Fun stay!

Cool house in a quiet neighborhood. Very neat and clean. Enjoyed the fenced garden with lots of tropical plants so the dogs could be off leash. It had everything you would need and was a short drive or walk to everywhere you would want to go. Look forward to coming back here in the future.

Lovely island. Private location. Quiet neighborhood. House is in the rear of owner's property. Shared common area. Cozy unit in need of some TLC. Lighting fixtures and kitchen appliances need maintenance. Does not have a full kitchen - only a microwave and toaster oven. Food prep area very small. Internet spotty at best. My interaction with the host did not leave me wanting more. Great for our two night stay, but we would not have wanted to stay any longer.

Very relaxed and quite place to get away, easy access to most everything, pleasantly impressed with the cozy little cottage

Very friendly host with fenced in yard for the dog to run.

This house is very cute! It is a character house in the shaded back yard of another house. The owner was very nice and helpful. We brought alone our furbaby. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom and rest of the tiny house. We will be back!

My daughter and I stayed here for few days to get a quick beach trip in. Everything was as described and Brent was very helpful when checking in. Having a fenced in yard was great for our new to the family rescue dog who loved searching all the nooks and crannies in the garden. Plenty of towels and TV’s available in the home as well as good AC when it got humid. We enjoyed sitting and listening to the wind chimes in the evening. Close to red fern village and less than 5 minutes to the main beach.

Our week's stay couldn't have been any better. Delightful property, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood which is proximate to main thoroughfare. Access to beaches, restaurants and other activities was easy. Brent is a wonderful host and Cherokee Cottage was perfectly comfortable and immaculately clean. Our dog loved having his own fenced yard to roam at the end of a day of sightseeing or beach exploration. Thank you, Brent.

St Simons vacation
Great place to stay in St Simons! Brent, the owner, ensured we had every thing we needed. Place was very clean and convenient to local restaurants, shops and beach. We will certainly be back!

perfect weekend
The property is secluded behind the owners house. It is very quiet and relaxing. The owner has a lot of plants in the area. The bungalo was as described. Kitchenette not a full kitchen. But had everything we needed. The owners dogs were friendly. Brent would check on us if he seen us coming in. I would stay again if going to St Simon.

Not as expected
Never get a second chance to make first impression. Rockets on patio nice but cushions filthy and mismatched with filthy Weber grill. Front door in obvious disrepair
Stated 2 bedroom. But one bedroom and ‘sitting’ room which was trundle day bed, high top table w 2 chairs. Kitchenette with microwave , tiny refrigerator, toaster oven, and keurig . Blinds not able to be opened.
Bedroom had HUGE gunsafe in room and smaller one in only closet. Closet with shelves w bedding thrown in haphazardly, no place to hang clothes any larger than infant. Noisy portable fan. One bedside lamp for king bed. Large TV with damaged recliner in bedroom Pegboards with hooks, nails etc and hooks in ceiling. Assorted ceiling light fixtures
Bathroom ok. Towels very nice But shower curtain was questionable. Didn’t want to touch it. Also hooded sweatshirt hanging on back of bathroom door
No ice maker, host said freezer outside for ice etc.
Redeeming qualities were Brent very nice with two nice friendly dogs. Yard eclectic but dog waste smell.
Despite filthy cushions on rickets we did take coffee in patio
Description stated for 6 people, don’t know how that would work. Only place to sit was daybed and no TV.
Very awkward. Needs paint and updating in bedroom with new bedding (sheets threadbare) and coverlets/quilts for bed and trundle questionable when last cleaned
Needless to say we were very disappointed. Had looked forward to some quiet time in quaint Cherokee cottage. Left 2 days early

Not What I Expected
First let me say that this rental was spotlessly clean, in a great neighborhood that is easily accessible to everything on the island (short car ride), and the backyard is awesome and fenced in for dogs. We were not expecting a large kitchen, but the word “kitchenette” implied (in my mind) the ability to cook our own food. There was no stove (though there were a microwave, air fryer and Keurig) and the fridge was an under-the-counter with no freezer, or at least so iced over that we could not access the freezer). We found out the next day the owner kept ice in an outside freezer we could access. There aren’t what I would call “two bedrooms,” but rather one bedroom (with a comfy bed) and another room with the “kitchenette,” small high table with chairs, and a daybed with a trundle. There is also a recliner that can be moved easily between the two rooms. We never were able to work the TV (which is in the bedroom) as there were no instructions, but we didn’t bother the owner with it because we don’t watch TV much anyway. And there was no fish tank (as in the description) because the owner had removed it. According to previous guests, the fish tank was a big draw. All that being said, we were comfortable and had a good time. My little dog enjoyed the enclosed yard and the owner’s two dogs were lovely. My friend and I enjoyed sitting outside in the tropical garden. Our biggest disappointment was in not being able to cook the food we brought with us, but we enjoyed the nearby restaurants.

Perfect accommodations
Brent and his pups were very friendly and welcoming. The Cherokee Tiny House feels tucked away even though it’s centrally located to a main road, restaurants and the bike path. If you’re looking for a modest and comfortable accommodation, this is it. I love bringing my pet companion on trips, and this was the perfect set-up for my older doggo, too. Brent’s back garden is lovely as well. Pro tip: get to know the very easy Broadway shortcut. It will save you time and hassle getting to East Beach, the pier, etc.

