About this cabin rental
Snowhite is great for a relaxing getaway for couples, small groups or large families. The 1800 square foot open floor-plan means no one feels left out. The covered deck increases the living space in the summer even more with cozy couches to lounge on while looking out at the beautiful trees. Families - there is lots for the kids to explore inside when it's time to relax so don't worry about the lack of electronics. The third bedroom is huge and we decided not to load it with beds so it can be used as our family room. It has a closet full of games and toys, it's own tv and a kids video library. The house is located a small development with little traffic, especially mid-week. The Peter Pam area is adjacent to the Stanislaus National Forest so there are open spaces walking distance from the house to explore and hike. Check out our trip book for a little map of trailheads.
The cabin is located in a small quiet division called Peter Pam. Easy access to highway 108 makes it a quick trip to anywhere you want to go. Mia's restaurant is just a few minutes drive for a great traditional dinner, or watch them spin your pizza and catch up on sports. It's just 5 miles from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and the Pinecrest Lake area. Twain Harte, which is 10 minutes down the hill, offers local charm, a golf course, restaurants, a playground, mini-golf and a community swimming pool. There are lots of rivers and lakes to explore, hiking, horseback riding, and even ice skating in the winter. Check out our day trip guide in the cabin for our favorite "locals only" spots.
Internet: Starlink Highspeed Wi-Fi. No more sluggish satellite dish here. Woo hoo!
Driveway: Our driveway is plowed in the winter and the walkway is covered. There is plenty of level parking just steps from the house and steps from the road. Easy in and out for quick start to the slopes.
Allergy Friendly: Hardwood floors, honeycomb blinds, washable carpet squares and few nick-nacks give the house a clean, breathable feel. We also have an electric air purifier on the upper floor should you need it.
Playroom toys: There really is something for all age groups. Large train set, zhu zhu pets with large buildable track, bin of K'nex, play kitchen, dollhouses, dress up, puzzles, games for all ages and baby toys.
Yard: The yard is level with a very slight downslope. Easy for building snow forts and snowmen. The kids often try to make a little sledding slope down through the trees. It's fun, but safe enough because they can't really get much speed if they stay in our yard.
Decks: There is a covered deck off the main floor. There is currently a swing and a hammock swing attached to the ceiling for the kids to play on. In the summer we add two couches for relaxing.
Weather: While we always hope for positive weather conditions for our guests, but cannot refund due to conditions you may see as unfavorable - including lack of snow or a possible heat wave.
Blackouts are a common experience in the mountains as well. Our home has water, heating and a stovetop that runs on propane. We provide candles as well. Bringing a few flashlights is recommended, as it's been impossible to keep them in the cabin for guests - they get misplaced and the batteries tend to run out when you need them.

Very comfortable stay for our ski trip at Dodge Ridge. Floor heater worked great for keeping the house warm. Hot water was not an issue. Internet connection is good for the area. Bed mattresses were firm. Host was very responsive to e-mail prior to stay. We had no need to contact the host during the stay. Close to Dodge Ridge. Super close to the Cold Springs Gas Station/Convenience store and to Mia's restaurant.

House was very spacious and well equipped. Communication with the owner is also excellent.
Kids had a lot of fun playing in snow outside, making snow forts and snow caves, playing snowballl fights and making snow fun. House has shovels and sleds too!
It was close to Dodge Ridge. So overall family and friends had great time.

We appreciated the variety of bed arrangements, which we needed with a group ranging from young children to grandparents. It was nice to have the upstairs playroom for the kids while also having the open kitchen, living room, and dining room downstairs for the adults while we made dinner. We're excited to come back and already have two more weekends booked here!

We had a lovely experience at your place. It was clean, had a lot of things at the house to keep us busy. Would love to stay here again next year! Cheers.

Arrival was super easy. Lovely home. We really liked the stay. Not sure if place wasn’t used so accumulated dust had to clean up a little but besides that was great weekend would definitely love to come back here. Location was nice really close to our destination. Big house kids loved it!

My family was in the Pinecrest area for a ski race at Dodgeridge Mountain Resort.
It was a 15 minute drive to park at Dodgeridge. Very convenient!
The cabin is spacious, clean and great for families! We loved our stay and will be back.

