of my crew. High Blue Heaven couldn’t have been better. So thankful we came across the property on our search. The view—- Oh my! Nothing like it. You have to experience it in person to even understand. The house was clean, we felt safe and just beautiful all around. I talked to the iguanas every day as they laid on top of the trees. So cool! And I was thrilled to see a parrot our last day. He was beautiful! The pool was the highlight for our family! If we didn’t want to experience all the St. Thomas and St. John has to offer, we would’ve been happy at home for our entire stay! The owners were wonderful from start to finish. Very responsive, helpful and gave awesome recommendations. Kate was great too. Our favorite restaurants were Brooke’s Bar and Greengos. High Blue Heaven is One of the most beautiful places my husband and I have stayed in all our travels!! I agree with most reviewers that said the pictures do not do justice!!! Everything is there that you need for beach and everything is there if you want to stay and lounge in the pool all day. The trade winds were wonderful and we did not need to use any air conditioning in the rooms. Beds are super comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook , along with a nice grill. Heated pool was a must , it’s gets cool at night and later in the day. The grounds are beautiful, with the orchids in the front and we watched at least 7 iguanas bathing on the trees!
Katie was wonderful! She made it easy for us to check in and stocked our place with some groceries before we arrived for a reasonable fee, which made it easy to chill when we got there .
The location of the villa is just minutes away from any destination on the island and just maybe 3 minutes down the hill to beatfiful Magen’s bay, and also close to some quaint little bars and restaurants on the way to the beach.
This is my 3rd time coming to the Virgin Islands and I have to say , I thought nothing could compare to my last trip to Tortola, but I was wrong. This place is amazing! I want to come back! Thank you for sharing this piece of Heaven with us.

We enjoyed our week's stay in St Thomas. The island is small and we drove to the far side of the island, took the car ferry to St John.
Several days were spent at High Blue Heaven enjoying the pool and balcony views.
Other days we drove to a variety of the island's beaches. Magens Bay Beach and Smith Bay Beach were clean and uncrowded. Be sure to pack the chairs provided in High Blue Heaven and everything will be great.
