We spent a few days at this property in the middle of September. The weather was beautiful and allowed us to explore Mackinaw Island, the Soo Locks, and a few other sights. Our kids also enjoyed swimming in the lake, which was shallow and sandy, allowing even our younger children to enjoy the water safely. Overall a great place with lots of room and very quite and easy to get to. Thank you!

Eagle’s Nest is a beautiful property. Everything the listing promised. Well stocked kitchen, lots of outdoor seating, enough Kayaks/Paddle boards to allow the family to enjoy the lake together. The location is soo peaceful and close enough to the beaches and Mackinac ferry and other places to visit while in the UP. My family loved our week at this house and highly recommend it!

Dennis is a great host!

Our crew wanted to get together so the cousins could spend the holiday together, and the adults wanted to do the Labor Day bridge walk. Eagle's Nest was the perfect escape from our realities and the perfect place for young cousins to make memories together. Thank you for sharing such a gem!

Our week at Eagles nest was amazing. There was nothing we wanted for. Every room was meticulously, decorated and clean. I would love to go back again.

Rented the Eagles Nest and another property down the street for a family get together. Cabin is tastefully decorated, apportioned nicely and well supplied. Was the perfect place for my family and relatives. Lots of movies, games, and water toys to keep the children entertained. Of course they loved the ducks too. Highly recommended. Discussing making the Eagles Nest an annual trip for my immediate family.

We stayed at the cabin for a week long family vacation! The home was clean and the kitchen had every item you could imagine. Dennis and Linda were very prompt when asking questions before and during the stay. We had a problem with the grill and Dennis had it taken care of the following day. The beach area was perfect for young children as the water is extremely shallow. We brought our jet skis and were able to attach them to the dock. The week was very memorable and we look forward to coming back. The only thing down side was that the mosquitos were horrible. I would recommend having the property sprayed. The neighbors had their property sprayed early in the week and that did help a little. Overall, I would recommend this cabin for any family looking to enjoy a peaceful time away on a lake!

The property is cozy, well kept and clean! There is not a detail the owners haven't thought of. The lake is peaceful and sandy. The location is secluded. There are a few neighbors that are relatively close, but not invasive with lots of trees in between the properties. Dennis was a great host and quick in response with the one question we had. We've stayed at a lot of great rentals over the years, and this is the only one we would, and probably will, rent again!! My only suggestion.....a knife sharpener for the knife block.

This was a delightful experience, albeit too brief. The log home was beautiful, the property well tended, and the location ideal. The owners were excellent hosts, and we so appreciate the use of their lovely home. We had not done anything like this before, but they made it smooth and easy. We certainly have no complaints. Thank you for having us!

This home and property has everything you need regardless of the weather. Beautiful lake property supplied with water crafts for your enjoyment. During inclement weather there are games and movies to enjoy. Our family of ten fit comfortably around the large dining table and enjoyed the large deck and the fire pit by the lake. Highly recommend if you are looking for accommodations close to St Ignace

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is full equipped.
This property was as advertised on VRBO. Lori an Dennis were great to work with. Many family memories were made. Our day trips were in nearby proximity and very enjoyable. You should seriously consider this property for a stay in Michigan's Upper Pennisula.

Perfect
We had an excellent stay at the Eagles Nest and the name is perfect as we saw eagles every day along with many other animals. The kids had names for all of them as they were daily visitors. So peaceful and quiet and great for children of all ages. Close to many popular UP attractions and Lake Michigan beaches along US 2. The dune directly across Brevoort Lake was a hit with the kids and had a rope swing over the dune. That was a daily visit. Just a great overall visit and owners were prompt in responding to any questions. Can’t go wrong staying here!

Brevort Memories
The home was wonderful! Very clean and had everything you could need. Kitchen was heavily furnished, more so than any other VRBO I've stayed in. Silverware, plates, mugs, glasses, pans, griddles, ... you name it, it's there. 9 of us stayed there with beds to spare. The lake was nice, just like we remembered it. Caught several Northern Pike and Walleye despite being there during the Mayfly hatch. Doug was great with communication. I had a few questions while in the home on where to locate certain items and he responded back within minutes. There are ~30ft of wetlands between the lawn off the deck to the lakeshore where the fire pit and dock are. There are boards lining a path through that area to help keep feet dry. The family had a lot of fun fishing and exploring the area. We'd love to do it again sometime.

Perfect "Girls Weekend Away"
Very clean and lots of amenities. Unexpected warm weather in May for the U.P. Wish we would have packed bathing suits for the sup boards. Comfortable beds and beautiful view.

