The posted pictures seem nicer than what we experienced, it's clear this home has been rented many times since and the house needs some care. The best part of the house was the location to the beach and the pool. It's not here to impress, but it does it's job.
6.0 / 10.0
Pool was small, but nice and clean. Saw a few roaches in the house, both dead and alive. Biggest thing was the AC being “locked” at 79 degrees. The nights were unbearably hot. Got as hot as 81 degrees inside. Place has good potential, but needs tweaking and attention to detail.

We had a great stay, the location was convenient, and the private pool was great.
8.0 / 10.0
Short walk to the beach. Nice and clean upon arrival, beds comfortable and plenty of space to spread out. Private pool was great for end of day or evening swimming. Appreciate having the garage space to store our beach items in overnight. Having washer and dryer on site was a big plus as well. No complaints and no issues while there. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.

Unit is worse for wear. Lots of maintenance issues including broken toilet seats, flooring coming apart (do not walk around bare foot upstairs) and pest control issues. Furniture is not as depicted in photos or as described.

The house is very nice and clean. The pool was perfect for my family. The privacy is nice and it really felt like we were at home. So close to the beach entrance too. We were going to rent a golf cart but it’s so close to the beach entrance we didn’t have to. I would definitely stay here again. Plenty of space and sleeping areas. 2 full restrooms was a plus too. 2 outdoor showers for rinsing off was very nice and it has a garage. Can’t ask for anything better.

I don’t know how to feel about the house because the location where the house is at is very nice, I enjoyed the pool a lot, loved having washing machines and a shower outdoors to wash off the sand before entering inside the house. Those were the pros of the house, but I feel like the cons were more because inside the house was a disappointment.

The place with dark, Dingy and had mold. We walked in and walked right out. I contacted the management team and was told someone locally contact me. They never did every day they sent me messages asking how I was enjoying my stay. Every day I reminded them that I was not there. I requested a refund, they kept passing me off The local folks who never contacted me. In the end, they said they processed my refund. I am waiting to see if that is true or if I will have to continue to fight. Nothing like the pictures.

Pool was full of bugs and not clean when we checked in and no running hot water to shower..beds uncomfortable.

Pictures are deceiving. Inside looked dirty. Roaches in the kitchen. Beds were super uncomfortable.

We stayed at this property in late June. The rain leaked into the unit in several areas. We had visible water leaks on the bottom floor, the drywall in the master bedroom was soaked and soft to the touch, and the flooring in the second bedroom was buckled. The moisture attracted roaches, including a large one in the utensil drawer. Besides that the wifi was terrible, the owners do not erase streaming profiles from prior guests, and the beds were really uncomfortable. I would say great location but that’s a given when staying on the beach. My recommendation is to avoid this property unless you have confirmation of repairs.

The house itself was nice and the price was really good. The pool was heated which we loved. There were a couple issues. One, the downstairs bathroom didnt have any hot water. Second, it rained during our stay and there was water leaking all over the living room from the roof and back door. But overall it was a good house for the price.

Place was nice, fit everyone (group of 8). There was some water damage in the living room, we just put a bowel to catch the water and it stopped leaking after a few hours. Beach access was very close (1 minute). Whataburger, gas station and other restaurants and stores were also walking distance. Overall, place was in a good spot and spacious!

Great little house centrally located with a super private pool. Upstairs master has deck with steps to pool. For my purposes it was fantastic. Would rent again no problem.

Fantastic location. Wonderful, clean, relaxing pool. Watched the Padre Island fireworks from the pool and balcony, unobstructed view. Restaurants and Cafes walking distance. Beach, a five minute walk. Roku command in living room had the 3A batteries stolen from it, so could only watch TV in the Master bedroom. No biggy for us since we didn't travel 5 hours to watch TV.

Loved the pool and location of the house.
The house looked different than advertised. Had mold on the ceiling in living room area. Fire detector hanging from ceiling on stairs, bench on patio looked like it had been on fire.
During our stay, a crew came in unannounced and took the fence down, total strangers, when finished they left the extra 500 screws on the ground all around the pool area for us to step on and clean up. Note if you rent this place there is 1 really long screw that is sticking out of the wood and bent over in the perfect position to hook yourself on.
TV's didn't work.
Had to purchase bowls, glasses and can opener for the house, blankets and more towels.
Called the help line and feel like we were just told that they were sorry a bunch of times, Vacasa did absolutely nothing to make things right for me or my family.
There were more things but I'm tired of typing this already.

We loved nothing! We arrived and what was supposed to be a private pool had complete access to the neighbor’s. The fence was all broken down in one side.
We reported it and they assured it would get fixed the following day.
The next morning came and since it had been raining the living room was flooded. Water came down through the roof and flooded the entire living room. We had to use pots to hold the water in. Had to use towels to fry the floor. Rusted water filling the pots in the living room. The trip was nothing we expected. We reported every incident. Had a person come by check it out but nothing more than that. Not even an apology. Worst experience ever!

This was our second time here. Lovely property, generally well-kept, and the pool is wonderful. The master bed is too soft for my wife who has back problems, so she went to one of the others. Lovely home, and South Padre Island is very pleasant.

