Really nice house, very clean. Daisy communicated well and kept us updated with things going on with the house. Would stay here again. Beautiful sunsets!

My husband and I joined our daughters and their husbands for a four summer vacation. The house was beautiful with two spacious out door living spaces. We enjoyed the cool breezes and gulf view. We caught and enjoyed blue crabs and walks on the beach. It was a great summer get away.

We enjoyed the beautiful beach home and quiet setting! We will be back!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. It’s right on the beach, which is private and we hardly saw anyone there all week. The bedrooms were roomy, comfortable and clean. The deck was fantastic for sipping morning coffee and watching for dolphins. We had a fantastic week & highly recommend this house.

We loved our stay at Daisy's place. The house was spotless and well stocked. We had everything we needed, and indeed, the beach is right out the back door. The sand was clean and great fun for building castles, digging holes, watching crabs and shorebirds and dolphins, flying kites, and walking the surf. It also looks like it would be ideal for fishing. However--and I didn't see this information in any of the other reviews, and I feel like it's important to know--the beach in front of the house isn't great for swimming. The bottom is sandy for a few feet, then drops off into thick, sticky mud that is easily churned up when it rains. Maybe that won't bother your kids, but mine didn't love it. Luckily, there are good swimming spots close by--Front Beach in Ocean Springs has a sandy bottom and stays 2-3 feet deep for quite a distance. It's great for even small kids. The nearby casinos also sell day passes for their pools. We also took the ferry out to Ship Island one day, which was a lot of fun but the sun was very intense. We burned even with 100 spf and frequent applications. (A long-sleeved swim shirt and shorts saved the youngest--highly recommended.) Otherwise, Ocean Springs is warm and welcoming with great food and cute shops. The Walter Anderson museum was terrific. TatoNut has ruined all other donuts for us. Overall, it was a delightful trip.

Absolutely loved this house! If you want some privacy while enjoying the ocean this place is perfect. The neighborhood is beautiful the town was straight out of a storybook. Can’t wait to come back.

Thank you for sharing your beach house with us. Our family had a great time. Saw some dolphins and enjoyed walking the beach. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our week.

We are a family of 8 from Missouri. We spent a week at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed this property. We spent all of our time soaking up the beach, playing, swimming, fishing and catching crabs. The location was fabulous. We were also able to take in a little sightseeing and shopping.

Enjoyed our stay and would like to stay again.

Lovely property that makes you feel like you're at home. Lots of privacy, but very close to downtown amenities. The house has everything you need for a successful vacation plus extras. The host is very curtious, and she goes above and beyond. My family and I look forward to future stays at Castaway Key.

Just a group of friends over 60 enjoying some quiet surroundings and each other’s company for a few days. It was good for us all to get away from our every day lives and relax, laugh, and forget everything else!

We were able to stay at Daisy’s place and drive to the places we wanted to tour. Bellingraff Gardens, Bayou La Batre where part of the Forrest Gump movie was filmed, Orr and O’Keefe Museum in Biloxi, Walter Anderson Museum in Ocean Springs with shopping in Ocean Springs. The architecture of St. John’s Episcopal Church attributed to Louis Sullivan was also a treat. We could go back to our waterfront cottage

The house was exactly as advertised.
Very well equipped, could of used a upper deck exterior table and chairs.

Castaway Key is a lovely home right on the beach. There is no public access to the beach so it is quiet with just a few people using it. The house was tastefully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware, glassware and cookware (with the exception of sharp knives - I sharpened them without success.) all the appliances were newer and worked well. This was our fourth extended stay VRBO in Ocean Springs and was by far the best. One downside is it is located somewhat far from downtown OS and the other is the steps make it challenging for an elderly semi-disabled person.

It was an amazing week. Everything we wanted & more. From watching the pelicans, Blue Herrings & yes dolphins, all from the front porch or our lucky spot, the kitchen window. The kids, 14, 21 & 24 all enjoyed themselves. The amount of good places to eat was incredibly enjoyable. Everything we did was just a short drive away & after getting the lay of the land, usually a beautiful drive! We will be back!

The property is very nice, I do suspect that a cleaning service is used. There were candy wrappers on the table and the front breezeway and door needed at least wiped down. The property is in a great location and is very peaceful.
No complaints only a couple suggestions for improvement.
Great stay!

We love it!

Our family had a great week staying at this property. The location to the beach was perfect and just steps away. The deck with the beautiful views of the ocean was my favorite spot! Nearly every evening was spent on the beach and deck viewing the amazing sunsets!

