We enjoyed our stay with my family for my son’s wedding. The property is on a private road very, very close to the wild Basin lodge. So much wildlife right outside your door including a family of Moose! Inside this home has everything you need to be comfortable. I was worried it did not not have air-conditioning, but that turns out not to be a problem as it’s always very comfortable in the home. Owner was very responsive to any questions I had. Great

Very clean, owners very responsive to only slight issues. Kitchen well stocked, (no Keurig though). The only reason I docked one star was cabin is pretty close to hwy 7. We typically stay more farther from hwy. no noise issue from road just hoped for more wild life. Tons of hummingbirds!

The owners live on the property in a travel trailer right next to the home, sharing utilities, and watch every move you make. Then called us to complain because we moved a chair, even though we left the home very clean. We did move a chair out of a tiny space in a room and into the living room that had little seating. We felt harassment from the owners, with calls and dirty looks, and comments to our family.
They walked around the property at night with flashlights. They were angry that we brought our dog to the home that was pet friendly. We were undecided about whether or not to bring him and decided to at the last minute. She questioned us several times on why we did not pre- pay. Which I have never done, yet was apparently in the description. I asked if I could Venmo her the cash, no: then she said they would have VRBO bill us, which was fine, after I asked where an ATM was. Then I said great please bill us. She called after well left angry that we had not left cash and she had offer told to bill us vs driving 45 minutes to the nearest town to get cash. We bring our dog often and pay upon check out. Not before we arrive. I would not recommend the home as it is not private with the owners living in their trailer 10 yds away. There are over 8 acres, yet the home is between the trailer, horse corral and the garage. So very little privacy. Our entire family felt like unwelcome guests.
It is very close to a road so there is a lot of road noise. Would never stay here again.

This house is beautiful. We stayed for Christmas and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook and bake. We loved having a white Christmas, but really would like to see this place in the summer. The wrap around deck is beautiful too! Rosemary was great with communicating and even told us a lot about the history of the cabin. So fascinating! 10/10 would recommend staying here!

We would stay again.

We selected this home for it's proximity to Wild Basin. The wooded setting and resident Llama and Horse made this location idyllic! The house was country cozy with a newer kitchen. The owners were very responsive to our emails. Great place for a family or group of friends!

The house and all it’s furnishings were great. Can't think of anything that could have made it better…except, the nightly rate was greatly reduced after we booked but before we arrived, and we were not offered any reduction in the charges. We had to ask for it, and even then, it was not what was being quoted on the website.

This was our first ever vacation for the entire family.
We took are grown children and grandchildren to Colorado for the first time ever.
We have been coming to the Allenspark area for many years now and wanted to share it with the rest of our family.
Simply put, it could not have been a better family experience.
Our hosts, Brian and Rosemary were friendly, helpful And their Lonestar property left nothing to be desired.
It is virtually minutes from everything you could want to see or do in the Estes Park, RMNP area.
The entire family, grandchildren included, absolutely raved about the experience and convinced us that this should not be the last.
Overall, an experience that exceeded our expectations.

We stayed 3 nights & hiked Longs Peak— less than 5 miles away from the trailhead.
This is a PERFECT combination of secluded and well-appointed home. Every thing we could have needed was here.
I’m so grateful we stayed at Rosemary & Brian’s cabin.

Family gathering to remember who had passed away several years ago. We had several generations of several family groups from around the US - Kansas, Iowa, Maryland, Illinois, possibly other states. Gathering location was near Allenspark so this location was minutes from the "home site".

The house was perfect, lots of space, everything you could need and beautiful location. Loved the hummingbirds, the horse and llama. Elk came near one evening which was amazing. The hosts were very helpful and we love exploring the area. Rocky Mtn National Park was breath taking and not to be missed. We had a great time and look forward to returning.

This property could not have been more perfect. The cozy atmosphere and warm potbelly stove made our trip so magical. The owners were very accommodating and helped us extend our stay when the weather across WY and SD was not conducive for travel. Everything about this home and experience made for the perfect winter vacation!

We rented the house for a family wedding at the Wild Basin and had a wonderful experience. The house is well equipped and very comfortable, views are fantastic sitting in the porch! Brian shared the history of the area and his families connection. Highly recommend. Plus- We’ve never seen so many hummingbirds at one time!

A little bit of paradise
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Close to Estes Park and Rocky Mt. Park. The cabin has two living rooms ,two baths, three bedrooms, a well appointed kitchen and several decks all with outdoor furniture. Plenty of room for everyone. The cabin’s interior is full of interesting antiques. The owners are kind and very pleasant. Would love to go back again.

Beautiful Home and Area
The house was large, beautiful and comfortable but it was the huge porch that we absolutely loved. We spent as much time as possible relaxing on the wonderful porch.

Mix information & charges outside of the app.
There was no consistency.
Charges were made AFTER we showed up, asking for cash.
We were stuck because this was the venue for our daughters wedding. We gave all necessary information upfront to host a wedding. We not only were very respectful WHILE the owners stayed on the property and would be nice in our face and then make rash request we were stuck to comply with.
We not only cleaned up our trash from our stay, we had been cleaning up trash left prior to our arrival around the property because we were having an event. We were charge for an "extra outhouse and trash bin" and we paid extra. They were NOT extra, they were already part of the property.
We have NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE with any other rental.
We rent often. We would not have made this review, but this owner decided she would show her low life face. We will look to rent with other services to stay away from people with negative and manipulative traits.

Beautiful trip to a homely cabin
Brian and Rosemary were excellent hosts who communicated all expectations out right. Their property includes 10 acres where the main lodge had a pond, corral, and wrap around porch. The property was easy to get to from the main road and had tons of available parking onsite. Inside the lodge there was 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Everything was clean and organized. Our 4 day, 3 night stay was one to remember by the beautiful scenery, it’s close proximity to Estes Park, and the access to Rock Mountain National Park. We will definitely be returning in the future to this location.

Cozy cabin near rocky mountain national park
What a great cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park! The property was beautiful, settled in a grove of aspens and pine trees. The cabin was cozy, with a great kitchen that made prepping meals a breeze. The wrap around deck was excellent, with plentiful seating! Really enjoyed watching the local llama and horses! Check in and check out processes were a breeze! The location is less than 10 minutes away from the Longs Peak Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National park, very convenient if you want to tackle the trails in that area! Would stay again!

Charming and immaculate!
We stayed here over labor day weekend for my nephew's wedding. It is super convenient to the wedding venue, Wild Basin Lodge. The home was absolutely spotless, kitchen was well appointed, and the animals were such a unique addition! We loved having our coffee out on the beautiful wrap around porch and watching the horses! Wish we had more time to explore the property more. Rosemary and Brian left detailed instructions for everything so all our questions were answered. We booked back in 2019 before Covid, and had to move the dates twice due to the pandemic. Rosemary was so accommodating and patient. Would book this wonderful house again!
