About this house rental
This classic Montauk A-frame that sits just steps away from its own private beach on Lake Montauk will make a memorable family vacation. Build a huge fire in the outdoor wood-fired grill or on your beach and spend days lounging without crowds in lovely Lake Montauk. Or just watch the water from our 1,000 sq ft deck. Make fabulous feasts in the kitchen outfitted with a viking stove and Le Creuset cookware. Order oysters from our oyster farm partner (you can see the Montauk Pearl Oyster Farm in the water right out the window). It's classic Montauk living at it's best. We have a double lounger on the beach with chairs and umbrellas. Drink coffee in the morning in absolute privacy on your beach staring at the sun coming up, make bonfires at night watching the the quiet, huge lake at sunset. We have two SUP's, a floating dock in the water and 3 kayaks for afternoons spent exploring. Take the kayaks across the lake to Gosmans or one of the waterfront restaurants. Or take our beach bikes to the beautiful Gin Beach right down the road.
The house is Montauk simplicity at its best with four bedrooms, a bright open kitchen and living room all facing the water. We modernized the house with a new kitchen, bathrooms and a wraparound, large outdoor deck. Our hand-built outdoor firewood grill sits next to our outdoor dining table on the lawn (seats 12) and is perfect for huge lobster dinners ordered from our lobsterman friend, Andy, fresh off the boat.
At sunset, you'll feel like you are floating on the water that surrounds the bright, open living area. At night, sit by the large stone fireplace or out on the deck. Or have a bonfire on the beach fire pit!
The main bedroom has a queen bed, private bath and entrance from the deck with ample closet space. The two back bedrooms each with queen beds have beautiful light and a chic, simple decor. The children's bedroom has a bunkbed.
Spend days reading on the secluded beach or take a nap in one of our many hammocks. Or just enjoy the sounds of lapping waves from the chaises on the deck which always catches a westerly breeze coming off the lake--no bugs! Washer and dryer, outdoor shower and plenty of outdoor areas to play, eat or nap.
It's perfect for families--you'll have plenty to do with a large lawn for croquet or badminton. Take the paddle boards and kayaks across the lake for lunch at Gosman's or explore the sea life along the shore. The beach's shallow water is great for children. For dinner just walk down the beach at sunset to Rick's Crabby Cowboy or the Inlet. Charter a boat at the marina down the beach and catch Striped Bass which you can eat all week long. Gin Beach, Montauk's prettiest beach is just down the road and Ditch Plains, the best surfing beach is just 2.5 miles away. Build a fire in the beach fire pit and cook hotdogs and s'mores as the sun goes down. Go to sleep with the sound of the water lapping at the shore. It's really dream-like.

This was our second stay at this wonderful property! Location is perfect! Private, beautiful lakefront but still close to town and the point. Host Brandon is a pleasure to deal with. Already booked for next year and hope for years to come!

We stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was the perfect spot to have some peace and quiet with my husband before the crazy of the wedding day. Day of, it was the perfect spot to get ready (great natural light!) and take beautiful pictures (the lake is just our back!). Every family member who stopped by complemented how great the space was (everyone said ‘great find!’ and we were completely happy with it. It was also just a short drive away from our favorite restaurant, inlet seafood. Would absolutely stay again!!

The Perfect Getaway
We were 2 moms needing to "run away "from home and the city for a few days. So we made a spontaneous and quick escape with took our "pups." We couldn't have picked a more perfection location to just relax - sip morning coffee on the deck, lounge, nap or walk our dogs on the private beach, and cook simple meals in the well equipped kitchen or on the grill.
The house has a very traditional “beach house” feel with a beautiful view of the lake. It was was just delightful … inside and out. Oh … the fireplace … we had a roaring fire every night which made everything perfect! We would unquestionably recommend this home to families, friends, and couples who would like a relaxing home away from home by the water. The sun was out every day, and though the temperature was very cool since it was the off season, we can only imagine how much fun it is in the summertime.

Great break from the city
Amazing views coupled with fireplace made this home very inviting. Had some great seafood in the surrounding restaurants and had just what we needed to make a meal for ourselves as well.

Girls weekend
We went in winter and it was cold !!! No worries we had a beautiful view so it didn’t matter that it was freezing out. Enjoyed our cozy fire and the house was warm even with cold winds. We had great weekend catching up! We used fully stocked kitchen and slept in lovely warm inviting beds at night. Thanks so much !

Absolutely Incredible
This home is beautiful and opens up to some spectacular views of Montauk lake. It was a perfect family vacation and while we had planned to explore Montauk, we found it hard to leave the house at it has a beautiful little beach, cute back yard and perfect living room and kitchen for being together. Again, the views are incredible. We are already planning our next trip back!

It was magical to look out over the water while enjoying coffee in the morning...we enjoyed the fireplace both nights and found the property to be perfect. The beds were so comfortable and the location was ideal. It was a great weekend.

Perfect long weekend
This lovely home was exactly what we wanted for our big chill weekend. Perfect location on Montauk Lake, great beach vibe furnishings , cozy house with a great fireplace which our host kindly stocked with firewood, comfy beds and the back porch overlooking the lake was EVERYTHING! Highly recommend!

