About this house rental
OVERVIEW
This lovely beachfront home on the preferred North side of Cayman Brac offers gorgeous sunset views and access to the best scuba diving and snorkeling sites near the island. Dive boats routinely drop anchor about 300 feet straight out from the house.
Custom built in 2016, the house features one queen bedroom and bathroom with shower/tub, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a lovely combination dining and living area. The home is decorated with vivid color photographs taken around Cayman Brac by renowned underwater photographer Bill Goodwin. With beautiful tile floors, crown molding, quartz counter tops, central air conditioning, and full-sized washer and dryer, this home has great amenities, including high speed Internet, new flatscreen televisions in the living room and bedroom, and a separate outside shower. Our television features subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime and a streaming TV subscription with expanded sports and news packages.
The oceanside covered porch is the perfect place to drink a margarita or a glass of wine and watch the sunset. In no time, you'll forget the stress of life back home and adopt Cayman Brac's easy, relaxed "island time" lifestyle. Twin hammocks swing in the gentle ocean breeze under the shade of the house's raised structure, which also provides covered parking for one vehicle, and our home comes with "his" and "hers" bicycles for exploring the area.
Our island beach house is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple. It sits at the end of a road near only two other beach houses: a great location for quiet and relaxation. The house is centrally located in Stake Bay within easy driving distance of good restaurants and grocery stores. If you decide to bring another couple or the kids, the house will accommodate two additional people sleeping on a comfortable, eight-inch-thick, queen-sized foam mattress that may be set up in the living room.
ABOUT CAYMAN BRAC
Cayman Brac is located about 90 miles East of Grand Cayman (a 30-minute plane ride) and five miles east of Little Cayman. The island is about 12 miles long with an average width of a little over one mile. Named after its rugged bluff, which rises along the length of the island up to a height of 141 feet (Brac is a Gaelic name for Bluff), The Brac is home to about 1,800 permanent residents. A world-class scuba diving and snorkeling destination, this off-the-beaten-path island also features several caves, rock-climbing, hiking, and a wild parrot preserve. Drive down any of the island roads and you may or may not meet any oncoming traffic. But drive on the left side of the road! After an early morning trip to the lighthouse to watch the sun rise, stop by the fairgrounds to marvel at the parrots. When you don't want to cook, there are several good restaurants on the island. Public sandy beaches combine with the rugged "iron shore" around most of Cayman Brac
makes it distinctive. Everywhere you look, however, you see crystal clear water!

House is private and is within feet of the ocean. Balcony offers spectacular views of ocean and sunsets. Entry into the ocean from the property is tricky but doable. AC works great. The house is centrally located so getting to other parts of the island is about the same whichever way you go. Great place for a getaway.

We look for lodgings that are clean, affordable, allow us to provide our own meals as desired, in a somewhat remote or uncrowded location, with a view that brings a smile during our early morning coffees. Stan’s unit met all our expectations and more. We enjoyed our stay in his home during our dive vacation at the Brac.
Due to the stairs access to this unit, not recommended to handicapped or mobility limited individuals.

My fourth visit...

I was a bit worried at first about the signs that said, "Shoreline access only, no swimming" but there is nice snorkeling right in front of the house, slightly to the left. You absolutely must have water shoes or flippers that cover your entire foot. Radar Reef is also very close and great snorkeling there. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the house and it looks even better in person than in the pics. The fan on the porch is great and it's just beautiful there as well as being very quiet and peaceful. Hope to get to come back one day. Thank you for an awesome place to stay!

Very comfortable and clean home. Very quiet area and centrally located. Marcia met us at the airport and showed us to the home. It also has a very well stocked kitchen which was appreciated. It is right on the ocean so the view from the deck is fantastic. Can't get much better than this place.

We had a lovely stay again at RazorBrac SeaEsta. Beautiful sunset view each night! Enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks under the balcony while looking out to the sea.

Very comfortable home away from home. Beautiful sunset view from the balcony or hammocks. All the amenities needed for our 3 week visit. Stan was great to communicate with about anything. The property managers Marcia and Paul were amazing! Very convenient to all island activities and stores. Snorkeling and diving right off shore!!! We’ve stayed at 3 different places in our 5 visits to Brac. Definitely hope to stay at Razor Brac Sea Esta again!!

