Money well spent

The scenic views out at the jacuzzi area made waking up well worth it, as we would always go out after breakfast and sit by the sunbeds enjoying Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock

We were a bit disappointed we weren’t able to get our hands on the honeymoon suite during our 4 day stay, as it was fully occupied. We were really looking forward to it

Outstanding Ambience

This hotel is very charming. The welcome at reception was lovely with a small welcome refreshment including coriander soup and a vegetable canape. The staff were very welcoming and eager to please. Our room was quirky and well-appointed with a spa bath and lovely view of the well-manicured lawn and mountains. There was the same outstanding view from the restaurant, the lawn and the outdoor spa bath.

The room needed some minor maintenance. The tap was not fixed firmly to the basin, the shower leaked and one of the bedside lamp globes flickered. The first morning we ordered breakfast from the menu and the baked goods that were served contained too many sweet pastries for my personal taste.

Location was excellent

Everything was just showing signs of west and tear. Fan didn’t work jn the bedroom, grout in bathrooms has mould on it, and spa bath was super hot or cold.

High quality in everything, highly recommended

We stayed in one of the lower level rooms, which offered more privacy. The upper level had better views but were smelling a bit stale, so they let us pick the ground floor ones. Beautiful rooms, with all necessary amenities, high quality bedding, quiet and peaceful sleep. Food was great, we had our dinners at the hotel. But the biggest positive of this hotel was the service. Staff is amazing, very polite, well trained, and really going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Thank you! Also, to mention that this was the only hotel that offered accommodation to our driver which was great for him.

Exceptional

Definitely the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at with the most aesthetic views to be enjoyed from the garden. The hotel also maintains a nice vintage feel to it, I feel I'm walking back in time with the lovely jazz music and beautiful artwork that decorates the many corridors of the hotel.

the hotel was good Sri Lankan not worth visiting.

breakfast was good better than most

price as in most of the hotels I booked in Sri Lanka were over priced for quality and service. this is a country that needs tourism and its very expensive place to visit in general,. it needs a another 10 years to get to a place worth visiting. currently I think its best left for backpackers looking for long cheap stays

Not worth at all. They charge over $ 250.00 but very limited options for breakfast and lunch. If they want to charge a guest a premium $$, they need to provide value for food.

Food could have definitely better for the price they charge.

Excellent position in lovely Ella, great staff, lovely grounds, attractive foyer and restaurant and awesome views. Comfortable bed, good shower.

Room furnishings could be more comfortable for seating.

Exactly, the best one in Ella. Amazing view, clean and well designed rooms and very delicious foods. The suggestion is you to try Jacuzzi in located garden.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Amazing location.

Such friendly kind staff. I'd love the recipe for coriander soup they gave as we arrived!! Such magnifacent and large portions of food! Gorgeous breathtaking views. Beautiful smeel as you enter the lobby. Perfect location. 2 minutes walk from town centre yet far enough that it's serene and peaceful.

I think if they fixed up the driveway leading to the hotel front door it would lift the first impression. But that's not important nor vital.

Beautiful, tranquil hotel with amazing views and friendly staff.

This is a beautiful hotel. You can walk into the Main Street in a few minutes but it is set back and hidden so you don’t it feels completely away from everything. It overlooks both Little Adams Peak and Ella Rock and the restaurant provides stunning views. The rice and curry (a nine dish voice) was absolutely amazing. The staff are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. We had the pleasure of watching 2 no Hesse play outside our room.

It was all fantastic!

Good location (quiet, comfortable room and bed, beautiful setting.

Great location within walking distance to restaurants, but still out of the way and quiet. Restaurant offered a great breakfast. Views were lovely. Room very good (we were upgraded to super deluxe - thank you!).

Very good

Breakfast was wonderful and the views from the room was amazing. We got upgraded to a better room than the one we had booked and that gave us a much nicer bathroom and and even more incredible view. The hotel is easy to get to with a car.
