Really well located, welcoming staff, and easy to park the car around the hotel. The room was big, with a big bed and a private bathroom, for a reasonable price

Old place with character! Room very comfortable and spacious. Martin the host very nice and accommodating. Common longe comfortable and homely.
I really, really enjoyed my stay here! Nothing I disliked.

I liked the idea that it was such an old building, 99 years old, apparently. We had a complete suite, with fully equipped kitchen, living room area, dining area, bedroom and bathroom.
It looked a bit dated and it was a mix of styles, which sermed to have been done haphazardly.

No breakfast available, cafe nearby was closed
It was the start of the season, so getting a meal & drink was a challenge

Old fashioned but very nice rooms
Long stairs

It had cooking facilities, and fridge, kettle, which was a bonus as there is no where to eat other than the pizza place next door. It was a good location and good for a one night stopover. Wi-Fi was good.
This place needs some serious TL C doing to it.
We arrived and we had to call a number to see how to get into the place (which was keypad operated) and which room we were in. Not ideal when we had just driven over six hours. It was very dark in the stairwell with old wooden (historic) stairs. Our room was quite spacious, but badly in need of redecorating and sprucing up. It was very tired looking I didn’t find it very clean, there were bits of debris in the cutlery draw. The bottom shelf had not been cleaned there were ring marks on it, the bin was filthy, the was a mis match of everything, I washed everything before we used it. The coffee machine drip tray had not been cleaned out. The bathroom was functional, the pale green shabbily towels looked like they had never seen a washing machine, they were thin and rough.

This is a quaint property. When I first walked up the very old staircase I was a bit nervous about what I had gotten myself into. However once I came out on the 3rd floor common area I was pleasantly surprised with the decor and comfort. The kitchen provided everything we needed. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean.
Being on the main street many large vehicles began travelling at about 0600 creating much noise and the end of our sleep.

Super clean. Comfortable bed. Nice common area with small kitchen, coffee machine, etc.
The creepy racoon at the top of the stairs, made me jump every time lol.

The location in Stewart is fairly good. You are on a main street near two open restaurants. It's a quaint old building. The Wi-Fi was fairly strong. The common area, while cold, was spacious and fairly comfortable.
The bed was not comfortable, and the kitchen wasn't great either. The building was cold and slightly drafty. The room was small and a little cramped. The shower randomly changed in temperature all over the map without touching the knob.

Breakfast was very good with homemade jams

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was huge. Common area well appointed.
I prefer a personal check in, as opposed to a “call this number…”
It was unclear how to turn the heater on.

look nice from outside
the water was leaking from rood into the kitchen. it’s not clean and it doesn’t smell good. windows were dirty too. only 2 restaurant in town open but for one you have to book btw 10 to 1. we arrived at 4. the other restaurant was serving ribs but they ran out of ribs after 10 minutes so I ended eating fries for dinner….

The room and bathroom were immaculate and charming (in the best sense of the word). The room gave us a warm spot in Steward while we went to see the bears chasing the salmon in Hyder, Alaska. We were nice and warm while it was raining outside. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again. The hotel was located by very good restaurants.
I always liked this place. There was nothing disappointing about it.

It was very clean. The renovations were done very good.
Beware, there were 38 steps to get to our room. A very old building.

There is an amazing common room/living room and dining area on the third floor.
It was fine.

Convenient kitchen with a fridge, stove and microwave.
Very outdated, small bathroom. Very expensive.

Stewart is a place to go for the nice hotel rooms alone which are nicely decorated and for the mexican restaurant opposite of the hotel, not forgetting the amazing views of glaciers and mountains there. A very nice discovery

Classic and crooked old wooden hotel on the main street in Stewart. Easy walk to everything. Creaky doors and slanting floors. Comfortable rooms with good hot water and nice showers. I slept great. Quiet at night. Easy remote check in. Nice common area on the third floor. I would stay here again.
Slow WiFi.

Looking at a glacier from our room window...awesome!....and the room and bathroom were great! Location right in the middle of town!

Stewart is a wonderful place to stay, and if you are thinking of stopping in you definitely should. You're surrounded by ancient forests, freezing rivers and snow-capped mountains. What's not to like?

I was traveling solo on my motorcycle and had injured my back, the owner switched my reservation to Bear Valley Guest House by the owner to make it easier for me to get to my room. the Guest house was very nice, clean, modern.
There was nothing I didn’t like about Bear Valley Guest House.

It is fairy clean and the bed was comfortable. It is located on the Main Street of town so you are close to the shops and cafes. It has a common area you can hang out in if you’re feeling social or if it’s rainy.
The place looks charming but when everything is crooked and things are sliding off the table and floors are creaking it takes away from the charm. I get it’s an old building but as I was falling asleep the person on the floor below me started talking and I could hear the conversation clearly and my hearing isn’t that great. There weren’t enough hooks or shelves to put anything which is too bad.

it is an authentic experience. spacious room in the downtown area. if you need a room for the night this is the place to go.
we arrived here on a scheduled power out day. all the restaurants were closed. if we were informed about it before we would still come but be better prepared for the dinner option. now there was no where to go.

It was quiet
3 flights of stairs
