About this cabin rental
A 2-bedroom cabin with a spectacular view of the Great Smoky Mountains, Woodshed is a delight to come home to after an action-packed day. Not only are the surroundings stunning and serene, but the cabin itself is a haven of calm and comfort. Every element of the home, from the outdoor hot tub to the deck rockers to the wood-burning fireplace, encourages relaxation.
Located in Gatlinburg’s private Cobbly Nob neighborhood—itself set within a 1,000-acre resort—Woodshed has a back deck that stretches the width of the house and looks out over dense woodlands toward the Smoky Mountains. You’ll be in laid-back vacation mode before you know it! Cook kabobs or fresh-caught trout on the charcoal grill—the fresh mountain air is an ideal seasoning—and then savor your meal out on the deck too, at the roomy patio table. And luxuriate in the outdoor hot tub while wrens and swallows serenade you in the daytime or owls and whippoorwills sing you a lullaby at night.
You don’t have to be on the deck to revel in the beauty surrounding Woodshed. The living room’s wall of picture windows floods the room with sunlight and lets you gaze out at the mountains even as you stretch out on the oversized leather sectional sofa. The sofa is, in fact, large enough for the whole group to sprawl out for movie night—the living room has a TV with cable and a DVD player. In summer, the ceiling fan will add a welcome breeze, while in winter the stacked-stone fireplace will bring a warm glow.
When you don’t want to dine on the deck, you can all gather around the indoor dining table, which seats 6. Likewise, you’re not limited to cooking on the charcoal grill. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, tableware, and even a dishwasher.
Woodshed has 2 bedrooms, one on the main floor and the other in the loft above, a layout that provides welcomed privacy. The main-floor bedroom, located by a full bathroom, has a king-size bed, a TV, and a ceiling fan to lull you to sleep. The upstairs primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom that includes not only a shower but also a jetted tub—just the thing after a day of hiking or biking the trails of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bathroom also has access to the upper-level balcony; enjoy a romantic glass of wine under the stars before turning in for the night.
As well as the opportunity for romance, the cabin offers numerous amenities, including a washer and dryer (here’s a chance to return from vacation with a suitcase full of clean clothes!), free Wi-Fi, a carport that accommodates 2 vehicles, and parking spaces for another 2. And did we mention that Woodshed is pet-friendly? Well, it is!
Another of Woodshed’s amenities is off-site: free access to Cobbly Nob’s 2 pool areas in the summer. What’s more, at the foot of the resort is the award-winning Bent Creek golf course, designed by legendary golfer Gary Player.
Just slightly farther afield are the restaurants, shops, and amusements of downtown Gatlinburg; the Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Loop, an 8-mile trail of more than 100 galleries, studios, and craft shops offering everything from stained glass to chainsaw art; and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.
No matter how you spend your days, you’ll relish returning to the comfort of Woodshed. Experience its calm and beauty for yourself: Make your reservation today!

The view and location were great. We loved that it was dog friendly and we were pleased overall. The beds were comfortable but somewhat noisy and the faucets may need to be replaced.

A very cozy place to stay. The view is really nice! Plus it's so quite! You can see the stars at night also. It was really clean.

We loved our stay! The house is a little outdated, but clean and comfortable. My only issue is that there was no ice maker or trays in the freezer. Also, our door code didn’t work. We called the office and she fixed the issue quickly. Would definitely stay there again!

This cabin has a gorgeous view of the mountains & is a 30min drive to both Pigeon Forge & downtown Gatlinburg/SMNP entrance. Be sure to bring your own oven mitts & kitchen washcloths/towels! Everything was clean. A bear snuck up on me and my daughters while we were in the hot tub (about 8ft from us) - pretty sure us 3 girls screaming scared all the bears out of the area for a long time, haha! We saw no bears the 4 nights after that.
Oven dial isn’t correct - turning it up to 350 is really 450/broil, so I set it around 200/250 & it cooked pizzas/cakes great!
Dishwasher didn’t clean, so we had to hand wash items which we didn’t mind.
Washer/dryer worked great!
Hot tub was awesome - minus the bear surprise haha.
LOVED the decks for sitting outside! So peaceful.
Despite what others have said, we found the beds to be comfy, but we’re also not very big people.
Drive up/down the hill is scary, but the more you do it, the more used to it you get.
Overall, we enjoyed it and would stay again!

We really enjoyed this property. Everything was as listed in the description. Roads leading to the cabin were a bit sketchy but after a few days coming and going we were fine. We were greeted by a black bear at the driveway when we arrived which only enhanced the whole mountain experience. The mountain view is amazing! We would definitely book this rental again.

