The Dining Room includes a custom Ponderosa Pine Table by local artist. The Living Room is open to the kitchen and Rec Room with a Library Nook filled with interesting books from the area. Take in the great outdoors on the large deck with views of Mt Meeker, the year-round stream and Aspen grove.

The drive to the property is picturesque with The Rocky Mountains in all of their splendor as the backdrop.
The property is easily accessed off Hwy 7 on a private road, open and maintained year-round.
Ideal for outdoor adventure, recreation and relaxation, bordering National Forest.
Do you want to build a snowman? You can, right outside the house! Make a snow angel, have a snowball fight!! Close to Rocky Mountain National Park Sled Hill, great places to snowshoe and cross-country ski. The custom Shuffleboard table in the cabin provides hours of fun for everyone! Eldora Ski Mountain is less than an hour away. There are Fly-Fishing drop-in spots scattered all beside the roads and right out the cabin door in The Horse Creek. There are a ton of fun things to do in Estes Park, www.vistestespark.com has most of the contacts that you will need. If you are coming thru Lyons, there is a grocery call St. Vrain Market, that has lots of essentials and goodies. There is a Safeway in Estes. We like to go through the Rocky Mountain National Park to look at the wildlife, you should see elk, possibly bears, mule deer, Chipmunks at Rainbow Curve!! We are always on the lookout for a moose. We start our kids out fishing at Trout Haven, Estes Park where they supply poles and the bait, you catch trout, they will filet them and you can take them home! There are go kart tacks, mini golf, regular golf, rock wall climbing, food trucks in town. We like to fly fish and raft in the Big Thompson River and we call, Kirk's Fly Shop, to set up Guided Fly Fishing, Float Trips, Horseback/Fishing, Llama Pack Trips and Backpacking. Estes Park is about a 15 minute drive down the mountain from the cabin and has a Safeway Grocery Store and tons of good places to eat. The Stanley Hotel for dinners and their Spa. Lots of great shops in Estes, Taffy, Art and Jewelry, Ute Native American inspired shops. You will pass Charles Eagleplume's Shop on the way to town on your right and Saint Malo's Cathedral on your left, both national treasures, in my opinion. The church has been the subject of many paintings and photographs over the years. I am always in awe of the structure seemingly rising out of the rocks and could look at it for hours. I cannot describe Eagleplume's, you just have to go in and you should read Ann Strange Owl's Biography.
It is a 15-minute drive to Estes Park, 25 minutes to Lyons and 40 minutes to Boulder/Longmont. Check out Boulder right down the road for a fun filled or you can stay home and hike the trails right out the back door for days! See breathtaking horizons. Many animals have been seen from the cabin, near the creek in front of the house and coming up and down the mountain on the side of the house. There are many wonderful coffee drinking spots throughout the home and many fun dinners have been had! Tahosa Ranch is ready to welcome and accommodate you and yours!

House was as advertised in every way! Homeowner was quick to respond to every question that we had. The suggestions of restaurants, sites, itinerary, companies (white water rafting) were so helpful to maximize the 5 days we had. We followed the suggestions and everyone was great. We would recommend Snowy Peaks Winery.
If you are looking for a place with plenty of room to spread out or a place to have a family gathering, this place will fit the bill! There is room to sit around a large table for meals and afterward to play card or board games.
We would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in this great VRBO. It was perfect for our five member family. A large kitchen, we did lots of cooking, very spacious and open floor plan. We loved the shuffleboard. We bought firewood in town to have fires in the upstairs beautiful fireplace. Very comfortable cozy seating. Thank you!

This place was exactly what we were looking for! It was in a beautiful location with access to Estes park within 25 minutes. We even got to see a moose walking alongside the peppery! Our wedding party (immediate family) stayed and there was plenty of room for everyone! We would come back here!

It is very convenient to Wild Basin for a wedding. Although the listing says 12 people ( we had 11 one night and 10 the pther nights) there are not enough sheets or pillows to accommodate 12 people. We couldn't find extra sheets for the sofa bed or the futon. We ended up using sleeping bags that we brought with us in case of emergency. The pots and pans are mostly quite old and corroded. The shuffleboard table was fun for the family and the location is great

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Great location. Had several family members come stay from out of state. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of them.
Host were very easy to get a hold of and did take care of an request prior to our stay.
We did not need anything from them while we were up there.
Beautiful place highly recommend.

