About this house rental

Home is located on 3/4-acre peninsula at the intersection of Kelso Bayou and the Calcasieu Ship Channel. Has 7 twin beds, and 2 Day beds with trundles, and 1 King bed, full outdoor kitchen downstairs with large TV and bar that seats 12, gas grill, large crawfish/crab boiler, pellet grill, ice machine, private boat launch, 200' lighted pier (great for kids), so you don't even need a boat to fish. Fish cleaning station on the pier. Home is minutes by boat from Calcasieu Lake and 16 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Come enjoy the best Redfish, Flounder, and Speckled Trout fishing on the Gulf Coast! Sleeps 10. Plenty of parking for boat trailers.

This place is awesome! Downstairs is completely screened in and made for a good time. The owner has EVERYTHING you could need including games, TV, kitchen, bathroom all downstairs. Upstairs is very comfy with plenty of beds! It’s right on the water so if you book a fishing guide they can literally pick you up at the house. We brought a group of clients for the weekend and couldn’t have landed at a better spot! Would highly recommend 10/10

Sam the owner was super friendly and accommodating! We appreciate the special arrangements made for us in their tome of rebuild. The property is beautiful, the locals are amazing! We enjoyed eating wonderful food at the Rec Center and I fed 5 people for $32 bucks! Glen was super awesome as well and the hospitality was far above fabulous. I recommend anyone stay here for any reason and I hope to be back in the future!

We enjoyed our mini vacation near the water! Was able to fish and crab off the private dock. Real close drive to Wildlife Management Areas for more crabbing. LOVED the screened in patio for cooking, ESPN watching, and visiting! Looking forward to renting again!

Don't hesitate to book this camp for a fishing trip in Hackberry. It's a perfect example of a true South Louisiana camp life out in the marsh. Lodging accommodations upstairs are comfortable and roomy, but you won't be up there much. The downstairs screen porch is giant, complete with tv, bar, bathroom, and kitchen. You can put your boat down right there at the camp. 3 covered boat slips, and with the dock lights you can do some real productive fishing right there without even leaving. The camp is right on a bayou that drains the marsh, so you're sitting on the X even if you don't have a boat. Sam was a gracious host as well.

We really enjoy the stay the crabbing was lots of fun. We also caught catfish and redfish off the dock behind the house. Enjoyed watching the shrimp boats and the huge ships pass thru the channel. The house was very nice loved the out door kitchen the house was very nice had everything we need. The beds was very comfortable. We will come back for another fishing/crabbing tripping.

Myself and 7 other guys stayed in this fantastic place for a fishing weekend. The accommodations were better then I expected. The house was very clean and well put together. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. The down stairs screened in porch was a great place to hang out and that is where we spent most of our time when we were not fishing. There is a boat ramp in the back yard that was perfect for us to launch our boats. The house is also 2 minutes for a marina/ bait shop if you choose to launch your boat from there. The owner of the house always answered my questions very promptly and it was a pleasure to rent his house. I hope I have the pleasure of renting this house again in the future for more fishing weekends.

We all loved it and would highly recommend this home to everyone! It was very clean and had lots of extras. We adopted the neighbor " Uncle Ricky" who was friendly and knowledgeable of the history of the area. The owner answered all questions with a genuine concern. Only negative was Internet was out during our stay, but we really didn't miss it. Would love to go again!

We stayed at this place for 3 nights and I would HIGHLY recommend this place. We enjoyed the fishing, crabbing and the view was wonderful. The camp is very well kept and clean. Even though it rained the day we arrived and the next morning, we still had an awsome stay at this house. The property was very clean as was the house. Our kids and grandkids got lots of use out of the docks for fishing and also caught some very nice fish. The Holley Beach fish market was a great place to buy fresh seafood. I would recommend this house to everyone in my family. The owner was a pleasant fellow to talk to and really cared about our stay. If this place is available next year, we will be back.

Fun in Hackberry!

The facility is great for fishing or just relaxing. The fishing in the area is fantastic. The owner answered any and all of my questions that I had and was very easy to work with. The site slept 12 but there was plently of room for more on the floor if you need the space. It is very close to the pier and right next to some of the best Red Fish and Speckled Trout spots in the area. I recommend this place to anyone that would like to get a way for a week or weekend of relaxing and/or some great fishing.
