About this house rental
( please be aware there is a 2 night minimum for Friday and Saturday night)
This is a fully furnished private home attached to our farmhouse. The best place you'll stay away from home where we've thought of what makes a stay nice like comfortable beds, nice sheets, wifi and privacy. Large enough for a family to spread out - even a bonus 3 season porch, but cozy enough for 2. Lots to do in the Amherst area with the 5 colleges. A great New England getaway or perfect for visiting faculty. One bedroom with king sized sleigh bed, second bedroom (accessible thru the first) has 2 twin sleigh beds - one is an adjustable bed for those that need just right position to sleep well), full size kitchen, extra big bathroom with walk in shower and tub/shower. Room enough for everyone to get ready for an event or a cozy stay in. There's also a bonus 3 season porch for extra room to spread out on the loveseat or oversized recliner. The living room has a big tv and comfy furniture for watching a show or reading. (Please note a 2 night minimum for Friday and Saturday )

This was a beautiful location. The parking was ample, the accommodations were clean and well stocked and the communication was superb!

We loved our stay. Great communication with owners. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Loved having the 2 bedrooms. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, felt like a home. Very clean, beautiful linens and towels, kitchen setup, TV with cable, AC, overhead fans.
2 bedrooms were a must for us, rather than 2 hotel rooms.

We enjoyed our stay at Kimball Upstairs. Lots of room, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Close to downtown Amherst!

Really enjoyed our stay at this large, well equipped main floor property. Friendly and helpful host. Perfect place to spend time in the Amherst area. Appreciated the baking and snacks that were waiting for us.

Spacious, clean, cool (we visited at the tail end of a heatwave), quiet; comfortable beds. The pictures don't do it justice.
Loved the snacks in the fridge especially the homemade sweet bread.
You can have breakfast and snacks in the kitchen (coffee, tea, milk, oatmeal, bread, fruit, eggs are provided), but we went down the street to a nice cafe.
Also nearby is beautiful Puffers Pond for relaxing and swimming.

The property was exactly as listed. Lee was easy to communicate with and everything went smoothly.

Exactly what you see is what you get! Cute place on farm like setting. Beds are comfortable and most anything you need is there from fans, pack and plays, and a high chair. Lee provided some fresh eggs, cranberry bread, and fresh butter. Looking to stay again next year when my daughter graduates!

The Kimball upstairs was clean and functional. Potential guests need to know 2 things: the 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds is only accessible by going through the bedroom with the one king bed. Also, there's another rental unit in the basement beneath this one and we could hear everything happening in the basement: people talking, sneezing, coughing, snoring at night, music, etc. which made us lose a bunch of sleep.

Visited my daughter for UMass homecoming. Great location, very convenient.

This apartment met our needs perfectly for a place that was comfortable, clean and close to everywhere we needed to be. The owners definitely take pride in keeping their property well-maintained and welcoming, including a lot of extras that we much appreciated! Fresh eggs, apples and cranberry bread in the refrigerator, along with all the basic cooking supplies in the cupoard. The king size bed we slept in was REALLY comfortable, and it was nice to relax in a truly homey environment at the end of a long day!

This is a very convenient, quiet, comfortable place to stay if you are visiting in the Amherst area. Really had everything you would need in the way of supplies, had great beds, plus snacks in the fridge which was much appreciated on our arrival. The hosts are very accommodating and couldn’t have been nicer (thank you, Lee!) Would definitely stay again.

Lee was awesome about communicating every step of the way. The rental was very comfortable, with everything clearly labeled. Checking in and out could not have been easier. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. I needed a place to just rest, relax, and regroup. It was perfect! Thank you so much, Lee and Bill. Everything is clean we had everything we needed. And we loved the snacks. You left us!

Overall it was excellent. Last morning had ants in bathroom and kitchen

We enjoyed the total privacy of this 2-bedroom farmhouse with full refrigerator, 2 showers, separate livingroom, and king bed in one room and 2 twin beds in the other. It was a toasty 90 degrees, so we definitely used the ceiling fans. Would recommend visiting in the fall or early spring.

I appreciated Lee’s flexibility in allowing for early check in. There were also nice touches of fresh eggs and tea bread. The space was nicely furnished and a great place to decompress after the day.
My only FYI to future guests is that the two bedrooms are connected. In order to access the bedroom with twin beds you have to walk through the King size bed room, there’s no others access point. It works out when your group has the same sleep schedule or if you put the heaviest sleeper in the larger room.