Main bathroom needs to get rid of the big tub and step. Scary getting in and out to shower. Should just be a shower. Perfect place for fun and entertaining. Hosts were amazing. Kitchen well stocked

We had our wedding at wild basin lodge and stayed here with the wedding party. It was perfect and super close to our venue everything was great!

Overall disappointing! The property was very rundown and required many updates. It was not very clean and it was disturbing to see rodent traps and numerous cobwebs throughout the home. The lightening was not only difficult to locate switches in some places, but the wiring seemed questionable. One on the bedrooms smelled of vomit. The 20 year olds in the group were ok with the accommodation, but the 50 year olds were not. Our expectations were higher. The only redeeming quality was the proximity of the home to our venue. I would not recommend!

This home was perfect for our family vacation....plenty of room and privacy for 7 adults and 4 kids. Great location, especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park.

This property is in a great location and has a lot of space. It is great for a larger group and the host was pretty responsive. However, it could use some attention. There was a screen door that was broken (literally fell off and could not be reattached), multiple non-functional lamps, a broken chair, non-functional windows in the loft, and two modern non-working ovens. The owner was responsive when we reported the ovens on the first day but they didn’t get fixed the entire week. This last one was a big one for us as we had carefully planned our meals to save money and had to make do with a small toaster oven instead. We appreciated the response but the overall theme was that there just doesn’t seem to be a lot of maintenance checking being done. There is also only a charcoal grill which was not our favorite. The windows that do open took some work to get open and closed. If you plan to use the loft for sleeping, be aware it can get very warm in the summer. There is a fan but that only does so much. We were also very disappointed with the master bathroom bath/shower. It collected a lot of water along the edges, making an already hazardous step into the tub even more slippery. If you are older do not plan to use this bathroom as it is a high and long step to get into the tub/shower. Pros: The downstairs bathroom was much better and everyone enjoyed the rain shower. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the shuffle board was fun.

Had my daughters wedding at Wild Basin lodge. This house is perfect for a large group. Several hang out areas to spread out in. I have stayed in house rentals many times and this home exceeded my expectations. The furniture was comfortable and new. All electronics worked despite the house being pretty remote, kitchen was very supplied with everything we needed. Cannot say enough about how well supplied this home was. Any questions to owners were answer promptly. Will definitely stay here again. Did not want to leave.

The Tahosa property was beyond perfect for our family and friends! We had our wedding at the near-by Wild Basin Lodge and booked this house for ourselves and bridal party. It is hard to put into words how great it was. It is perfectly tucked away to be a relaxing mountain home, but close enough to the main road to get anywhere you need to go. The shuffle board table was a huge hit and hosted many competitive games. The large main room was a perfect spot for family and friends to all get together and enjoy each others company. The raised deck was a great spot for a morning coffee while enjoying the mountain view before a nice walk through the surrounding trees and stream. The hosts communication was very welcoming and they made the check-in and everything very easy. Overall we cannot say enough how great this property and the hosts are and highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be booking again in the future!

I can't recommend this property enough! My spouse and I rented two Allenspark houses for our wedding party, and it truly made the weekend unforgettable! This house is a wonderful rustic mountain getaway, combined with elegant rooms and well-stocked common areas.
We had a plumbing issue upon arrival, but TJ responded immediately and had a plumber to the property within half an hour or less. Things happen, but the way TJ responded made a potential problem virtually a non-issue. VERY impressed and grateful! The location is unbeatable, and my out of town friends got to see moose, mule deer, and even a bear right from the house. Gorgeous, comfortable, perfect stay. 10/10!!!

We stayed at the property to do the Longs Peak hike and the location could not have been any better. Very nice house, the only issue we had were some items in the house were damaged or did not work when we got there (minor things) but you don't know if these things were noticed already by the owners/mangers or not so we made a list so we were not held responsible.

We loved our stay at TJ and Emily’s! The views were incredible and the trails, rocks and river right outside the house we’re perfect. The three young kids loved having the loft as their room. Plenty of bedrooms to give the teens their own space as well. Some of the house features were quirky but only added to the charm! Wouldn’t recommend for those with kids under 3 given the open circular stairs but family/friends/girls trip- just book this house! ‘Neighbors’ were lovely as well- perfect!

