About this house rental
4 bedroom with ensuite bathrooms and a bedroom loft, with full bath on main level, sleeps 12.
A bit of history...In the late 1890's, my great-grandmother and grandfather ran a boarding house and saloon in the mining town of Aldridge in Cinnabar Basin. When her husband became ill, they sold the saloon and boarding house and moved the family to a ranch property along the Yellowstone River which continues to be the primary residence of the Rigler family.
Fast forward...This development on the ranch property, Rigler's River Rest, is a timber home located 10 miles north of Yellowstone Park right on the banks of Yellowstone River. Situated on one of the few remaining riverfront properties with easy, accessible fishing from the banks, the four bedroom home and loft can accommodate 12 people.
Each bedroom features an ensuite bathroom and can be either a twin or king bedroom. The full bath on the main level serves as a bathroom for the loft that can accommodate up to four adults. The kitchen is a country chef's dream. With an open and social floor plan, the kitchen opens into the living room and dining room space. Outdoor space blends with indoor space, with floor to ceiling windows. It captures one of the most pristine views the Yellowstone has to offer.
There is a TV with basic service, Wi-Fi, central air and heat, and a free standing gas fireplace. Rigler's River Rest provides unparalleled 360 degree views of the Yellowstone and surrounding mountains. This place is ideal for groups of fishermen, family and friend gatherings or leadership retreats. Four night minimum stay; three night minimum is negotiable.
****Please note that there are no exceptions to my cancellation policy. Snow, floods, hail, rain, fire, bad traffic, cancelled flights do not exempt you from the policy. I strongly recommend you buy trip insurance to cover your trip in the event you need to cancel.

Wonderful stay! Loved the location. The kitchen was outstanding.

It was our second time to stay here. We were the 2nd family to rent it in 2018. We were so excited it worked out with our plans in 2024. Tara is an excellent host. She’s quick to respond to any and all questions or concerns. The views are spectacular and the floor plan is excellent for multiple families. Would highly recommend this VRBO! I hope to stay here again

Well designed home that could easily handle our group of 6. Excellent kitchen fully equipped with everything needed. Convenient location near Gardiner and North entrance to YNP.

The house, location, and communication were excellent. The house was very clean and well stocked. The views of the river are beautiful and the location is convenient to Gardiner and North Yellowstone. It was a pleasure to work with the owner and property manager. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

The house is spacious and comfortable and easily accommodated three couples and four children. The kitchen is well-equipped and a large dining table made breakfast and dinner enjoyable (lunch inside Yellowstone). Quiet location with splendid views of the Yellowstone River, and a cow elk nursing her newborn calf. Recommended!

Beautiful home with more than enough room for our entire family! The Riglers have done a great job on welcoming their guests & making them feel right at home. The river / mountain views from the decks were amazing! The guys had a great time fishing in Yellowstone River just several steps from the home. Super easy access to many shops & restaurants in Gardiner and, of course, the north entrance to Yellowstone is just a few minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & highly recommend this wonderful property!

The cabin is perfect and well situated right on the river. As the owner said in the welcome book her housekeeper is meticulous and the cabin was spotless. It is equipped for anything you may need to cook with if you desire to do so. The park entrance is just a few minutes away as well as a small grocery store for forgotten items. We were extremely pleased with our stay. As a side note if you get a chance to strike up a conversation with Mr. Frank I suggest you do so. He has some great stories of what it was like growing up there.

We are National Park people who have stayed in many rentals across the country. Without a doubt, this was one of the best stocked places we’ve ever been, especially if you like to cook your meals. There is every kitchen utensil, cooking appliance (slow cooker, air fryer, grill, etc) and spices/extra you would ever need. The coolers and bear spray made YNP days easy! The house was super clean and set-up for 12 comfortably. The best part are the views of the Yellowstone river and the close access to the park. It’s an amazing stay and we 110% recommend it. We will be back in the future as YNP is one of our favorite parks.

This property is outstanding. Not only is it beautiful but it’s extremely clean, extremely comfortable and very well stocked. The location is perfect if you plan on visiting the park. Tara was very helpful and informative and I definitely recommend staying here on your next visit to Montana!

We had the trip of a lifetime to Gardiner and Yellowstone. The house is located directly on the Yellowstone river which was a highlight for our family. My son caught a cutthroat trout before we even finished unloading the car! We enjoyed quiet time on the deck and away from crowds while having only a short 10 minute drive in to town when we needed something. This house is perfect for families with kids that want to play outside, whether it’s football on the lawn or fishing in the river. Tara and Susan have made sure that their house has everything you need to relax and enjoy the beauty of Montana. Book this one, you won’t regret it!

This property is very convenient to YNP. The accommodations were perfect for our family. Enough room so we were not feeling cramped. The guys caught fish in the river each day of our stay with access a few feet away. The owner was very prompt in replying to any questions or issues. Highly recommend this property. Thank you Tara for sharing your home.