We stay in SPI every summer for our vacation, the house was very close to the beach, had a nice top patio that lead out of the master room. The master TV & living room TV had a bad picture, there was a line going down the living room screen which made it not enjoyable to watch movies at night. The house also had roaches! In years of staying at various properties in SPI this was my first stay with roaches. I could of done with the poor TVs minus the roaches.

This was our second time staying here, so one can only assume that we had an amazing experience the first time to want to return to this property again. The place was clean and the pool was up to par. What we noticed is the wear and tear that the property is showing: wall in upstairs bathroom has water damage, towel holder fell off, TVs have red lines on the pixels, master bed was extremely uncomfortable, and there were a lot of ants outside near the pool. One of the most disappointing things was when I discovered that the dishwasher had stagnant water at the bottom. I tried to run a cycle to help it drain out but the water backed up into the sink with a disgusting pungent smell. The property was notified immediately through VACASA with the expectation that we were going to be contacted within the hour to tell us how the issue would be rectified. We never received a call nor visit from anyone. It wasn’t that the dishwasher never got fixed that disturbed us, because we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway. It was the poor communication that lead us to reconsider ever coming back to this property or any VACASA property. What would have happened if it was a more serious issue? Would we have been left hanging? It would have been nice to have someone at least check on it, especially since the smell was so horrid.

Loved it!
We booked this cute home for our anniversary/family vacay. It was perfect for our family of 5! So close to everything! The personal pool was the absolute best. We all enjoyed it. The neighborhood was quiet. We felt safe the whole time. We will absolutely be booking here again in the future. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay
We had a great time at this location. We loved the private pool. The single bedroom’s mattress rolls to the middle, but beyond that it was perfect for the week. We donated a pizza cutter and a meat thermometer to the collection of utensils for the next guests enjoyment.

There's was water leaks, pool was dirty when we got there, dryer did not work, restroom doors cannot be locked.

Overall very pleasant experience
House was well equipped with mostly everything we needed. The pool was clean and well-kept, as well as the whole house. We had an issue with the main bedroom bed, as my wife has back problems and it "gave in" too much. Other than that, everything was pretty much perfect. The house was close to anything we needed and Eric and Robert were very attentive to our needs and concerns.

Worth it
Loved the house was nice and clean. Loved that it has a private pool. The only thing that I didn't like is that they don't allow pets maybe if you can change that so I can take my 2 dogs with us I had to leave them behind. Other than that it's worth it.

I would like to start by saying, we would stay in this townhouse again, because it's not a bad place, it could just use some maintenance.
Our first night there we had to call maintenance because the thermostat was set at 72 and it never got below 74, which is very bad for the AC unit to be running nonstop for hours. The AC filter was so clogged with dust (we took pictures) and water ran out of the AC down the entire length of one side of the garage and out onto the driveway. This of course meant the wall was wet and there was standing water on the garage floor, which is definitely not good for the house. Maintenance came the next day and changed the filter and vacuumed the AC drain line out, but it very quickly filled up and started leaking again. I would suggest someone go out to look at the unit because it definitely needs maintenance.
The review about the loud stairs is on point, they squeak a lot because of the edging they put on them. But I guess nobody can sneak up on you. Lol. The review about the loud bed was also on point. The mattress in the master bedroom was so loud, any slight movement and you were waking everyone up. I also found myself sliding into the middle of the mattress, so it made sleeping uncomfortable. The headboard also bangs against the wall on one side with any movement, so I put a hand towel behind that side during our stay. Also the review about the cracked tile in the upstairs bathroom is still valid. The grout is coming away from the tile and some of them move and make a crunching sound when you step on them. It's very unnerving, especially being on the 2nd floor.
The upstairs bathroom could also use some paint touch ups where the shower rod is, the paint is scraped in so many places. The bottom locks on most of the doorknobs don't work, for sure in the upstairs bathroom and the door leading out to the upstairs deck (the deadbolt works on that door) so that's something to be aware of. I would also suggest a small table or luggage holder in the master bedroom, I hate putting suitcases on the bed.
Several reviews and even the listing talk about a fully stocked kitchen, but the kitchen is severely lacking in supplies for cooking, if you plan to prepare your meals. They provide a coffee pot and filters but no coffee (which is fine) so we bought a bag of coffee only to find out there were no measuring spoons, there are cups, but no tablespoon/teaspoons. Also I brought cinnamon rolls and there is only one baking sheet in the entire kitchen, it's in the drawer under the oven, and is completely rusted and there is old food pieces with it. So we ended up having to buy baking sheets. There are also no pot holders or trivets in the kitchen at all. So you can cook in the oven, but don't have anything to take the hot food out with and nothing to set the hot pan on to keep it from damaging the counter. So we bought some of those too. Pots and pans are limited, I needed a large pot to boil some water but there is not one, I had to split it into 2 separate pans to try to make it work. There was no hand soap in the bathrooms or the kitchen. Hand washing is a must, especially these days, and not having any hand soap in the entire house made me cringe. I bought 3 bottles for all the areas with sinks.
The outdoor gas grill should be replaced. The burners are rusted and only one lights automatically, my husband had to buy a lighter to manually light the other 2. The grill is also extremely dirty. I took pictures of it, and my husband bought a grill cover and grill pan to use inside the grill to keep the food from the dirty grill. He also grilled with the lid open so nothing would fall on the food from the top part of the grill. The grill has definitely seen better days, and if I had not bought a bunch of meat to grill we would not have used it at all.
