Sol y Luna is located in beautiful 'Sueno Real', a gated 10 condo unit, at the end of Paseo Punta Santa Cruz, overlooking the principal bay 'Santa Cruz', the cruise ship pier and two of the favorite beaches in the region.

Sol y Luna features a large living area with high ceilings, marble floors, granite counter tops, stylish decoration and among the most beautiful views in Huatulco. One of the few places in Huatulco where you can see the sunrise and sun set from your balcony and terrace. Enjoy your morning coffee (locally grown) while watching Santa Cruz wake up. If you are in luck, a cruise ship will dock in front of you. The evening brings you spectacular sunsets over the mountains. In between, you can explore the many beautiful beaches, or if you prefer, lounge in the beautiful infinity pool.

If you decide to leave the confines of Sueno Real, taxis are plentiful and inexpensive (less than $2.00 into town) or an easy 15 minute walk into either Santa Cruz or las Crucesitas.

Stylishly decorated penthouse condo with an incredible view of the Santa Cruz Huatulco harbor from decks on two levels. The host, the property manager and the staff were incredibly friendly, kind, responsive and helpful for my first-time trip to this area. The property is private, with on-site parking and security. It's just far enough off the busy streets of La Crucecita to be peaceful while minutes from anywhere you want to visit or if you need something quick from the grocery store. I will definitely be visiting again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dan's place. He was super helpful prior to our arrival with recommendations in the area. The condo is stunning. The view is exceptional. You are just a short cab ride away from awesome restaurants, beaches and groceries. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to make a nice meal at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for an unforgettable relaxing vacation!

Dan was an excellent host and the property was in a very convenient, safe location. Perhaps the best view in Huatulco. The property crew was gracious and helpful. Loved that the property was gated, didn't have to worry about parking our car on the street. The condo was clean, well provisioned and nicely decorated. When we asked Dan for more comfortable furniture, he happily provided 2 chairs that were comfortable to sit in. The AC in the bedroom was quiet and made for a good night sleep. During the days, there is a wonderful breeze that keeps the condo cooler. The pool was lovely. From time to time it felt crowded because 1/2 of the pool is only 18" deep so everyone would be in the deep section. But we were able to work around busy times if we wanted less social engagement. The other residents were friendly and fun to talk to. We very much enjoyed our stay for work and pleasure.

We want to come back! The condo was even better than we excepted! We met a lot of wonderful people that were also staying at sueño real. The views are amazing! We spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool talking with other guests and watching the boats and people down at Santa Cruz bay. All of the people working at the condo are nice and helpful, and they keep the place very clean. The location is great, with an easy walk down the hill into town or to Playa Santa Cruz. Taxis are easy to find and cheap, so you can get back to the condo if you don’t feel like walking. If you go to the end of the road, there is a trail down to a small beach with a well stocked bar. We rented a scooter for a day and it was so much fun to whizz around town and all the way up to Maguey bay, the light house, a bunch of other beaches, and down to La Bocana. La Crucecita is a lot of fun, and we walked down there almost every day/night to eat at all sorts of restaurants. We also did a tour up to Cascadas Mágicas, waterfalls that are definitely worth seeing! It is about a 1.5 hour drive up. We were with a mom and her grown son from Mexico City, and our driver. We became friends immediately, even though they spoke Spanish and very little English. I used my Spanish pretty much the whole vacation. It helps a lot to know even a little bit of Spanish, but you can get around if you don’t know any. They appreciated that I spoke Spanish well. La Entrega has great snorkeling! Perfect vacation!

The condo was even better in person. Beautifully decorated and ever so comfortable. The property manager went out of her way to be helpful, answering our questions, arranging for taxis and restaurant reservations. The terrace looked out on the marina and cruise ship dock so there was always interesting activity including the towns New Years Eve fireworks show to watch without lleaving the condo. Loved our stay and so hope to return soon.

We found everything at the condo to be just as it was described. We were quite comfortable there. The office attendant Priscilla went above and beyond to help us with everything we asked……even getting dental appointments needed due to an unexpected issue. The location and view are awesome!!

Beautifully built condo high on a hill overlooking the Marina. Well appointed, great communication with owner and staff. Taxi never more than 5 minutes away for 35 pesos. Exceptionally clean and grounds well maintained!

Overall we had a very nice stay. Everyone that was involved was very pleasant. Dan was very helpful in giving us information about our stay ahead of time. All the staff on site was very helpful. We had a very unique surprise on my birthday when i woke up to an earthquake :).

The other reviews are spot on and the listing is accurate, everything was as expected and this is a very nice condo in a very good location. Dan was exception in answering our questions and was quick to ask how things were going or to give advice on where to go or eat. We did a day pass to Secrets just to see what the all-inclusives in that area had to offer and it just confirmed that we are condo and local restaurant kind of people and Sueno Real was a great choice for that.

