RESERVATIONS FOR HOLIDAY WEEK 3/25 TO 4/2 - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING - This is a discounted rate because construction is due to take place some or all of the above dates. There will/may be no access to the deck. Views from the condo may /will be limited due to scaffolding in front of deck (still a nice view). There may be some daytime construction noise but that is limited to M-Th 9-5. They will not be working Good Friday but deck access may still be limited. Book only if you understand and accept the above limitations. Please message the owner if you have questions before making the reservations (regular price was $275/night for this holiday week).

Truly wonderful condo!!!
This place is perfect! Completely updated decor with lovely furnishings and lots of space and natural light coming in from the upper windows. Kitchen is fully appointed with everything you could ever need. Super nice resin furniture on the beach side balcony and nicely furnished space right outside the front door to enjoy the sunsets too. And Brent is fantastic, making reservations and arrival and departure an absolute breeze. If you are going to South Padre YOU WANT TO RENT THIS CONDO!!!

The Suntide II is one of the most desirable condo complexes on the island. Covered parking, heated pool, hot tub, volley ball and tennis courts adds to the uniqueness of this condo complex. We feel we have one of the most desirable (some would say the most desirable) condo at the Suntide II. It is on the top floor with open ceilings and clerestory windows facing the Gulf allowing plenty of light into the condo. The Suntide II has a stepped front with 3 units/ floor offering a full panoramic view of the Gulf and Beach. Our condo is one of those 3 and being on the top floor, it offers the best views. Our condo also has amazing views to the West allowing visitors to enjoy bay views and sunsets. Most SPI beachfront condos do not offer those westerly views.

Our condo is true BEACHFRONT. Don't be fooled by those listing their condo as beachfront and offer only side views, partial views or no views as some think they have a beachfront condo facing a parking lot but the complex is beachfront. Those are not beachfront (BEWARE - Look at the pictures and where the pictures are taken).

We have recently remodeled our condo. Sorry to bore some with details but others like details so here we go. We repainted the entire condo. Painting was not enough. We spent the additional time/expense with a knockdown finish to add to the beauty of the interior. Tastefully colored walls not just boring white or such wild colored walls you want to leave as soon as you arrive (we've all been there). Fresh white trim and new interior doors. Mostly new furniture. The master bedroom offers a comfort firm Sealy mattress with individually pocketed coils. The master bathroom area was redesigned for additional comfort and ease of movement. The entry to the closet and bathrooms was relocated and enlarged. The shower area of the bathroom is now private and large enough to dry off after a shower. The old 23" door to the toilet/shower area (typical for Suntide II condos) was enlarged to 32". Some condos at the Suntide have the toilet room wall removed to eliminate the small opening but that does not allow for privacy that most guests want. Both bathrooms have new granite counters. The kitchen also went through some major changes. New granite counter tops, new sink, tiled back splash and updated cabinets. A few other items that some condo owners/management companies overlook that were updated during the remodel: The bedroom that is near public access has privacy blinds (most condos throughout the island that we've seen overlook this detail). Our clerestory window blinds are remote controlled. Some leave them open for their guests, some close them (non-adjustable due to accessibility). We felt our guests should have the choice in what they want so we installed the hard to find/costly motorized blinds. All new blinds throughout the condo. New oar motif in master bedroom and living room offers a fresh and simple beachfront look. Owners of this condo spent a lot of time and effort on the big and the little things that you will notice the minute you walk in the door.

Flat screen TV in all rooms. New 65" Flat screen in Living Room. 43" flat screen TV in Master Bedroom. Smart TV's or Roku in bedrooms.
DVD player with some family friendly DVD's in condo.
Kitchen is wonderfully equipped with most everything you would need with new stainless steel appliances.

One king bed in Master bedroom, one queen and one twin in 2nd bedroom. There is a small cot for the 6th person in your group(child recommended for the cot). One full size sofa and two love seats in the kitchen area. New dining room table accommodates 6 with 4 additional stools at breakfast nook.

Save Money $$$. -- Owners of this condo also manage the condo and accept the bookings. Many condo owners hire management companies to rent out and manage their condos. Additional management fees, damage waivers and check-out fees are added to the reservation. Book this condo and save those extra fees and charges. We offer competitive rates. If you have a question or need a quote, please contact the owner before making the reservation.

Hurricane policy: We will refund nights caused by mandatory evacuation of the island. We do not refund due to bad weather.

SPRING BREAK ---- PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING ----- Message the owner with number of occupants and ages BEFORE BOOKING CONDO. Your spring break reservation is not guaranteed. References and additional damage deposit will be required. FAMILIES on spring break may receive a discount so please contact owner for special rates if available. Building and condo will be monitored during spring break. If you want to party than this is not the condo for you. During Spring Break, wrist bands for the stay may be required.

Pets are NOT allowed at this facility. Anyone bringing a pet will be required to leave with NO refund (HOA rules).

Just a quick note about linens and supplies. All linens are provided except for beach towels. There is no maid or towel service. For extended stays, you can have the maid "spruce" up the condo during your stay for an additional charge (you can work that out directly with the cleaning service/phone number provided). There are washer and driers across the hall for $2.50/load to clean clothes or clean towels. There will be one roll of paper towel and 4 rolls of toilet paper provided for each stay. Additional paper products are the responsibility of the guest.

Parking. There will be one parking pass to park on the Suntide II grounds for each reservation. There are provisions for front to back parking near the street for 2 cars. When we have 2 cars there, we park one on the grounds and one on the street. This is typical of condo rentals on SPI. All 4 condos we have been involved in only provide 1 parking pass per reservation. Land is a premium and very few have parking for more than one vehicle.

My family visited South Padre Island for a summer beach weekend with our two teenage suns, and we were glad that we chose this property for our stay. The check-in process was super easy. The unit was beautiful, updated, and very clean. High ceilings and extra windows since it's on the top floor of the building. Plenty of space. The mattresses were very comfortable. We especially loved the view of the beach from the balcony - amazing sunrises! And the easy walk to beach, restaurants and souvenir shops. The A/C worked well, although it sometimes felt a little warm in the bedrooms compared to the cooler temps in the living areas, but the ceiling fans in the bedrooms helped. Master bedroom gets bright early in the morning, despite the blinds - side effect of those gorgeous sunrises! The common area for the complex (pool and hot tub) could maybe use some updating but they were functional and clean. The sand volleyball court could use a new net, but that didn't keep us from having fun on it! (Not sure if the court belongs to the complex or if it's public?) We only cooked one simple meal in the unit, but the kitchen had everything we needed. All in all - we loved our stay and would definitely book again next time we return to SPI!

This was our 3rd trip to South Padre, our first time to stay at Suntide II. Unit 506 is by far the best Condominium we have stayed in. Easy beach access that was not crowded. Very short walk right to the beach from our unit, easy or my 16 yo and 17 yo to go back and forth. Didn’t have to worry about a long to the room. Cool AC and hot shower. Kitchen was wee equipped, clean floors, bedding, and towels. Wanna Wanna is also not to far of a walk for a drink and a good bowl of Ceviche. Would stay again, already planning to come back next month. Thank you to our host and property owners.
