Unique and comfortable home right in the heart of Gardiner MT. The place is comfortable and roomy for a group of three. It's just a short walk to the entrance to Yellowstone. Great town and beautiful location.

The house was really nice, but it was on a busy street which I was not expecting, but it was fine. The view across the street is spectacular with mountains in the background. During a few early evenings of our stay at large elk was eating grass in the next-door neighbor’s yard! That proved to be very entertaining !! The house was very clean thankfully, but the beds unfortunately were not very comfortable, this is excluding the twin beds, which were the most comfortable of all the beds in the house. The master bedroom pillows were comfortable, but none of the other pillows were.. it would’ve been nice to know that they have dish soap, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, bath soap, shampoo, and toilet paper provided, we purchased all of this, but we would not have had we known that. Also, I wish there were more towels provided, bath towels, specifically. We could’ve used more for a family of four. Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay in the Little Castle! Gardiner is a nice small town at the north entrance of Yellowstone. This house is close to restaurants, shops and a grocery store. Very clean, had everything we needed after our days exploring Yellowstone.
Thanks for a great stay!

Great location - some might complain about being on the main street but by 10pm - there is limited to no traffic so didn't phase me sleeping. We used as a home base to hike NW Yellowstone - worked our extremely well. Nice old charm feel to the house and the steam shower makes me want to install one at home! Mark responded to most comments/questions within hours - great to work with.
An elk joined us two evenings on the side of the house as I was enjoying a beer rocking on the front porch swing.
The A/C units weren't great but it was in the 70s/low 80s when we were there, so limited need and maybe that had something to do with it.
We'd certainly rent again if back in the area.

We used this house as our base for exploring Yellowstone. It was a clean and comfortable place to relax after a day in the park and recharge for the next day.
Gardiner is a great little town. We could walk to everything easily from this location.
The house is as described in the listing. 5/5 stars. Would stay here again.

This house was great for our family of 4 adults. It was clean, comfortable and my favorite place was the swing on the porch both morning and evening. The view and people watching were amazing. Thank you!

3 bedroom older build home with well kept woodwork inside, updated appliances, comfortable beds, and window AC (late June stay so cooler evenings, nights, and mornings). We had easy access to Yellowstone so enjoyed 3 days visiting the park. Street parking was available we parked Wagoneer on, looked like it would fit in garage off an alley but we chose not to use it. One early call from owner, really did not need any more comms. We did have trouble finding coffee filters, kept right next to coffee maker in container, had label but missed it initially. We’d stay here again.

Great, unique place in the center of town. Restaurants, groceries wete within easy walking distance.
I had a bit of trouble unlocking the door because of my misunderstanding. I messaged the host and he called me within a minute or two and helped me.
Side note: There was a female elk hanging around across the alley from he house. She gave birth while we were there. So lovely to see the new calf!

4 adults stayed in this house. It was in a PERFECT location and super cute. It had everything we needed. It is the 2nd oldest house in town but completly updated. The home is decorated with 1 of a kind art, coffee table, king headboard, etc. Lots of wood but not over done. 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms. Perfect for our family of 4. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Primary and 1 bathroom downstairs. The hosts were SUPER friendly wnd even included a guide on the table for us. There were elk walking past the house EVERY day of our 7 day stay. We could have asked for better accommodations. Nice quiet little back yard with BBQ & a porch swing in front.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It is right in the center of Gardiner and convenient to everything. The grocery store is a few hundred feet away. Primary parking is on the street. We had no problem with it, even with two vehicles. There were always spaces available. The property also features a very large garage, but we didn't end up using it because the on-street parking was easy and convenient. The house itself is charming and was comfortable for our group of six. The view from the front porch was gorgeous, and I spent time just sitting out on the porch swing watching the world go by. We could see elk and pronghorns up on the mountain, and the elk occasionally came down into Gardiner and strolled down the streets. I highly recommend this place!

The house was perfect. Main floor primary bedroom with walk in shower was perfect for my mom. Upstairs bedrooms had plenty of space. Upstairs bathroom was adequate- not roomy but has everything you need. House was filledwith lots of extras: paper towels, spices , shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand and dish soap. Lovely place to stay.

This house is iconic. Step back in time with all the modern conveniences in a house that is right next door to Yellowstone. Having a garage is a great advantage in Gardiner where parking can be tight. A quiet and secluded rear patio was a great gathering spot in the evening. Fantastic week!