The Rigler River Rest was the perfect home base for our Yellowstone adventures. The house is immaculate and plenty of room for a large group, excellent scenery, and fully equipped with pretty much anything you will need during your stay. Tara was great to work with and we will definitely return if we go back to the area.

Riglers Rest was a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Montana with Yellowstone right next door! Tara was very helpful with suggestions for Yellowstone tour and fishing guides and her Mom was very helpful with different hiking spots. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to eat in but it was also fun to go into Gardiner 10 miles away for a bite to eat too. I could go on and on but try it for yourself well worth it!

The house is beautiful and just as described! It is very clean, well stocked and the views are breathtaking. We loved our time there and enjoyed the park, rafting and lots of good local food places. Hope to visit again!

Our four generations of family members all truly enjoyed this location. It was absolutely the perfect set up -the walkout basement, had 4 master suites. Each one can be set up as two twin beds, or they can be made up into one king. Each of those four rooms has its own bathroom; it is very private. There is a loft above the kitchen which has four twin beds. This was a great place. However, it is noisy in the morning -obviously with an open loft above the kitchen. The living room, kitchen and dining area were perfect for a party of 12. It was comfy. It was clean. And it could handle us all well. The kitchen and toiletries were all fully stocked . I am already planning another trip here with 3 other couples. Communication with the host was very prompt and check in and check out were simple. The only 2 suggestions I have are to oil the doors (very squeaky) and to clean under the beds periodically. With that said still easily a 5 out of 5 property!!

This place is beautiful!!!! With such a big group we thought we'd have to bring or buy bigger pans not the case they had what we needed and then some. The house is spotless and so much room comfy beds and 2 big beautiful decks. This is a must stay at! And so close to Town and grocery store and shops.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The kitchen here is so well stocked I don’t know that there is anything that they don’t have. The bedrooms all had their own bathrooms which was so nice. The beds were comfortable. The house was so clean which added to the overall comfort. I absolutely loved having coffee on the deck in the morning while enjoying the mountain and river views. The proximity to town, the park, and hot springs was perfect. This was a GREAT, relaxing home to come back to at the end of a long day.

We had a great stay! This is our second stay here and it did not disappoint. The kitchen provided all the necessary appliances, utensils, and more! We highly recommend it and will stay here again next year!

Great location and loved the views from the patio. Beds were extremely comfortable. All 4 couples each had a king bed with their private bathroom. Hope to return.

Flexible bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen! Probably the best stocked kitchen of any house we have ever stayed in!

This home was perfect! The chefs kitchen was stocked with anything you would ever need. The set up of the house was exactly what we hoped for with a family with kids. We’ve sent this link to many families already looking to book for the next couple of years.

I cannot begin to say how wonderful this property is. We have never stayed at a property so well stocked with anything and everything you might need. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. In fact, I always bring my own pillow and used the one provided instead! 😃
The location was wonderful with mountain view’s all around and the Yellowstone River off the back deck.
We were able to see eagles and elk almost daily.
We had one very small problem pop up ( the gas grill tank was empty). And that was fixed within minutes.
Communication was clear and prompt.
We would most definitely stay here again. If fact we hope to.

Awesome is how our family (age 17 to 85) would describe this home. It has wonderful accommodations for a large family and everything needed for preparing meals. The views are beautiful. The host is always responsive and easy to work with. Thank you so much for your hospitality and would love to visit again.

Spectacular views and the cabin was very clean. There was plenty of room for all. My husband enjoyed talking to the owners of the property and they very much made us feel at home. Thank you for allowing us to see Yellowstone and Gardiner in such a beautiful setting. God Bless!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home with even prettier views. Easy access to Yellowstone and Bozeman.

Plenty of space for multiple families if you are getting away to the mountains. Right in the Yellowstone river, the views were immaculate. This property had everything it needed from extra toiletries, to extra bear spray (don’t bother buying your own, we left ours along with several other families).
If you are looking for a remote getaway, this place allowed me and my family to unplug from our phones and enjoy what nature had to offer. 10/10 recommend

Wonderful views (mountains and river), great for families with kids, exceptionally clean and excellent amenities! A must book for Yellowstone adventures very near north entrance and will see a ton of wildlife on the drive!

The owner was pleasant to work with and has the home organized very well. It sits right next to the Yellowstone River and is a few minutes from Gardiner. We were visiting the valley for a fishing trip and spent much of our time downstream at the Spring Creeks in Paradise valley, although the water in front of the home is very fishable too.
The kitchen is well outfitted and has just about every gadget and utensil you could think of. There are two furnished patios on the home. All of the bedrooms are on the basement floor (it is a walkout basement). The loft had 4 twin beds, and we had each of the four bedrooms configured with two twin beds (vs converting them to kings). There is a bathroom with shower on the main floor as well.
If we find ourselves up outside of Gardiner on a fishing trip again we'll certainly revisit this home. It's quite a perch to enjoy the beauty of this area in Montana.

This home is on such a beautiful location and has a great design to take advantage of the views. We saw wildlife from the living room windows. The kitchen is very well appointed and has just about anything one could need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and almost all rooms have a beautiful view. I would highly recommend.
