About this bed and breakfast
Newly renovated Luxury 1830s Victorian 2 story camel back house is a perfect blend of old and new character. No expense was spared restoring the home to its original status and retaining all of its charm and character. I have been fortunate to have received feedback from friends and family who have stayed at the house that this is a true "home away from home experience". The house has original 12 foot ceilings, large windows, french doors and 150 year old heart of pine hardwood floors through out. Crown molding, picture molding, original brick chimneys and ceiling medallions blend effortlessly with the 1830s light fixtures in the living room and dining room. A modern gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances add the necessary modern convenience. The bathrooms are appointed with wanes coating and mosaic marble tile flooring/marble tile shower enclosure with jetted tub in the master bedroom and traditional subway tile with jetted tub in the guest bathroom. Designer light fixtures, custom furniture and original artwork featuring local and old world artists complement an eclectic design aesthetic. All bedrooms are large with walk-in closets in the master bedroom and master suite. There are 1 king size bed, 1 queen sized bed and1 queen sofa sleeper and 1 full futon sofas that comfortably sleeps 6 guests. All bedding and linens are luxurious with soft 1000 count Egyptian count sheets. The private bricked courtyard is surrounded by lush mature bamboo and trees and can be assessed at the side of the house or along the side gallery from the kitchen foyer. The is a gas 2 burner grill and bistro tables for out door dining options. There is a surround sound system in the living room with ceiling speakers in 5 other spaces through out the house allowing music to be adjusted to the individuals preference. Wireless internet/cable with HBO is accessible to 4 smart Samsung flat screen TVs placed in the living room and each bedroom. Electronic front door keypad/camera security system makes access to the house convenient and safe. A sprinkler and fire alarm system has been added to protect my home The house is a licensed 2 bedroom bed and breakfast with the 2 bedrooms rented to 1 group at a time.. I can accommodate most guest requests with stays from 3 nights to a 30 day rental. The entire 3 bedroom house can be rented for a monthly lease as a traditional corporate rental.

We loved our stay at Burgundy House—a perfect long weekend getaway for a two or three couples who want to enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer. The house is clean and cool (great AC!), with fantastic amenities and a lovely garden area for evening wine and hanging out. Steps from great restaurants, bars, and even a coop grocery store, the house was the perfect home base for seeing music on Frenchman Street, hitting St Marks for some art, or exploring other neighborhoods. Don’t stay in a hotel in New Orleans when you can live like a local at Burgundy House! Owner Ron was super communicative and had great recommendations for local food, drink, and hangouts. We’ll be back next year!

We have been to New Orleans many times, but this place is the best one we have stayed in. Ron and Paul were very helpful, and we were able to walk to many nice estaurants and shops.

I am so happy we chose this beautiful and immaculate home for our stay in New Orleans! It's located in a charming peaceful residential neighborhood, with a cafe, bar, and restaurant steps away from the house. Frenchman Street is only a 5-10 minute walk. I felt very safe here and the house was even better in person. Ron was quick to address any issue we had, and I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone.

The house is even more lovely than the pictures! Ron, the owner, was super helpful to make sure we were settled in ok and had all the local knowledge we needed to make the most of our time.

Ron was a perfect host! Was always available to answer questions when we needed and got us situated with the house as soon as we got there. The location was a bit further from the French Quarter than the maps suggests but that is on us so plan accordingly for that! Otherwise the neighborhood was great and the suggestions given to us of places to check out was great. All said we had an amazing time and the check in/check out process was so smooth! 5/5 in everything!

Wonderful Property
The pictures posted don't do this beautiful, clean home justice. Coming "home" to this house, after exploring the city, was a highlight on its own. The aged wood floors, vintage light fixtures, and artwork hung all accent the beauty of this home. It was the perfect place to spend a week with our family. You will not be disappointed if choose to stay here. On top of it all, Ron was the perfect host. He was informational and quick to respond when we had a question.

Awesome NOLA Trip
Place was GREAT, Paul the property manager was very helpful, and got back with me in a few questions we had, about check-out procedures, and Tips for our stay. It was completely amazing.

Spacious high quality house with lots of privacy
Stayed during Mardi Gras. The house was more than enough room for our group of 6 and we loved the high quality finishes and use of the courtyard out back.