Was a wonderful property that has been renovated and has a very well appointed kitchen, great views of the mountains around Gardiner, and lovely backyard with grill. Everything we need to have a relaxing time. Near restaurants and park entrance. However, if you want to cook/grill they have everything you need and the grocery store is within walking distance. They even have a steam shower, great after a day of exploring the park!!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I really liked the close location to Yellowstone. We could walk to the arch entrance and were super close to restaurants, tours, gifts shops and Mammoth Springs. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was smart TV in the living room (we needed to shift furniture around a lil so we could all see the TV). The downstairs master bedroom is really nice and the downstairs shower was amazing. My family members stayed upstairs and felt it was outdated and needed a remodel. The wood flooring was old and uneven and the decor reminded me of my grandma's in the 70s. The 2 twins can't really go together to make a bigger bed like we planned. There was no nightstand in that room so we borrowed a wobbly table and doll light from the other bedroom so my mom had a nightstand. The upstairs shower was real tight with a small folding shower door and they felt there was little room for toiletries. The upstairs they used to sleep and went downstairs for comfort.
We all sat out on the front porch every morning and evening and loved it. We watched people and animals walk down the street and enjoyed the ambiance a lot. We could see elk on the hillside. The back porch was private with a grill and lots of lush beautiful plants and a cute bunny rabbit. The garage was huge but we never used it as there was good parking on the street in front of the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay; the price is right, the location is great and our family loved our Yellowstone trip.

The home was very comfortable and well equipped. It was clean and accommodating. Our only concern was that it was on a busy street

We had a great time at the property. It’s right on the main street in town, close to everything. It’s less than a mile from the Roosevelt Arch, and we watched the elk on the hill across the river from the front porch.
It was a perfect place for our family of 7.

Loved our stay at the Little Castle! Perfectly location for entering Yellowstone, and walking around Gardiner. Comfy beds, nice back yard and front porch. House is fully equipped for all of our needs. Bonus-- upon leaving early one morning we were delayed at the front porch by a Elk nursing her calf on the sidewalk.

Wonderful, clean property with a nice private backyard. Renovated heritage house. The owner was quite helpful and responds quickly. The property is steps away from Yellowstone National Park. I highly recommend the house. Thank you Mark.

The home is so unique and the location was perfect. We loved our mornings and evenings on the porch watching the elk roam, the walkability of the town, and the easy access to the park. It was a wonderful time for our family.

We had our Yellowstone Wolf Summit and this was the sweetest house to relax in after long days. Perfectly located to walk anywhere in town, with an amazing steam shower to help me relax and enjoy the greatest place on earth.

This property was right at the north entrance to Yellowstone. Great little town and good restaurant selection for such a remote place. Took a rafting trip with Wild West which was right down the street. Close enough to walk. Also did a e-bike trip with Big Sky. There is a grocery store very close to the property. Great trip!!

We loved everything about the house. The location was wonderful. We got an early start each day and headed out for adventure, hiking and enjoying the national park every day. We met the next door homeowner, Dave, on our first day, he was helping a stranded truck on the street. The next day he brought us delicious treats from his bakery in town. A few days later we met his wife Sharon. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The house had everything we needed, we cooked meals every day, it was convenient to have all the amenities and we enjoyed playing games and relaxing to prepare for our next day's adventure. Easy check in and out. Thanks for making our vacation one of our best ever!

Very comfortable for our party if 7. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants, bars, gift shops, guided fishing, whitewater rafting, and more. Beautiful yard. Plenty space for indoor and outdoor gatherings. Best of all, it’s a mile from YNP north entrance!!

The location is excellent. Very close to North gate and Lamar for animals. However the house is right on the Main Street of Gardiner which tends to be noisy throughout the day and early evening. Kitchen is very well equipped. The family room is not too comfortable. Roku TV with no directions was a disappointment. During our stay unfortunately the yard guy showed up to cut the grass right during the dinner hour would have thought during the day when guests are out would have been a better time. For those who stay must eat at Wonderland Cafe - amazing food and service. No status check from hosts or property manager during stay to see how things were going. If looking for North end of park to be you base you should consider Gardiner.

Mini-Castle stay in Gardiner!
We absolutely loved staying in Gardiner and having the opportunity to meet more local residents than we probably would have under normal circumstances. We made it to Gardiner the day before the town got landlocked from the flooding and road damage that occurred and shut down Yellowstone in June. We were grateful to have the gas fireplace in case the power went out because nights were still quite chilly. Fortunately power never went out. The house was very comfortable my three friends and I all enjoyed showers in the downstairs huge steam shower. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was nice to have access to use the garage which we didn’t take as much advantage of as we normally would have for fear of the power going out. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the market, restaurants and shops. Mark, our host, was very responsive throughout the entire stay, and very supportive when it looked like we may end up in Gardiner longer than we planned due to road closures. A volunteer came by the house to see if anyone would require prescription renewals be flown in if the road was closed for longer than it was. The local Gardiner Market and its employees provided communication and support to residents and visitors alike. Gardiner and its residents are amazing, resilient, gracious, and we won’t hesitate to visit again.

Great location!
We had a very enjoyable stay. This place is all about location with ease into the park every day. We spent many mornings sitting on the front porch enjoying the view. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms and beds were comfortable. The upstairs shower lacks but the downstairs shower makes up for it 10 times over.
Host was quickly responsive to a small issue. Overall highly recommend this house for a rental.