Great Location
The cabin was a perfect getaway for us. Since we were there in late October the weather wasn’t really conducive to utilizing the beach but inside was nice for just lounging and chatting. We all had a great time

Fantastic Place
I have nothing bad to say. This place is phenomenal! The cabin is fully stocked in the kitchen, I have stayed places in the past claiming to be "fully stocked" and being no where near stocked. This location is 100% ready and accommodating. The beds were cozy, the house was set up very quaint, the views were amazing, and Dennis was wonderful to work with. Everyone in our group has talked about how they can not wait till our next visit. We will definitely be staying here again! If you are looking for a place to stay at Brevoort, this is the best option!

Great Family Vacation Home
This is a great place for a family vacation. The home had lots of room for my family (7 adults and 4 teens) and made it easy for us to take day trips to Mackinac Island, as well as Tahquamenon Falls, and Pictured Rocks. We definitely recommend!

Incredible property
We had a great week at this incredible property. Property owner very responsive to minor issue or question via text. They have thought of everything to make the house perfect (think hooks in the exact right places to hang wet towels, bug spray sitting right near the fire pit at night, fans if you get a bit warm on a summer evening, extra blanket thrown over the chair in case of a morning chill). You will not be disappointed. The only challenge we had was the WiFi, while I am sure it is very good for that area it was very bad for what us city folks were used to. Cell signal (Verizon) two solid bars at the house unless the clouds came in and when out exploring the UP also very poor. Locals were so friendly and gave us directions when needed since gps was not great. Can’t say enough good things about this place and hope to be back again soon.

Family Summer Vacation
We have stayed in many VRBO rentals over the years and this was the cleanest. The house is well stocked for cooking and location is great for lots of hours of fun on the water. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin.

Michigan reunion
We were looking for a vacation home for the family to all come together again to relive vacations from many years ago. This was the perfect "home". It was spacious and comfortable (warm home feeling) and had everything we needed. We not only enjoyed the house but also the lake and all of the accessories. With the long shallow shoreline, it was perfect for little waders, and the boats were great for just rowing and enjoying or for fishing. The location was central to a lot of our activities: Mackinac Island, Tahquemenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Pictured Rocks Boat Tours, etc. The only negative was not being able to stream or download with the internet, and internet connection was slow. (We had some family members that still had some last minute work deadlines to meet and this made it more difficult, not impossible, just more difficult.) Overall we really enjoyed Eagles Nest (and yes, we saw one!) Thank you sharing your home!

Beautiful escape
We loved our time here with family! Dennis was a responsive and friendly host. The house had everything we could have needed for the week. We especially enjoyed the private, quiet lakefront for swimming (sandy beach/ shallow water for the kiddos, kayaking and watching the wildlife). We saw bald eagles, loons, deer, baby toads, and lots of dragonflies! We were even lucky enough to catch a beautiful double rainbow from the dock. It is a great location for day trips to mackinaw, tahquamenon falls, and other scenic spots. We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future!

Cozy log cabin
Nice cozy cabin on large lake. Lots of options for both indoor and outdoor activities, summer and winter Great for family fun time or time with friends. Many nice amenities to make it easy to "just move in". Depending on government "lockdown" rules, restaurant, tourist and shopping options may be very limited or non existent. Clean, comfy. Wi-fi a bit weak. Mobile limited.

Great getaway!
My wife and I rented this property in October 2020, seeking to get away from the city, and this place was perfect: gorgeous, cozy, dog-friendly, and remote-but-not-scary-remote. It's about 30 minutes from St. Ignace, about 75 minutes from the Tahquamenon Falls, and about 50 minutes from Sault Ste Marie -- great location!

Beautiful house and property!
The house and property exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed for a 4-day stay - well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, fire pit, fireplace, and a beautiful deck and backyard with access to the lake. We enjoyed the house so much that we could have stayed there for our entire trip without ever leaving. The house is easily accessible from I-75 and is centrally located enough to drive to a variety of hiking destinations (1-2 hour drives). Dennis was a fantastic owner - communicated very well with quick responses and gave great information prior to arrival. Highly recommended! Definitely a place we would return to!

Amazing home with stunning view!
Attention to detail for sure, lots of towels, blankets, and any extras you may need but forget to pack. The house was beautiful, super clean, and well organized. The property is breathtaking with views of the lake. Wood was all ready to go for a fire and a perfect view of sunset. We traveled most of the day on our four wheelers and this was a great place to stay with ease of access to all the sites. We ate at the Buckhorn which was suggested by the owner and they did not disappoint! We only had two couples in our party so the house was bigger then we needed , but we couldn’t pass up this property. Well definitely be back!!

one week fall getaway
My husband and I just returned home after a one week stay at the cabin. It was one of the best rental properties that we have ever stayed in. It was a beautiful clean cabin just a short distance from Mackinac bridge. It was in a very private location so it was very peaceful and quiet. We strongly recommend the cabin, and it would be a great place to visit any time of the year.