All the character you could want!
This place is amazing! I couldn't be any happier with my first stay in New Orleans! Ronald was very accommodating and helpful. The house was beautiful! I had a group of 8 and it worked perfectly for us.The rooms were immaculate. The back porch/patio and balcony was my favorite part. It was nice to enjoy breakfast out on the patio. The neighborhood was perfect and had a ton of character. Perfect for walking to French Quarter, but not staying actually in it. I loved the nice touch of the 'before' pictures of the house before it was remodeled - a serious undertaking! The only thing that may have been negative was completely out of Ronald's control: the neighbors are a bit unfriendly and cold - they also have a sign right on their gate expressing disagreement with short term rentals (directed at this house I assume). However, that was the only unfriendliness we ran into our whole trip and I couldn't have been happier with this rental! Thanks so much!

Absolutely amazing house! Location was good.
Beautiful house! Very accommodating for a large group over Thanksgiving. Comfortable beds. Responsive and helpful host. The neighborhood was ok. It was convenient to many things...location was a little sketchy...acceptable during the day...after dark be more cautious.

Great house, great location
This is the second time I've rented this house and the second time was as good as the first. The house is very roomy and all the rooms are well appointed. The house has all modern conveniences and is way better than staying in a hotel. Communication with the owner was seamless and everything went smoothly in regards to access or any questions. The location of the house is great, if you want to get away from the craziness of the French Quarter. There are lots of options for bars and food within a few blocks of the house as well. Marigny is a great location for your home base and you are in walking distance to Frenchman St as well as the French Quarter.

A great space with amenities
If you have a large party it's easy to spread out in this spacious town home. A location that's easy enough to walk into the French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods. The rear patio and balcony is an added bonus in great weather.

A lovely little house
The house is in a really unique neighborhood very close to many attractions. Everything is clean upon arrival, the owner is thorough and available. The beds are all incredibly luxurious and we had morning beverages on the patio. All in all a place where I would be happy to stay again.

Comfort and class in the heart of Marigny.
This home is absolutely beautiful. Every detail adds to the overall experience! First of all, the location is stellar. My friends and I traveled to New Orleans to celebrate my 30th birthday, and this home provided a comfortable, classy home base within walking district to Frenchman Street, the French Quarter and other restaurants around the neighborhood. We loved Cake Cafe and St. Roch Market, both a 5 minute walk from the house. I'm impressed we ever left the house- it was a vacation in itself! Plush bedding and fabulous goose down pillows, living and dining space that allow you to imagine settling in forever and a beautiful courtyard for drinking coffee in the morning and wine at night. Ron was a gracious host and upon arriving made sure to inform us of every last detail about the house/where to find things. I would most definitely stay here again, and I WILL be back to Nola. There is not enough time to see/hear/taste everything in one trip!

Beautiful and well kept! Perfectly charming and accommodating
We have never been to New Orleans before, and this property was the perfect getaway home. Conveniently located and spacious, we were able to make lasting memories without any hassle! The house was amazing and the host, Ron, was very welcoming and helpful, even though he was out of town during our stay. We will definitely be booking this property again in the future :)

Wonderful stay at a lovely home
Such a gorgeous house! It was beautifully appointed with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed having morning coffee or evening cocktails in the lovely yard. We also really enjoyed the neighborhood - perfect for taking advantage of the proximity of Frenchman Street and for enjoying some local flavor. We walked to the quarter every day and it was a lovely, very manageable walk. Great cafes, bars, and restaurants available right in the neighborhood as well. Ron was a gracious host, very accessible and helpful. Loved everything about it, and would definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and clean, and a great location!!!
Our family stayed at this lovely location 3/15-3/19, 2017! Ron was a superb host before and during our stay!! He was helpful with any questions we had before/during our arrival and answered any questions in a very quick manner!! The property is absolutely how it is presented online, actually it is even more spectacular!! We really enjoyed the outdoor patio area!!! All beds were very comfy!! The set-up was perfect for our group of 3 couples, and we were able to use the pullout sofa bed for our son as well!! I highly recommend this property --- it is clean, beautiful, and in a superb location!! Thank you!!

VERY comfy!!!
Seven ladies enjoyed this home recently, and our first impression was really Ooooh, Aaaahhh. Very nice accommodations: beds were top notch and we all slept well, amenities were top quality and supplies were generous. Being New Orleans, we didn't cook in the kitchen more than to make coffee and pour cold milk onto the cereal, but we certainly could have done more. We spent the coldest week of the year there so didn't avail ourselves of the lovely back yard - maybe someday! Our host was anxious to please, and we bugged him enough to find out. Really.... I would stay there again.

