Excelente estancia en San Miguel, Bill, el anfitrión de Casa de la Cuesta tiene una magnifica actitud y un trato personalizado que hace toda la diferencia contra cualquier otra alternativa

The owner is wonderful. He is very accommodating and ensures you have a wonderful experience. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options. The location is great and easy to find. Plenty of areas on site to just sit and relax.
Everything was wonderful. The light in my room was very light but we realized that is likely the way for all locations. Had to navigate warm/cold water for the shower but not a deal breaker :-) Could figure it out. Hotel is wonderful. Would stay here again!

Superb two-course breakfast each morning: a typical granola, fruit, yoghurt & toast course followed by a daily example of a Mexican breakfast, e.g. Enchiladas con pollo
Location: easy walk downhill to the centre of the city, but needed a taxi back (for me - that said, a taxi in SMA `Centro' is a fixed price of 70 pesos, or about US$3.50.

Loved this place! Almost like being in huge Mexican mansion with an hacienda style decor. The owner,Bill, was very congenial and accommodating. The breakfasts were unbelievable! We enjoyed meeting other people at breakfast each morning and sharing our. Experiences. Plan to return again!
Loved everything!

The house, inspired by Mexican colonial architecture, is gorgeous and carefully decorated with Mexican furniture and objects of art. The breakfast was also remarkable, carefully prepared by the staff. The owners were very hospitable and helpful.

Bill and Heidi were exceptional people and host's. The breakfasts were amazing.
The accommodations were wonderful. The locals are very friendly and we felt very safe wherever we went.

We liked the owner who was very nice and helpful with transportation and reservations. The breakfast was very good and the facility very interesting. We did not have A/C in the room and it was very hot at night. We know it was the hot season but it was not comfortable.
A/C in the room.

Lovely, Mexican Colonial style property with comfortable rooms, nice public areas for relaxing. Daily breakfast fresh and delicious. The owners Heidi and Bill are incredibly welcoming and over the top helpful. We highly recommend this very special place.

Charming, fun, helpful hosts Heidi and Bill, a big part of the wonderful experience. Every room in the boutique hotel is filled with the unique and wonderful indigenous art collection of the hosts. The walls are brightly colored, gorgeous tiles abound, and the architecture is beautiful colonial with gardens and terraces with magnificent views. The hosts provide a lavish and delicious breakfast every morning, and another fun feature is conversing with the other guests at the family style seating. The hosts are extremely helpful in making restaurant reservations, suggesting activities, suggesting art and other kinds of shopping, and reserving drivers when needed. Special commendation to driver Jose Luis, whom they often use. This hotel is unique in all of San Miguel de Alende. We visited the Rosewood Hotel, which is much more expensive and which is highly rated, and we found no comparison. The Rosewood is very hotel-y and not nearly as pretty and charming. I have been to SMA a few times and to many other Mexican towns and cities, and I have never stayed in a hotel that I enjoyed so much. I give it my very highest recommendation.
Nothing. I loved every second of the whole experience.

Amazing hosts ... and home ! Heidi & Bill and their wonderful, friendly staff made for a memorable stay. The entire home is a magical place to visit, with open courtyards and balconies and fantastic views over SMdA ... and an amazing collection of items displayed throughout the entire complex.. Tea and good coffee and made-made cookies are always available. The Mask Museum should not be missed. Breakfast is superb, with a different hot portion of the meal each morning.
We look forward to returning one day. While not a problem for us, it's a walk back uphill to the house from the center of town. San Miguel has loads of taxis (safe !), so you'll have no difficulty getting back up to the Casa.
Wish we had been able to stay longer!

The property was expansive and a museum in itself. Heidi and Bill have traveled everywhere and every corner is filled with treasures. The property also has enough patios and outdoor spaces to see and feel something new for every coffee or beer you enjoy. The rooms were large and had every amenity to truly make it feel like home. And if you needed something, they were quick to provide it for you. The view from the room, the rooftop, even the hallways, was breathtaking.
Heidi and Bill go above and beyond to make your stay feel like home, from a delicious breakfast in the morning to arranging rides and covid testing. We will definitely be encouraging all our friends and family to stay there and will be heading back as soon as we can.

Casa de la Cuesta is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The Casa is beautifully maintained and filled with incredible Folk Art. The views of the city from the Casa are stunning.
The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed and Heidi and Bill, the owners, were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious. I can’t say enough about this first class B & B. Make sure to visit Bill’s fantastic Mask Museum and Heidi’s Folk Art shop.
10 out of 10 Stars for Casa de la Cuesta. Thank you Heidi and Bill.
I cannot think of anything about this property that I did not like. This is an amazing property.

Loved the food and decor.
Bed hard as a rock, impossible to block light from outside, noisy (roosters and dogs barking), staff pushy.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa de la Cuesta. It was everything we hoped for on our getaway to San Miguel. The traditional Mexican breakfast was amazing! We will certainly be returning soon. Our hosts were quite warm and welcoming. Thank you Bill and Heidi!!!