We love Stan's place and Cayman Brac. Our first stay was 8 days, this one was 2 weeks. We are already planning our Spring trip!

The house is absolutely perfect for a couple who is looking to spend some time together off of the grid. We were traveling kid-free for the first time (leaving 5 young kids at home), and this was truly the perfect relaxing house for us.
First we were greeted by the hosts (Paul and Marcia) who escorted us from the airport to the house. The house itself is located right on the beach, with a beautiful, private ocean view. We sat outside every morning with our coffee and just listened to the ocean and enjoyed the breeze.
The house itself has everything you need, including a washer/dryer, snorkel gear, beach chairs, bikes, and more. During the day, we were able to use the bikes to bike around the island (we would definitely still recommend a rental car).
Every night we were able to enjoy a cocktail from our own backyard and with a beautiful and direct view of the sunset (we just took a couple beach chairs down to the beach in the backyard to watch).
The only downside to the house is that the water on the north side of the island was a bit rough and is very rocky so despite the oceanfront, we did not attempt to swim right off the house.
Thanks Stan and Rita, you’ve got a great place and we hope we can come back again in the future!

The pictures are accurate, RazorBrac is a fantastic well-kept place right at the water's edge. Cayman Brac is so small and quiet. Snorkeling, diving, cycling and hiking are minutes away. We have already booked 2 weeks here in November...

Patti picked us up and immediately made us feel at home...answering all our many questions! Razor Brac was pristine clean and very comfortable...it had everything we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely be back!!

It’s always a pleasure to stay at RazorBrac “sea esta” - our second time. Well appointed home with beautiful views. The house is amazingly positioned so that the deck is in the shade most of the day. The property is very quiet and everything is a pictured. You will enjoy your stay very much. Thanks Stan and Rita

There is so much good about razor brac! We had so much fun...it is quiet and private. It is clean and new and lovely. Head straight off the shore and you will see amazing things...I only snokeled in front of the house but I almost always saw squid, and a huge spotted eagle ray and some yellow stingrays and numerous other fishes...the diving in brac is almost always wonderful. Brac is definitely a place to go and get away from the resorts and razor brac is the perfect place for a couple. Gorgeous sunsets and night stars! The main downfall was that there was very little water pressure and not much hot water(which isn’t too bad in a beautiful tropical climate!). I forgot to mention the great outdoor showers!! And the hammocks were delightful!

RazorBrac is very clean and is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The washer/dryer was great to have as well. The location is very convenient to the West End area where most of the restaurants and good snorkeling spots are located. The view from the porch (and inside the house) could not be better!
We did snorkel from the beach in front of the house but be prepared, it is rocky, but not impossible to navigate. There are 2 dive buoys in front of the house.
We debated renting a car but we were glad we did. The island is small but having a car to explore the island is a must.
Patty, the property manager, was right on time to meet us at the airport and help us pick up the rental car.
My only suggestions for improvements would be more pillows for the bed, outdoor chairs and table for the porch (there are folding chairs provided) and chaise lounges for the beach (we did use the hammocks).

We had a wonderful time at RazorBrac! The house was new and well designed with all the neccessities. It really is right on the beach! The bed was very comfortable (we have back issues so that is always a huge deal for us!) Stan replied immediately to any questions we emailed. The location was peaceful and quiet and no street lights, we love that! The island is amazingly safe and pretty and clean ( except the usual island issue with plastic washed up and adding up in less visited parts of the coastline.) We went scuba diving just about every day for 3 weeks and never got enough! the shore diving is so amazingly easy, with swimming pool like entry spots ( get a shore diving book from Brac Scuba shack) there are ladders and most have CLEAN bathroom s with showers and toilet paper and everything. Incredibly civilized. I informed Stan that a rinse tub for gear and some sturdy outdoor hooks for hanging gear to dry under the house, would be a great addition to the outside shower and hose setup there. He is on it and I am sure that will be remedied as he just returned to the island. In the meantime we rinsed our gear at Brac Scuba shack. The diving is really very very good! My husband is a professional diver and we do a ton of diving. This is a top Caribbean dive location for us now. The island is VERY quiet, Religion plays a role in government decisions and that was a bit odd to us, but we dont travel for night life, we travel to dive. There ARE a couple of lively bars, lots of expats and some pretty little beaches too. Plenty of groceries...
Rent this lovely home and have a wonderful trip!