We only booked a week at Sol y Luna because we had never been to Huatulco, and wanted to ‘try it out’. The suite was spacious, very comfortable, and had a great, panoramic view. Priscilla, the on-site manager, always greeted us with a smile. Security and support staff were the same, and made calling a cab a breeze. I LOVED the pool. The beach at nearby Santa Cruz with mild surf allowed me to go into the ocean for the first time in long, long time. (Note: lots of beaches with surf if that is your preference.) We had mixed experiences with dining out, but if we were there longer we would have figured out which places suited our palate best. We have been so very lucky over the years as our VRBO hosts or property managers have consistently been very good. That said, Dan Thompson is hand’s down the BEST. He was patient and quickly responded to my rookie guest queries. Oh, and when we went for dinner at a place Dan recommended, and we told them that we were ‘Dan’s friends’ - my goodness, you would think we hobnobbed with royalty. Service and food was great that night, that’s for sure. ☺️ The driver that Dan recommended was excellent; knowledgeable and friendly with good English, and gave us a great tour of the area. I regret to say that there IS a negative, and it is a big one that I don’t know how we can get past. Sol y Luna is already booked in the time slot for when we wanted to come back! Have you ever found something so good that you don’t want to share it? Well, this place is it! However, we will share because it’s a truly amazing place. Our host Dan and his wife were so nice. Dan was extremely nice to deal with via email and texts and once at the place, he met us and showed us around. It’s fortunate that he lives at the complex too and always asked us if things were good. The property was very comfortable and the view is spectacular. It’s very conveniently located to Santa Cruz (10 min walk) and the on-site 24 hr staff/ security will order you a cab for rides into La Crucecita. A helpful guide and chats with Dan pointed us in the right direction for restaurants etc. We will be back and for longer next time as one week wasn’t long enough. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your piece of Mexican paradise.

This is an impeccably managed small condo complex consisting of 10 units all facing Sant Cruz pier and beach. There is a mixture of owners and guests staying here. Full time staff to, take care of ever need. Beautiful view from the deck overlooking the pool and we’ll appointed condo. Close to everything. My only complaint is I wish we were staying longer!

We stayed at Sol y Luna the last week of April 2022. Unknown to us, this is their hottest time of the year, yet we were quite comfortable at Dan’s place. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom but the fans in the living area also kept us comfortable. The pool was also a welcomed respite. The condo complex is very quiet, though you can hear the “goings-on” of Santa Cruz bay. But that just adds to the vacation feel. We were able to walk to Chedraui for groceries and we did occasionally walk into La Crucecita for dinner. We usually took a taxi home, but again, we were there when it was quite hot. With slightly cooler weather, this is a very walkable location. Taxis are super cheap, so we used them quite often! Cecelia and her staff at the property were always pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay at Sol y Luna again! Thank you Dan!

This property is located in a small complex along with 7 other units and 2 villas. The location affords stunning views of the bay and surrounding area and you never seem to become desensitized to the beauty no matter how long you stare at it. We met wonderful owners and guests during our stay and the majority of the time we had the communal pool to ourselves. The complex itself (Sueno Real) is a cheap and short cab ride to numerous beaches, excellent restaurants and a large grocery store (Chedraui). We had met the owner, Dan, on previous stays at Sueno Real and from the beginning he has always gone out of his way to be welcoming and helpful. You could almost call him an ambassador for the complex. We finally got the opportunity to stay in one of his condos and it did not disappoint. It is well appointed and the views from the numerous balconies and rooftop are incredible. I really can't say enough about how amazing the condo, Sueno Real, and Huatulco are in general. Thanks again Dan. Hope to see you again next year.

One of our favourite vacations yet. Dan is unbelievably knowledgeable about the area. He gave us the greatest recommendations for restaurants and places to shop for groceries etc. The unit was equipped with everything. People there are fantastic. Lots of memories.

If you want a romantic getaway, I can't think of a better place. The layout is perfect with your private balcony overlooking the harbor and what's great about this specific unit is that there's a second upstairs balcony for star gazing or watching sunsets. It's truly beautiful.

We stayed at his property over New Year's and the location couldn't have been more perfect. Spectacular views of the harbor were great to watch boats coming in and out. A quick cab into town was only minutes away.The property is small and quiet. We appreciated never worrying about getting down to the pool to reserve a lounger. Many times we had the area all to ourselves. The unit itself was very well equipped and quiet as well. It is up a flight of stairs which would not be suitable if you had a mobility issue. You do hear the noise from the nearby beach area if you are sitting outside but that was okay. No noise kept us up at night. Staff was helpful with anything we needed. Would consider staying at this property again.

The property itself is spectacular, from the reception desk Cecilia to the housekeeping staff, security staff and the gardeners everyone is there smiling and welcoming.