Birthday weekend
This was a great mountain getaway for me and my friends to celebrate my 50th! Close enough to amenities (20-30 minutes) yet in the mountains to get that remote, relaxing feel. Had everything we needed and the house was clean and easy to check in. Owner communicated well and even gave us great tips for eating, shopping, and hiking. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful winter cabin
Lovely cabin in the snowy mountains. A wonderful blend of a greatroom for everyone to hang out in, but enough space to not be on top of each other. Loved the access to hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Will certainly be coming back in the future!

Great Allenspark Mountain Home
The home was exactly as described and worked out perfectly for our group of 8. I would highly recommend the house to any large group looking for a secluded stay, yet close enough to nearby attractions (Estes Park, Longs Peak, Rocky Mtn National Park, etc.). Thanks again!!

Great cabin for wedding party
My husband and I were getting married at Wild Basin Lodge, just up the road, so I rented this cabin to be our home base during wedding weekend. It was a great setup for having the bridal party and best man and their partners all stay with us. It’s nestled back a little ways from highway 7, in an aspen grove, which was delightful. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed, despite some missing spoons that another reviewer mentioned — we just did the dishes as soon as we were done using them so it wasn’t a problem. If you’re also renting this cabin for a wedding or similar event, and you think you’ll need to use the iron at the property, I recommend bringing your own (we couldn’t find it). TJ & Emily were very responsive via text message when we needed anything. Great place to stay for a big group!

Wonderful house, beautiful location and awesome hosts!
My family and I loved our stay. The property was beautiful, house was clean and exactly as picture and the location was perfect. About a 20 minute drive to Estes Park and an hour away from Boulder. We enjoyed horseback riding, fly fishing and shopping in Estes Park and also exploring Boulder. Our stay was better than we imagined and TJ and Emily were helpful, friendly and responsive. We highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again!

Awesome Quiet Place
We loved our stay! We were nervous that we were not going to get any snow but were gifted with it the next day. Very spacious and had a cool shuffleboard!!!

Good but could be improved.
We enjoyed our stay but there are a few small improvements that could make it more user friendly. Check the utensils: there were only seven spoons. Add another large cooking pot: one is not enough. Make more space for grocery storage : I like Lenox China but 2 sets took up too much room. Add a gas grill: after getting back to the house at 6:00 or later, it would take another hour to get the charcoal ready to grill. Hope this doesn’t sound like we were disappointed but wanted to offer some suggestions.

Great for our family of 11
With 7 adults and 4 kids (ages 15-10) this property was exactly what we needed for our family vacation. Easy to find and
Far enough away from Estes Park to not feel like we were stuck in a tourist trap but close enough that the drive into town for a coffee or forgotten groceries wasn't a big deal. Also, make sure to check out Lyons, lots of restaurants and not nearly as tourist trap feeling!
The kids enjoyed exploring the creek and the outdoors while we adults chilled on the upper deck with beverages enjoying the beautiful view of the mountain and wildlife. From hummingbirds, bunnies, a black bear, and more the porch provided as much wildlife viewing as our day in the RMNP.
We cooked all our evening meals at the house and found the double oven great for keeping things warm.
Future traveler tips:
The house has a well stalked pantry with basics so make sure to double check before buying things like salt and pepper.
There are a few patio chairs that are lounging level comfort but we found with 7 adults we were glad to have our camping chairs thrown in.
Overall the house was ideal for our week away from the world!

Great spot for groups!
This house was well equipped with comfortable sleeping arrangements, great toys/books for kiddos, games for adults, plenty of couch seating and dining seating for groups, an awesome great room for gathering and great bathrooms. We saw coyotes outside the house which was awesome and it's proximity to Rocky isn't bad! We had a great stay.

Great spot to explore RMNP
We had 10 guys for a few days and everyone loved the place. Ten was probably the most I would want to put in the place though with couches and futons I am sure you could get closer to 15. Kitchen was very nice, we cooked all of our meals at the house. Got a lot of use out of the huge charcoal grill on the deck. Property is mostly steep grade but it's walking distance to an entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park so we took full advantage. Nice little trout stream close by too, we caught a few brookies. Really great and private house overall. Would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful space for large gatherings
Great location just a few minutes from Wild Basin area of Rocky Mountain National Park, five or so minutes from Allenspark, and 15 minutes from Estes Park.
The space itself is perfect for large gatherings. We had a family reunion, and there was plenty of room for everyone, especially in the large living area. All the amenities were greatly appreciated, and the owners' prompt communication clearly shows they take pride in ensuring guests have a good experience. Would definitely recommend.