Gracious owner - beautiful views
Some hiccups when we first arrived but Brandon took care of them right away. Beautiful location, comfortable beds and a fireplace stocked with wood were enjoyed by all as were the fresh oysters provided courtesy of the owner. A relaxing place to ring in the New Year and again, Brandon was extremely accommodating - allowing a late check out and waiving the pet fee.

The house is perfect for a family and friends on a long weekend trip. The location is beautiful and the house is set up well to hang. The host was very helpful and accommodating. Promptly reached out to me once booked and stayed in contact through our stay.

Fantastic location could use some care
Great location. Private beach with SUP and Kayaki , fire pit bikes BBQ. chairs and loungers at beach. Very nice accomodating host!
The house is dated ( I usually like that look - but never felt clean) it can use a deep cleaning. and quick coat of paint. Spider webs in all corners , dead bugs between curtain and windows - windows screens dirty with prints . Refrigerator had a nasty order. All pots pans utensils have seen better days. Wet laundry in dryer - There were only two bath towels till I found the wet laundry in dryer. --
You can tell it was surfaced cleaned - needs just a little more.
Essentials should be there -- My family was around an hour behind us - House around 4 miles from town. I wanted to get set up before everyone got there. I fully expected to need to run to town at some point - There was no toilet tissue in the house - I couldnt get settled in -had to go to town
Biggest problem the deck- My husband needs assistenance walking . The deck near outside shower was rotting and dangerous. We had to go around the other way to get to the beach. --which was a lot of walking on un even grass for him.
Be nice if they had a first aide kit - my husband did fall on uneven grass and I did have one bandaide with us.
With a little care this house would be more than five stars!

Amazing Family Getaway
The house, grounds and location was just perfect. Our girls loved exploring the lake and swimming out to the floating dock! It was such a relaxing, private piece of paradise. The owner has created a comfortable, chill and welcoming environment. We loved having the SUP and kayaks available for use. The beds were super comfortable too which made us very happy! We would definitely come back!

Paradise Found in Montauk
I rented this home for a girls' weekend in Montauk, and I could not have been happier with it! It was perfect for our group in terms of location (absolutely gorgeous), size, and comfort. My only "complaint" is that we didn't get to spend more time on the property! Thank you Brandon for a perfect stay!

Such a peaceful and beautiful stay
I booked this house for a girls get away. The pictures don’t do anything for this house, it’s a beautiful property right on the water.. we went for a nice dinner and wanted to just get back to house.. had nice fire right on the water and never left.
The owner is so accommodating and cool. Any little thing I asked they were so quick.
The mornings were beautiful in the yard or on the kayaks. Can’t recommend this house enough!

The best host
We have had the most amazing time here in montauk. Brandon and her family were simply gorgeous and could not have been more generous - in spirit and in giving their precious time to us to ensure we had the best stay. The house is completely perfect in every single way and was far more idyllic than we could ever have imagined. What better way to wake up every morning than on the lake kayaking! Beautiful sunrises too.
We loved every second. This was a birthday trip for me and it has been really, really special.

Can’t wait to come back
We loved our stay here. Our only wish is that we had stayed longer. The property is comfortable for groups and easy to relax and cook in. We had choices of hammocks or grills and spent the days outside and by the water. Brandon was easy going and we are so grateful for our time in her home.

The home was beautiful and comfortable, open plan perfect for entertaining. The view of the water perfection, large deck with partial coverage . Hammock in the yard calls for a nap. Bedrooms are nice, bright and comfortable . The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed are stay can't wait to come back.

Perfect getaway to relax
We rented this house for my husband and 3 of his friends as a “dadmoon” before our first baby was born. Though it was too windy to surf, everyone had a really great time. House is amazing, location is great and the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Would recommend and hope to be back again when the weather is a bit warmer.

Winter Weekend Perfection!
We booked our trip as a last minute Super Bowl Weekend getaway. Though it was cold, we could not have asked for a better experience. The house is lovely; equipped with everything you will need. The grounds are beautiful, with the peaceful lake as your backdrop, beautiful sunsets and the simplicity of nature all around. Brandon was EXTREMELY helpful to ensure we had access to the Superbowl on television and that our stay went as smoothly as possible. She offered great suggestions and was so accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will be booking this home again in the warmer months. Oh and our dogs fully approve as well!

Serene with Breathtaking views all day and all night!
We were welcomed by beautiful Monarch Butterflies fluttering around a butterfly bush with purple blooms. Birds were gathering as well on a fantastic ornamental tree.
So much parking and once you entered the house you immediately
are spellbound by the view of Lake Montauk.
The weather was perfect with gorgeous sunsets to our right.
Brandon mentioned we could walk about 100 steps along the shoreline to Ricks Crabby. We did that twice.
Although our group went to the Ditch a few times during our stay, there was still so much time to SUP, Kayak and enjoy the calm waters of Lake Montauk that her private beach offered.
Nights offered a cool breeze, fires on the beach and star gazing.
The house is fantastic, and well laid out. We were able to comfortably entertain some friends for an outdoor dinner, as well as grill nightly.
Finally, Brandon was very accommodating, answered all of our questions and made us feel very welcome. Thanks for the oysters!
