About this house rental
This romantic, Spanish get-away is situated near the foothills of Pasadena, 15 minutes from the famous Rose Bowl, Rose Parade, Rose Parade float viewing area and Old Town Pasadena.
Built in 1931, this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has been renovated to feature modern amenities without losing its old-world charm. This truly is your own private resort with a completely private backyard. The master bathroom has just be renovated to the highest level of design. In addition to three bedrooms there is a pull out bed available to you im the living room. You truly won't want to leave this Hacienda! The reviews tell it all.
For the coffee lovers there is a Keurig coffee maker. Prefer a latte or a mocha? We also have a Nepresso expresso machine with an frother.
For the chefs, there is a double oven, All-Clad cooking set, and anything else you would need to cook a wonderful meal. You are welcome to any of our spices that you may have forgotten to pick up at the store. Our kitchen has everything you will need. Want to BBQ? Well you're at the home. There's an outdoor built in BBQ hooked up to a gas line so you will never need to worry about your gas tank running low. The gas BBQ is the top of the line BBQ from BBQ'S Galore.
For the people who like to just simply pick up a book or drink a glass of wine with a loved one your hardest decision will be choosing the space. There are so many wonderful spaces to choose....sitting area by the outside fireplace, lounge chairs by the pool, dining table by the pool, dinning table in the courtyard, outside living room in the courtyard with a brand new gas fire pit that will keep you nice and warm in the cooler evenings or a cozy seat in the living room.
For those who love to hike, you are in the perfect spot. There are amazing hiking spots about a half mile north from the house.
For those who love a great nights sleep, the house has the top of the line Tempur-Pedic king size mattress in the master bedroom, top of the line traditional coil queen mattress in bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 also has a brand new heavenly bed mattress which is also a queen. The master bedroom also has an adjustable base perfect to watch a movie. All four beds have top quality bedding with down comforters, duvets and down pillows. You really won't want to get out of bed.
For those who love resort style living this is the perfect house. You'll have your own private resort complete with an outdoor fireplace, spa, pool, outside shower and bistro lights that makes you feel you're visiting a villa in France! Perfect for a romantic getaway or spending times with friends and family.

Some old friends got together to enjoy a weekend catching up, and watching a couple Red Sox - Dodgers games. We had a great stay! Kris was a very responsive, thoughtful, and helpful host, and we spent time relaxing by the pool and hanging out together in the beautiful back patio. It was a perfect home base (or "plate"...) for our trip.

Great stay in a nice and clean house. The pool was a hit with the kids and the house and neighborhood felt very clean and safe. Everything was as advertised and the host was very friendly and accommodating! We will definitely stay again if back in the area.

This property is gorgeous and exactly what it looks like online. We were in town to attend my Granddaughter's wedding and needed a place that would accommodate all of our needs for dressing for that special day and this filled the billed perfectly. My great-granddaughter, who was the flower girl, loved the pool and it greatly helped to keep her calm and entertained in the days prior to the wedding. The property grounds were so well groomed, too. Thank you so much, Kris, for responding in a speedy manner when I had some questions, I would recommend this property for anyone who wants to enjoy a "home away from home".

We loved our stay here! Kris was very accommodating and responsive in communication. The home was perfect for our family stay in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl. We enjoyed cooking meals both inside and out, took advantage of the fire pits and hot tub. Loved our walks in the quiet neighborhood and a hike in Eaton Canyon nearby.

We’ve found this charming bungalow in a real, quiet neighborhood to be a great base of operation for family discovery trips in LA.
This was my second stay with family.
To add to our previous review last year, we like having a coffee shop and a neighborhood breakfast restaurant within walking distance. On sunny days, we were poolside for awhile. The pool and patio areas are ideal for receiving visitors.
As to the exploration of LA, everything seems to be a drive, so Altadeena was fine.

This was my second time in this house. Very nice patio with a large outdoor table for 8 people. Great pool and hot tub which is very private, high walls prevent to be seen by other houses. Very sunny outside, several large umbrellas and nice outdoor furniture. Nice pergola adjacent to pool shaded.
Comfortable kitchen well equipped with indoor and outdoor dishes. Large primary bedroom and in suite bathroom. 2 other smaller bedrooms with a shared bathroom.
Great host, very quick response to questions.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a big birthday in this gorgeous, well-appointed home. Lovely pool, many comfortable outdoor seating areas, close to restaurants. Kris was very responsive and helpful in getting us set up. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic home in a great area, and was perfect for our family trip. My husband and I rented the home along with my mom and dad, so we could connect with family who live nearby.
The home is tastefully decorated, well laid out, and the backyard is such a treat!! With a pool, outdoor shower, grill, fire pit, and multiple seating areas, we spent most of our time outdoors. My niece and nephew (8 and 11 yrs old) came over to use the pool and they had a ball. We grilled, we lounged, we didn’t do much beyond that, and it was perfect.
The owner, Kris, is communicative, helpful and responsive. We are pleased with our choice to stay here and would do it again!

