The pool was wonderful.
The staff was unfriendly. The lobby was not air-conditioned. Check-in was delayed by an hour. The food was not fresh. Not enough towels and blankets. The shower flooded the whole room.

Great swimming pools. Nice beach
Beds are uncomfortable. WiFi didn’t work. TV has few English channels. Couldn’t get extra pillows or towels or even refills of the coffee in the room. Even had to argue to get a second plastic room card. Unbelievable! Food was ok but the same food day in and day out.

Staff was kinda of uptight. Towels can only be changed every two days for the pool.
The kosher food option was very repetitive

The pools were very nice, but some of the gym equipment needs a lot of attention. The staff in the Kosher Dining room were very friendly and attentive.
There could have been more variety in the meals that were served in the Kosher dining room. The meals were very repetitive.
The servicing of the rooms was very slow - the one day the room was not serviced until after 15.00 even though the please clean room sign was on the door from 8.00am.

Room, food, near of the beach were excellent
The internal pool not warmed, too cold to swim so not usable.
All the pools outside and inside, just to look not to use.

Breakfast was very good. Room very good
It's a shame that the pool wasn't heated and the jacuzzi didn't work.

The Kosher food at the resort was excellent. The staff in general was very helpful.
The indoor pool has no heating and was too cold to swim in. The WiFi at the hotel was absolutely terrible and very difficult to use, especially for video.

Ants on the floor in our room. No potable water supplied. Toilet not working well. Spa area looks very neglected- especially the sauna.

Food was good and plentiful - large and varied breakfast selection. Staff was responsive to my needs. (There was a wedding, which involved a large number of guests arriving at once and the reception staff were efficient and patient.)
The iron and TV were faulty (old) - but when I complained, they WERE replaced. The shower, similarly, needed work - naturally the staff could not bring a new one... But it was usable (and there was also a bathtub which was fine).

great location on the beach and close to all other attractions
the staff were not pleasant and the cleaning was minimal
2.0 / 5.0
The staff was generally friendly, the suite was spacious. It was a convenient solution for observers of shabbat and kashrut.
I was extremely disappointed in the pool and spa. It was clearly advertised on the Blue Lagoon Hotel website that the spa facilities included a heated pool. The pool was freezing cold and not being able to swim on my vacation was very disappointing. The jacuzzi was not warm and turned off every few minutes. The steam room did not work, If you are looking for a spa experience this is not the place to go. The housekeeping was very minimal and supply of products was minimal. The hotel is old and run down and needs a renovation. I complained several times about the pool and the front desk insisted that they do not advertise that it is heated. I showed them otherwise but no one came back to me to offer any sort of compensation. They should have comped me a massage or given some indication that they cared about how upset I was.

Good location and parking. Cleaners excellent and prompt. Nice grounds and access to beach. Shabbat meal is better than weekday and the staff in kosher canteen helpful. Lovely shul on site and access to a coffee machine 24/7. Nice large hotel. Comfy beds.
Air conditioning and heating turned off - told that as its winter to open a window if hot. Thus difficult to maintain a temperature.
Evening meal is the same every day and reminiscient of school canteen food and different to the images shown on advertising. Kosher dining hours are far more restrictive just 2 hours morning amd evening. Have to ask staff to topup food once trays become empty sometimes.
Swimming pools not heated despite winter.
No vents in bathroom so there is a persistent musty smell that deteriorates as your stay goes on.
Staff seem disinterested in feedback.

It was a great family hotel. They changed our room due to damp problem, and helped us with all our needs. Kosher food was varied and tasty. Would like to come back again next year.

We loved everything!

Magnificent outdoor pools and sea views.
The hotel is very run down. The front desk staff ranged from vaguely helpful to Basil Fawlty aggressive. Some kind of problem with air conditioning possibly meant we woke up on the first morning to find clothes inside wardrobes and papers I’d left out were damp. They told me it was my fault for leaving doors open and that they had no other rooms for us to move to. I heard at least three other guests complaining about similar problems.
We mainly went though for the kosher food option. I was expecting something like a reasonably good Israeli hotel breakfast. There was some semblance - salads, cheeses , hot dishes etc but basically this was a cheap skate version - ‘orange juice’ for example, was actually weak orange squash ! Dinner was slightly better- but same ( now tired looking by the end of the day!) salads, various but not very varied , hot dishes and if you wanted ice cream you had to dig it out yourself from the freezer. Everything was basically done on the cheap.

The pool
The food, the accomodations, the rude guests that were not dealt with by the hotel staff, the rooms are old and rundown.
The kosher food wasn't good.