Beautiful home
The home is lovely and has enough toys my girls went crazy. Ping pong table and a swing out on the patio. The neighbors were nice and going for a walk was just what we needed, homes are gorgeous and people were nice.
The cookware was old and everything burned, there was no oil or spices (which I didn't think to bring) so we had to buy all of that as well as toilet paper because there wasn't even a full roll in each bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and the time we spent with my sister and her 3 kids who are much older before they all go off and start their lives

My family and I loved our stay during Christmas week at this quiet cozy cabin! We celebrated my sons 4th birthday where he loved playing in the driveway and behind the house in the snow. The swing on the covered porch was a fun surprise too! The owner was quick to respond and very helpful when one issue came up. Beds were comfortable and everything was as advertised. Only thing that could have been better, were the toys were very unorganized to the point where my little one couldn’t really play on his own and I had to sort through many bins to find pieces of toys that worked together. In all we loved our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Dodge Ridge ski trip
This was a beautiful place to stay, very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of firewood to enjoy, and even thoughtful enough to provide little fire starter blocks to make it easy. :)
Library of nostalgic children’s movies on vhs tapes and dvds upstairs … lots of fun!
Cellular coverage in the area is spotty, but wifi in the house is great for keeping in touch or streaming music through Pandora app on the TV. Internet connection is through satellite dish though so bandwidth is not great — doesn’t really work for streaming videos online. But hey, we come to the mountains to get away, and we don’t want to spen all our time on the internet anyway. :) :)

The property is very well set-up for families- we appreciated the toys, provided baby gates and the thoughtfulness of the set-up for family groups; with two young kids, the home felt very safe and welcoming. The house is close to Pinecrest, which makes for quick travel to the lake. The information for the property was easy to understand and very complete. All of our questions about the property were answered quickly and the owner was very easy to work with. We would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed for three weeks. The cabin is more house like than country cabin, which meant nice kitchen and bathrooms. Loved the garage space, covered decks, plentiful parking, and of course, the location.
Would suggest updating the downstairs couch and outdoor cushions. Very uncomfortable as you sink to the floor when you sit.

Great house near Pinecrest lake
Spacious place with plenty of space although we didn't need it for our small family. The host was great and responsive. The travel guide they prepared at the home was great and very helpful for us to plan our activities. The only down side which applies to the entire area was that there was no cell reception and the internet was super slow reminding me of dial up. It's no fault of the host as its expected up in the mountains and probably a good thing to disconnect for a while. The house is close to the major road going to Pinecrest so you do hear cars and trucks drive by when out in the patio. But the have a weber propane grill which was great to make steaks and hamburgers..

2nd Stay!
This is a great cabin for a family getaway! It’s clean and comfortable and has all the basic supplies provided. . It’s close to Dodge Ridge and Pinecrest Lake. The kids enjoyed the play room and all of the videos. The kitchen is well stocked and has lots of counter space to make meal prep super easy. Anne is great to work with. We will definitely be back next year!

Lovely Stay! Better than pictured
AMAZING STAY! Honestly the pictures does not do justice with how spacious this home is!
All photos matched as advertised. Anne is a wonderful host and very responsive! I will say the directions you get from her at first is overwhelming, but when you read it a second time, it makes sense (like making sure you keep the thermostat at "c" because any higher it WILL BE TOO WARM!).
The kitchen is FULLY stocked and while Anne does preface, "when in doubt, bring one out", I found I overpacked. The only thing that was missing was dish washing soap for the dishes, but it's a minor detail since there's a dishwasher and be ended up bringing our own.
The kids' room is a HUGE bonus if you have little ones. There are a TON of toys that is in a closet you don't see. We ended up having to put a lot of the toys up high to reduce the clutter we'd have to clean at the end of the trip :). But it's so wonderful the kitchen play area, game boards and 100+ Disney VHS movies available to watch.
WE LOVE LOVE LOVE this VRBO and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Family Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! Everything was clean and nicely maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed and we really appreciated the fact we were able to just bring our groceries and prepare all of our meals there. Our grandkids loved the toy room and played there for hours. Anne was fabulous to work with! She answered emails promptly and gave us all the info we needed prior to our trip. You can tell that they take pride in their home. We will definitely be back!

Nice house, but uncomfortably hot, very convenient and near Pine Crest Lake
This house was spacious, the deck area was lovely, kitchen convenient, many toys and wonderful outdoor swing. But, when we arrived the upstairs windows were all open and heat was intense, no AC and it stayed very hot all night. Sleeping was very difficult and uncomfortable due to extreme heat. No screens on the sliders so had to close at night. Too hot in dining area to eat in the evening. If we return we would consider May or June, September or October but definitely not July or August. We did appreciate being close to Pine Crest Lake.