Overall representation of the property was good. There were several issues with the cabin. The beds were absolutely HORRIBLE and need to be updated with new mattresses. The sink in the main floor bathroom leaks when you have the faucet on into the cabinet underneath. This was found when my hairdryer was pulled out to use and was dripping water off of and out of. The kitchen faucet leaks if not positioned just right. The microwave sounded as though it would explode when using it.
The freezer looked to have mold growing in it.... did not notice this until the day we were leaving. Glad we were not storing anything in it that we were using. The stove oven dial was completely unreadable.
However bad some items were the view was AMAZING. Appliances and plumbing need updated severely, as do the beds for the price you pay to rent the cabin you should be able to sleep, cook, wash comfortably.

I was not aware of how small the roads where and how tight the turns where to actually get to the house. It was very scary. If I had know I most likely would not have rented it. House itself is good, appliances are way out of date but the scenery was breath taking. If you bring a dog there really isn't much space to walk them.

We had great time, beautiful view, house looks good, will be back

We really enjoyed our stay but was very disappointed that the hot tub was broken an even though we contacted the property manager on day one, it was not fixed.

The woodshed was beautiful. The views from inside and outside were wonderful. We enjoyed being off the "path" yet so close to everything. We saw 4 bears as well, which I didn't think we would in January.
We would love to come back and enjoy...if upgrades to the beds are made. The downstairs mattress was not comfortable and every move we thought the springs were going to bust out. The oven needs upgraded or at least a new temperature knob..we just guessed what the Temp would be. The dishwasher (not that it's needed) but we had to hand wash all the dishes after it went through a cycle.
Overall we did love the area and the cabin..just wanted more rest..on comfortable beds. :-)

The kitchen appliances could use upgrading, but overall our stay was fantastic. Hot tub and view from the deck were outstanding!

What a wonderful adventure. Enjoyed it tremendously. It is everything Verbo advertises. A little off the beaten path but so worth it. Our dog never wanted to come. He was enjoying nature soo much. We Host was wonderful. Answered promptly and went over and above. We hope to visit again. John and Sue

We enjoyed our stay at Woodshed. Beautiful view and centrally located to venues in the region. Even blessed to see bears.

The property was very well kept and looks just like the pictures. The only problem I had is that the hot tub that’s on the listing doesn’t work. I called and spoke with them twice, was told someone would be sent to fix it, but it was never actually fixed.

We really enjoyed our stay but the beds and pillows r very outdated couldn't sleep very well but other than that it was good even saw a bear one evening

Would have been nice to have a step by step check in- we were given the run around on how to check in and where. One operator accused us of not signing the rental agreement (which we did), and the manager thankfully gave us better info to help us check in.

One of my favorite places I’ve stayed by far! The couch is outdated but overall experience is a 10/10! It’s in a nice neighborhood and still away for some privacy! Mountain View was unbelievable!

All of our woes were due to weather and TVA purposely intermittently flashing power which didn’t give enough time for the heat to cycle to warm the house for two days. Soooo buy firewood on your way in!
It was clean and spacious. The upstairs balcony, which had precious negative reviews, had been newly built and built well. It was family and pet friendly so there was nothing my 3 year old so desperately wanted to break or that my well trained, 10 year old Labrador needed to get into.
The furniture is definitely pet loved on… but isn’t that the point?
A shower drain drained incredibly slow and a sink faucet wouldn’t run cold but with a quick plumber call, easily would be fixed.
We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The view was amazing
The pools are really far
Place is outdated
Couch is embarrassing
Had a snake visit us by the hot tub the first night
Appliance need repair
Downstairs toilet just run hard to flush with it running all the time

Property management were great! The cabin needs major repairs and upgrades. Couldn't sit on the upper deck because the rockers were missing and the deck was rotted through. Tree over growth blocked the view as shown in pictures. Couch belongs in a frat house. Oven knob was worn to point of no numbers on the controls. Just a let down. Time to update pictures with honest photos. However the trip was fun and the weather was amazing!

Overall the cabin is roomy and has a lot of space with a spectacular and peaceful view.
It could use a few updates. The sectional couch is in bad condition. The top floor deck is has a huge hole in the flooring where a chair leg has potential get stuck in, or a toe stubbed on if you are not careful.
Cleanliness is a bit of an issue. This place was not as clean as most the cabins we have stayed in prior to this. We found dishes in the cabinets with food and stains crusted on them when we went to use them. The kitchen table chairs were dirty as well. They need a good wipe down to remove the spills off the legs of them. Other than dish soap no other cleaner or wipes are found in the cabin. It has a waher and dryer, but make sure you bring your own detergent. (Everyplace we have stayed prior to this offer a few pods and some cleaning products)
Overall stay was fine. I will say the rental company did call to check in on our stay and we told them it was all good because we were not in a place at the time to tell them of the things we found as issues.
Bonus: We did see bears in the area.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. I was clean but the windows and trim could use a wipe down, they were a bit dusty. Some furniture could use an upgrade but it wasn't something we didn't see from the pictures. It was easy to check in and check out. Overall we had a wonderful stay