Perfect!
I spent New Years Eve Weekend with a group of 7 adults at this wonderful property, and recommend wholeheartedly. It is a beautifully renovated house that has all the modern amenities that you would want, with all of the old charm you would expect in an 1830s property. The location is fantastic, we walked to Frenchmen's Street, The Roch Market, and even Walgreens on several occasions. We hit semi-regular status at Marie's Bar on the corner. Ron was out of town during our stay, but checked in with us regularly and was always available by phone or text. We appreciated the extra touches such as surround sound, stocked coffee and water, the tasteful furnishings, and luxery finishes. If you are searching for a home away in New Orleans, this is you place!

Ron was an excellent host, very attentive and knowledgeable about New Orleans. Our flight was delayed 3.5 hours so we didn't arrive till 10pm, and Ron still met us at the house and gave us a much needed welcome gift. The house was fantastic, my wife said it was the nicest rental that she's ever stayed in which means I won some brownie points for finding it! It looks like we've found our go to rental for New Orleans, thanks again Ron.

Highly recommend staying at this gorgeous home on the western edge of Marigny/Bywater. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures, if not more. Tastefully decorated with all brand new amenities - the entire house is even wired for sound! Short walks to Frenchmen St. and French Quarter. Ideally suited for a group of 6-10 people. Will stay here again next time in New Orleans!
Not enough can be said about Ron (owner). Welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. He genuinely wanted our group to enjoy his home as much as he does.
Special Note: Ron has a close friend, Chef Jeff, who does private catering and larger events. As our stay was during the height of 'crawfish' season, we asked Chef Jeff to host a 'crawfish boil' for our group. The event blew our expectations away - we ate our fill of delicious, authentic Cajun cusine (crawfish, gumbo, sides, desserts, etc.). It was an amazing experience!

WELL … what can I say? This had to have been the best “FIRST VRBO experience” that I could have possibly wished for!
From the initial first contact with the owner of this beautiful property, right on throughout our stay and beyond, this “Marigny Jewel” has been a downright winner.
Ron’s gracious home was extremely well located for our stay where we desired a close proximity to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street without being right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. A mere seven to eight minutes brisk walk and you could be in Frenchmen Street with numerous local bars, cafes, restaurants and grocery supplies being a short stroll away as well.
One couldn’t help but eagerly anticipate the opportunity to stay in this stunning home after viewing all of the photos of the accommodation online. Countless times I had seen photos of other properties (and then experienced the accommodation) which had “promised much but ultimately failed to deliver” BUT the photos of Ron’s home, even though alluring, have simply not done it complete justice. TRULY, it is even BETTER and MORE LOVELY in real life and he has obviously spared no expense in the restoration, decoration and provision of quality facilities in this home for the total enjoyment of his guests! In fact, anyone familiar with the British TV series “Dr. Who” will understand when I say that this house was a “Tardis” … you would never have guessed from the generally small street presence of this home what expanse and wonders lay within!
Ron was the consummate host during our stay leaving us to enjoy his stunning property undisturbed BUT ever ready to assist our family with any issues or queries that we might have had. He went to great lengths to make recommendations for things like local eateries and attractions and it indeed was evident the passion and pride that he has in this home and in this vibrant city of NOLA.
All in all … an absolutely fabulous stay and one that my family and I would highly recommend to all concerned!!!

Ron and his beautifully renovated home made for another great French Quarter Fest for me & my crew. We have traveled in for 8 straight years for FQF & have stayed in hotels and rented homes all over New Orleans. This is the best location that we have stayed in yet. Not only is the house itself incredibly well appointed, but the location can't be beat. Out of the noisy Quarter, but close enough to walk. Near Frenchman & some great local places in both the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater neighborhoods. It's going to be tough to not come back here in future years. The bar has been set very high. Thanks for the wonderful accommodations, Ron.

We could not have asked for a better place for our group of guys to celebrate a bachelor party! The house is so nicely finished and you can tell alot of hard work and love went into the restoration. When the title says luxury, it means luxury. It's like a 5 star hotel!! There was more than enough room for all of us. The house has an awesome outdoor patio, ample indoor space and a full kitchen with the option to have a private chef! It is fully furnished with high end furniture, beds, and linens for 10! We had a blast walking around the area exploring the many bars and restaurants close by. We also walked to the French Quarter each day which is about a 15 minute walk. Ron was an awesome host and made sure that we had everything we needed for an unforgettable stay! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I rarely get away but we took full advantage of Valentines weekend once we realized a short "staycation" was doable! This gorgeous home perfectly placed in the quiet elegance of New Orleans' historic Marigny was more than perfect!! Luxury, charm, history and full of top notch accommodations are just the tip of this tall order home! We felt like we were hundreds of miles away in our own city experiencing all the comforts of home. Waking up to church bells or random brass bands in the distance, sipping coffee off the beautiful balcony, or simply admiring the architecture and fabulous art inside.... The perfect relaxing transformation we so well needed to escape our busy lives for just a bit. No Hotel or Bed and Breakfast in the city can compare!
On top of all the local beauty and awe of the address, it's only a few beautiful minutes from the perfect stroll to French Quarter shopping, dining and the city's atmosphere or better yet, the unique dining experiences in the Marigny itself.
I will stay again! I can't wait to stay again! What a Gem!!!
Thank you for a gorgeous experience!

