This home now has a free standing gas stove where you can see the flames, similar to wood burning appearance! Watch some TV, complete with Roku, Netflix streaming, and a DVD library and player. Check in with folks at home with the complimentary WiFi.
At mealtime, cook up something delicious in the well-equipped kitchen, which features standard appliances, including a dishwasher. Savor your meal with your guests at the dining table for six. A wonderful, pet friendly home just a short walk from the beach access. The fenced yard and dog-friendly access is the best part.

Cute little cottage, cozy atmosphere & well stocked kitchen. Short walk to beach. Fire pit in backyard was a fun way to relax after the day's activities. Fireplace inside was wonderful for chilly mornings. Would stay here again.

I loved the quiet neighborhood and the location was near so many places.

Overall my fiancé and I loved this place! I will say the photos are quite different then what it currently looks like. There are no longer the bunk beds, we didn’t have access to the bikes also but this wasn’t a big deal. We loved how close this was to the beach, and how homey it felt. My only complaints would be that the indoor fire place would immediately trigger the fire alarm, so we opted to not use it. We also noticed that there was a lot of dust and unclean surfaces, as well as half used shampoo available. Not huge issues because we were more interested in exploring, but for the price, the cleaning could be a bit better. For the location, I would highly recommend this house.

It was a great location for the things we enjoy at the coast

We enjoyed our stay in the cute cottage, so close to the beach and met our needs.

Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Beds were comfortable enough for decent sleep. Shower was small but functional. Driveway definitely could fit two normal sized cars, bumper to bumper, although was a bit narrow. Quite close to the beach access point.

All was well except the door lock. It was night when we arrived and the wind was blowing; very cold. After many attempts to work the lock we gave up and called the host. He was very nice and said he would bring a key as the lock box didn’t contain a key. While he was coming we tried the door lock one more time and it opened. Once inside every thing was excellent.

We stayed at this cottage with our 6 year old and 1 dog. My son loved the bunk beds and toys that were available. It was such a great little getaway. We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I are always looking for a cozy place on the Oregon coast that will take dogs. Last year we found a place that ended up being a nightmare. Not as advertised, extremely small, allowed pets but was basically a bad hotel room. We were looking for something stand alone this year, a little closer to the beach. Found this wonderful cottage and booked it, hoping for a better experience this year. It was everything we could’ve hoped for. It would be a little small for bigger groups, but was more than enough for the wife and two dogs. Very quiet neighborhood, parking was a little tight for a truck, but we had no issues. Cottage was clean and comfortable, honestly only stopped by to rest a minute or sleep. We did not use any amenities, but nice to know all of them were available if we needed. We look forward to staying again next year.

This is our third time staying at Cottage in the Grove. Perfect for a couple with a dog. Would not recommend for larger groups. The location to the beach is perfect, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Side Door Cafe is a 3 minute walk from the house if you want a nice dinner for take out or dine in.

It was clean and odor free. Rooms were all nice. Had almost every amenity you could want. We had a really nice time there. Oh, and pretty close to the beach too! We’ll definetly come again ☺️

Super cute and dog friendly house, close to the beach and great location. If i’m getting SUPER nit picky then small things like the windows and there was a little dog poop in the yard but none of those made the house or trip less enjoyable. 5 stars and totally recommend!!

The house is comfortable and in a great location. We walked to the beach a couple of times a day. It was never crowded and the few people we saw were very friendly, most of them live there. It's not a luxury rental, but it is clean, quiet & comfortable. The firepit in the backyard is a nice touch - we sat outside one evening & made s'mores. The DVD player didn't work but that was not a big problem - a minor inconvenience. Overall, this place is a great value for the price.

The cottage is very well stocked on linens, and kitchen utensils. In a very quiet cozy neighborhood. Just about a 3-4 block walk to the beach.

Great little cottage with room to spread out. Located in an out of the way spot, we could do the tourist thing during the day in Newport or Lincoln City and come home to peace and quiet. Short walk to an uncrowded beach as well.

This was our first attempt at a place other than the "looking glass inn", in my advanced RA I can't go without AC so we had to adjust. This was perfect! There were pans, dishes, cook wear, and utensils... We should have brought a few things... Tin foil, pam spray, and seasoning (pepper and salt). The shower was small but there is an outdoor version that would help those that are on the bigger size. The fact the beach is so close was great, a slight hill to the beach which for someone with walking issues is hard but there is a parking lot just at the entrance of the beach which was awesome! It's such a peaceful place.. So if you're looking to party - this might not be the place, we saw patrol officers and cops many times in just 2 days, which I was very happy about-I felt very safe! So peaceful and nice. Trying to figure out my next visit booking on line was so simple and check in and check out was so simple. I had codes, logins and info the day before check in! There's grocery just down the street and restaurant (2 min walk) if that just down the street! We should have gone but didn't see it until we traveled all the way back to Lincoln City... We were bummed we spent time we didn't need to and got burger king and wished we had gone to the shalishan tavern instead. The fire pit would have been amazing but we just didn't have a chance to use it. Can't wait to return... It's a great place!

