The house was adorable, and designed to accommodate a family or group of friends/couples, with an impressively stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood,

Nice residential area that is an easy walk to OSF. It was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 5 adults. The stairs are a bit steep for people with mobility problems but there is one bedroom downstairs. One suggestion: update the furnishings throughout. They are a bit tired.

On our annual OSF trip, enjoyed several plays, lots of walking around town and the park, shopping and dining. We love Ashland and this house was a perfect fit for the 6 of us.

The house was centrally located. We only used the car once to go to Emigrant lake. We were able to walk to the theater, restaurants, the co-op and downtown. It was so convenient.

Very clean & comfortable! Location is great. One suggestion is adding a chair in each bedroom. Easier to sit down in a chair than on the bed to put on slacks, shoes, etc. Loved the kitchen.

The house was in a great location, once we arrived we didn't have to access our car for anything (even groceries) until we were ready to drive home! All the rooms were big, the kitchen had everything you might need.

Great spot for a much-anticipated girls get away weekend! We walked wherever we needed to go and never had to drive anywhere. Cottage was very clean, had comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well equipped. We plan to return next year!

The house was in a very cute neighborhood walking distance to downtown. The house itself was perfect for a large group to gather, chill out, and cook. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and the rest of the house was in good working order. There are several cafes just around the corner and the main downtown center is also minutes away. Perfect homebase for a theater vacation.

This is the second year we have stayed here for our family reunion. It is conveniently located close to the theater and
Ashland co-op. It is very clean and well equipped with all the essential kitchen applience plus and outdoor grill and outdoor seating.

Having rented many VRBO homes, I must say this property was one of the most perfectly delightful I have stayed at. With 7 friends gathering, this home had everything to make our stay so comfortable. The back patio for outside eating and the front garden area for outdoor relaxing, provided wonderful environments. The large kitchen area was perfect for group cooking. The house was wonderfully supplied with all the furnishings you could ask for. And of course, it's perfect location in a quiet part of historic district within walking distance to downtown and Shakespeare festival could not have been better. I could go on and on providing compliments to this location.

My family and I stayed here during our visit to Ashland. It was perfect for our little kids. There was a small yard for them to play in safely.

Welcoming, comfortable, roomy --for 5-- well-furnished, uncluttered, major appliances in good working condition, small comfortable enclosed outdoor area, in a walkable pretty neighborhood, easy walk to downtown.
Did not communicate with property manager, except to say we were leaving. Would have liked to be welcomed to ask questions ahead of visit.

We were able to host Thanksgiving on Friday for 10 at the house. Had to get a little creative with table arrangement but we made it work. Loved the location - we usually stay at the other end of town.

The Blue Hyacinth Cottage was very clean and well stocked, there was lots of room and we used the large kitchen for cooking. We liked the location and walked to the OSF Theater, shops and restaurants.

Great spot for 3 generations to convene and explore Ashland. Close to downtown so even the dawdlers could walk everywhere. Appreciated the responsiveness too from the host. Thanks for a nice weekend.

I was extremely bothered that there were roach traps in the kitchen. Also, half of the light bulbs were out, those on the porch were ALL out. When we arrived the cleaning lady we weren’t due until the following day.

This was the ideal home for four friends coming together to enjoy Ashland. It’s walking distance to the main part of downtown, cute, quiet and has a well appointed kitchen. We were delighted with it. And thank goodness for the AC since it was 110 degrees in Ashland!

Lovely house, great location
We had a great experience staying at Blue Hyacinth! We were greeted by a mother deer and two adorable fawns. The house is pretty, comfortable, well appointed, and in a great location to walk just about everywhere in downtown Ashland core. Plug for Noble Coffeehouse just down the alley. Thank you!

Great house in a fun neighborhood.
Blue Hyacinth had all the amenities: a well-stocked kitchen, cute patio with BBQ, well furnished bedrooms and comfy bathrooms. Easy walk to the theater, groceries, and great restaurants and shops right in the Railroad District. Loved it and will definitely return!

Fantastic Place To Visit Ashland
This lovely home has many great qualities going for it. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with short walks to everything we wanted. It has excellent amenities, A/C and Heat, Coffee Maker, relaxing outdoor seating areas, perfect bed/bedroom sizes, large bathrooms with excellent facilities.
The neighborhood is lovely with 1 min walks to breakfast/espresso spots, and a 5 min walk to the amazing Ashland Food Coop. All of the downtown shopping, restaurants, and OSF Theatre districts are excellent and short walks as well.
Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Lovely House in convienent location
This is a modern house tucked into an alley within easy walking distance to downtown Ashland. It has a large kitchen (enough room for 3 persons to work) with all the mod cons, good sized bedrooms and baths and a dinning table that seats 6+. There's only 1 parking space on site, but lots of nearby street parking.
It is a great space to stay when visiting Ashland to see plays.

Great Location
Had a weekend away with friends. Perfect location for walking to a show, shopping, and food. House was comfortable and had great outdoor spaces for relaxing. I would book again.

Great house for groups.
We were very comfortable at this unit and enjoyed the separate bedrooms. The location was good for walking to the theaters, and wonderfully close to Ashland Co-op. It's also pretty close to the Bear Park Greenway for those who like to ride bikes. A couple of negatives: I texted the phone number given to us for any issues we might have, and just got radio silence. One of the lamps wasn't working, and there were very few hangers. The parking space for two vehicles (one space for another unit) is tight if both units have large vehicles, as it was in our case. But there issues aren't enough to keep us away, we would stay there again.

Great House, But Poor Climate Control
The house was perfect for two couples and a single adult. Only two complaints: the climate control for the second floor was terrible: too hot on the first very warm day, better on the second much cooler day, but then suddenly full blast heat about 3 a.m. with no thermostat change. Although there is an appearance of air conditioning, it did not work. Second small issue: the tiny TV was not set up properly and the picture did not fill the screen.

Great house in great location
This house was perfect in almost every way. It is easy walking distance to the theater, big clean rooms, good AC system.

Fit our needs perfectly
Great location, walk to Oregon Shakespeare Festival and downtown. Quiet street, nice outdoor spaces for eating and lounging. Very clean on arrival. The kitchen is not equipped for serious cooking, but probably adequate for most. We wished there was more than one dishtowel, trash bags that fit the kitchen trash bin (there were bags, but much too small) and that the Swiffer in the kitchen had any dry or wet cloths so it could be used! Without those it was very hard to keep the kitchen floor clean, as we were cooking for a crowd. Ended up using a washcloth from a bathroom, which was suboptimal. But overall a great property and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Comfortable bedrooms and very good air conditioning (a must in Ashland in summer months).

Negatives: The listing says sleeps 10, however we were charged an "extra guest fee" for having that many in our party. For two of the four nights there were only two of us, so I twice requested an adjustment in the charge but never got a response from the property manager. The house is actually two little apartments connected, but this isn't mentioned in the description. This makes the flow a bit strange. The housekeeping service was still cleaning when we arrived, so we were kept waiting in the alley for 20 minutes - this caused us to be late for an engagement. The upstairs tub had debris in it. There was only one hair dryer provided. The front yard is lovely, but the backyard patio area is not maintained. Parking is inadequate - there is a garage and an extra space, but renters are not allowed to use them. Obviously, if the place sleeps 10, there will be more than one vehicle. Positives: The location is perfect. The home and front yard look quite charming.