We were fortunate to find this "jewel" for our New Years vacay. Not our first trip to NOLA, been there several times but wanted a more authentic experience for this special trip. This house is amazing, located in a quite, convenient neighborhood. Very secure, we brought our bikes and there was a gated area on the side where we could keep them. Form the moment we walked in, it was beyond our expectations. Very well decorated, loved the art and the furniture. Everything is so modern in the kitchen, and fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a fantastic meal (except the groceries) or just store leftovers from one of the many yummy restaurants that are surrounding this great location. It was only two of us but this place could easily be used by groups, three full bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Oh, and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever been in on vacation! There was even a nice small balcony upstairs to look out on a nice courtyard. Can't wait to go back and bring the family.

I rented this property along with eight other college students for a week trip to New Orleans. The house is beautifully decorated and a great deal of time has clearly been spent to make the house look as amazing as it does. We were provided with countless suggestions on local places to eat and visit! I have rented through many people before but have never received hospitality and suggestions that I received while staying at this property! The walk to the French Quarter is slightly lengthy but ultimately doable (about 30 minutes). We easily able to park along the street, leave our car there all week and work anywhere we wanted. Overall, this property was the perfect place to call home and return to for our week in New Orleans! I cannot suggest it enough!

This was my first trip to New Orleans, and the house was the perfect setting for immersing myself into the city. Because it was located right next to the French Quarter, we could easily walk to the French Quarter or to the By-water without trouble. The house was also extremely close to a number of cute little bars, restaurants, and coffee shops within the Marigny. All in all, its prime location facilitated a more authentic experience of NOLA, as opposed to something more touristy.
The house itself was beautifully renovated, with gorgeous high ceilings, impeccable interior decoration, and a refreshing balcony view. Walking through the door and truly seeing the place in person was breathtaking! The convenience and quality of the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom amenities were just an added plus. The owner was also the epitome of helpfulness--it was apparent that he knew a lot about New Orleans and was enthusiastic to share his experiences with us and help us get acclimated to the city by recommending good restaurants, good places to visit, etc.
I would 100% recommend this place to anybody I know. Staying here truly helped to make my New Orleans vacation perfect!

This home is indeed a jewel! The photos do not do it justice. As we entered, accompanied by the friendly and very helpful owner, my friends and I were taken aback by the grace and comfort of this fully renovated, elegant home. Soaring ceilings, period details, ample space for the 3 of us and FULL amenities are just part of it. And it was so peaceful and quiet!
Having only stayed in or near the French Quarter in years past, this trip was an entirely different NOLA experience. We did go to the Quarter, as it is an interesting walk over there. But we spent most of our time nearby taking in the local eateries and shops and a few bars and LOTS of music. On one awesome rainy day, we ambled around for a while and landed back at the house to relax and watch a couple of movies before heading back out. It truly felt like home.
Faubourg, Marigny, Bywater, Frenchman Street all have so much charm and character. We ate at Mona's on Frenchman (friendly service and great basic Mediterranean food), Mimi's near the house (great tapas and live music), the Ruby Slipper just down the road is awesome (ate breakfast there 3x), Maurepas in Bywater was fun and delicious, Who Dat cafe was fun and friendly, and the newly opened Second Vine Wine shop on Touro was very helpful! We also hung out at the Healing Center, visiting the vintage vendors, Fatoush Lebanese cafe and the co-op grocery store had all the stuff we needed. Had we known, we would have seen a play at the small theater nearby. Oh, and we stopped in at Buffa's for cocktail and live New Orleans jazz.
If you want to experience a more authentic New Orleans, this is the place. Friendly people, easy and walkable and unrivaled in character. Again, this home is a jewel and kudos to the owner for restoring it so beautifully and making it available. He was easy to reach, helpful and kindly answered all our questions. Trust me, once you're there, you will not want to leave!