Comfortable property with everything we needed for a four-day stay.

All of the basics: clean, comfortable, and everything worked, well stocked kitchen, plus adjacent to a walk along a stream to Puffer Pond, six eggs in the fridge and cranberry bread. It was as if the host is a traveler herself and included everything she might like to find in accommodations.

Lovely accommodations. Very convenient to all locations of interest. Would highly recommend.

The rental itself was the equivalent to a small apartment and the bathroom was huge. Overall the only "issue" would be that you can hear noise from the downstairs rental. Even then it wasn't excessive and my wife and I agreed if we ever have to go down that way again we would try to rent here.

This property is exactly as posted -- odd space configuration with the most basic of furnishings. Clean with fluffy towels, comfortable bedding and generous snacks of eggs, coffee, tea bread, granola bars and apples. Excellent communication with owner and easy walk to Cushman Market and Cafe for provisions and meals.

We found the Kimball apartment to he perfect for our stay in Amherst. It was very comfortable and had excellent amenities. Thoughtfully prepared rooms in excellent condition. Nice sheets and towels. Close to cafe and market, trails and pond. Easy drive or bike ride to campus or downtown. Host was considerate and responsive. We highly recommend this host and apartment.

We found our accommodations to be comfortable and appropriate for an older couple with physical limitations. Kimball Upstairs was well-appointed and easily accessed with a walker by ramp. Should we ever again need lodging in Amherst, we will attempt first to stay at Kimball Upstairs.

We were very satisfied with the property we stayed at while in Amherst. Lee was extremely responsive and available. The home has everything needed for cooking and enjoying the porch. The location is very central and it was so nice to be within walking distance to great hiking trails. We especially loved watching the hummingbirds! We hope to stay again in the future.

Nice and quiet place
We really enjoyed staying here. The unit was clean, bright and spacious. Nice large bathroom and the king size bed was very comfortable.
The snacks and eggs provided for us were a nice touch. Also, my husband forgot his toothbrush and toothpaste and we were glad there was an extra toothbrush kit and soaps and shampoo in the bathroom.

A wonderful roost at former egg farm
We arrived at 86 Bridge street in the late evening, after a full day of visiting family in eastern and western Massachusetts. The property was perfect-very quiet and secluded, clean, and ready for our arrival. Our group of three adults enjoyed the spacious apartment and porch and walking to the pond, waterfall, and excellent breakfast place the next morning. Topped off our very pleasant stay with coffee on the porch watching the humming birds at the feeders. Highly recommended for folks seeking a quiet and seculuded spot that is very close to UMass, Amherst Center, and Northampton.

I could live here
This was by far the best place we stayed on our East Coast college tour. It was large, clean, and super comfortable. The owners really put a lot into the place including, but not limited to, foaming soap dispensers, silicone hot mitts hanging on the oven door handle, magnetic hand held shower heads on both (yes they have two showers in the bathroom), and razors (which came in really handy since I forgot my shaver for the first time in my life). Easy access to UMass Amherst and walking distance to Puffer's Pond- we will be staying here anytime we're back in the area.

The place is a bit far from Amherst College, but there’s no traffic to talk of. The place is strangely set up with residents of the second bedroom having to walk through the first to get to the bathroom and kitchen. The owners left a lot of goodies, including breakfast makings. The beds were excellent. I’d return. I inadvertently took your room key. Send me an address and I will send it back to you.

Perfect Stay!
Pleasant place to stay, quiet location felt remote but was within reasonable drive to many of the attractions in area we wanted to see. The upstairs apartment was actually ground level and was very nice, large, and quiet (didn’t hear other guests at the downstairs apartment at all). Host has space well kept and prepared with everything we needed (and bonus treats). Highly recommend, we will definitely be back. Also highly recommend any visitors to area check out New Salem Orchard, West County Cider, and Ragged Hill Orchard and Cidery - all short drives from this stay.

Residential neighborhood with walking trails...
I didn't feel like I was "on vacation", I felt like I was living in a pleasant place. With Cushman's Market a short distance away, wooded walking trails and everything you need where you're staying, what more could you ask?

Very convenient location
My mom and I were looking for a space in North Amherst. It was 1/2 a mile from the people we were visiting! Comfortable beds. The bed rooms are connected so you need to go through the other persons room to use the potty at night. Not terrible but good to know.