This is a very quaint and quiet place. It was very clean and easy access to the main road. Brent is a wonderful host. Allowing pets made our stay even more enjoyable. The yard is so nice to relax in. Next time we will use that wonderful grill. Thank you, Brent!!!

Stress free
My daughter and I had a great time here and on the Island. It is like an oasis, and the stay was incredible. We recommend the Cherokee Tiny House. Also, I learned a thing or two more about grilling. Brent is a great host.

Hidden Gem
When you walk down the path & go through the wooden gate ... there is Cherokee Tiny House ... surrounded by orange, lemon trees and overhead a canopy of Live Oaks & spanish moss. The house is compact, clean and comfortable. You are hidden away from the world. Brent is an excellent host. HIghly recommend

Quick get away
Absolutely loved little Cherokee house! It was clean, enough space for 3 adults and our pup, close to everything, not only was the house awesome but the yard was too. Brent is an amazing host and I loved his doggies too. I would recommend this property 10/10 to anyone. Definitely would love to go back and stay there again. This was my first time using VRBO and now the bar is set really high for expectations after staying here. Loved it!

Stay at the Saint
This property is exactly as advertised. It is a small house with everything you need. It is only a short drive to shopping, the beach, golf, excellent restaurants, bike paths / walks and the small airport. I would definitely stay here again. Brent was an excellent host and supplied everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I have allergy problems and my wife has asthma; but we did not have any problems here. Bravo Brent excellent job.

Very enjoyable
The house was as advertised and we enjoyed our stay very much - wish we would have had more time. When there was an issue (no hairdryer), a quick text to Brent brought an immediate response (and a hair dryer 😄).

Quiet nice and friendly
My daughter and I stayed here and we had a great time. The owner was super friendly whenever we needed anything and really went out of his way to help me out. He otherwise gave us our privacy. He had two dogs that were very sweet also and we enjoyed the chickens and hammock and fish tank. Definitely recommend!

Nice and Tiny Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the Cherokee Tiny Home on St. Simons Island. We arrived really late and Brent was very responsive and let us know what to expect. I would say his responsiveness to all questions and concerns was what made him a great host. This tiny home was a first for us and it was a nice stay. We were able to take our small dog and he enjoyed the trip, too. The place was clean and comfortable... what more could you ask for?

Beats any hotel
Perfect for us 2 'geezers' with a dog. I defy you to name all the vines, bushes, trees and flowers around the little house. It ain't the Holiday Inn - but great for the adventurous/curious types.. Note: Brent and his wonderful daughters live in the front home with dogs 'Bama and Fisher. Don't miss the sunsets in the village, and the public access beaches along ocean/bay drive (nicer than East Beach- with MUCH shorter walk in my opinion). Thank you Brent!

Great little house
St Simons was a 2 night stop off on my way home from Florida. The Cherokee Tiny house fit into our stop over perfectly. Close to everything, very clean and comfy. Brent was very responsive to any questions I had. Thank you for a great stay.

Great escape
This was our first time using Home Away. We were very pleased with our stay. Brent, the owner, is very pleasant and accommodating. The house is clean and private. It is conveniently located to everything. The people and island are friendly. We will return!

It was just as expected and more!
As two seniors, the Cherokee Tiny House was exactly what we were looking for. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee outside on the porch......loved all the plants and trees!!!!
It was clean and comfortable.....quiet neighbourhood. It was safe to take the dogs for walks too.
Brent is a true Southern gentleman and we look forward to returning.

Quaint & wonderful hideaway!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Cherokee tiny house! It was super clean, comfortable, cozy and felt like home. Loved the entrance into the property as well as all the native plants & trees in the common area. The island itself was almost, shall we say, surreal. Beautiful oaks, Spanish moss, palm trees and walkways/bike-ways throughout the entire island. The locals were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Was so nice to be walking on the beach and have people say hello! Brent is an excellent host and I look forward to a return visit!

Great place to spend a few days at the beach. Brent was very friendly and helpful.

I don't want this to affect my deposit from owner. He treated us well enough.
We spent 1 1/2 days without air-conditioning, something about not leaving a big enough crack between doors to his office.which were locked with a cable and lock. Had to kill three roaches. Motor bike in front of freezer in carport so only could open it eight inches to access ice. Not easy access in carport anyway. Walk though jungle to get to gate which opens toward street, actually either way and not all the way at that. Had to lift gate to latch it. King size bed slopes to center but comfortable. Left it as clean or cleaner than we found it. Eating utensils consisted of five spoons and eight plates. Nothing to clean them with except clothes washing soap. It was quiet and near everything. Fish tank dirty.

Tiny Home, perfectly tucked away
Quiet and convenient spot on SSI! Perfect for 1-2 people. Brent took great care of us!

Very nice
It is a lovely place for two people to stay. I don’t recommend three. Needs a place to eat breakfast or have a cup of coffee. Bathroom and bedroom were wonderful! Brent was very accommodating. WiFi was a sometimes thing. No service for AT&T customers.

Great location and host
Brent is a great host! And the location is great and within minutes of everything you'd want to do on the island. The place is very well kept and homey. Our daughter loved the fish tank. The only negative we had was the WiFi, or lack thereof. Unfortunately, while the VRBO listing states that WiFi is available in this unit, the modem must be in the main home because it does not reach out to this unit well at all (about 1 bar worth) so we were unable to be on the internet, which was kind of tough for me owning a business and needing access to email. And if you have AT&T, there is absolutely no cell/data service inside the unit. Other than that, we highly recommend this place and Brent.
