Private pool, four minute walk to beach! You will be delighted by the luxury of this spacious and centrally located home. The Great Escape has a private pool and courtyard and is a short four minute walk on the adjacent boardwalk from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Rosemary’s town center is just steps away.
The Great Escape’s three stories of living space comfortably sleeps 12 in its five bedrooms and has five and one half baths. The separate carriage house with its own full kitchen can be rented separately during the off season. The main house has a large front porch with Adirondack chairs and a swing as well as two second floor covered decks, one with a comfy swinging daybed perfect for afternoon naps.
The first floor offers an expansive living area with a new 55” HDTV and plenty of comfortable seating, a formal dining area with seating for eight, study/den with queen sofa bed that can be closed off for privacy (house sleeps 14 when utilized). The gourmet kitchen and breakfast area (which seats up to 12) includes a large refrigerator, Jenn-air six-burner gas cooktop, dishwasher, ice maker, wine refrigerator, oven, microwave, and is completely stocked for whipping up gourmet meals. The kitchen opens up to the beautiful courtyard featuring a Weber three-burner gas grill. This very private setting offers an additional living area with seating for six around the outdoor table and four lounges for relaxing around the pool. The pool features a waterfall and lighting at night and can be heated to 84 degrees at no additional cost. The main level also has a half bath and washer/dryer.
The second floor has three bedrooms; two king bedrooms with their own full bathrooms, TV’s, and covered decks and a kids bunk room with four single beds and its own bathroom. The bedrooms open on to a cozy seating area with it's own smart tv.
The third floor contains the master suite and is a relaxing retreat with king bed, sitting area, coffee/wine bar, and 55" smart TV. The master bath has his/her vanities and the large master closet includes a washer/dryer and beverage refrigerator.
The carriage house has a king bed, sitting area, full bathroom and complete kitchen with full size refrigerator, oven and stove. It can be rented separately during non-peak weeks. It is always included in June and July.
In addition to the private pool, guests of the Great Escape enjoy access to four community pools, eight clay tennis courts (fees not included), a walking trail and numerous playgrounds. The fitness center and spa, available on a fee basis, are nearby. The wonderful shops and restaurants are just steps away.
Please note that our home only rents Saturday-Saturday for a full week from Memorial Day weekend through the first week of August. The Carriage house is always included during that period which means the house can sleep 14. Spring break weeks are a 5 day minimum and can’t cross over two different weeks. Inquire to find out if we can make an exception to this.

Have wanted to bring our kids and their family to Rosemary for years… it finally happened and this “Home” was just perfect. The amenities, ( ice maker, wine cooler and EV charger, Dyson vacuumed ) were an added plus. Plenty of space for everyone to have their space and beautifully appointed. The pool, patio and BBQ were so fun to hang out at after a day at the beach or a quiet AM coffee and swim for the 3 granddaughters. Front porch and sweet swing were perfect place for those “ Christmas card” photos. Kathy the property manager went out of her way to help us settle early in the carriage house. We can’t wait to come back .

My family comes to Rosemary every year. This was by far the best property we have stayed at. The home is stunning. The location is perfection. The lay out of the home is designed so well. The pool is the perfect size. I literally would not change a thing about this house or trip. If you are looking for the perfect vacation at Rosemary, then look no further. This is it. Also, the owners and the clean up team are so kind and so easy to work with it.

This house was absolutely perfect for our first stay in Rosemary Beach. It’s stunning inside and out and was in the best location. The house itself had everything we needed for cooking meals (plenty of tools and oils/spices and was walkable to plenty of shops and restaurants for when we wanted to eat out.
Communication with the host was easy and they were super helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

Speaking of included bikes with the home, what makes this home a must rent compared to others (and we’ve been renting in the area for 15 years) is everything that’s included with home. All the stuff you’d like to buy at Publix but can’t really justify given the short term rental, this home has…from spices in the kitchen, to cleaning supplies, sunscreen, heated pool, 4 bikes, extra toilet paper, beach towels,etc etc. All of the comforts of your fully stocked home are available to you in this home. Highly recommend.

We loved this property! Great location, clean, and family friendly. Our young boys loved the buck beds and convenience of the pool in the backyard. There were plenty of beach towels, beach toys and chairs. The bikes were awesome too. It was a quick walk or bike ride to the beach. Around the corner is a coffee, shops and plenty of places for the kids to walk around. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was great! The house was perfect for our family, very clean, updated and just an overall great experience. The owner and property manager were attentive and helpful. The pool heater had been replaced the month prior to our visit and had an issue when we first got there. It was fixed within the first few hours. Overall 5 star rental.

Another great week at The Great Escape!
This is our third summer renting this property, and each year gets better! Thanks to the owners and Barbara and her husband who manage the property for making our summer vacations in Rosemary feel like home. The proximity to Walkover F as well as the square and neighboring beach towns like Seacrest and Alys make this location a great spot to stay!

Great Escape was an AWESOME place to stay with our family! We had a few hiccups with the storm blowing out the WIFI - but we managed. Access to the beach was easy & so enjoyable. If you have Verizon as your cell service beware; it gets bogged down. Rozee

Perfectly private
Even though the area is very popular, especially during peak vacation times, we were delightfully surprised at the quiet and serene neighborhood. The home was perfectly appointed, very comfortable beds and all the necessities available. There was even a fully stocked "spice and stuff" cabinet which made home cooking so much easier!

