About this house rental
This Property is located in a very private location, beautiful waterviews with horses for neighbors. It is a 5 minute ride to both the beach and downtown Chincoteague.. Please let us know if you have any questions about our home away from home. Enjoy the serenity of Assateague Island lots of wildlife to see, watch horses while relaxing on the screened back porch. The property is located in private community. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The first floor has a large living room and dining room, kitchen, half bathroom and a screened in porch.
There are 2 Fishing marinas on the south end of the Island on Main St.
2 miniature golf courses on Maddox Blvd.
Wallops Island on the road into Chincoteague and is home to the Eastern Shore branch of NASA, they have a Museum for kids and if you’re lucky there could be a launch scheduled during your stay. Launches can be felt and viewed off the back porch.
For boardwalk and amusements Ocean City MD is 1 hour drive north.
Chincoteague Island has a Movie theater on Main Street.
There is a Super Market in town on Cleveland Street.
Wine and cheese shop on Main.
There is a liquor store on Pension St.
Bloxom Wine Vineyard is a short drive south of Chincoteague on 13, if you go make sure to talk to the owners (very interesting couple).
Historical towns up and down RT 13.
Lighthouse tours on beach access rd.
No building is permitted on Assateague the adjoining barrier Island; therefore you must drive your car to the beach. I find this very convenient since you can unload your gear right on the beach.
Lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
Along the beach access road you will find many nature trails where you can view many species of birds, deer and of course the wild horses.
The beach is a short bike ride from the house.

The house was very clean. We could not get enough of the views from the back deck to the front porch. Cheryl had bathroom and kitchen supplies available in case you forgot something. She was quick to respond to questions we had and very kind. It was a wonderful hideaway on a quiet street. We saw deer and foxes every day. We hope to come back again.

Very , very nice home. Very clean. Well furnished, fully equipped kitchen. Convenient and close to Assateaque National Park and beach, and area restaurants. Lots of parking. Secluded and private.

No complaints about the house but will say “watch horses from the house” refers to domestic horses next door, not wild horses. View is also misleading as the only visible water is across the street through neighbors yards. Close to everything and very clean and well stocked.

The beach house in Chincoteague had nice water views to Assateague Channel and the bay. We enjoyed seeing the sun rise from our bedroom! The place was well appointed and very pleasant to stay in. Being at the end of the road in a spot that is so quiet was magical! Lovely.

We enjoyed our stay. This home is thoughtfully appointed for comfort and has everything you need. We enjoyed the view of the ponies and location is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood still close to everything on the island. The owner was super responsive. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

The house was nice and clean upon our arrival. The host provided a lot of info before our stay to help us out and also helped us during our stay. The location was nice not right on the water, but it provided a little view of the water and plenty of bird sightings. In all, I would come back to stay.

Perfect location, just a short drive over to the beach! The house was great, the pictures honestly don't do the house justice, very nice and spacious! Don't hesitate to stay here!

Amazing property to watch sunrise and wildlife! The house had everything we needed for our stay. It was convenient to Assateague Beach. We also stopped by the NASA visitor center during our stay. We loved the house! It’s super clean and well supplied. We really appreciated having everything ready for us. The beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. This is a great spot to be - near Assateague and Maddox activities I would definitely rent again. The host is very gracious.

Great home to stay in. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, master bathroom shower is outstanding. Great location. You are close to the beach and only an hour drive to Ocean City MD beach and boardwalk. The views from the house were gorgeous. We saw deer and fawns walking across the front yard. The ponies across the street were out in the field too, they were fun to watch. The home is so spacious and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Chincoteague. It’s a definite 5 star accommodation. Thank you for allowing my family to stay at your beautiful home. Oh and Cheryl is great at communicating with you also. She answered all my questions in a timely manner.

Spacious, comfortable home away from home in a peaceful, private setting minutes away from restaurants, attractions, and the Chincoteague wildlife refuge. Nice views from the screened-in porch and the large windows throughout. Communication with Cheryl was great. Highly recommended!

What an amazing, magical little town Chincoteague is! Couldn’t have been more thrilled renting this house. The pictures don’t do it justice, it truly is lovely. The kids had a blast watching the horses in the next yard (not noisy at all), and the house, while secluded, was extremely close to everything. My wife and I loved sitting on the screened in back porch, very tranquil. I would definitely stay here again!!

This was a much-needed trip for my sister whose husband has been fighting cancer, my cousin who lost her husband unexpectedly earlier this year and myself. We are all quite close, but we have had to put off seeing each other due to their circumstances and of course, the pandemic. The house was absolutely perfect. Very comfortable, beautiful surroundings and just enough to do. We loved the house so much that we ended up spending one entire day just relaxing at the house, catching up, and taking walks around the area. The beds are very comfortable, the fireplace was a delight, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed. The host was extremely responsive to our questions too. Can't say enough good things about this stay.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week on the island in this home. The property description and photos were very accurate. Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood with only a short drive to the wildlife refuge and beaches as well as Main Street and restaurants. The home was very clean and kitchen had all that we needed. The screened in porch was an excellent place to view the marsh view as well as neighbor horses. Cheryl was great to deal with and provided all the information we needed in a very timely fashion. Highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Private; close to beach
Our family (two adults, a toddler, and a baby) had a great time at this property. As others have said, the photos don't really do the place justice. The home itself was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. There were also beautiful views in every direction - sunrise from the front, a neighbor's horse/pony pasture to the side, and the big marshy area (we saw many birds, some deer, and a fox) off the screened-in porch out back. The location was perfect for quick drives to the beach.

Special stay in Chincoteague
The location of this house is absolutely perfect! You can see the bay as well as marsh land. It’s the last house on the street which is closest to the bridge going to the Chicoteague beach. It’s a wonderful little hideaway to relax, hear the birds and enjoy friends. I highly recommend it. Carol

Can't say enough about this lovely property! Nicer than we could have expected! Very clean, had everything we could have needed and plenty of porches to relax on and take in the beautiful views of the marshes (and wildlife in them!)

Family Vacation
Can’t say enough what a great stay we had. I think the house is even nicer than the pictures show. There was more than enough space and amenities for a family of 4 with 2 small children. The house is close to Assateague Island beach and downtown Chincoteague Island, but quiet and off the beaten path. We absolutely loved everything about our trip and would highly recommend this house.

Simply perfect!
Cheryl's home was everything we could have hoped for and more for our getaway to Chincoteague. Located at the end of a quiet, pine-lined street, the back of the house overlooks a large stream bed/wetlands that was so beautiful. We saw so many egrets, deer, and even a bald eagle. What a wonderful way to start the day, with a cup of coffee watching the wildlife from the screened-in back deck!
The house had everything you could want or need inside too. A well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds...and everything was very, very clean. The location near the bridge to Assateague Island was perfect for bike rides each day. What a treasure. Thank you so much!