It was a nice little cottage for a quick getaway. The check in and out were easy, the place was clean (just visual wear and tear that happens with an older building but it was clean!), well stocked kitchen of many tools and appliances you might need to cook. Washer and dryer worked fine- watch the washer it can get out of balance and shake out of its spot. The beach was close, it’s a quiet little neighborhood. Lovely time, no issues

The location of this quaint little property was good for us as we were visiting family nearby. It is also a close walk to beach views and access, which is nice. The inside of the house was clean, but there were about 3-4 large piles of dog feces in the yard, which we picked up. The window coverings in the kitchen and dining area were badly broken, which the property manager did offer to attend to but it wasn't a huge deal for us, so we declined. The dish washer was out of service and the two ice trays in the freezer were both broken/leaking, so we had to go to the market and buy a bag of ice. The bathroom is spacious and clean, but there is no fan and it is located pretty much right in the kitchen/dining area. Also the shower is extremely tight. While the yard is fully fenced in, it is quite short so if you have a large or motivated escape artist of a dog, beware. Also the pans in the kitchen seemed to all be scratched and warped, so they wouldn't lay flat on the stovetop. These are all things that wouldn't bother us much if we were indeed just paying the advertised nightly rate, which is very reasonable, but after paying all the VRBO/Vacasa fees, the nightly rate is about the same as a nice, oceanfront hotel room with a later check out.

The rental is an interesting “old fashioned” beach house. It was comfortable and well located for beach exploring or visiting between Depot Bay and Lincoln City. There was a wood stove and a fire pit but we found no evidence of firewood. A little disappointing since there was no mention, on the listing, of the need to bring our own. It would be nice if the broken blinds on the kitchen & dining room windows were replaced or at the least removed, and the dishwasher fixed.
All in all, we were comfortable and would be happy to rent the place again.
4.0 / 5.0
The cottage was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful beach nearby, and got to see seals splashing in the surf.
It was disappointing, though, that a number of the entertainment amenities in the listing were either unusable or missing altogether. The few board games were incomplete or lacking instructions. The foosball table was broken; there was no Wii, and no Roku box. Fortunately the weather cooperated so we weren't overly reliant on indoor entertainment. An e-mail describing these issues to Vacasa has thus far been unanswered.
The clothes washer seems to be in need of repair as well--it made an awful racket during the spin cycle.
These concerns should be easily remedied, or the described amenities should simply be removed from the listing.

We enjoyed the location of this cottage and it was clean, but it could definitely use some updates.

No one was comfortable here. The bunk beds are for young ones only. Only door was to the bedroom. Not a door to the "second" bedroom. Overgrown plants outside not maintained.. We deserved 3 nights and left after 1. Disappointed my parents, my husband and myself.Wasted 2 nights rent as well.

This little house is in a nice location to go in to Lincoln City or head south to Depoe Bay and Newport. The short walk to the beach is pleasant. Walk to Side Door Cafe for really excellent food. Or get their take out lunch and picnic at the nearby beachside park.

Two old college dorm roommates, from way back in the 1980's, met up and used this as of it home base for 4 days of fantastic ocean activities.

From the short walk to the shore, to the cute little wrap around deck, we loved our time at the cottage. We got the necessary downtime we needed to recharge. Nice amenities and a fenced yard for our pooch.

Went there with my partner for the weekend and couldn't have asked for anything better. The location was conveniently close to all locations we visited (Lincoln City, Depoe Bay and Newport) and the house was comfortable and very clean. There was soooo much space - almost too much for us!! :-) This place is definitely perfect for a couple with kids!
The only negative thing I can think about is the size of the shower — my partner and I are of average height and slim and we both struggled a little to get in it. It was really not a big deal for us at all, however I imagine it would have been a much harder time for older or disabled folks, or even someone of a larger build. Other than that, it was definitely a positive experience and we would for sure stay there again!

Our second time there. Love this place. Great fenced yard for the dog. Short walk to the beach.

Sweet little cottage with wonderful amenities. Homey and comfortable.
This property is one we will be booking again for a short vacation get away. It is well kempt and well stocked with whatever one could need. The master bed is a bit difficult to get into and out of but comfortable. Love to see the bathroom blind reversed so it pulls up from bottom of window vs down as usual. This would allow light while providing privacy. We brought our own wood due to an online review read by my friend. Thankful we did as the fireplace is wonderful!! It is a sweet little get away perfect for walking to and from beach as well as all about the neighborhood.

Comfortable little place in a quaint, quiet residential neighborhood. 5 min walk to beach access. Plenty of tableware and kitchen appliances. Comfortable bed. Will look into staying again next time we are at the coast!

Great loacation
Lovely home and close to the beach. Nice to be on the out skirts of town which is busy at times. Quiet neighborhood. Could use some cleaning under the furniture but otherwise clean. Very well stocked with linens. Also outlets in the bunkbed room would be convenient.

Two days in the sun 😎
I planned this trip almost two weeks in advance, and we really got lucky because it's the end of January, mid week, on the Oregon coast and it's almost 60 degrees and sunny !!! The place was very clean and it was oh so comfortable. Could be a good place for a family but it was a romantic retreat for us and with a wood burning stove it was really easy to set the mood... I only have one thing to say, I should have brought my laundry..full size washer and dryer... It was a perfect place

Nice, private, well maintained. Close to the beach, I could hear all night as I slept, bonus! What more could one ask for? Not much.

Could have been the weather, as it was really storming the entire time.
Cabin probably great for summer when you aren't inside most of the time. Couches okay, but not particularly comfy. Had 7 mo and couldn't let her crawl around as floor wasn't very clean, but everything else was clean and well stocked.

Weekend getaway
The location of this house was awesome. A short walk to the beach and the neighbors were friendly.
The yard was perfect and no signs of previous pets.