Absolutely Beautiful!
Our family had an amazing stay at Kathy home. It was very beautiful and our family had a great time being there. So much room for our family of 9. Everyone loved having a king size bed and plenty of room.

Great Escape Rocks
Great Escape is the perfect name for this house. It has everything you could want or need. The pool is an added bonus. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Communication with Kathy and the house manager Barbara was quick and easy. We will definitely go back !

This property has the perfect location! We loved the short walk to Kilwins, local restaurants and the beach. The home is great. We were a party of 12. Everyone had plenty of room. The kids loved being able to swim in the pool after a day at the beach. Home is well appointed and quite lovely! We would definitely stay here again!!

Spacious retreat in the middle of everything.
The house and pool were beautiful and perfect for all ages - we had 7 adults and 4 children under the age of 6, and everyone had plenty of space and activities to entertain themselves. The house was well-appointed with all sorts of amenities and the beds were comfortable, but the best thing was the location. It was easy to walk and grab coffee, shop in Rosemary, or walk to the beach, but also quiet enough that nap and bedtime were never disturbed. We had a great time and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay with a relatively large group in Rosemary.

Great week in Rosemary Beach!
This was our second year visiting The Great Escape home. Yet again, we had a fabulous week. The abundance of kitchen supplies and comfortable dining areas made for great family meals. The furniture and decor is very well-appointed and comfortable. The pool serves as a nice break from the beach and entertains the kids well who don’t always love to be in the sand all day long like the adults! Communication with Kathy and the house manager Barbara was quick and easy. I would recommend this getaway to anyone who asks!

Beautiful Beach vacation
With 8 adults and 5 boys ranging in age from 8 months to 15 years old, our family vacation was packed with fun. “Great Expectations” soared above our expectations in giving us a beautiful home to enjoy one another. We all enjoyed the lovely indoor and outdoor living spaces. Bedrooms were large with fabulous linens. The boys spent time in the pool after each day at the beach while the adults prepared scrumptious meals in the well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect for shopping, restaurants, and a quick stroll to the beach. We loved that bikes were provided! We have been coming to Rosemary Beach since 2014 and this is our favorite house! Thanks to the owners and manager for ease in communication! Hope to be back soon!

Great Escape is REALLY THE GREAT ESCAPE
Hubby, myself, 4 grown kids, their spouses and 2 grandkids stayed here very comfortably. House is laid out to easily accommodate families. Pool in backyard was big hit with all. Neighborhood was quiet and backyard was private. Easy walk to beach with path in front of house. We also had carriage house which was perfect for 1 couple. Kitchen was fully equipped for any cook. Location is 1 block from north barrett square of downtown rosemary. I was concerned about being located north of 30A but location was peefect. We walked to dinner or grilled every night. Close to ice cream for desert! Close to donut hole, shades grill, bug bad breakfast, as well as downtown rosemary. Downtown seacrest was about a 5 block walk and we went there to a pub several times. The only issue with house is that it has 3 floors with upper floors sharing 1 hvac unit. (First floor has separate unit) Although adequate at bedtime it had to cool off before we were thoroughly comfortable. The ceiling fans helped. We were here in may and temps were comfortable 70s and 80s. Might be issue in July heat. We would definitely stay again and loved this area. 15 min drive max to panama city beach. House has parking for 3 cars and parking passes for more cars on streets of rosemary.. Parking for 4th and 5th car can be difficult to find.

Perfect set up!
This immaculately decorated home was the perfect set up for two families w teens for Spring Break! Unlike most rental homes, the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. The location is in the heart or Rosemary, close to shops and a 5-7 min walk to beach. We used the grill, the porch, the carriage house, and the pool. This is our second stay in 10 years and it was perfect. Thank you so much!!

This location was perfect. 30 steps to the nearest restaurant, 8 min walk (with kids) to the beach and very quiet neighborhood (excluding regular maintenance noises). The layout of the house was perfect. We didn’t have to stare at our kitchen mess all day as it is a bit separated, but when in the kitchen you can still hear and see what is happening in the living space. The office/game room was a great closed door room for the children in the evenings as well. The heated pool was the cherry on top, filling every second of vacation with a 9,7,5, and 3 year old! Mrs. Barbara was the sweetest to work with and also has the sweetest heart. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

Lovely home with great location
Great Escape is a lovely, well-appointed home in a great central location at Rosemary Beach. Beach is an easy 2 min walk away, with shops and restaurants located just around the corner. The home was immaculately clean, with comfy beds, and a well equipped kitchen. Photos of the home do not exaggerate...it’s just as lovely as it looks with updated and tasteful decor and a beautiful sparkling pool. House also includes 4 bikes for cruising around 30A as well as access to all of Rosemary Beach amenities. Great Escape was a beautiful home base for our family vacation!

The house was perfect for our family. The rooms were spacious, many bathrooms, great kitchen, dining room and den. The pool was our central meeting place. Rosemary Beach was the best. Great weather and great beach.
