The house was comfortable and very clean. We had everything we needed. The floors are super squeaky so early birds upstairs woke those in the basement. But everyone agreed it was a perfect place for our group of nine. We’d definitely come back.

We were so lucky to find this house for our sibling reunion. Bedrooms and baths were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for the cooking we did each day. We walked to the Plaza, to museums, and to Canyon Road. No need to use our cars or look for parking. Great place to stay.

Kristen was lovely. The downstairs needs updating but bed and linens were very comfortable. Outside patio could use some clean up and plants. Not very appealing. All of outside needs some upkeep and trimming. Location is excellent.

Down Memory Lane
We stayed at Capitol Casa because it was very close to the Plaza and our first home on Canyon Rd. Our daughter was born in Santa Fe and we wanted her family to see the area.
It was easy to visit the area from the house and it was roomy enough that when home the adults had the main floor and the 2 boys enjoyed the lower level as a room of their own.
I have rented many houses but this one had the best equipped kitchen, the best dining area for size of group, and two lovely private outdoor spaces for gathering. Kristen was beyond helpful both before and during our stay. The family will never forget this family gathering.

Capitol Casa
The house is just a short walk away from the Santa Fe Plaza & lots of great restaurants, museums, shops, people watching, etc. It is in a very quiet neighborhood & has everything you could need for a week's vacation with family. Hot tub was great, plus grilling & dining on the patio. Sitting on the porch was enjoyed by all! Would definitely return!!

Great Santa Fe Stay
We spent 6 nights at this property. Kristen was so great. Maybe we were just lucky but she was at the property when we rolled in from the ABQ airport. She stayed for 20 minutes and showed us all of the features of the home. There was plenty of room for 2 families (4 adults + 5 teenage girls). We never felt as if we were crowded in each others space. The location could not have been better. Literally a 3 block walk to the downtown area...maybe a 5 block walk to the start of Canyon Road. For those not familiar (we were not) the adobe homes in SF don't normally come with central air, but there were plenty of AC units scattered throughout the house so we were always comfortable. The front porch was a favorite relaxation spot as was the backyard that came with a hot tub. We loved our vacation to SF and so did the teenagers (have to be honest I was a little surprised how much they loved it). No issues at all.

Family retreat at Capitol Casa
We had a very enjoyable week staying at Capitol Casa while visiting Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. The location was excellent! The square was a five minute walk away with grocery and pharmacy located right across the street. The house was beautifully decorated and had loads of Southwestern charm and provided plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our extended family of 10. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a busy day of hiking or shopping. The kitchen was fully stocked. The division of floors provided privacy and separation from the kids and allowed them some space of their own. We loved our stay and hope to return someday!

Fantastic with every amenity
A group of 8 women celebrating our 70th birthdays this year had a wonderful time at Capitol Casa. We have all stayed at many places and never encountered a place more generously equipped with loads of towels, dishes etc. Each of us having their own bed was important for us. Great living area seating for group conversation and within walking distance of everything in town. Will stay there again!

Perfect for multi-generational families
My family of 9 had a fantastic stay at Capitol Casa. The house had everything we needed and made it easy to figure things out- lights, thermostats, hot tub were all a breeze. The room layout downstairs was interesting, but the perfect place to put the young kids and baby in the group to run around. The rest of the rooms are well appointed, with ample blankets and comfortable beds. My favorite small touch was the number of towels available, there is no way to ever run out.
The house is also perfectly situated near downtown, a short walk away. Kakawa Chocolate house is also super close if you need a hot chocolate. Enjoy!

Superb house centrally located in historic Santa Fe, ideal for groups
Recently returned from a 5-night stay with a group of 9 women friends who first bonded in 1967. This is an amazing find! Capitol Casa is perfectly located, just a few blocks from the Plaza and downtown shops and museums, all within easy walking distance. As the name denotes, it is only a few feet—across Paseo de Peralta—from the state Capitol (the “Roundhouse”), with its magnificent art collection, which is free and open to visitors. Just a block away there is a drug store, coffee shop and Kaune’s Market, which is small and a bit upscale, but fine for picking up something you may have forgotten at Trader Joe’s or La Montañita (co-op) both within easy driving distance. The Saturday Farmers Market is also within walking distance, and I wish we had been able to shop there, but we were off to Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu that day. The house itself is beautifully furnished, homey and has ample room for a group. We occupied four bedrooms, hung out at the large dining table and living room, and shared the use of the 3 full baths. There were enough beds for several more. The mattresses were excellent and linens of high quality. The kitchen was very well-supplied with quality cutlery, ceramics, and pots and pans. There were numerous small touches that made us all smile.
Kristen (owner) and Debbie (manager) were highly responsive and very kind as we readjusted our numbers several times, modifying the contract each time to accommodate us. On our last day there, as we were discussing our next gathering place in the US or Canada, several of us felt that we would love to come back to Santa Fe to stay at Capitol Casa for a second time. We knew that we had only scratched the surface of all that the area has to offer, and we will be back! Thank you for a memorable stay in a wonderful small city rich in culture, history, and natural beauty.

Perfect location for girl’s trip
We had 10 sorority sisters on a 5 night trip to Santa Fe stay at Capitol Casa. It was close to everything and we were able to walk into town to shop, eat and enjoy the sights. The house is well stocked with everything you could want and the hot tub/patio area was a great place to gather. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Location
6 women from various parts of the country; one on crutches; gathered for opera and SWAIA Market. Easy 15 min ambling walk to the plaza; 15-20 min drive to SFO. Meticulous detail paid to cleanliness and comfort. Lovely porches and patio; great for gathering. We were charmed and have Capitol Casa high on our list for next year.

Outstanding in every respect.
Well equipped, well maintained, comfortable, good location on a quiet one-block street within 15-minute walking distance of the Plaza. Rear patio and front porch were a bonus. Owner's helpful agent has an office in the house next door if anything unexpected happens. A great choice for large family gatherings.
