We had a great week on Cross Lake this year! Our kids and grandkids were out on the water and in the water every day: swimming, kayaking, boating, tubing, fishing, boarding. We jumped in a few times, too! The weather was hot and perfect for being in the water, but the house was cool and sitting on the deck in the evening or by the fire just ended the perfect day each day!, An eagle tends to watch over the water right outside the house, so watching the eagles each day never got old. The owners, Craig and Valerie, couldn't have been more accommodating! They have everything supplied in the home that we could have possibly needed, and the rooms are wonderfully decorated with beachy and seascape themes! Cross Lake is just one of many connecting lakes. We only cruised around a couple. Hopefully we can make Cross Lake our annual lake retreat tradition and keep exploring the White Fish Chain! Thank you Craig, Valerie and Erin for making 2024 extra special for our family's lake adventure!!

We stayed at Peaceful Pines for a week with my husband's family. We brought people from ages 11-77, and each enjoyed our time at this PRISTINELY maintained cabin! The kids loved kayaking, my mother-in-law had plenty of quiet places to read, and we loved all the fun activities there were to do both at the cabin and in town!
The lake is extremely clear, with a sandy bottom and no weeds! Close to restaurants by boat or car (or walking, for that matter!). Everything you can think of for entertainment is there; Craig and Valerie thought of it all.
Our entire family definitely recommends spending a week at Peaceful Pines! We made the best memories!

Our family of 10 had a wonderful week at the cabin.
Very clean, with everything we could ever need in the kitchen.
Very nice deck overlooking the lake with table and chairs which extends the dining area. Very nice fire pit area, Plenty of chairs there as well. The kids loved making s’mores almost nightly.
Very nice sandy beach that all enjoyed as well.
Don’t let the fact the property owner lives on the property as well. Great folks, and very helpful.
Simply put we really can’t say anything negative about this property. We are looking forward to booking it again for next year. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your cabin.
Sincerely,
Mark and Kay

The lake water was so clear and a beautiful! The swimming area was pretty much all sandy bottoms. We spent tons of time on the water and kids played in the sand right by the lake too. This cabin is in a great location, so close to shops, grocery store, liquor stores, and restaurants. The cabin is fully stocked with any and everything you would need. The only minor thing is there is no ac in the basement but did stay cool enough with lots of fans going.

Beautiful cabin! Fun and relaxing weekend!
We had such a great stay at this cabin. The grounds were very well kept and the house very clean. They really have everything you would want to have at the cabin - kayaks, paddle boat, tons of water floaties and noodles and lots of beach towels! We were able to use the powerboat lift for our fishing boat which was great and also there was enough space on the long dock to tie up our pontoon. The beach was very clean with a nice sandy bottom. The firepit up by the house was stacked with firewood for our first fire. The view was absolutely beautiful watching the sunset over the water while up at the fire pit. The owners were great! They are super friendly and available if anything came up. The location was perfect - a quick 5 minute car ride to the grocery store, but the cabin also was tucked back in the woods where there was no road traffic noise. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a cabin up in the Crosslake area.

Couldn't Have Asked for More!
We were blown away by everything. Craig and Valerie were amazing hosts. All they wanted was for us to have fun and did we ever. Nine adults and 2 babies fit nicely into the home and dinners on the deck were amazing. It was everything we were looking for and more. Clean, spacious, private - going back next summer!

Annual Family Vacation
Perfect lakefront cabin in the Whitefish chain for family vacations. Cabin was well stocked- kitchen & grilling supplies, plenty of beach towels, bath towels, and even things like paper towels and laundry soap. We had plenty of space to spread out as a group of 8. The deck and dock were amazing to watch the sun set every night! Craig and Val were very friendly and visited us several times throughout the week to check-in and chat :) As a Vrbo employee, I approve! Easy check-in/out, sparkling clean, and a lovely time!

Best VRBO rental ever!
Perfect in every way. Exceeded our expectations. Cabin, location, and hosts. We hope to come back. Kids loved fishing off the dock, and also below the dam, which is a short walk away. Adults enjoyed evenings sitting around the fire. Sunsets were beautiful.

Wonderful fall getaway!
We decided very last minute to spend a week “at the lake”. Craig was very quick to respond to my inquiry & we booked less than 7 days in advance. Craig called to see if we had any questions before we left & was there for anything we needed that week. He and Valerie greeted us our first night & are very outgoing & friendly. The cabin is was very clean & had everything we needed. The location close to Cross Lake is ideal. We used their fishing boat, kayaks & firepit almost every day, as we had the perfect blend of summer & fall weather! My husband & I went with our 27 year old son & my 78 year old father & everyone agreed it was a great week!

Cabin Vacation
Peaceful Pines is a terrific location on Crosslake within walking distance to the town. Sandy beach with fire pit and unlimited wood made for many evening fires and sunset viewing. We highly recommend renting a pontoon and discovering all of the lakes in the Whitefish chain. We suggest Manhattan Beach for a great dining experience! The kitchen is fully stocked. The beds are comfortable and the linens are super soft. Our hosts were extremely friendly, kind people and took care of any and all of our needs!