Had somewhat of a good time. It was a bit far from everything. The beach wasn't what we expected. A bit dirty and water was not clear. Nice relaxing vacation.
4.9
We so enjoyed the porch on this property! Watching the waves, wildlife and one night of lightening over the water were the highlights of the week!
4.9
Property is nice and has lots of activities for families.. sand toys and kayaks, crab traps and fishing poles, books and board games.

We loved it. The house was perfect and the location was amazing! Thank you so much for letting us stay and we hope to visit again!

We brought our six kids on vacation and this house was perfect! Beach was quiet and not crowded. The house was perfect for families with kiddos. Kayaks, life jackets and toys for the kids! House was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items should you want to cook. Our first night the ac wasn’t working properly and Daisy had someone there super quick to fix it! Couldn’t be happier with our stay here, we only wished we would of booked longer!!
4.9
The family absolutely loved the property, it was very peaceful. The house was clean and the views breath taking. Native wildlife graced us daily with early morning visits from dolphins and afternoon visits from multiple species of birds.
4.9
The house was beautiful with just a few steps to the private beach. The deck was perfect for relaxing and watching the dolphins in the morning come up so close to shore!! My son caught some fish with the poles provided. We loved all the beach toys provided.
The cons (which aren’t even a big deal) the water is yucky brown. Some people know this, others may not. Also it washed up lots of different things, which is probably pretty common for most places: but during our stay, it washed up a piece of board with nails in it -right next to where my kids weee swimming, I’m assuming from the docks that are still left from the hurricane aftermath. (Obviously no fault of the owners)
Also, My husband said the ceiling fans were dusty and under the beds needed cleaned- HOWEVER, the rest of the house was very clean.
My one recommendation would be to keep the grassy area cleaned up and maybe widen the walk path a little. The grass was a little taller that I would have liked - which made me nervous thinking of gators hiding in there. The neighbor told me there had been some recent sightings of one on the beach; so always be aware, especially with kids. Otherwise the stay was perfect. Would definitely stay again!

Iur house was just as we expected. Would stay there again.

This home is a dream. Beautifully decorated and just perfect for enjoying the gulf breezes. The sandy beach was lovely and we were out there everyday.
Owner has exceptional communication. Daisy is the best.

This was our second stay at Castawaykey..and I wondered if booking it again would or could measure up to the first time. Primarily a girl's escape for me and my daughter and our homeschooling but again, it was so much more. Large uncluttered light-filled rooms with beautiful views and the back deck with an unmatched view of the gulf! Seagulls, cranes, hummingbirds, mockingbirds that awaken you each morn to the spectacular promise of a new day, pelicans, squirrels, rabbits, sand crabs running to and fro, and finally, on our last day...the dolphins made an appearance! My daughter danced on the beach to the music playing in her head...no earphones, just her inner music...she wrote messages in the sand...to find the next morn that some mysterious beach-walking neighbor had left a message for her.."please perform a dance". Castaway Key is hidden between the wooded bayou and the gulf. Two worlds meeting. The full moon gleaming over the ocean at night... awe-inspiring! The storms blew in, dissipating just as quickly as the sun peeped out again as if two days in one. We watched "On Golden Pond" during the storm... often stopping to "experience" the feel and smell of the storm and pounding whitecaps on the deck. We felt safe, private, and so very cozy and free! We cooked what and when we wanted in the large, fully accommodated open kitchen. We shared poetry by Mary Oliver. It came alive with meaning from Castaway Key!

This house was amazing. The views were beautiful. I love being on the beach but I love peace and quiet. This home checked all of my boxes. Me & my family will be back real soon...

Very nice accommodations, comfortable, private and beautiful, right on the beach.

The house was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The back porch was great for drinking coffee and relaxing. One of my favorite VRBOs to date

We absolutely loved this property for the amazing views, fishing, beach time, and privacy. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It was the perfect place to gather life long friends from different states for a vacation.

Our stay at Castaway was excellent. All amenities were provided to make our stay comfortable. Beautiful views from the deck of the house and a very comfortable porch to sit on to listen to the waves. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and eating at the house. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ocean Springs.

Enjoyed our stay very much at this wonderful property with gorgeous views.
4.9
This is a beautiful home in a quiet and very private area. We loved the large covered back porch for viewing the sunsets. Walks along the beach are literally a couple dozen steps from the house. One does need to understand that the waves are very small and the water is an opaque brown along the Mississippi Coast as compared to the clear water and bigger waves of the Florida panhandle. This is reflected in the difference in price between the Mississippi Coast homes the panhandle. But everything is a trade off. If privacy and no crowds is your thing this is a great place to visit. The king bed is super comfortable, a queen bed super firm, and the other queen bed is so soft it's only appropriate for children.