This property is charming beyond words. We couldn't convince our family to leave and explore Pasadena, because the outdoor area was so inviting! The kitchen is well-equipped; the beds are comfortable. Kris bends over backwards to check in and make sure her guests are taken care of. Thank you!

Kris' charming home is conveniently located, was super comfortable and the well equipped house and pool/patio area allowed us to decompress in our downtime. Kris was very communicative and helpful. This house is so lovely! The main living areas is cute and cozy while the outdoor space can easily hold a large gathering. The pool temperature was perfect (with having to heat it) and the spa was nice and hot. Kris was a excellent host very fast to reply. Could not recommend it enough👍

We returned to the LA metro area to celebrate graduation from a local university. Property is strategically located to multiple freeways for quick and easy access that enabled us to travel to areas where we used to live and enjoy our favorite restaurants. It was just as easy for friends from across the region to join us for barbeque reunions and take advantage of the spectacular courtyard, pool, spa, cabana and outdoor grill. Beds comfortable, kitchen modern, tastefully and exquisitely furnished. Homie and quaint. Super quiet except for the beautiful bird chatter at the crack of dawn. An authentic gem!

Our family of 5 wanted to take a quick trip to LA to see family and friends. We chose this beautiful property because of the location and outdoor living space. The weather was too cold to enjoy the pool but the hot tub was great. The house was very clean and had plenty of space for all of us. Kris was wonderful and was easy to communicate with. We had a great stay at La Hacienda. Kris was very responsive to questions. The house is beautifully maintained and comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. The outside areas (pool, spa, fire pits/fire place) were very lovely and enjoyable. king-size bed in main bedroom was super comfortable. Easy access to trail heads for hiking in the nearby mountains, which we enjoyed.

We booked this VRBO to watch our daughter march in the Rose Bowl parade scoring a perfect ten with the VRBO and the Rose Bowl festivities. Beautiful views and very close to great bars and restaurants. The courtyard, pool and patio was amazing and we found ourselves migrating to those areas when the weather permitted and we had downtime. We took advantage of the hiking trails and scenic drives! Our host was amazing with directions and recommendations. It was a little tight for the 5 of us but we made it work.

Ounce-for-ounce, one of the best vrbo houses we've stayed in.
Our small, multi-generational family group stayed for few days to attend a wedding, do some tourism, and relax in the sun. The house was well-suited for all that.
We felt as if we were staying in a Chip-and-Jo work: everything was so bright and comfortable. Two surprises were that the pool was somewhat larger and more fun than we had expected and the neighborhood was very quiet and beautiful, with a walkable coffee shop nearby. We were able to entertain two relative families with small children in a laid-back manner.
This house would also be suitable for a pure romantic vacation by a couple wanting a relaxed setting.

Loved the house! Came to LA area for a wedding, stayed here with 2 sisters and our spouses, the house was great along with all the outdoor living spaces. We had some o their family members that were in town for the wedding over 1 evening for a taco party in the backyard, evaded a great time and having the pool was great, it was pretty hot out for LA. Kris was fabulous to work with!

We had such a relaxing and winded stay at Hacienda de Pasadena. The house is gorgeous and the outdoor areas are wonderful. It was like having your own private resort to relax in the foothills of Altadena. The host Kristen is in contact with you and looks out for all of your needs. Home away from home!
We planned this trip to see the Rose Parade and picked this home for a variety of reasons (location, ability to accommodate all 7 of us, ease of getting around on parade day). This home did not disappoint. It was perfect!! I can't say enough nice things about the homeowner, Kris, and her family. We worked with them via e-mail for almost 2 years because we had the trip planned when COVID hit. Everything was postponed and Kris was willing to work with us without any issues. We had several communications the week we arrived that made us feel welcomed and relieved any travel anxiety. We also communicated several times while we were at the house with questions, etc. Kris responded quickly and addressed any questions. The home was exactly as listed and fit our needs. Well worth every penny for the peace of mind and positive interactions. The area is quiet and beautiful, but close to all the action. We drove into LA several days and it's just a short drive.
After staying in your home, Kris, you feel like family!! Thank you for everything.