Peaceful Pines is an excellent place to vacation with your family! The views are spectacular.. We made all our meals and were not lacking for any type of kitchen supplies. The cabin was very clean and had very comfortable beds. Our grandchildren
loved the sandy area to play in and the swimming area was nice too. It was nice to have boat lifts to protect the boats. Valerie and Craig are the best host/hostess, they
make you feel so welcome and there for you if you need anything. We are looking forward to next years vacation at Peaceful Pines❣️

Peaceful Pines is the best
Remarkable! The location on Cross Lake can't be beat, especially with a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake. This was my favorite spot, any time of day. We also spent a good deal of time around the fire pit, talking and roasting marshmallows. Craig and Valerie kept us well supplied with firewood. We prepared every dinner in the completely well-stocked kitchen and never lacked for a dish, glass, or utensil. The beds were great, especially the master. Every room was spotless and tastefully decorated. We watched a little Netflix, but spent most of our time on the deck or the dock. Little beach in front is a plus for kids. We couldn't have found a better place for distancing in these upsetting times. A good walk is over the dam and into the campground. We could also walk to town. We recommend Grand Champion Meats for grilling items. We definitely want to stay here again.

Great times on Crosslake and the sunsets were a treat!
We stayed at the cabin with our 3 kids and brought our own boat (Fourwinns '19 ski boat). The owners where first class from day one. They let us onto the property as soon as it was cleaned and helped us get the boat on the lift for the first time. Criag and Valerie were very gracious hosts with excellent hospitality, and they also let you have your own space too when needed. The Whitefish chain of lakes are a very large body of clear water lakes with excellent fishing opportunities. We spent most of our time on the boat in the sun when we possible. The kids also enjoyed the paddle boat and the kayaks, which was good to see them having fun together. I also rented the fishing boat to get into those tight places to fish. The cabin faces west, and there are 2 fire pits ideal for fires and watching the sunsets. We would love to come back. Thanks again to Craig and Valerie for the excellent experience!

Another great vacation on the Whitefish Chain!
This is our 20th year vacationing on the WFC. Peaceful Pines came as advertised! Nice clean cabin with well-stocked kitchen. The beach area was very nice and included 2 docks and a boat lift. My 19' fishing boat fit well on the lift and our 24' pontoon worked well next to the dock. We really loved the campfire pit on the sandy beach while watching the beautiful sunsets. Another nice touch was the screened enclosure for the gas grill. We grilled several meals outside, and even brought our smoker and did ribs in the rain! We ate all of our meals on the deck...very nice view.
Located on Cross Lake, we were within a quick boat ride of 3 restaurants and the "sand bar". We were also just a few minutes from groceries, bait and ice cream. We had 9 adults for the 1st 4 nights and 9 adults plus an 18 month child for the last 3 nights. I'd say that this cabin was pretty small for sleeping quarters when quiet area needed for small children (master suite).
All in all, we had a great time and really enjoyed Craig and Valerie's hospitality. We would come back to Peaceful Pines again, but our families are growing and will need more room next year.

Another great stay at Peaceful Pines!!
This is our second stay at Peaceful Pines and each time it gets harder to leave! There have been several additions to the property that make it even better. Paddle boat, kayaks, a new king bed and bunk beds!! We really enjoyed all of the new additions!! As always Crosslake is so much fun!! We will be back!

Peaceful Pines Vacation
Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was nicely equipped for cooking. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the lake. Very happy for the air conditioning as it was very humid during our stay. Our son enjoyed fishing with his kids off the dock and in the boat. The landscaping around the home was very nice and well maintained. We enjoyed bonfires in the yard. Craig and Valerie are very gracious hosts. We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful week on Cross Lake.
We spent the week of August 5th on lovely Cross Lake. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with everything a family would need for a fun stay. The sunsets were awesome as we sat by the fire pit on the beach. There was plenty of available split wood for the fires. We were fortunate to meet the owners, Valerie and Craig, who are both super friendly people. There is a second refrigerator in the basement which was very useful with six people in the cabin. Without a doubt this is a place we want to come back to. You will not be disappointed.

Everything you could want in accommodations. Clean, comfortable and welcoming!
The location of this property, along with the accomadations are fantastic! Our boys who are 8 and 5 could not get enough of the fishing off the dock, swimming and smores! For those with a boat, having the remote power boat lift was awesome! I highly recommend a nearby pontoon rental for a day. It was a great way to enjoy the chain of lakes in comfort. Bring your bikes! The bike trail through Crosslake is a block away with many restaurants, ice cream shops and mini golf along the way. None of us wanted to leave! We were lucky enough to meet the owners Craig and Val towards the end of our trip. Wonderful people! 5 stars all the way!

Cozy. Great view.
The kitchen was adaquit. The bedrooms on main floor were a bit small. Basement bedroom was good. It would have been nice to have a microwave down stairs, fan and perhaps a love seat and an actual door on the bedroom area instead of a curtain as some people are early risers while others prefer to sleep in a bit. The shower heads were not very good. I suggest in the upstairs shower you get a shower with a hand held to it. As that shower was quite small. The living room and dining area was nice. The deck and fire pit were great. We also used the grill and noticed a screen was missing so mosquitoes were a problem while cooking. It was also very nice to have a washer and dryer as well as dishwasher. We enjoyed our stay very much. The town has everything you could need.
